Yelp
great selection of dishes for a buffet
We headed here to try all of Andalous' dishes after visiting their cafeteria style location in Irving.
The restaurant is spacious enough for large groups and is a buffet. We went around 3 on a Saturday afternoon, and for two people with tax, it was $47.67.
To start off with, there's a large selection of dishes to choose from. From the sides, I had the hummus, and it was decent and the correct consistency and flavor. I also had the tzatziki sauce, which I felt was a little on the watery side.
Coming along to the breads and rice, the pita bread is so soft, and one of the stars of this buffet. It made a great pocket for a gyro sandwich. I also tried the vermicelli rice, which was fluffy, and well seasoned.
Moving along to the main dishes and meats, there's a lot to choose from. First off, you HAVE to get the red snapper. I was hesitant because I don't like fish outside, but I LOVED the red snapper. It has a slight tart aftertaste, and it's so soft. It went so well with the rice. I also really liked their gyro meat, koftas, fried fish, and chicken nuggets. The rest of the meats were good, too.
I liked that they had 2-3 selection of desserts unlike other Arab buffets. Out of the desserts, I liked their rice pudding and soft serve ice cream the best. Brownie was okay, but it had a more cake-like texture. Baklava was also okay.
