Yelp
I spent twelve nights here in March, and a couple of nights in February, and really enjoyed both stays. A bit farther from work than the Apex Temple Court, but I had a nicer experience.
CHECK-IN:
Check-in was flawless the first two times, and minimally (a three or so minute delay) flawed the second time. The response to this slight delay was almost comical, in that they profusely apologized, offered me a free glass of wine, and there was a card from the manager in my room the next day apologizing.
It was also very cool, with an iPad, etc.
ROOM:
I've had three rooms here, two for one night each, and one for eleven nights. All were quite nice.
All rooms have very nice beds, bath amenities, relatively spacious bathrooms, and minibars with free snacks and nonalcoholic beverages (plus alcohol, but you have to pay). I remember being annoyed at the shower splashing water on the floor in one bathroom, but not in a huge way.
I used a Hyatt upgrade to a suite for the long stay, and let me tell you, the room was fantastic. It was open, but had a large bedroom with a separate office area, a sitting room, a big closet room with wardrobes on one side and space for a suitcase, and a huge bathroom with a separate shower and tub. The toiletries were very nice and the towels were very high quality.
If there's one minor, but sometimes major, annoyance with the room it's that it didn't have an ironing board and iron. You had to request them, which was just a pain at 7 AM when you're trying to get dressed.
BREAKFAST:
Breakfast was included with my room (though they kept billing me for it, and the charges were removed at the end) and was very nice. I used the buffet every day, which had an excellent selection of breads, cheeses, hot items, yogurts, etc. Superior to the Apex Temple Court I'd say. When my friend ate one morning with me, the charge was GBP24, which I felt fair.
FACILITIES:
The gym was very nice for a hotel gym. Spacious and quality equipment.
There were several bars and pubs at the hotel, as well as nearby. The wine list at the bar/restaurant Eastway was very nice and reasonably priced for a hotel in London. That is to say, it was stupidly expensive but not more than you'd expect.
Wifi is included with the room.
LOCATION:
The location is great, especially for business, but also for leisure. It's next to Liverpool Street station in a great City location, but it's still close to all of the trendy places in Shoreditch and East London (which is more my cup of tea honestly than Soho, even as a gay dude).
Highly recommended.
