Andaz Mexico City Condesa - A Concept by Hyatt (Mexico City, Mexico) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Condesa has long been one of Mexico City’s finest neighborhoods for fans of luxury boutique hotels, and with the advent of the Andaz Mexico City Condesa it’s more true than ever. This is high-end, high-style hospitality on a larger scale than this neighborhood has previously seen; this Deco-influenced monument was designed by architect José Luis Benlliure Galán as something of an homage to the Mexican modernist Luis Barragán. Of course it’s notable for more than its design — the rooftop pool and restaurant stands some 17 floors above street level and offers unparalleled views of the city." - Tablet Hotels

Great location. Super friendly staff. Room decent size for 2. Housekeeping did a great job. Overall had a great stay. Only two small issues- not much light in the rooms, which I didn’t love because I like it light and bright! And the bathroom is not separate from the room you sleep in. You can hear every sound the person you are sharing a room with makes when they’re using the toilet or the shower. This wasn’t a dealbreaker for me because I was traveling with my partner, but I’m not sure if I’d want to stay in a room like this if I was traveling with a friend.

I had high hopes for the Andaz Mexico City, but unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. While the location is absolutely fantastic — right in the heart of a vibrant area with tons of shops, restaurants, and walkable attractions — the overall quality of the hotel didn’t match the brand reputation.||The room felt a bit dated and in need of refresh. There was an unpleasant sewer-like smell coming from the shower, and to make matters worse, we ran out of hot water during our stay. The lobby had a leak at one point, and the rooftop pool — a major reason I booked this hotel — was closed for a full day with little communication.||On the bright side, the housekeeping team was excellent — fast, thorough, and friendly. The staff overall were kind and professional, doing their best to make the experience pleasant despite the issues.||I used points for this stay, which made it a good redemption value-wise, but I likely wouldn’t return. There are plenty of other options in Mexico City that offer a more consistent experience.

Overall, the stay was nice - great location, upgraded to a suite, great breakfast buffet - but this is not one of my favorite Andazes. Basic pros and cons below:||Pros: Amazing breakfast buffet. Lots of choices, great quality and plenty of space (some hotels have very cramped breakfast facilities)|Great location - Condesa is a great neighborhood filled with restaurants, bars, stores and a nice park|Nice rooftop bar/restaurant|Lively/hip clientele||Cons: Layout is confusing - the Mondrian and Andaz share the hotel and it is confusing where each hotel actually is and which facilities are theirs (I bought a muffin at one cafe thinking I could charge to the room, but it was the Mondrian's cafe not the Andaz's.)|Gym is very small (both hotels share it) and, while there is a water station in the gym, there are no cups - you have to bring your own water bottle|Rooms are so-so - not particularly big. We got upgraded to a suite, but it was basically to regular rooms that were attached with a small doorway at the very far end - it did not lend itself to moving between the two rooms.|Staff was so-so - not rude, but but not particularly friendly.||Basically, it is a fine choice for Mexico City, but not special. On my next trip back I will likely stay elsewhere.

Stayed here for a 4-day vacation and had such a wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived the staff greeted us with such hospitality and were so welcoming (special shout-out to Marcos for leaving a handwritten note commemorating our 5-year anniversary!). The location is excellent as well with easy access to parks and restaurants. The rooms are impeccable and the staff ensures the rooms stay clean and are well-stocked with waters. Highly recommend!

A beautiful oasis in the heart of Mexico City. We had an outstanding stay at the Andaz in Mexico City. The hotel is in the most beautiful location. Quiet, close to Parque Mexico. We loved meeting people walking their dogs. The hotel itself is calm and has a beautiful rooftop area. The customer service was outstanding. Couldn't believe how friendly and helpful everybody in the hotel was, particularly Alan and Hugo. And all in all, I can't say enough good things about this hotel. and I will be back for another stay at some point in the future.

Good location near Parque de mexico. Just a little weird. Two hotels in one sharing the same lobby-ish. Great gym. Food marginal—mostly bar food everywhere. Limited wine selection. The buffet is huge and good. Horrible room lighting unless you like dark. Can be old taco g one of the busy streets or loud if you are over floor 14. Felt like we were in A disco trying to sleep. ||Quieter places but nice.

Really solid stay at the Andaz in Mexico City. The service stood out—everyone from the front desk and bellhops to housekeeping and the Cabuya restaurant team was friendly, helpful, and actually seemed to care about guest experience in a way that didn’t feel forced. After even brief interactions, staff followed up and remembered things, which made a difference. The hotel shares a building with the Mondrian, which isn’t ideal in terms of signage or layout—it can be a little confusing to find your way around at first. But once you’re in the Andaz side, it feels calm, clean, and well-designed. The rooms are comfortable, the Wi-Fi is strong, and the bath products smell genuinely great. It’s those little touches that made the stay feel thought-through. I especially appreciated Minerva and Alan on the management team—they were approachable and proactive, and clearly care about how the place runs. If you’re looking for a hotel in Condesa that’s stylish but relaxed, with good service and attention to detail, this is a great pick.

We had a great stay at Andaz Mexico City despite some noise issues on Friday and Saturday nights from the club downstairs and an event upstairs. While this was initially frustrating, the hotel staff handled it exceptionally well. The supervisor was incredibly friendly, acknowledged the issue, and assured us they would address it through follow up. Beyond that, the hotel itself was stylish, modern, and had a fantastic atmosphere. The service was top-notch, and the staff went out of their way to make us feel valued. If you’re staying over the weekend, it’s worth checking about potential noise, but overall, we’d definitely return for the excellent hospitality!
