Andaz Xiamen

All is good. The staff Felix is young, but helps to understand my staying request and meet my requirement.||The room and all the hotel decorations combine Chinese and SE Asian colonial style, clean and bright, love it.||The staff are very polite and always greet when seeing you approaching.||The restaurant is also nice and you can also walk around to have the good meals due to there is a fashion mall next to the hotel.||Would like to stay here next time again.

This hotel is really cool. It felt like a Park hyatt the minute you walk in to the entrance. You feel like you are in a five star hotel somewhere in Thailand or other SE countries. The hotel is meticulously decorated with artworks. Hallway and checked floor are so nicely done. Word is that the hotel has received many awards for its architectural design and it shows.|The location is excellent. It is close to the Xiamen train station for highspeed rail. it is connected to MixC mall, which is one of the biggest mall in Xiamen. The mall also have underground connection to the Metro line. So one can take metro from Xiamen station to the hotel. |Xiamen weather was quite hot around our stay. It is really nice to have a hotel next the mall so I can stay indoor as much as I can, and go outside when its cooler late afternoon.|I am a globalist and I was upgraded to a corner suite which has 2 toilets and a giant bathtub which I didn't use much. The room is nicely decorated, very clean and minimalistic but with interesting colors. It is stocked with free minibar items, plenty of water bottles. We have stayed at Andaz before. It is suppose to be a hip luxury hotel similar to W. Beds are comfortable. TV comes with free movies (in Chinese). The view is mostly city view which is expected in a downtown hotel.|The hotel breakfast is excellent. It costs around 200 rmb per person but we got it free as globalist. Its a buffet style and you can also order from a menu which has specialty dishes. The foods are top notch. |The hotel Bar offers free drinks (2-5pm), free drinks/desserts (happy hour 5-7pm), and 1 free non-alcohol drink per room (after 8pm) |We didn't visit the pool and the gym. I can see the pool from my hotel room, maybe saw 1-2 people swimming.|People have been saying on little red book that the Wardoff Astoria is a better hotel. I would disagree. Wardoff maybe more luxurious but location wise Andaz is better.|We had a very enjoyable stay.. will definitely come back again.

Xiamen Andaz Hotel is located in the downtown area of Xiamen, with very convenient transportation. It is a 10-minute walk from the city center. Although it is in a prosperous place, it is not noisy at all, just like an elegant manor house. The decoration style is both modern and luxurious, showing the strong style of Andaz and Nanyang and the unique architectural aesthetics of the brand. The hardware facilities in the hotel, whether in the public area or the guest room, are so good that there is no room for criticism. The details are elegant. The twin room we stayed in this time has a single bed of 1.5 meters. The breakfast is great! There are many special foods, highly recommended

Perfect location for local food and shopping. Not far from the airport - great choice for overnight transfer. The room is spacious with excellent service! Also I like the deco style and design - now I’d like to explore the Andaz hotel in other cities as well!

Had quite a pleasant stay in this hotel but there's still room for improvement in:1. Breakfast - service is ok but salmon is fishy and loaves of bread are not up to standard2. Happy hours - too much sweets, will be perfect if more salty snacks and small bread rolls with butter and jam are served. Some staff are nice except a male staff with glasses on (seems to be the head) who is not so warm and hospitable though quite committed to his work.

As expected, the Andaz is one of the better hotels in Xiamen, also centrally located. Breakfast was good, very fresh produce and nice coffees. Very nice architecture and great service overall. Rooms are large and fully equiped with everything you need.||Roy - Frissebips.nl

Before coming to Andaz Xiamen, we did some research and found that there were mixed expectations of the hotel and staffs. To our surprise, everything is better than we expected. Our personal experience is the staffs are all pleasantly welcoming us and the hotel conditions are well kept.

Great location- within walking distance to the Xiamen train station ( via mixc shopping mall)Comfortable rooms with Toto type WCs located in a separate “powder room”.First ever dedicated bench for putting on shoes near the main doorway! All hotels should have this!A dedicated “ dressing room” with dressing table and wardrobe / luggage rackUnfortunate location of the safe suspended over the luggage rack . DANGER! Head bumped into it numerous times while accessing contents of luggage! Don’t use the luggage rack!!!Breakfast was ok. Only wanton soup at the open kitchen ala minute counter. All eggs had to be ordered to the main kitchenOverall service standards are good….Special mention : Aaron at the concierge desk: one of the best we have encountered in an our travels! Very knowledgeable , professional and well mannered!
