Where to Get Satisfying Salads in San Diego - Eater San Diego

"Part of Mo’s family of restaurants, Salads a Go-go offers healthy daytime options in the heart of Hillcrest. Enjoy filling bowls like the Warm Mushroom & Tofu Salad with ginger sesame tofu and mushroom over spinach, radicchio, frisée and watercress with toasted almonds or the Moditerranean with kalamata olives, crumbled feta (dairy or vegan), pickled red onions, cherry tomatoes, garlic roasted chickpeas, green beans, shaved radish and fennel with sunflower sprouts tossed in red wine vinegar and extra virgin olive oil." - Kelly Bone

The portions are large and shareable. The salads and their ingredients are fresh. There is a bright menu board to your right once you enter. You can pre-order and pick your order up when you arrive. That's probably the best option. There is outdoor seating. I had the cobb salad which had chicken and ham and grapes and cheese and was delicious, my partner had the Tijuana Caesar salad which he really enjoyed and our friends had the warm chicken salad which he finished off with no problem. The salads run about $10 to $17. I'll definitely go back.

The former tacos libertad and caché speakeasy is back! Now called the boardroom soiree. It still has all the same beautiful French style giant chandeliers, toulouse-lautrec drawings on the walls, dripping candles. The entrance is still the freezer door in the back, it can also be accessed through the back of barrel & board. They have great bartenders that make fantastic drinks with beautiful flourishings, they also offer a good list of mocktails...I really liked "like a virgin". The only thing I didn't like was the DJ in the corner, it's such a uniquely beautiful place and it just seems wrong to have club music... I'm looking forward to checking out the live music on Wednesdays :)

&bar is such a fantastic place for cocktails, and when the kitchen is open to order from Barrel & Board, the charcuterie is so fresh and delicious. Some of the best bartenders in Hillcrest, and the vibe is always so welcoming.

Christmas is here and brought strong and very affordable drinks. It’s so tastefully decorated for the season.

A favorite neighborhood spot! Always happy to see Gunther or Jordan behind the bar and their happy hour can't be beat. Such a great vibe every time and cannot believe how stellar the Christmas decorations are, like HOW?? Love 'em.

My first time here and I'm impressed! I've been indulging in a lot of 'unhealthy' comfort foods lately, and needed something light but filling. Salad To Go Go has a great variety of salads (I think 20 or so)...something for every palate. I was feeling frisky, so I ordered the Thai Surf and Turf. It was deeelish! The beef was incredibly tender and the shrimp perfectly seasoned and grilled. Winter doesn't scream fresh veggies, but every piece of lettuce was crisp and crunchy. Got The Roast salad (vegan) for my spouse-yams, butternut squash and beets. It looks amazing. The best part is the salads are made to order-nothing sitting around in a fridge getting limp. Thanks for the solid customer service and yummy lunch. I needed this!

Fantastic first visit. Already know which salad I will be having next! Thank you to Chef who came out and talked to me about the menu. Thank you to the host who guided me through the modern ordering process. I felt safe, happy and very full after my surf and turf salad. Many good wishes to the new restaurant! Be back soon!!

Very rude customer service. It was my first time there. I’ve only been in there for literally three minutes. I went right in to use the bathroom and I received bad customer service from a lady there. She was very rude. Very dismissive for no reason at all. it was my first time there just checking out the bars in the area she walked up to me and asked me what do I want as I was checking out the bar as if I was not invited there I don’t know this woman and I’ve never seen her before in my life so it was weird energy that she gave off to a first time customer there especially since I didn’t have any drinks inside of me yet I don’t know what the issue was, but it was very rude Customer service she has gave that nobody should ever have to experience. I will definitely be telling people about this place of how rude the staff is this was very uncalled for
