"For years, you’ve bought their products in the grocery store, but in early 2020 Anderson Dairy will debut a new hub for wholesome goodness on Henderson's Water Street. Described as an “old-fashioned ice cream shoppe mixed with a modern Instagrammy flair,” the reported 9,000-square-foot space will move into the vacant, 14,000-square-foot former Bank of America building at the intersection with Pacific Avenue, adding a retail section and a cafe." - Bradley Martin

Google
Great ice cream and milk is also delicious. Tours given to schools for free and ice cream of course is on the tours. Everyone is able to see what goes into making gallons of milk and ice cream.

Manager at the mechanic shop is overwhelmed. Has no clue what he’s doing. He relies to heavily off the mechanics and doesn’t do his job as a boss. Got into a fight with jay because I informed him a truck needed some more work done. He said wasn’t a mind reader and I needed to bring these things to his attention earlier. So I politely informed him Casey the boss above him told him about it yesterday He got mad started yelling at me and put his pen in my face so I swatted his arm away and pushed him. Very unprofessional.

It was an awesome free tour! The tour guides were very knowledgeable, the tour is kid friendly and very engaging. Plus the ice cream at the end is a great & deliciousway to end!

I've travelled and lived around the world. Anderson dairy milk is by far the best tasting.

Google
Tour of the factory was fun and informative. There's a room with animatronics and short films. Great for kids! They have the best ice cream.

This free tour is great for kids ! They give u free icecream at the end too!

Google
It is the worst tasting half and half I have ever had. It has a kind of metallic taste. I have gone to different stores thinking I just got a bad batch but it was the same no mater what store I got it from.

Google
This is a company with quality in product and integrity. As other reviewers mentioned, a gallon of milk went bad but the company cared enough to investigate the issue. It is the only milk my twins will touch so there’s that too. I will forever be a loyal customer to Anderson Dairy!

Yelp
Tasty tour for elementary school aged children. Lasts about an hour. It starts with Calcie The Cow who provides tidbits of information at the very start and finish of the tour. The film portion takes up a large portion on the tour. Being a local myself, I enjoyed hearing about the history of Las Vegas. But in my opinion, it was a bit too long for the targeted demographic. 1st graders aren't known to have the longest attention span. But once they hear the words ICE CREAM, they're all ears. The tour itself consists of a quick walk down a long hallway with vintage neon signs, old photographs and our tour guide telling us about the beginnings of the company. She was very engaging, asking the children questions to keep them interested. You can tell she's done the tour many times before. Immaculate facility but it's not on the best side of town. I probably wouldn't have visited on my own but on this particular day, I was a chaperone for my daughter field trip. Didn't see many employees walking around the facility, just mostly machinery and animatronics. The tour concluded with a scoop of ice cream for everyone. Highlight of my daughters day.

Yelp
I am so disappointed once again with Anderson Dairy.A while ago I bought some pralines and cream ice cream. When I fixed a serving, there were no pralines in the ice cream. There was just walnuts. I called in to let them know that maybe they had a bad batch on the shelves. They explained that they changed the recipe due to customers complaining about the pralines looking like mold. They apologized, gave me another flavor and explained that they were going to change the recipe. It's been over a year and I decided to purchase again. Once again they are not selling pralines and cream. If you can't get it right, just take it off the shelf. This ice cream is a little gritty, not much caramel and has walnuts.

Yelp
I've never had this brand before. We came into Vegas to visit for Thanksgiving and were looking for vanilla ice cream to serve after our dinner. Anderson's I've cream was the only brand left in the refrigerator at Krogers. The ice cream was horrible it tast like it was made with bad milk or something? My sister was sick after eating it, but we're not absolutely sure if it was from the ice cream... it was bad ice cream to say the least.

Yelp
What a cool place to take little ones to learn all about a dairy factory! Both of my little guys loved the tour and especially loved the ice cream at the end. It's so interesting to see the history of Anderson Dairy and how long they've been in Las Vegas (since 1907!) this is really nice that they do tours so you can learn all about how dairy farms and factories work. My kids already want to go back!

Yelp
Its ok. I think the group was too big or just not set up to be a "tour" maybe the guid was new? She had no personal connection or interest in having fun and making kids excited. The room most of the tour is held in was very clean and cute. The video had some bad taste and bullied jokes that were a bit rude and could simply be said differently. If this is for kids we want to teach acceptance right? So we should knock or bash any era or person. The ice cream was amazing (duh we knew that tho!) but maybe when showing the factory is all about milk maybe do milk as they watch the show? The penguins and fog was ment to be neat just depends on the age of the kid (I think 3-4th graders it's perfect for) any younger they all seemed scared. I would recommend it for a troop activity or school but as a family tour or tourist activity its a no.

Yelp
worst mint n chip ( mint chocolate chunk) ever!! literally no. chocolate chips at all !! mixed it up thinking maybe something at bottom ?? nooe nothing i think there was a total of maybe 5 chips!! extremely disappointed

Yelp
Came here today for a field trip with my son's kindergarten class. Very educational and fun. It was neat to see old Vegas in the early 1900s before it was built up. The kids even had a chance to sample their delicious ice cream.

Yelp
I hate that they switched to bottles. Bottles carry bad smell and changes taste. Anderson still my favorite to drink at home but I'd buy a carton from store by work everyday. They losing my $. 6 stars before plastic bottles, only 3 now

Yelp
Andersons Quality control sucks. I buy their chocolate milk at Walmart at the 5600 block of Craig rd I have lost count of how many times I have returned chocolate milk right out of the store long before the expiration that was spoiled I had to return. A month or so ago the milk tasted like it had some bad tasting chemical which I returned. I again bought milk that tastes like it has some real bad tasting chemical mixed in, the expiration date in June 9th. Has any one else had this problem? Jim Cox @ jnscox@cox.net

Yelp
At Albertsons looking for my favorite flavor "pistachios " saw Anderson brand. This is not pistachios its almonds colored pistachios. Awful taste. Disrespect to pistachios flavor lovers. Mgmt needs to find old Thrifty brand pistachios flavor recipe.

Yelp
I live 35 miles out of Vegas. Awhile back I bought a 1.75 quart tub of vanilla ice cream and a 1.75 quart tub of chocolate ice cream from the local grocery store. I've been purchasing products from Anderson Dairy for 25 or more years, and have always been pleased with their products. But this time our whole household agreed the vanilla had no flavor. I called Anderson Dairy then, and they were very nice, saying I would get a call from a truck driver next day. Sure enough, "Dave" called. He arranged to bring me replacement ice cream the next day. Sure enough, Dave showed up at my home, 35 miles outside of Las Vegas!--and he gave me two 1.75 quart vanilla, and one 1.75 quart chocolate at no charge to me!! That is above and beyond, and I will always look for Anderson Dairy Products in the marketplace from now on.

Yelp
Educational trip for all of us. Really great to see such a long standing company that services Las Vegas residents. The tour was really cute and informative and concise. One hour tour was perfect. Got to see the facilities and had free ice cream at the end. Highly suggest this tour for families who have children from 6-10 years old. Perfect for this age group

Yelp
Please go north and learn how to make cottage cheese. Your product is more like cottage 'soup'. Drippy, sloppy, excessively wet. Cottage cheese should sit on a spoon like ricotta--firm. At least there's some consistency-- I'm always disappointed when I open the container and see that sloppy soup

Christine L.

Yelp
This tour rocks, and it's FREE! Make sure and call ahead and book a time. The tour was quick, less then an hour with a video about the history and a look through glass windows of some of their packing rooms and freezer room. Every single staff member was inredibly nice and the ice cream is awesome!!! We went to the store that night and bought some...so good!!!

Pete B.

Yelp
I live in Pahrump. Sure would be nice if delivery guy would service us properly. I love their ROCKY ROAD, cannot seem to get the complacent driver to inventory and deliver any kind of assortment !! WHAT A SHAME

Therese E.

Yelp
So disappointing. I've been drinking and enjoying your Eggnog for 50 years. It is by far the best!! This year though it is really thin. The flavor is there but it taste like flavored milk. Please go back to the original recipe unless your selling a substandard product to stores at a discounted price. If that's the case then Smiths where we bought it will no longer be our choice for our groceries!

Yelp
We visited Anderson Dairy with my little ones and they absolutely loved it ! We especially loved the tour guide Leah she was amazing and extremely nice and patient with all the kids. She showed the kids the factory and told them important facts and history about Anderson Dairy and she answered the their questions even the silly ones. At the end she even served the kids delicious ice cream. We also loved the tree house room and Calcie the cow and the video they put together very educational. I definitely recommend Andersona Dairy tour and would return again. They have a great staff and very family friendly!

Yelp
This review is specific to the Barnyard Buddies tour. A friend arranged for a group of us to take about a twenty kids and parents on a tour recently and it was a huge hit. Now, they do give away free ice cream at the end so I'm sure that is the reason some people like the tour but my kids loved the main room they used for the tour that was decorated in a farm theme with large scale animated puppets. The kids also like going through the facility and seeing the production lines. Anderson does lots of little "extras" to make the tour cute. As an adult and a Vegas transplant I really enjoyed the historical aspect of the tour. They facility has lots of old photographs explaining Anderson history and various locations in the Valley and then the video shown at the end goes more into the history. The video was a little bit long for my 2 & 4 year old but not bad. The entire "tour" which included two stops in the main barnyard room and enjoying our ice cream was about 45 minutes so a good length for little kids. We also had teens with us and they enjoyed it as well. It's free and definitely worth calling to reserve a spot! The website is http://www.andersondairy.com/barnyardtour.php To schedule call the Tour Host, 702-642-7507, extension 264.

Yelp
This review is for Anderson Dairy's "Barnyard Buddies Tour", which is a free and fun tour for kids of all ages! They have a room with animated puppets who tell the story about the dairy, the tour guides walk you down the windowed-hallway, where you can see parts of the plant and the packaging of milk. The best part of the tour is the end, where you get free ice cream! Oh, and the moving/talking puppets and lighting are entertaining, too! This is a great place to take a group of kids!

Yelp
I always like to stay loyal to companies that I know have a local connection however, if you're a coffee drinker who likes frothy half & half with their coffee then you won't want to buy Anderson's half & half. Might as well call it low fat half & half. It's the fat level that gives your creameries, even from the nutty source, a nice frothy foam to make a heart in. Yuck. I'll drink it black thank you.

Yelp
This is a wonderful tour for the family with kids. We had a great time and our host Christina was very nice, kind, knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. It exceeded our expectations. We loved the fact that the kids were able to learn about the history of Anderson Dairy along with the history of the city of La's Vegas. They also learned about how milk are being processed, pasteurized, and packaged. Of course, my kids loved to see the ice cream making and the packaging. They also learned about quality control. Staffs were very friendly and greeted our kids as they tour the facility. I can see that this tour is a way of the company to give back something to the La's Vegas community rather than just using it as an advertisement purpose. This company is very considered. Kids who have peanut or dairy allergy could notify their host in advance and get a treat of popsicle instead of their cool ice cream. Our trip to this place was worthy and the free ice cream was a nice treat to our kids at the end of the tour. My kids loved our host and the animated puppets. And you don't have to had a big group to schedule a tour.

Jay J.

Yelp
Excellent company and docent- solid five stars. The film at the free tour explored how the factory evolved throughout history. I liked learning about it a lot. The kids enjoyed free ice cream afterwards. Minus 2 stars for the very rude receptionist in the front desk. She is an African American lady who gave us eye rolling looks for asking for water or ask to use the bathroom while waiting for the tour to start. I have never met a receptionist who is as rude as her. With this kind of attitude, she should be fired. It is sad that her behavior tarnished my experience at the tour.

Kelly P.

Yelp
I recently bought some eggnog and it just didn't taste right! So I wrote an email to the company letting them know about their product. Their response was fast! I received a phone call this morning from a gentleman, who for the life of me- I can't remember his name, letting me know that he was going to deliver new eggnog to my house! He was here within the hour of the phone call. Thanks to Anderson Dairy for their customer service:)

Jessica M.

Yelp
Yeah, the tour might be great, but the product is horrible. Bought a gallon of the full fat milk 3 days ago, it's supposed to expire 7 days from now, and it's going BAD! I've only used 2 cups! I hate when a substandard company costs me money.

Terrence C.

Yelp
Same problem here. Our milk goes bad a entire week before the expiration date. Somebodies obviously dating the milk wrong on purpose. I never had this problem before I started buying Anderson Dairy!
