Seattle Chicken Chain Mt. Joy Wants to Conquer the World, Then Save It | Eater Seattle

"Based in Ellensburg, Anderson Hay is Mark Anderson’s farm where he raises grass-fed beef with regenerative methods and will begin raising and processing chickens for Mt. Joy next year; Anderson says he can process tens of thousands of birds if needed and that he’s "very, very aligned" with Robbie Cape’s vision." - Harry Cheadle

I had gotten 3 wraps of timothy hay from my local feed store and am severely disappointed. 2 of the wraps are full of horsetail and the 3rd is full of weeds. I’m finding what looks like alfalfa and orchard grass hay in the wraps of timothy. The hay is over dried, dusty and looks like it’s what was left over when baling. With the cost of these wraps, I do expect a better quality. I had always had good luck with Anderson hay but at the moment I cannot recommend this hay. I understand that things get missed and hope that the quality can go back to what it originally was.

Place is easy to find about 2 miles from the flying j . The people are very friendly . First check in where the little mobile home is then they Will get your weight you will see the scale nearby . After you are loaded you can weigh axle by axle your self they print out a total weight. There scale is pretty accurate. They were fairly quick considering all the bad weather .

Picked up from here today. (5/15/23) Very friendly people from the check in lady to the loaders. Didn't take long to load but had to adjust weight. In and out in around 2 hours.

This place was challenging, great office staff, but the guys out were I got my trailer loaded seemed to be training a newer worker so they ran me out of hours and would not let me sit anywhere on the property. Great attitudes, that's trucking.

Long time to get loaded in a dry van. Unloading flatbeds in no time. I saw 10 flatbeds get unloaded while i sat at the dock. Ridiculous.

Anderson Hay and Grain allowed us to use their property for our antique engine and tractor show. And for that I say Thank You!

Yelp
Not a consumer of Anderson as it's primary business is to export hay. I will comment however on it's constant contribution to the community. They go out of there way to have a first rate looking facility. Sharp. Otherwise I see them giving back to Ellensburg in so many ways. From baseball team sponsors to Rodeo. Thanks Anderson.

Yelp
Anderson Hay & Grain is not as "upright" a company as they would like the public to believe. They only like reviews that make them look good. This post will be taken down as soon as it is seen. But, until then, it is my opinion that Anderson Hay & Grain is not a good business neighbor.
