The 38 Best Restaurants in Dublin, Ireland | Eater

"Andhra Bhavan brings a bold, canteen-style taste of southern India to Dublin 1 at unbeatable prices. The gunpowder dosa is a must; it’s crisp, golden, and packing a hit of spice, served with coconut, peanut, and ginger chutneys. Thalis offer the full spectrum of textures and flavors: creamy dal, fiery lamb curry, crisp fried cabbage, and mellow paneer that rounds it all out. Start with mirchi bajji (fried green chiles dusted with peanuts) or pani puri for a tangy crunch. It’s the kind of place you’ll return to again and again. Best for: A thali with your mates." - Corinna Hardgrave

Had a fantastic dining experience at Andhra Bhavan! The food was absolutely excellent—bursting with authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. The service was lightning fast, which made everything smooth and hassle-free. The Indian-themed decor added a vibrant and cultural touch to the atmosphere, making the place feel both cozy and unique. The staff were super sweet and attentive, making us feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we walked in. Must-try dishes: The Chicken Biryani was rich and aromatic, and the Chicken Lollipops were crispy, flavorful, and addictive! Overall: A very happy customer here. 100% recommended if you’re in Dublin and craving quality Indian food with great service.

Comfort food heaven — highly recommend! Andhra Bhavan is a busy spot, and for good reason — the food is absolutely delicious. The aroma hits you the moment you walk in, and it instantly feels like home. Every dish we tried was flavorful and comforting — just what you’d hope for from authentic Indian cuisine. It’s definitely a popular place, so I’d recommend booking ahead, especially on weekends. Despite the rush, the service was smooth. A special mention to the gentleman at the entrance — warm, welcoming, and very polite, which set the tone for a great meal. This will definitely be my go-to place for comfort Indian food in the city. Can’t wait to return!

Soul-satisfying meal! The food here feels truly authentic and not whitewashed like in many other restaurants. Every dish bursts with rich, traditional flavors. The ambience is pleasant, and the service is excellent — the staff are incredibly friendly, humble, and polite. If you're looking for genuine Indian food in Dublin, this is the place to go. Highly recommend booking in advance, as it can get quite busy.

As Filipinos who worked in the Middle East, this is by far one of the closest taste we tried to the Southern Indian cuisine that we loved. We ordered Chicken Chilly and Dum Biryani Chicken which is really tasty and spicy, which made us remind the ones in Qatar. I've also ordered masala dosa which I find it good, but not the best compared to the other ones that I've tried here. The filling was a tad bit bland (i guess i lacked mustard seed or curry leaves and spices) as of my liking and the filling was quite small. We also ordered the Crispy corn which was new to us and we love how crispy it was and the spices which I guess was masala, compliments it. Sitting was comfortable although spaces in between tables are too narrow which is a bit of a problem if youre 'big'.Servers were busy during the time of our visit (friday 1700-1800) but surely the accomodated us (better to call them for the reservation). Thanks Raksha. Would surely love to come back and try their other cuisines. Than

Had an absolutely delightful time at Andhra Bhavan! We kicked things off with some juicy, perfectly spiced chicken wings that set the tone for a flavour-packed meal. The non-veg thali was a true feast – every item bursting with authentic South Indian spices, and the dum biryani was rich, aromatic, and oh-so-satisfying. I sipped on a virgin mojito which was refreshing, though nothing extraordinary – but honestly, the food stole the show! The ambience was warm, vibrant, and full of life, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. A big shoutout to Swopnil, whose friendly and attentive service added a personal touch – he really made us feel welcome. If I had to suggest one little improvement, it would be to serve the main course after the starters are done, just to keep things flowing better. But all in all, it was a joyful, flavourful experience I’d happily go back for!

✨ Best Indian Food Outside India – Andhra Bhavan, A Culinary Gem! 🇮🇳 If you're craving authentic Indian flavors that take you straight back home, look no further than Andhra Bhavan. Hands down, this has been the best Indian meal I’ve had outside of India — and I’ve traveled quite a bit! We tried both the Andhra Special Thali and the Vegetarian Thali, and let’s just say: the "before and after" pictures of our plates tell the full story — completely wiped clean! 🌶️ Highlights from the Andhra Special Thali: The eggplant curry was smoky, rich, and absolutely divine. Kurkuren tindoras (crispy ivy gourd) – crunchy, spiced to perfection, addictive! Chicken curry – flavorful with just the right amount of heat. Mutton curry – tender, deeply spiced, and a clear favorite. Spicy chicken starter – bold, aromatic, and oh-so-good. Classic sides like sambar, rasam, daal, and bagara rice brought the whole experience together beautifully. Every dish on the thali had its own distinct flavor and character — nothing felt repetitive or bland. And the best part? We ended this incredible feast on a sweet note with soft, syrupy gulab jamun and warm gajar ka halwa. 🍽️ Portion Tips: The Andhra Special Thali is generously sized — perfect for 3 adults or 2 adults + 2 kids. The Veg Thali is ideal for 2 adults. 🙏 Service Shoutout: We were served by Prachi, who was super sweet, attentive, and a fantastic host. She made the whole experience even more memorable with her warm hospitality and friendly demeanor. Thank you, Prachi! This was not just a meal — it was an experience. If you ever find yourself near an Andhra Bhavan, do yourself a favor and go. Come hungry, leave blissfully full. ❤️
