cibo delizioso con ottimo servizio, An old bank converted to a beautiful restaurant with high ceilings and a spacious dining area. You can't ask for or expect more, excellent food, a well trained staff and a nice ambiance . If you have a large party, ask for the vault room. It's a little on the $$$, but worth it.

I ordered the Fettuccine Alla Adriatica. It was really good. The dish was full of rock shrimp and perfectly cooked scallops. The sun dried tomatoes added a light sweet & fruity flavor to the dish. I took my food to go, however the atmosphere was nice and quiet. It seems like a wonderful place to have a intimate dinner with your spouse or a small group dinner with friends. I'm looking forward to going back and trying other dishes. Thank you chef.

As someone who regularly scouts standout venues for executive dinners and team celebrations, I’m always on the lookout for places that strike the right balance of quality, atmosphere, and service. Andiamo In Banca delivers on all fronts. The cuisine is exceptional, authentic Italian made with fresh, seasonal ingredients, and the wine list is one of the strongest in South San Francisco. The setting feels elevated yet inviting, and the service is consistently top-tier. It’s already on my shortlist for upcoming team engagements such as our annual Holiday party, a truly dependable spot for both professional and personal occasions!

Fantastic experience at Andiamo In Banca! Best Italian cuisine with a nostalgic flair! I ordered the calamari Fritter deep fried calamari served with spicy tomato sauce, Linguine with clams linguine pasta with fresh manila clams in a light spicy garlic white wine sauce and House cured swordfish served with caper dressing and for the final cuisine grilled baby rack of lamb, topped with garlic rosemary and balsamic vinaigrette. Now that's Amore! Romantic atmosphere and good selection of wine and dessert. Highly recommend visiting! Buono appetit!💖💖💖💖🌹🌹🌹🌹🌺🌺🌺🌺

I have a modest appetite and rarely devour everything on my plate. I take home many a doggy bag, though:-) This restaurant gets my first ever "Clean Plate" award. Though there have been times I finished everything on my plate, this time I consider noteworthy! Congratulations, Adiamo In Banca, for inspiring a new standard in my reviews... THE CLEAN PLATE AWARD. Those who follow will know I consider those who receive it, top notch in every respect.

Been passing by this restaurant for years until one day I found out they serve spaghetti meatballs. Did not need a reservation on a Friday 6pm dinner, just walked in. Plenty of seating, was entertained by the server right away. Spaghetti Meatball cravings satisfied, I must say! The Linguine Pesto is on the creamy side, I was expecting it to be more on the greens side than cream but it is very rich and good. Opt for extra chicken and sub Spaghetti instead of Linguine. The Tiramisu, perfect! This is my new Spag Meatball spot!

Yelp
My friends and I enjoyed a quiet Thursday night dinner at Andiamo in Banca, and everything was wonderful. We started with the Brussels sprout and burrata appetizers -- both were really good, and the portions were generous enough to share. For dinner, all of our dishes looked amazing. The freshly made pizza had a light, fluffy crust and was big enough for three people. The filet mignon special looked tender and beautifully plated, and my pappardelle pasta with prawns was delicious -- you can really taste the freshness of the pasta and ingredients. We finished with dessert -- the lava cake and crème brûlée were the perfect ending to a great meal. We were visiting from out of town, and I'd absolutely recommend this spot to anyone staying near the South San Francisco area or flying out of SFO. Definitely worth the short drive!

Yelp
Absolutely loved the space and the atmosphere! I appreciated how the restaurant preserved much of the historic architecture of the former bank. The high ceilings and windows filled the space with a lot of natural light, providing such a bright and colorful ambiance. Service was attentive and the food was just as impressive! The basil-infused olive oil with the complimentary bread was a delicious start. We ordered the following dishes and they were all a hit: - Brussel Sprouts with Pancetta - Grilled Polenta - Pappardelle Alla Bolognese - Lamb Special - Tiramisu The pasta had a soft, chewy texture with a rich tomato meat sauce and the lamb was delicate and perfectly cooked. The standout for me was the polenta: so buttery, creamy, and paired amazingly with the mushrooms. As with most great Italian food, it was on the pricier side (~$65 per person), but worth it for the high quality food and overall experience. A wonderful option for a romantic date night!

Yelp
Date: Sunday, June 22nd, 2025 Time: 4:30pm Party of: 4 Meal: Birthday Dinner Reservation Made: via OpenTable the same day *Cesare ($11.95) *Calamari Fritti ($17.95) *Octopus ($18.95) *Burrata Special ($18.95) - was listed as $16.95 *Diavola ($22.95) *Fettuccine Alla Adriatica ($28.95) *Pork Chop ($30.95) *New York Steak ($42.95) *Rack of Lamb ($44.95) *Tiramisu ($11.95) *Corkage ($20) x2 For my mom's bday dinner, she picked Andiamo In Banca. I basically looked up what restos had rezzies avail online and sent my mom a list. She liked this one. It's not hard getting a reservation here. Especially for a senior citizen timed dinner like ours. So you don't have to plan ahead much. Overall the food here is pretty good. It's kinda mom and pop fine dining. The octopus was tender with a nice chew. I appreciated the lamb since I haven't had lamb in quite a while. (The hubby does not like lamb, so I never order it. Luckily my parents do!) The complimentary bread is actually delish here. Great for sopping up sauces. I'd avoid the caesar since the lettuce was old. They were very sweet and gave my mom a complimentary ice cream dessert for her bday. So why the three stars since we had a good time? A lot of inconsistencies with the bill and prices. When we first sat down, I had asked what the corkage was. They said $25. I had called ahead and they told me $20, but I mentioned to my fam that maybe it just changed. Turns out it had and our server overheard me saying this, so they honored the phone price. When the check came, my mom noticed some items were more than the menu price - calamari ($20.95), cesare ($15.95). We mentioned this and they went back to adjust the bill. Took off the cappuccino ($4.50), but didn't price adjust anything else. The third bill was adjusted incorrectly for the cesare ($16.95). The fourth bill they just credited $5 on the subtotal instead of adjusting the price of the caesar. In all the back and forth with the price checking, we didn't realize the price of the burrata caprese we ordered was wrong. Idk if they were just doing price increases and I got an old menu, but good thing I take pictures of everything cuz at one point they did ask me where I saw these prices. Anyways, this was all too much after two bottles of wine. Kinda killed the celebratory mood and felt petty, but hey, there's no reason to pay more than you need to. A fun place for a somewhat special occasion. I just wished we didn't feel like we were haggling when it came to the bill. REVIEW #3791

Yelp
This is a very unique restaurant, and it is clear they have the ambition to become a Michelin-starred establishment. Unfortunately, the arrangement of the tables and chairs does not quite meet Michelin standards. In terms of service, I would give them very high marks. The servers paid close attention to details when introducing the dishes, pouring water, and serving wine. This restaurant used to be a bank, and one of the private dining rooms was directly converted from the original vault, which adds a distinctive character. As for the food, the calamari appetizer was quite good. It included not just squid but also some vegetables. The main course, lamb chops, was excellent. The meat was tender and cooked perfectly. I ordered two pasta dishes. The Pappardelle Bolognese had a texture similar to lasagna, and the rich beef flavor was outstanding. The other dish, Fettuccine Alla Adriatica, came with a thick and flavorful crab-based seafood sauce. The scallops, shrimp, and red prawns were all well balanced. I asked them to substitute the pasta with rigatoni. As for the wine and dessert, I would not particularly recommend them. The wines I ordered, The Linden and The Don, were rather plain compared to the food. The cheesecake was too creamy, which took away from the distinctive texture of a classic cheesecake. Their handmade tiramisu could be improved with a touch of liqueur. This restaurant does not accept Apple Pay, so be sure to bring a credit card. Parking in the area is also inconvenient, as only metered street parking is available. Overall, I would still recommend this place for its appetizers and main courses. The Linden and The Don;甜品的起司蛋糕奶油太過於綿密,導致失去了起司蛋糕的特色,他們的手工提拉米蘇如果再加上一點酒類會更好。另外這家店不收Apple Pay,一定要記得帶信用卡。周圍的停車位不好停,全都是路邊的收費的停車位。總體來講,我還挺推薦這家店的前菜和主食。

Yelp
My husband and I have been here a couple times by now since it's down the street from our apartment. Whenever we come here we've enjoyed what we have eaten and the restaurant. We love how the restaurant has high ceilings with great lights. It's such a nice restaurant that it pulls you in. We've been given free bread with really good olive oil dip that we've always ordered more bread while we wait for our food to arrive. All the pasta we've tried has been so good and we've brought a few family members to the restaurant. They have also enjoyed the food we have eaten here. Definitely we will be coming here often before we have to move out of our spot!

Yelp
Celebrated my birthday here. Didn't make reservations because it's never full but when we arrived, it was a full house! A lot of business dinner parties that evening and we got the last open table. Their pasta never fails. Always perfect. My favorite Rigatoni Alla Carcerata, although, it came with slices of Italian sausage instead of their usual ground sausage. Loved the appetizers of calamari and roasted Brussels sprouts. My birthday surprise was a delicious chocolate mouse with a hard chocolate on top. Everyone had a fabulous dinner. Great attentive service as always. Love this place.

Yelp
Dude, I wish I came here earlier because I believe I have found my new favorite italain restaurant. Move aside bella trattoria (my previous go-to italian restaurant) and hello andiamo in banca! It is so beautiful and has romantic vibes, with dim-ish lighting. Minestrone: this was their soup and the day and it was... so good. I love a minestrone and will grab it whenever and where ever I can and I haven't had a good minestrone in a minute. Not here! I shared a soup with my father (who's birthday it was) so I only grabbed three bites but I really should've ordered my own as in writing this review I am salivating. Lots of veggies (no noodles) but super delicious and flavorful for a minestrone. Filet Mignon: this was another special they had and it was GOOD. I normally do not like a filet mignon (I'll eat it - sure) but the meat was so tender. I do not know if they used a sauce or what they did to this piece of meat but... I gotta sneak into their kitchen and find out. Rigatoni alla vodka: I LOVE a rigatoni vodka and I have been on a mission to try as many as I can to see if I can make it better (which - when it comes to some restaurants - I can) or if the restaurant can make it better. Spoiler alert: I lost the battle this time. It was so yummy and I - I gotta sneak back into the kitchen and just watch them. Rigatoni alla Carerata: I didn't order this but I wish I did! It is so flavorful and has the most beautiful veggies: onions, bell peppers, and MORE! AH I need it NOW.

Yelp
This place used to be a bank, and you can still see a lot of the features left inside. We had group lunch here on a weekday two years in a row during holiday season. They placed us in the "vault" last time and a table out near the front this time. The service was great last time we were here but just okay this year. Probably because they were really busy during holiday season. It took a while for food to come. We ordered a few appetizers to share including the calamari and bruschetta. Appetizers were good, calamari was not super crispy if that's the kind you like. I got linguini frutti di mare, there were different kind of seafood cooked in tomato sauce. The portion was smaller for lunch. I like the sauce, it wasn't too salty. Overall pasta was okay, nothing stood out. Seafood didn't taste super fresh this time around.

Yelp
We love this place! Great spot for a family meal, date night, or large group. The service is really friendly, attentive, and efficient plus accommodating. There are a number of gluten free options and they take the time to review what they have that's gluten free for the night. They have nightly specials and sometimes their Crab Cakes are gluten free. My son enjoys their pizzas (not gluten free) and I like their pasta options with gluten free pasta. Starting the evening, we always go with the Caprese Salad and Octopus. The Octopus is tender and prepared very well. It's a fan favorite. My husband likes their Chicken Parm (not gluten free) a lot but he usually goes with a special on the menu.

Yelp
The family and I visited this restaurant over the weekend. Great customer service and delicious food. I had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and my wife had the pesto. Definitely recommended.

Yelp
What a nice spot located in an old bank. The staff was incredibly friendly and you can customize your order in different ways. My brother wanted a spicy pasta and they made one specially for him. I wanted a different meat in my pasta and they let me substitute without problem. Everything was really good and I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Atmos is fantastic. Our server was attentive and was there when needed and never seemed intrusive. The cocktails were divine. The Linden is especially good. The house made bread is superb; fresh, hot, soft center, and a crust. Just yummy. The meatball appetizer was a ten out of ten. The linguine pesto was excellent and while it did say "cream sauce" we would have liked to see a more true pesto and slightly less cream. The paparadelle was good, not great. Seemed lack a bit of "oomph" for a lack of a better descriptor. The cream brûlée was good, not great. It was not served in a traditional low-sided dish and when they flamed the sugar the dish got hit which melted the contents so it was not as firm as it should be. The panna cottta, however, was world class. One of the best we've had. A very nice place that could be a stellar place with a few tweaks.

Yelp
Yall are sleeping on the $19.95 3-course lunch special! This place is open at 11am on some weekdays and the special comes with soup or salad, an entree, and a gelato or chocolate mousse. The place is spacious and clean, service is quick. Table bread is warm and yummy. Such a great value for lunch - support this local business!!

A Ying T.

Yelp
Excellent food ! Great price too particularly with their Tue - Fri 3-course lunch menu - what a steal indeed !l The Squid Ink Pasta with Seafood is outstanding: the fish and prawns are perfectly cooked, clearly timed with precision and heat control. The seafood sauce is deeply flavorful, infused with remarkable depth. Truly marvellous. Gorgeous interior: high ceiling, cheerful bright natural light, converted from a former bank including the vault. Meter parking is abundant, if one comes before the peak hours. We will be back, definitely.

Yelp
A solid Italian restaurant in downtown South City. My family will go here when there's an occasion, because it is pricier but fairly standard for Italian food ($20-$30 for pasta). All the food is pretty good. We've tried their veal marsala, seafood linguine, meatballs, calamari, etc. It's probably the best Italian restaurant in South City. The location is also unique because it use to be a bank and they have a private room towards the back of the restaurant where they kept the vault door. If you're looking for good Italian food in SSF or a nicer restaurant on Grand then this could be a good spot.

Yelp
Went for Easter, party of 3 for an early dinner. It was very nice. Interesting cool old building, might have been a bank way back when. Nice lighting inside. Brussels sprouts were very yummy. We got paperdelle Bolognese and pizza diavola. Both were delicious.

Yelp
Inconsistent food. Standard American Italian fair. Cool setting in a former bank. Vault room can be reserved for large groups. Adequate service could use some improvement. -- I've been to Andiamo many times, mostly for company group lunches. The menu doesn't change much. On good days, the food is mediocre. On bad days, it sinks below Olive Garden level. Unfortunately, I've seen more bad days than good ones. The vegetables in the dishes usually consist of broccoli florets and carrots that suspiciously look precut from restaurant supply conglomerates. The New York steak, though cooked to the requested temperature, is one of those tenderized steaks with a grainy texture. Linguine Frutti di mare sometimes comes with that distinct odor from not-so-fresh mussels. The toasted bread for bruschetta can be severely burnt sometimes. I can't tell whether they are aiming for al dente for their pasta or not because the doneness is different every time. They do offer cheese for your pasta, but it's likely the parmesan kind. I do believe the staff tries, but the service can be uneven. Long wait times, wrong orders, and plates being taken before diners are done could happen. Personally, I would not go to Andiamo in Banca if I crave Italian food.

Maya K.

Yelp
We had friends coming in from out of state staying near the airport so we googled a place close by to them and this was one of the results. The food was so good. The service was fantastic. We asked for two checks. Which was accommodated with no fuss. Our friends ordered one dessert but received the wrong one and they fixed it immediately. Service and ambiance was great. My only suggestion would be for one or two more vegetarian options. We plan on returning with my kids who eat meat. I think they will love it.

Yelp
Watered down expensive drinks The bartender should be in the hall of shame I've had many Aperol spritz all over the world and also make my own. I just wanted to enjoy a drink this evening and got nothing close I'm sorry I left a tip

Yelp
We ordered online takeout from this restaurant on a weekend night. Their online timer said the food would be ready around 20 minutes after the order was placed. We proceeded to rush to the restaurant to get the food, only to be met with an additional 30 minute wait. Meanwhile- there was no parking and the car was double parked. Needless to say- less than ideal. In the 30 minutes we had to stand there doing nothing... we noticed the restaurant was nice, but looked very understaffed. The food was ok. Yet, considering the price, and the extra long wait, it did not leave us wanting to return for more.

Yelp
It doesn't look like much from the outside (well, it looks like a bank), but this restaurant has a lot to offer. It was easy to make a reservation online for dinner on a Sunday evening, but unnecessary as the place was pretty empty when we arrived. The setting was elegant with draping curtains along the windows and clean white tablecloths in the spacious dining area, as well as a small bar with a TV at the corner and a private dining room inside the vault room in the back of the restaurant. Service was prompt and professional... of course we were one of the few people there, so I'd expect nothing less. Still, I appreciate their effort into making sure we had everything we needed during our visit. Only one problem. There were too many delectable items to choose from on the menu, both food and drinks! We ended up getting the Diavola pizza (spicy sausage and mushroom) which was about 12 inches in diameter, Brussel Sprouts with Pancetta, a super tasty appetizer, some of the best I've ever had, and the Arugula Salad, a large serving filled with fresh and delicious greens and cherry tomatoes. That pizza was amazing, every single ingredient, generous toppings and cheese, and fyi, the "spicy sausage" was not spicy at all... but that didn't take away from how delightful and perfect the pizza was. For drinks, we tried The Linden, Lemon Drop, Last Word, and Rye Rye, and each of the cocktails were full of flavor and strong in alcohol, it's hard to pick a fave. Great experience overall.

Yelp
Good italian good and very friendly staff. If you eat inside the vault, then there will no phone signal.

Yelp
This is one the gems of SSF. The service is always so welcoming and attentive. They have a great wine list and the food is always fresh and served hot. We ordered the calamari, spinach gnocchi and the ravioli with ricotta everything was spectacular. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Really loved our lunch. The squid ink seafood pasta was delicious. Great lunch specials. Very reasonable wine. Will definitely return

Yelp
Made reservations for a weekday business lunch through OpenTable. Check in was easy and table was ready when we arrived. Food - 5/5 We had ordered the bruschetta and calamari appetizers to share and both were great. Everyone loved both apps. 5/5 for both Complimentary bread with olive oil and vinegar was also served. For entree, I ordered the pappardelle bolognese. The pasta was very good but I thought that the sauce was a bit too thin and didn't cling to the noodles like I liked. The sauce had a lot of fresh tomato chunks but not much meat. 4/5 I'd try the penne with tomato cream sauce (vodka sauce) or the rigatoni alla carcerata as my coworkers gave those high ratings. All the dishes were served piping hot with table side se of Parmesan cheese when requested. For dessert, I tried both the tiramisu and panna cotta. The tiramisu had great flavor and wasn't very heavy. The panna cotta had good tartness from the mango and strawberry flavors. 5/5 for both Servers were friendly and attentive. I'm planning to return soon to try other dishes and recommend this for anyone in the SSF area looking for good Italian food or a piping hot bowl of pasta/noodles.

Yelp
We had a discount coupon so wanted to try out this place. Seriously, you wouldn't even know about this restaurant if they didn't make a point of promoting it. So I guess it worked. Nice place, set inside a former bank. They old bank vault is in use as a private dining room. They had complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic. Great bread. The calamari and burrata appetizers were good. Nice chutney with the burrata. The arugula salad was great, nicely dressed and cheesed. My salmon piccata was done perfectly. Very yummy. My chocolate mousse dessert was good. My dining companions seemed pleased with their meals as well. The prawns with fried ravioli entree was a hit. Nice julienned vegetables there. The only thing I would say that's a ding is the prices, but then, everything costs more now. I think the appetizers and entrees were too expensive.

Yelp
My daughter tried Andiamo In Banca a few weeks back with her aunt and kept raving about it! Then she started bugging me about revisiting and having the carpaccio again. So I broke down and brought her when my schedule was free. I've never been inside, but have driven by. It's spacious as it once was a bank. It's a table cloth and candlelight kind of restaurant. Perfect for a romantic meal with loved ones! I can see why my daughter wanted to come back. We started off with the carpaccio. For our entrees, we ordered a penne pasta with salmon with vodka sauce and a Pizza Bianca con Prosciutto di Parma. Everything was tasty and fresh. Though I would have liked a crispier pizza crust. It was more soft than crisp yet it wasn't soggy. Still, it was pretty good. I had a bite of the penne since it was my daughter's dish. You can taste a hint of vodka in the creamy tomato sauce. The salmon was soft and just melted away! It was cooked perfectly! And for dessert, we shared a creme brûlée. Lovely, torched sugar for a caramelized crackle top and a rich and creamy custard to sweeten the last of our meal. So very satisfying! Can't wait to bring others to this neighborhood gem!

Mr P.

Yelp
Friendly staff, quality food, good size portions is what will keep me coming back. Situated in an old bank, hence the name, you won't feel like you are being robbed though. A secret in South City!

Yelp
We started with the Grey Goose Martini and Calamari Frutti. The martini was horrible too much vermouth. The price was this horrible drink was $17. Waste of money. The Calamari Frutti was very good. For the entree we had Linguine Frutti Di Mare. Beautiful presentation, but a bit too salty for our taste buds. The ambiance was very nice. Although our table was a bit small for the entrees. The service was lacking. No refills on ice tea, but they did fill out the water. The food servers did not speak English well, the waiters were the ones who spoke English. We think Ristorante Buon Gusto has better service and food. This restaurant has better ambiance. It was a okay experience.

C S.

Yelp
The food is great and Baris is the best person there! He'a so nice, pleasant, helpful and always smiling!

Yelp
I have always been curious about Andiamo and it's been on my list for quite sometime, so it was perfect that we didn't feel like cooking & wanted to go out for dinner. I didn't see that it was recommended to make reservations on Yelp, luckily my bf did and made reservations for us. When we walked in we were warmly welcomed & seated almost right away. The server took the time to ask how our day was & we chatted for a bit. We asked if it was actually necessary to make a reservation and he mentioned that lately it's been a little slow but most of the time they're pretty busy so would recommend making reservations. Our server gave us a few minutes to look over the menu and then came and told us what the chef's specials for the day were. I'm not gonna lie, we were both quite intrigued by the items he mentioned so we ordered the specials of the day. I ordered the ribeye steak with mushroom risotto and a li think the ribeye steak had some sort of pork glaze? I can't quite remember. My bf went with the swordfish served with mussels and mashed potatoes. The ribeye steak was cooked perfectly, medium rare and had tons of flavor especially with the glaze over it. Mushroom risotto had plenty of mushrooms & some bell peppers which I thought was an interesting touch. The swordfish wasn't over cooked or dry, and the mussels were nice and juicy, all served on top of some very creamy mashed potatoes. I also really enjoyed just sitting there and taking in the restaurant itself as I believe it was converted from a bank to a restaurant. Super cool to see the vault in the back! I think it's probably used for bigger parties? Overall really enjoyed out experience here. Food was delicious, and the servers were attentive. Would definitely come back again!

Yelp
Awesome and very underrated place in South City. A lot of solid vegetarian options and great service. After Bertolucci's closed I was looking for another place with awesome cocktails and food, and this is my top pick in SSF. Plus the high ceiling ambiance is pretty cool.

Yelp
We came here on Friday night, and were able to get seated even though we didn't have reservations at 8 pm. This restaurant is located inside of a bank, and there is even a private dining room that is located inside of the safe. Super cool, it would be fun to go back and dine in there. We were lucky to get seated because they were really busy, they also seem a little understaffed, only a few people working and a few people in the kitchen. We ordered a calamari, wagyu meatballs, the pork chop special ( stuffed with ham and cheese ), and the clam linguini. The bread was served warm with some delicious vinaigrette and really tasty olive oil. The calamari is really light and fresh. The wagyu meatballs were a pretty small portion for the price, 3 ping - pong sized meatballs for $13, they were really tasty and tender though. The pork chop was ridiculously good, and I don't even like pork chop!!! It was a very large portion, crispy seared bottom and top and so tender on the inside. It came with some mashed potatoes and veggies. The clam linguini was also really tasty, very fresh large clams, and perfect with the pork chop. The prices are similar to other Italian restaurants but portions are about half the size. Great spot for a date night or a nice dinner with friends.

Yelp
This place was absolutely amazing. Service was perfect. Food was delicious and no wait time. The vibe of the place was just fancy.

Yelp
Here on a work trip and company booked me in hotel close to airport. Came here without any expectations. Friday night early before the crowd. Had the Linden cocktail. Rather two of them. Really delicious. Had the squid ink pasta with salmon. Hit the spot. Was amazing. Followed by the lava cake with paired port. Overall amazing dinner and will come back again. Plus it's freaking cool that this is a converted bank with seating in the old vault.

Yelp
I had been wanting to try this place for a while and finally decided to come by here with the hubs for a belated Valentine's Day dinner. I'm glad we decided to come the day after V-day as the place was relatively empty and we didn't have to deal with the holiday crowd, although we still got to enjoy all the decor that was still set up. We decided to split their calamari app to start. The calamari was perfectly cooked - nice and crispy and fresh without any excess oil. Drizzle it with lemon and dip it into the sauce that comes on the side, it is absolute heaven. They also provide table bread while you wait for your entrees to come out and the olive oil/balsamic vinegar dipping sauce was so fresh and savory, I could probably eat a whole bucket of that on my own. For our mains, I decided to go with the fettucine with shrimp and arugula while my husband went with the rigatoni alla carcerata. Here is where there was a minor point of complaint, which is that in both of our dishes, the pasta was just slightly undercooked. Just another minute or two of boil time would have made it perfectly al dente. However, this was a minor point and the actual flavors of the dish itself were superb and we ate every bite. For dessert, we finished off with some mango and strawberry panna cotta. Dense, yet light and creamy, it was a refreshing and sweet way to end such a savory meal.

Yelp
This was our first time and it was wonderful. The service was outstanding. The atmosphere lovely. Even the silverware felt good in my hands. To start, there was some crunchy bread with garlicky olive oil for dipping. The smell of bread was amazing and the olive oil so good, we kept it. I had the potato leek soup, which was delicious, but a drizzle of that olive oil made it sublime. My husband loved his steak-the texture and the sauce were delicious, but a tad salty for me. I had chicken piccata. Also delicious. But for me, the veggies were the stars-cooked to perfection with just the right crunch. My son loved his fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. The pasta was cooked perfectly . We had some delicious Cabernet and Pinot noir For dessert-the panda cotta was light and delicious, not too sweet. Went well with the espresso my husband ordered. Wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary.

Yelp
Grand facades, giant pillars, ornate ceilings, & the ever-popular conversation piece, the vault -- repurposing an old bank building to house a restaurant is a renovation concept I am so on board with. Friday night, Andiamo in Banca was nearly empty, I assume due to intermittent drizzling. Our dishes were mostly hits, but there were a couple misses with the carpaccio appetizer being the worst offender. The raw meat lining the bottom of the plate was shaved so thin, it disintegrated on bf's fork & disappeared into the thick layer of toppings. The lemon cheesecake dessert was also a fail, containing very little flavor. Falling somewhere in the middle were the burrata caponata (interesting spice on the veggies, no moisture in the cheese) & diavola pizza (crust was thicker than I was expecting & flavor just wasn't there.) Surprisingly good were the dishes containing my favorite crustacean: caesar salad with prawns added on & a dish resembling shrimp scampi, gamberoni al limone. Bread pudding & tiramisu were also both excellent. The menu at this South City spot is worth a deeper dive so we'll be back to further explore.

Yelp
Really nice place for dinner. The food was very beautifully presented. I got the special of halibut, I think I'd be happier if it's a bit bigger portion wise. The octopus appetizer is quite amazing.

Yelp
The building is amazing! Once a bank is now a classy upscale Italian dining experience. The waiter was very accommodating. I told him what comes on the oyster rockefeller back home, and he added that special razzle dazzle! Lol The lemon drop martini is also good. My coworkers had the red snapper and seafood alfedo. No complaints. An enjoyable dinner topped off with delicious lava cake and taramisu for dessert. Recommend? Yes Street parking. Busy area.

Yelp
We just stopped in for lunch by chance. Even though they were closing for lunch to prepare for dinner, Ibo welcomed us in. We had a fantastic meal. Service from Ibo was fabulous and Atmosphere is stunning. Highly recommend giving this place a try. We will be back to try dinner.

Yelp
Very hard to find parking. Walked in, gave them our reservation info, and they took us right away. It's gorgeous on the outside, though the pink color on the walls aren't appealing. The online menu and in person menu isn't updated. The house bread is absolutely yummy, so soft and a little crunchy on the outside. The waygu meatballs were flavorful and very soft, there was no texture at all. I think bread crumbs on top would be good for a nice crunch. The shrimp was over cooked and lacked flavor, the sauce tasted watered down. The caesar salad was okay, but a majority of the leaves were browning like it was old. For my main I ordered the penne with vodka sauce. It was underwhelming and had little to no flavor, I salted it but it still wasn't good. The noodles were way too cooked, not al dente. My friend had the pappardelle bolognese and hers also lacked flavor, but her noodles were undercooked. The man refilling our bread and water was super on top of his job. Our waitress wasn't too attentive compared to the waiter helping the other nearby tables. This restaurant is lacking in the food and service department. I wouldn't come back here.

Yelp
This place is consistently good. Their pizza is one of the best in the Bay. Service is excellent as well. I always order the crab cakes and Filet Mignon.

Yelp
I went here with a lot of hopes but it was a bigger disappointment than any other Italian restaurant I've ever been to. Service is their main problem, food is pretty average and hence does not compensate for the bad service. The server assigned to us was disrespectful. He did not listen to us, ignored us when we tried calling him. We literally had to call other waiters to request our server to come listen to us. Even when he would show up, he would barely listen and just tell us- 'yeah yeah it's on its way' and then quickly run away. We had to wait for 30 minutes for appetizers, 45 minutes for just bread and another 30 for our margarita pizza that was ordered along with apps. I don't think we were being unreasonable in asking for an estimate of when the food would arrive. Wine: We ordered a chianti - the waiter said they're out so he got a substitute. We didn't like the substitute and asked for a different one which really bothered him. I'm not sure why I should not be allowed to request a bottle of wine I want when I'm paying $100 for it. Appetizers: We ordered the burrata and bruschetta for appetizers. Bruschetta was soggy- literally soggy. We couldn't eat it and had to leave it Burrata should come with bread- there was no bread provided. Infact we did not have bread on our table until 1 hour after sitting- we had to specifically ask for some bread about 4 times before it finally made an appearance on our table. Even then it was just 4 pieces of bread for a group of 6- but we knew asking for another loaf would just mean another hour wait so we gave up on the idea. We were pretty hungry so before ordering the mains, we asked for a Margarita pizza- this took about 30 minutes to arrive and was more of a cheese pizza. No basil, thick hand tossed base. We then requested them to bring our check since we were really disappointed with the service. Hearing this, the owner showed up and asked us to 'chill' wow! The owner instead of taking accountability of his poor service and bad servers, asked us to CHILL! I'm never going here again and I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.
