Son went here for the clip and climb he really enjoyed it there is a good selection of climbing walls for all abilities very helpful staff and safety enforced, there is a little bit of waiting with your hand up but they are pretty quick at getting to you. He also went in the soft play while we waited it was 6.50 which is bad. There are slides, trampoline a little tots bit. Very nice. Haven't been in the pool myself but he has clean and maintained.

There seems to be a massive lack of air flow in the main halls. Could you look to have air con there for better ventilation? The floor is very spongy too, showers are modern but water pressure is low and the shower floors could do with more grouting as you can see the plugs in the tiles. Overall a nice modern pleasant leisure centre.

Run by kids tbh and full of kids on machines on there phone all the time. But I guess it is leisure centre and not a full out gym. Steam room is alot better since they have fixed it and sauna can't fault. And obviously the swimming pools are excellent. Changing rooms are so small though for myself can hardly take my top off without banging into the sides and not the cleanest of places either so take flip flops.

This is a lovely leisure centre, I have always found it clean, tidy and the netball courts are great. However, I find the lane swimming is always over subscribed - it can be a nightmare! Equally, the gym is also becoming oversubscribed - some of the equipment is far too close together which is a health and safety risk (eg the leg press & back machine), and for a premium gym membership, there are many juniors/students sat around on their phones and snogging - rather than working out. I think a good solution would be designated student areas or times, or staff that were happy to move them along! Would like to hear the Centres suggestions/solutions to this feedback! Many thanks

PHOEBE I have been bringing my son to Andover Leisure Centre many times before and have never had any issues. Unfortunately, during my recent visit, I spoke with a staff member named Phoebe who was extremely rude and spoke to me very loudly, which was completely unnecessary. I felt uncomfortable and had no choice but to ask for a manager to step in. I don’t know why the service was lacking this time, but I believe Phoebe would really benefit from customer service training. Good customer service makes a big difference, and I hope this can be addressed so that future visits can be more positive. To make things worse, they told me they would call me back to resolve my booking issue, but no one ever contacted me. I had to physically go there myself just to explain about a double booking, which day I wanted to attend, and which day I needed to cancel. I expected better communication and service from a place I’ve trusted for a long time.

its an okay small gym has all you need but wish they hadn't changed the closing times on the weekends as only open til 6.30pm used to be 8 or 9 pm. i work late and usually too tired to go in the week and i work some late weekends and can't make it anymore due to gym closing so early! also need more late zumba classes as most are around 5pm and so i never get a sniff i really enjoyed them and wish weekends had more late weekend lane swimming slots as there used to be one around 7-8pm which was perfect now on saturdays only slots at 8am-2.30pm on a saturday and 8am-12.30pm on a sunday. lacking value now considering the upping costs of the gym used to be £26 now £30 for less access :-(

Took my son and his friend here recently and was better than expected. Walls are great and fun compared to the standard climbing walls I've taken him previously. Only thing I would suggest is doing the safety video 10-15minutes before they start as they lost this time on the wall. Othere than that we'll planned and safety conscious. Highly recommended.

Cardio is good I get on with the but as of the weights they don't consider short people who can't reach the handles once they have sat down to do them

Yelp
This is sadly quite a run down leisure centre now. I have not tried the gym facilities so can't comment on them but it very much has an air of neglect. The swimming pools consist of one small one and one larger pool. One good thing they do do is have an hour or so where they put lots of toys in the pool for younger children but the pool always seems very cold so you can't stay for long!

Yelp
The Andover Leisure Centre has recently undergone a refurbishment of its gym facilities which makes it a much better place, I use the gym 3-4 times a week and find it comfortable and easy to use and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The only down side to the refurbishment is that they did not upgrade the ladies only area of the gym. There are many classes run in the centres studios, if you are an all inclusive member then any classes are free and you get to book earlier than non members in order to secure a place. Members can now also book on-line which makes life easier. The classes are rated ABC etc in order to show which ones are most popular and the price bracket! My daughter attends swimming lessons at the leisure centre and although the changing areas are quite dated and a lot of the cubicles broken the actual teachers and lessons are fantastic and excellent value for money (approx. £50 for ten weeks depending on levels). You can book one to one swimming lessons and there are lessons at all levels from babies to adults. They have recently introduced a 'dive school' for more advanced swimmers looking to improve their diving skills. There is an excellent coffee shop within the building which is great whilst waiting for children to finish lessons. Archies world is part of the leisure centre and includes a restaurant and a play area for children aged 18 months to 5 years. It also has a creche which you can use whilst visiting the gym or just while you go shopping! The restaurant is pretty expensive for what you get and the service could be improved. Archies also cater for childrens parties with a play time in Archies World, either a hot meal and dessert or a buffet style menu and a visit from Archie himself. If you don't fancy an Archies party the leisure centre also offer parties for older children within the complex, either an activity party with party games such as parachutes, cat and mouse and ball games in one of the studios. There are also swim parties. Although the gym, studio and lessons are good for a family trip out I would use Romsey Rapids which is part of the same chain and can be found on the same web pages.
