A great place to get pizza in the Reston area &pizza is a fast-casual pizza franchise that has carved out a place in the food world with its modern, customizable approach to pizza. Founded in 2012 by Michael Lastoria and Steve Salis, the first &pizza opened in Washington, D.C. Customers have the ability to build their own pizzas with a wide array of doughs, sauces, cheeses, and toppings, all prepared quickly in front of them. This personalized approach has resonated with pizza lovers seeking more than just a typical slice. The franchise has expanded significantly, with over 30 locations in cities like Washington, D.C., New York, and Philadelphia. I recently tried the one near the Reston Town Center at the northwest corner of Library and Democracy Streets. It is a corner space on street level. There is not a lot of tables for seating so stake out your place quickly. There were screens where you order and pay for you pizza. In a few minutes it will be ready and they will call your name that you input when ordering. The price is reasonable. The pizza was a large flatbread type pizza. I ordered a pepperoni and really liked the taste. The space itself was a little dirty but that was to be expected with the volume of customers that they were serving and the speed of table turnover when I visited. The pizza was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, I liked the idea and hope that they open one near me soon.

Having never been to an &pizza before, we wandered in to get something to eat for lunch that would be quick and delicious. And we were not disappointed! There's many pizza options to pick from, whether from the premade menu or to build yourself, and after a quick jaunt through a hot oven it's ready to eat! I tried the seasonal Glizzy McGuire pizza, which I thought was a great name, and it was a really tasty take on a chili cheese dog in pizza form, the mustard was something I've never thought about having on pizza before

Google
Very good pizza! I got the vegan hot in here. I should have gotten something spicy on top but it was so good! Couldn’t even tell I was eating vegan cheese and vegan chicken. It was confusing to order because the cook took my order and then the cashier thought I paid but I didn’t, it was a little confusing. Nobody was standing by the register at all for a long time. Otherwise, I will def go back to try something else.

&Pizza located in the Reston Town Center is a different approach to the traditional triangle and square pizzas. &pizza (pronounced "And Pizza") is an American fast casual pizza restaurant chain, with 55 locations in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. The restaurant sells personal and customizable oblong-shaped pizzas. They tailor each location to its neighborhood, with local artists designing the interiors. Some locations serve beer, wine, and cocktails. This location is near several parking lots, so don't expect to park on the street, especially when there is a lot of human traffic. I managed to park on the street by a corner, but it was a challenge to park in between two crevices that didn't completely understand why the white lines existed for designated spaces. Once I got into the &pizza, I was greeted with hip-hop music that was not too heavy but set the right tone. It's small with enough seats to dine in, which I did. I ordered the best seller, Maverick, which is the equivalent of a meat lover's. I also ordered a Pineapple Jackd to go. The pizza was excellent, especially with the black olives I added at the pickup point. Well, let's get to the heat news. The pizza was awesome. It was cooked to temperature that made it possible to eat right away. The portions were ideal for one person; however, I have an astonishing appetite, which is why I ordered another to go. Cooks the bottom line is &Pizza is a must visit. The atmosphere, the people, and the service were awesome. Highly recommend.

Google
&pizza is a great quick service pizza place. We were very happy with their vegan options and enjoyed the ability to specify our preferences in their app/website. It then highlights what you can and can't eat. The pizza we got was delicious and we will certainly be coming back here often!

Google
When this locaiton originally opened, it was excellent. &Pizza was putting out a fantastic product with fresh ingredients and speedy service. The best way to describe it now is like fast food in the 80s; the picture looks good but the finished product looks sad. On top of that, they don't have enough employees so the service is brutal.

Google
Well, bummer we were underwhelmed. The boxing was more impressive than the taste of the pizza. We did two create your own pizzas but the chicken was dry, the red sauce was a bit skimpy and although the crust wasn't bad the rest of it was just ok. I'd still pick MOD pizza over this but if you haven't tried &pizza, you should because you might have a better experience or you just might prefer the taste better than we did.

Google
Fantastic gluten-free options. My wife and I went gluten-free about a week ago and feel absolutely amazing. Gluten causes sluggishness, irritability, and nearly all behavioral problems. We're really happy that there's food options for all of us at all these major franchises.

Yelp
The pizza was quite good. I had a custom-made margarita pizza. My friend had a white sauce based pizza. The service was very fast and the server was extremely helpful. He even spoke some sign language to my deaf friend.

Yelp
I introduced my coworker to &pizza at Reston Town Center and am happy to report she enjoyed the experience and have a thumbs up. I was a little worried because I knew the crust was important to her, as we walked to her car & drove over I began prepping her trying to explain it wasn't traditional pizza but was a good food experience. When we arrived I began prepping mine first. I had forgotten to mention you were not limited on toppings. I was glad to see the expression of joy on her face as the staff told her she could pick any toppings. I was equally relieved when she approved the crust and the pizza in general. This location has a well set up prep area and nice seating in a corner space. I am glad there is an &pizza close to work and expect it will be an occasional lunch treat.

Yelp
Food is really good, though be aware that it's gonna have cross-contamination (same gloves grabbing all the different foods) so if you have an allergy be aware. For ambiance, things have gone downhill recently. I've been eating here for years, but recently they've changed things that make it less welcoming. Can't see the hours on the door, you need to scan a QR code (reallllllly dislike that), music really loud, ordering on a screen instead of in person, have to give your phone number to get a notification when your food is ready. It definitely feels like choices coming from higher up the chain/corporate, and I don't like it. The food is great, don't make the experience unwelcoming in pursuit of being new.

David P.

Yelp
The pizza I ordered was made 100% correct, the topping were generous and well distributed. It was really good, I love it. I will continue ordering at this location, the service was good and fast. I definitely will recommend &pizza to my friends and family.

Jay P.

Yelp
Food is good but needs to be better heated (especially the pizzas). Service is fine but sometimes slow. My issue is with the franchise though. When someone orders garlic bread and or others on the menu, it would be common sense that a dressing (ranch and or the others) be included in that order; asking the customer to pay extra for ranch looks bad on the business. Normally 3.5/5, but here 3/5.

Makenzie D.

Yelp
Great pizza as always. Quick, attentive service. Ambiance was fine overall- no complaints.

Mike B.

Yelp
Brought my youngest here with me because side they have never been and I really like this place. Great place to get a quick, personal pizza made the way you want it. Lots of toppings available and a few different crusts and sauces as well. The desserts were so-so, but they are prepackaged, so it's not like my expectations were super high. Great place if you want a quick bite and don't want to spend a lot. For those who have tried MOD pizza, I would say this place is a bit of step up because the crust for the pizza is a bit better here (IMO).

Naz S.

Yelp
My favorite pizza joint in Reston area! Every pizza is on point. I love that they have great preselected combos or you can make your own.

Tom E.

Yelp
Good food and love the customization options. Ordered online and it was ready in like 10 minutes when I got there. Only concern is I feel like it would be better if I ate it there in the 10 minute car ride home it gets little floppy would like it a bit more crispy but thats just my preference.

Kelly M.

Yelp
Totally mixed feelings on this place. Crappy customer service. I stood at the pickup window. They ignored me while someone walked around to get behind the glass and another pounded on the counter and they helped them first. Guess I need to ignore the signage and the health precautions and be a jerk to get some help. Good gluten free pizza, which is hard to do, so their regular pizza must be terrific. Ordered two pizzas through the app and they put the toppings and drizzles of one on the other. Would have been really good if they did it right, but because they made the mistake, the two of us who ordered very different pizzas had "meh" experiences. So I guess it goes back to "crappy customer service". I wouldn't have considered it dinner rush when I went, but maybe I will try to go at an even slower hour to see if they can get the order right.

Yelp
Before we tried this location, the only other time we ate at an &pizza was the one in Springfield. When we were at a Yelp event, &pizza was there and they gave me 2 coupons for a free pizza. That, of course, enticed us to try it and the closest one at the time was in Springfield. We found the pizza to be okay. Then they opened up one in RTC but we never made it there. What stopped us was the very limited seating. We wondered if we would be able to find a seat when we got our pizzas. Last week my husband told me he wanted pizza so I suggested ordering takeout and delivery at &pizza. So we put our order in with Door Dash which went very well. Our pizzas were made just as we asked and they arrived when we expected them. Their pizzas are still okay. On my pizza I did the traditional crust with tomato sauce, mozzarella, grape tomatoes, bacon and a roasted garlic drizzle. My husband did the traditional crust, tomato sauce, mozzarella, sausage and a roasted garlic drizzle. We both found they were stingy when it came to the ingredients. There could have been a little more sauce and cheese. The pizzas were cut in 8 pieces which made them easy to eat. My husband's pizza only had one slice of sausage on each piece. The pizzas hit the spot when it came to my husband's pizza craving. So they met expectations that way. These pizzas are middle of the road ones. If you've had really great pizza like John's in NYC or Regina's in Boston, you will be disappointed if that's what you expect from here. So, I say order from here with tempered expectations and you will do just fine.

Trisha C.

Yelp
&pizza is the perfect place to grab a quick, delicious bite. Their pizza comes with many topping options and is highly customizable for your taste specifications. Parking can be found on the street or parking garage down the street.

Jennifer P.

Yelp
Ordered 3 pizzas through delivery. Only 2 delivered. No phone number to contact them. Sent text to Uber driver who delivered, no response. Text to number listed on business website, no response. Will be disputing charges and filing report with BBB.

Aaron A.

Yelp
I got take out pizza from here. It's not your regular pizza place. The pizza comes more on a flat bread then your common round pie. It was very good and we will comeback when we return.

A W.

Yelp
You can order a pizza but if they don't deliver it or if they mess up your order, you cannot contact them. No phone number. No money back. No reorder. This is theft.

Beelaboof A.

Yelp
This was My first time in Reston and all I can say is how incredible the fast food service and excellent customer service is!!

Chowder C.

Yelp
&pizza used to be my favorite pizza joint prior to 2020 from the days they were in DC and Bethesda. I have not been back much since WFM, but have seen a continuous slide in the number (and amount) of ingredients they put on the pizza. Came back after 2 years and ordered a Maverick and CBR last night. Great enthusiastic staff greeted us and made the pie. Dough was great, but the pie was so light on ingredients it felt like eating air. We were also disappointed that some of our favorite (&unique) items like fig balsamic finishes are not on the menu in this location. There are a lot of pizza options in the area nowadays, and this makes &pizza feel undifferentiated. Please bring back the old &pizza!!!

Tim L.

Yelp
Good pizza. Shitty delivery service. Drivers always get lost because their Uber eats app sucks. No one to talk to if you try to call and bots if you text

Bridget L.

Yelp
Don't order pizza to be delivered whatever app they use sucks! Every week the delivery person drives to the wrong neighborhood and we have to contact them repeatedly to get them to find our house which is not complicated! Tonight the delivery person hung up on us and told us our pizza was delivered and lo and behold it was not! It's too bad we really like their pizzas but are no longer going to go here.

Yelp
I have been to several &pizza locations in the Washington, DC area. This one, a fine addition to the Reston Town Center, brings flash and flair that is much needed in a dying shopping area. I am happy that it is here and not only that, but that I can walk to it, making me feel not too guilty about indulging in what this Chipotle-style pizza joint has to offer. The experience is on par for what you would expect for an &pizza. The staff is what you would normally expect from an &pizza, that urban vibe with the music so loud that it disorients your brain. The food is still great, hand crafted flatbread pizza with fresh ingredients at a not-so-fresh price (pies are now $12). So for the future get the app and just save your money as much as you can. However, the app is so finicky that it is unpleasant to use. It had to take 3 staff members to show me how to use it properly. Other than that negative, the experience was such that I would definitely return for more pizza. After all, the more I go, the more I earn!

Yelp
I have a disability and require a service animal to assist me with my disability. My service Animal is a trained seizure response dog. I carry all needed documentation at all times should I ever need to share them (even though it is not legally required). Tonight, I made a visit to this &Pizza and was immediately asked to leave because "no dogs are allowed in here". This was yelled at me from behind the counter across the restaurant where several other customers were between me and the employee who asked me to leave. I shared with the employee that the animal with me is a service dog. He understood. Immediately after, another employee (Keelin I believe was his name) yells across the restaurant again from behind the counter "you need to leave, animals are not allowed here." To which AGAIN I disclosed, this is a service animal. He responded with (verbatim) "it doesn't matter, dogs are not allowed here" I told him I cannot function without this animal because I have a disability. He yelled out to me, and every other customer in the restaurant, "you're still not allowed here with the dog. You need to leave." I told him I have legal documentation to show that I need my service Animal with me at all times. He told me he didn't care and that it doesn't matter. So I showed the documentation to another employee for the hope that the other man would stop yelling and embarrassing me even further. I have never felt so discriminated against or embarrassed at public business in my entire life. Never have I ever been treated this way. It is hard enough to live with a disability. It was incredibly ignorant and disrespectful to be yelled at and asked to leave because I have a service animal to assist me with my disability to function properly. This is incredibly illegal. This post is not to fire anyone, but to simply request that management/ownership educate the employees they hire at their facilities. Never assume an animal is a pet that enters your facility. Simply approach the customer and ask if that animal is a service animal- no need to embarrass the disabled customer in front of crowds and continue to kick them out even though the animal had every right to be there. Horrible Horrible experience. For the employee at this facility who treated me this way please understand the law: "ADA makes it clear that service animals are allowed in public facilities and accommodations. A service animal must be allowed to accompany the handler to any place in the building or facility where members of the public, program participants, customers, or clients are allowed. Even if the business or public program has a "no pets" policy, it may not deny entry to a person with a service animal. Service animals are not pets. So, although a "no pets" policy is perfectly legal, it does not allow a business to exclude service animals."

Nina W.

Yelp
&pizza has a new fan! I really enjoyed my first experience here. I was greeted right away when I walked in around 5pm and the service was swift. I also thought it was really great what they are doing for those affected by the shutdown - federal employees (free pie between 3-5 pm) and contractors ($5 pies). I went with the Moonstruck and my friend went with the Pineapple Jack. I thought Moonstruck was really good. I love the sweet balsamic glaze on it. I tried my friend's pizza and it was good, but I could do without the pickled red onion. I thought it was a little overpowering. I definitely want to come back and try some of the other pies!

Todd S.

Yelp
Amazing vegan pizza options. I love their topping choices and vegan cheese. Putting the basil on post bake really makes it so much better. Super fast making and baking!

Jong K.

Yelp
Just perfectly made. Just how you want it. Just take away your hunger. Not much of a guy who loves his but this took me away to the pizza land and back.

Judy N.

Yelp
I am a fan of &pizza. I can't believe the one location in DC that I used to go to has turned into many more locations around the DMV. They are a nice addition to RTC, providing the variety of pizza to the mix, and a healthier pizza option for that matter. They have options for a gluten free dough, vegan sausage, and vegan mozzarella for those with diet preferences. You can order one of their crafted pizzas, or make your own. The calories of each ingredient are listed and the ingredient options are descent. I think their drizzles are a must try with fig balsamic, hot honey and basil pesto. The crust is thin and made to order. The assembly line flow for this new location needs some sharpening. I thought service was fantastic though. Everyone was friendly, helpful and patient. I can't say I've had poor customer service with the other venues at RTC. I think it's the dynamics of the area itself. But the service here adds a good vibe. They have cereal milk cream soda here for the collaboration between milk bar &pizza. I didn't like this soda much. I didn't quite taste the cereal milk that I remember from Christina Tosi's dessert. It just tasted like regular cream soda with a bizarre after taste. That's just my two cents.

AJ M.

Yelp
Good pizza with quality ingredients. The vegan sausage tastes pretty good. Online ordering process is user friendly.

Madhulika P.

Yelp
I loved it! Lite and delicious even staff is cool enough to customize our own style! Will visit soon

Daisy J.

Yelp
Good pizza, good service and pretty quick on the orders during lunch time during the work week. I would definitely come back and get the maverick again.

Neha A.

Yelp
Terrific pizza! Love applying the "chipotle model" to pizza. Makes good sense to me. The crust is fantastic and they have a variety of toppings. I typically get a veggie pizza and recently tried the margarita pizza, both of which are super tasty and very shareable or good for leftovers. Yummy pizza that is surprisingly light and at a good price!

Allison T.

Yelp
This has by far been the best &pizza location we have visited! The staff was so helpful and the owner was so kind and answered any questions we had regarding the pies! They definitely know how to serve a good pie! Definitely recommend &pizza if you're in Reston town center!

LeAnn L.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite pizza chains to go to. They have so many options that you can choose from. Personally, I like the pineapple pizza bc it's a little spicy but there are many premade ones to choose from. There are also a lot of drink options that are not soda! Anyways this is one of the best fast food chains in the dc area. Fun fact it actually originated from DC!

Roberto S.

Yelp
Horrible customer service. DO NOT GO HERE. We walked in with 10 minutes to spare and the " manager " said they are " closing now" and that we cannot order. Hours online state that they close at 10PM not that they close at 9:50 PM. Absolutely horrid customer service . Do not give this place your business. Today is Wednesday December 1st. Whoever your staff is that closed today. Please talk to them about appropriate customer service and proper work ethic!

Anderson V.

Yelp
Great customer service and care well took care of love the pizza came out well cook will come back definitely recommend if your walking around reston and hungry

Jade J.

Yelp
I ordered the American Honey and moonstruck pizza. The moonstruck pizza was tasty but a bit too cheesy for my taste, I wish there was more contrasting flavor aside from heavy cheese and bread. The American honey had a super memorable taste of sweeet and savory with a hint of spicy. This pizza was better and more flavorful with a lingering spicy aftertaste that made it worthwhile. Would I go back? Yes. Is it always my first option? Maybe

Kenny W.

Yelp
This is definitely my go to spot for lunch (and I am a pretty healthy eater). The Garlic Knots have my heart and the Cookie tops it off. I put in the time at the gym so I could enjoy this goodness. Always a great staff I went in there with a lot of coupons that I got from corporate and they took good care of me. Shout out to Henry! Awesome dude! The Urban Techy

Nusrat B.

Yelp
I've been to other &pizza and i love their pizza. Not sure what happened here, my order was missing multiple toppings and the crust was very hard. Definitely not a typical & pizza experience I usually get.

Lincoln T.

Yelp
Excellent pizza. Much fresher and way more delicious than Mod Pizza. Try the American Honey pizza. You won't regret it!!

Manuel C.

Yelp
The food is really good, the bread id very much bread, the pizza huts my mouth the way chris brown hits Rihanna. Cheers to the only place to out pizza the hut.

Mike B.

Yelp
The OG is very true to the flavor profile it wants to project...thick sweet sauce is balanced by raw oiive oil and squashed cherry tomato... I made my jalapeño/buffalo chicken dry by asking for blue cheese... it was a good foil to the OG. I accidentally tried several fountain drinks because the can of passion fruit / mango soda was ridiculously childish. The only worthy cup of sugar was the Burdock/ Anise/ Rootbeer and it wasn't even a 3 out of 5. Know I know why &Pizza has a following.

John B.

Yelp
This was my second time using online ordering. I have a bit of reticence about it; I think directing the pizza assembly in person and getting the exact detail of how you want your pesto drizzled is part of the &experience. Nonetheless, I was in a hurry to get somewhere so I ordered ahead, and it came out perfectly and in a timely fashion, and the pickup was smooth. It's been a while since I've been in the right town (or right country) for an &pizza; the latest developments include tater tots as toppings, and the reclassification of chickpeas from a protein to a vegetable. The tater tots tasted decent, though potatoes on pizza is just never going to be a thing no matter how many people try. Too many carbs. What I'm still waiting for is nuts or soy-based topping options (tempeh is good), which some of the other creative pizza places have tried. Anyway, if you're in Reston it's a capably assembled, filling, and delicious pizza.

Bill W.

Yelp
Excellent food and service! I look forward to coming back here and bringing friends and family. Dining area is clean and the turnaround on your order is very fast.

Sage S.

Yelp
I used to turn my nose up at chains, but then I realized I shouldn't hate on an establishment for good enough to have massive growth. Yes, many establishments end up losing quality, especially the bigger they get. But not all. &Pizza is a perfect example of a chain that has the quality of a "mom n pop", while also having the price point and consistency of a chain. Definetely sign up for their rewards...it's one of the best rewards programs I've ever signed up for. They randomly drop offers like $5 pie. Ordering online or via the app is very convenient. The first time I ever tried this place was in DCA airport. I got the moonstruck. This particular pie isn't available at all locations, BUT since you can customize your pie however you like, you can replicate it pretty well. I usually add goat cheese and fig balsamic to every pie I get. Everyone has different tastes so that might not be your jam. The good thing is the menu is fully customizable, so you should be able to find something you like! It might take some trial and error till you find the perfect combinations. Or you can stick to the basics if you already know what you like. I normally like "adventurous" combinations, but my husband usually just gets the heifer, (pepperoni pizza with ranch drizzle) and it's super yummy! They have fantastic vegetarian options and vegan options! I personally did not care for the vegan sausage, but the vegan chicken is PHENOMINAL. Seriously, give this place a try. You might not like it, especially if you have a particular type of pizza you prefer. I personally like pretty much any type. Thin crust, thick crust, I'll eat it all. I think Detroit style is my fave thick crust, and St Louis is my fave thin crust. But other than school lunch pizza, there really haven't been many pizzas in my life I didn't like. The only downside for me is they don't have anything besides pizza, knots, and dessert. No wings or anything like that. But hey, maybe that's why the pizza is SO GOOD. Because it's pretty much all they do.

Chris B.

Yelp
Better make sure they get it right! I ordered delivery and proceeded to spend 40 mins trying to get my order corrected with them before giving up and going to dominos. After the forever back and forth they offered me $15 worth of point so I can reorder my pizza and repay the extra $10 of taxes and fees out my of pocket due to their mistake

Nikita T.

Yelp
I used to love this &pizza location and have frequented it since it opened, often for their BOGO deals. Over time, I've really noticed their quality go down - when they first opened I would've given a solid 4 stars. The flavors are great and the ingredients taste fresh. But as of the last several months or even the entire last year, I've had my orders messed up or missing ingredients more times than not, and they've become super stingy with toppings. They leave almost half the pizza just without toppings by leaving a thick crust around all the edges, and in the middle they still barely throw on any of the veggies or cheese. I'm hopeful that this &pizza will step it up to the quality they used to provide.

Bhaskar K.

Yelp
Great custom pizzas. Lots of toppings and options. They're usually very busy and would recommend ordering ahead.

Ang K.

Yelp
I've had &pizza at least once before years ago. Pretty good. We ended up here since there was a long wait next door. I created my own pizza and was satisfied. The crust is light and tasty. Ingredients fresh. Bf got the American honey and loved the hot honey sauce. Will return just to buy a bottle of the hot honey. Nice staff and quick service.

Iain B.

Yelp
I'm not quite sure what the point of ordering an over easy egg on a pizza is if you're going to run the pizza through the oven with the egg on it. Because it's not over easy anymore. 3 stars because the pizza itself is pretty good, the egg thing is just really disappointing.

Yelp
& pizza at Reston is the best thing to happen for me and my husband ! I mean, we are such great fans that we used to go to their Arlington location from Sterling just for the heck of it. The location at Reston town centre is perfect. The module is simple, you either order from the menu or make your own pizza. It's a fast- pizza style with thin pizza base. I always, Ming you, always get their Moonstruck pizza. It's just so freaking amazing! I love the truffle sauce, mushrooms and onions combo. I can't have enough of it. One pizza is enough for one one person, if you are starving, otherwise I usually leave behind one / two slices. My husband makes his own pizza with buffalo sauce , chickpeas, chicken and jalapeño, which tastes good as well. The only flaw is seen is there is not enough seating area, I mean considering it's location, it should have been more. Also, the way tables are put together, it's weird. You have to share table with other people. I can easily overlook this thing because I love &pizza and gonna keep coming back!
