What a great place to have lunch. The atmosphere is bright and festive with nice vaulted ceilings. The staff was friendly and attentive. I had a superb shredded beef chimichanga served with rice and beans. An indication I use to determine the quality of restaurants is how clean their bathrooms are, and Andrade's take pride in the cleanance of their restaurant! I highly recommend it.

Love this spot! Delicious authentic Mexican food. Fantastic environment. Beautiful new building with so much space! Recommend the enchiladas and the steak tacos. Queso is great too.

Google
Has a great ambiance. Whoever owns this place should rethink the entire menu, or replace the entire kitchen staff. The beans had to have been weeks old, Food was Bland and Extremely mushy. And whats with the mexican potatoes, half cooked microwaved russets, there is nothing hispanic about that. The food was so Disgusting I had to tell the waitress " I wouldn't feed my dog this garbage" Won't be back and will not recommend. This place is a rip off!!!

This was our second visit to Andrade's. The atmosphere is awesome. The staff is friendly and helpful. I received good opinions on the food choices both visits. The Food is INCREDIBLE. I am hooked for life. I will now try everything on the menu. I keep forgetting to snag pictures so you'll just have to take my word for it. Eat here. Drink here. Bring your kids!

The food was really good. Everything had really good flavor and the food came out fast. The margaritas were amazing too.

My husband and I came here tonight for dinner. We had our three year old with us. The waitress forgot my drink. We had to ask for it. The food was really horrible. We have been to a lot of Mexican restaurants and this was by far the worst "mexcian" food ever. They put so much vegetables in the rice and in the food itself. I had two enchiladas and they were gross gross the only reason I ate them is because I was starving. The tortillas didn't look done and they were all slimy. Again we had to track the waitress down so we could get a refill. The food really had no flavor at all. We had asked for sour cream and other side toppings but never received those either we got tired of tracking this waitress down so we gave up. I will never ever return to this restaurant. It was pretty much a huge huge disappointment of food for the amount of money we spent.

This is your authentic Mexican restaurant. Best Mexican food in the treasure valley. Love love love their food and service. Very kind and prompt service.

This was my first time dining at Andrade's, and the atmosphere immediately set the tone-cheerful energy with uplifting music in the background. We were greeted by a friendly host on his very first day of work, and he made us feel welcome right away. After being seated at our booth, we were lucky enough to be served by Erika. She was joyful, energetic, and truly dynamic in every detail of her work. Her attentiveness and enthusiasm made the experience so much more special. As we were leaving, I couldn't help but tell Erika how wonderful she is. She's the kind of person who brightens the whole room, and I'm so glad my first experience at Andrade's included her exceptional service.

Yelp
My friend listed off a few differnt joints as ideas for lunch today. Andrade's was one of them. I'm always down for Mexican food for lunch so Andradre's was today's pick. Walking in, this place is so colorful and vibrant! I love the pretty water fountain as soon as you walk in and the pretty art piece that was hanging above it. The whole venue looks like a fiesta so you know you're about to have a great time! We got sat. A sweet gal dropped off a couple waters, chips and salsa. Nothing like starting your afternoon with chips and salsa! Adri came shortly after and grabbed drink orders. I got a virgin mango margarita today. She asked if I wanted the rim salted or tajined. I totally would have but I have to watch my salt intake. Without the salt and tajin, that mango margarita was money! It was so good! It was perfectly blended! It had a good amount of mango to it. It was absolutely delicious! For lunch I got a shredded beef taco and shredded beef enchilada for lunch. It also came out with a side of rice and beans. The plate looked fabulous! I appreciate the peas and carrots in the rice! It added another texture to it. The rice and beans were nice and hot! Super tasty! The beef in my enchilada was tenders and flavorful. The sauce was rich in color and flavor. I like that there was a slight heat to everything. It wasn't overwhelming. I didn't get a chance to eat much of the taco. I did take a bite and it was good! I do wish that the tortilla didn't get all soggy. One side of the taco was great but the other was drenched in fluid. I also did find hard pieces of rice in the side of rice i got. Kind like it's been sitting too long and it dried out. It wasn't the best the chew. I'm happy I got to try this joint out today! Adri was fantastic and did a great job taking care of us! My margarita was top notch! The food was good and the venue was so much fun. Looking forward to coming back and trying other goodies of their menu with another bomb ass margarita!

Yelp
food was edible but for the way our table was treated I will never be back. ordered blended margaritas the lady said why that takes away the flavor. then threw in full ice cubes to "keep them cold" rude and rushed to take our order when we were finishing up the server rolled their clean up cart right into my chair pretty much saying leave. will never recommend this place to anyone again.

Ellie B.

Yelp
The service was great. The food was okay but I have had better. The ambience was cool to would go again.

Jordan K.

Yelp
We have tried so many items on the menu and they are always so so good! A few years back when they changed locations their service got really poor so we quit going for a while, but it seems as though they have worked out the kinks! We were seated immediately and had a nice time on the patio. Glad we chose to give it another shot; we will be back!

Yelp
Very good Mexican restaurant in Boise. Nice ambiance, great service. Had the Pollo Jalapeno, and my wife had the Enchilada and a Taco. The Taco was hard to pick up and eat as it was a little soggy, but she said the Enchilada was very good. I thought the Pollo Jalapeno was delicious. The Jalapeno Margherita was also great. Had the Sopapilla for dessert, really good! Definitely will go back for more.

Yelp
After an unfortunate trip to the hospital, my girlfriend and I decided to give this place a shot after reading countless good reviews. We ordered takeout - I got the carnitas and my girlfriend got the Especial de Javier # 3. I can't speak much for the service or the ambiance since it was takeout, however, the overall taste of the food was good. Everything was seasoned well, decent portions (not amazing), and happy stomach's. Overall, a good experience.

Yelp
Came here to grab some takeout for the weekend. When I showed up I thought I had the wrong address, as there were no cars in the parking lot... turns out it was just really slow that day. Anyway, I was greeted and I asked if I could put in an order for takeout. They said of course and seated me at the bar while I looked at the menu. Everything looked really tasty, but I settled on the Pollo Jalapeño. I had a beer while I was waiting and I really enjoyed the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant. Very bright and open, and I could see it getting pretty lively when it's busy. I got my order and drove home. When I picked the bag up and started walking I felt something shift in the bag, and noticed liquid pooling in the bottom of the bag. Crap! The Styrofoam container didn't have the strength to hold the weight of the dish, and the food ended up in the bottom of the bag. It was a mess. I was able to salvage everything and it was quite good, but having to scrape everything out and pile onto a plate like slop sucked. I'd definitely eat here again, but hopefully they'll invest in some better takeout containers than what they have now.

Yelp
Our second time here- we specifically stopped in Boise so we could eat here again. We were totally satisfied with that decision. I had the chile relleno again, because I had been dreaming about them since we ate here last. They were even better than I remembered. Hubby had puerco de la abuela- also fantastic. Can't wait to get back to Boise to come back here.

Yelp
Inside out: their new location has ample parking- but no shade. The building is new with an open design and a high ceiling. A mural that I personally love, covers one whole wall! My husband and a friend enjoyed looking for all the little details. The colors inside are bright and the place is decorated in a fun way (the swing seat was a little odd for me - everything else was fine.) the plants are fantastic, and the fountain is lovely to stand by when you walk in! Service: fast friendly, nothing to complain about. Food: everything I've had here is absolutely delicious, the friends I've gone with agree. Fish tacos, chimichangas, burritos, and even the desserts like fried ice cream. Overall I would say it's a good experience, but I am extremely miffed when I go there and find out that I have to pay $4.25 or so for a single fish street taco, honestly tacos are one of my favorite things to get and I just don't see myself able to spend that much when I can get them for less and get more other places.

Yelp
Andrade's has such a fun atmosphere. We came in with a group of 10 and they easily accommodated our group. They only had two servers working at the time and they still did an amazing job. Their chips and salsa were great, but it does cost extra to get a refill of chips. All of us really enjoyed our food. I got steak tacos and the steak was seasoned so well and was packed with flavor. They have an extensive menu with a variety of options.
google avatar

Mercedes C.

Yelp
Service was attentive without being obtrusive My dining companion's refried beans were the best he's ever had. My Mole was the best I've had. Portions are worth what you pay. The main detractor is the building is cavernous so sound travels which makes conversation a little challenging especially if you're hard of hearing.

Mike S.

Yelp
My wife and I and our best friends always have a great time eating and chatting at your fabulous restaurant. We love the great food and the relaxed atmosphere that allows for casual dining and conversation. The employees are always welcoming and make us feel at home. Yoli does a great job of with her humorous personality and making sure that everything is in tip-top shape and that we are taken care of. Thank you always!

Yelp
La mejor comida mexicana los tacos de al pastor mis favoritos El servicio muy bueno y un ambiente muy agradable

Yelp
Food: I recommend the Pollo Mole with rice and beans, absolutely delicious! Homemade sauce, reminds me just like my mom's mole sauce. Chips are warm to serve and salsa is delicious. I would also highly recommend the steak tacos! Steak flavor is out of this world and so tender. Margaritas are strong! Service: great friendly service, never had to wonder where my sever went. Ambiance: family, fun, friendly. Great music in the background.

Great food and drinks, large menu, kind and helpful staff and fun atmosphere! New fav in town

Yelp
**5 Stars: Best Margarita in Boise - If You Dare!** This place boasts the *best* margarita in Boise. What they don't mention is that one sip feels like a direct hit from a tequila tsunami. After just 1/4 of my drink, I was contemplating calling NASA to report unidentified flying objects. Couldn't even finish half of it without risking my driver's license. If you go, bring a designated driver or a sleeping bag. Cheers!

Yelp
Came here for the 1st time last night and based off the experience won't be the last...from what I can tell this is a new location for them because the other one is a run down looking building almost across the street. This one is super nice, modern and very hip. We really loved the open atmosphere and finishing touches. Immediately greeted and sat down and like any other Mexican food restaurants you might've read from me is you have to with negotiation nail the chips and salsa...Boom! Nailed it! Warm fresh chips and homemade salsa that was so delicious. I seriously would give the salsa a 5 star review. Plus our waiter asked if would like to try the spicier version...so why not while also super good and flavorful this one packs a punch so be careful. I mentioned above our waiter well his name was Isaiah and he was awesome! From the moment we sat to the moment we left he was super attentive and friendly. He absolutely made this a much more memorable experience. For dinner I had the carnitas, my wife had the chili verde enchiladas and our daughter had the carne asada. I will tell you that everyone loved their dishes and I snuck in a bite of everyone's and wound agree. My only critique is that the steak while traditional could've used some seasoning and even kicked it up a little but it was cooked perfectly. I absolutely love the simplicity of a carnitas plate because the meat is supposed to be the absolute star and it was for sure. Loved the flavor and based on the emptiness of my plate this was a home run.

Yelp
This place looks like a meh. Yet it's very nice! The server was a very nice lady. I ordered a mangonada, Didn't have much taste , wasn't spicy too. yet I did get Mango taste in there! I also did order the fajitas were amazing! I do recommend this place!

Yelp
This is one of the largest-sized restaurants I have ever seen. The murals on the walls are a nice touch. The chips and salsa were good. Not many vegetarian options since this is billed as authentic Mexican food. My wife had a veggie burrito with rice only. The beans are cooked with lard. She enjoyed it. I had the Carnitas with rice, beans, and corn tortillas. I enjoyed my meal too. Good size portions for both meals. The waitress was friendly. Prices are reasonable for today's inflation.

Yelp
A very nice place across from Hillcrest CC on Overland. Great interior, nice and clean. Wait staff was great. I had three ala cart tacos, pollo, carnitas and carne asada. Plenty of meat and toppings, with limes for a fresh squirt. They have their own hot sauce if you ask for it. It's not blazing, but the flavors in it are great. The main squeeze had the Muy Mexicano. It looked very good and I had a taste, it tasted very good as well. They have a luck menu during the week, the prices are a bit less, and maybe you get less quantity. Either way, good Mexican food that is fresh. It took about 20 minutes for our food to come out. The only bad thing I can relate to you all is the seat cushion comfort. The chairs are not comfy at all. Wish I had pics but left the camera at home.
google avatar

Ruben S.

Yelp
Great place to eat was here for the first time and as a Mexican I must say the food was amazing. I had their sope. Big portion good amount of toppings and meat.

Yelp
Unfortunately, I had gone here years ago and had a great experience, but this time I was extremely disappointed. I brought in a party of 9 on a Sunday evening which isn't a busy night, but our server acted very annoyed to have to be taking care of us. Some of our party arrived before others and she was annoyed when we asked her to bring more chips for the others that came late (and then added these said chips to our bill which we were like WTF). We had to flag her down many times just to ask for more drinks and/or water for the table. Then to top it off, none of us had meals that were very good. It was all very bland and just didn't meet expectations from my experience from Andrade's years before.

Pauline R.

Yelp
The service was very poor at this restaurant. Javier's Special #1 tacos were really good, the Mexican potatoes not so much. Enchilada sauce is very bland and watery and the Mexican rice is terrible. We would not eat here again.

Bon S.

Yelp
We just had dinner with friends at Andrade's and it was great. Everyone enjoyed the food and service. Probably the most authentic Mexican food in Boise. The service was excellent & the entire staff were really friendly. I highly recommend them was great Mexican food at a reasonable price.
google avatar

Karl A.

Yelp
This was an amazing dining experience! The entire team was helpful and knowledgeable on the menu. Great people with great attitudes. The service was fantastic! The interior of Andrade's is hip and fun. The colors and open space are easy on the eyes. The food was delicious! The chili relleños was spot on! The cheese was smooth and creamy, the deep fry job was perfection! The bean and rice would have been a fine meal by itself, but everything went so well together! Thank you Andrade's!

Yelp
The atmosphere here was neat looking but being that is is all concrete it was very loud and echoey. We were seated right away toward the back of the restaurant but didn't see our waitress for almost 10 minutes. She took our drink order and then someone came with chips and salsa. We asked for an extra salsa as we came with friends and wanted each to have our own. ( there were 4 of us) We were told it would be an additional $3 charge, we went ahead and got it. For their only being a few tables in the whole restaurant the service on everything was very slow. It took us 30+ minutes to get our food after waiting a long time to order it. When it came, it was very underwhelming. The chicken chimichanga was very dry inside and not much meat mostly beans. The Carne Asada was terrible. It was not carne asada at all, it was a poorly cut thin cut piece of meat that was mutilated and no char on it. Tasted like it was just cooked on a flat grill I couldn't even hardly cut it with the knife that they brought. When I was able to get through it, it was very rubbery and had no flavor whatsoever. The Mexican potatoes were old, dried out potatoes that tasted like they were sitting for a long time. They just added some cheese to the top and rewarmed them up. The server was nice when she happened to come over to our table but that was very rare. She was very inattentive and nowhere to be seen most of the time. You would think that with only a few tables in the restaurant (and multiple servers there) that a server would be more free to give attention to the couple of tables that she does have. We needed a few things to make our meal more enjoyable (and flavorful like some salt) but did without them because she was no where to be found. I would not recommend this place if you want some real authentic Mexican food and decent service.

Yelp
This is the best Mexican I have had in Boise .that isn't saying much. Pretty disappointed the locals had talked this place up a lot. I ordered enchiladas. They were pretty "meh" with a side of so so. The rice? Below average. The salsa. Where to begin. First off, I like very mildly check bky sauce/salsa, so this is a bit outside my tasty zone. It was also weirdly chunky, big chunks of tomatoes, onions, and something else . Bit it was like they were added as an afterthought to sauce out of a jar . It tasted ok, but nothing I super excited about. The other issues. One or the employees, not sure what his role was, just stood in the doorway to the kitchen and watched me eat. It was weird. The server also called out I didn't eat the weird chunks in the salsa. I actually wondered if she was going to get me more . It was called out in a weird, not good, way. She did bring me more with minimal chunks.. All in all I gave 2 stars for being the best of bad Mexican food, added a stat for chubkless salsa, but took one away because they charge for a 2nd basket or chips.

Yelp
Our first time at Andrade's. The interior of the restaurant is stunning! From the chandelier in front of the bar to the spacious expanse of the seating gallery, the decor is colorful and tasteful. A beautiful mural covers the wall, together with very soft music creates the ambience you expect without being gaudy or obnoxious like many Mexican restaurants. The service is impeccable, a very sweet young lady was at the entrance ready to seat us. The waitress was charming and attentive. The food was served promptly and was delicious and hot. Beautiful plating, with tasty components such as mexican potatoes with melted cheese, and best of all, refried beans that were not watered down! They tasted like pinto beans, and were warm with melted cheese in just the right amount. My husband had Especial De Javier #4, grilled, bacon wrapped prawns with peppers, onions & olives served in tortillas. He was quite happy with the dish. I enjoyed the perfect amount of heat in my chili relleno. Everything home-made, we will definitely be back!!!

Yelp
Great spot! The food and ambience was amazing. The inside was gorgeous I loved the mural on the wall. Our server was sweet and speedy!

Yelp
I've been to this restaurant many times in the past, but when my daughter came from out of state for her company, we naturally went out for Mexican food, as we both could eat Mexican food 7 days a week, so we are connoisseur of Mexican food. Andrade never disappoints. Not that their original salsa was not tasty, but I like mine spicier than most, so they special made a very good/spicy hot salsa for me. Oh and the chips were fresh and crunchy. I could have made a meal out of the chips and salsa honestly. But once my fajitas were delivered, I was blown away how good they arranged everything on the plates and the was just as good as it looked. Also instead of the standard 3 tortillas they give you 4 tortillas. That is a big deal for me cause there was so much food I ate half and took the other half home for leftovers and still had two tortillas to eat my fajitas for the following days dinner. My daughter was extremely pleased with her meal as well. I would have no guilt referring this place to anyone, the atmosphere the service and of course the crazy good food. You will not be disappointed!

Yelp
Traveling through Boise for one day and being from San Diego I was jonesing for some Mexican food and found this spot close to my hotel. WOW! Ordered the special of the day, jalapeño chicken, and was extremely impressed. Excellent spice & flavors. Great service from the staff. Price was a refreshing change from So. Cal prices. Keep up the great work (and open up a sister restaurant in San Diego).

Yelp
Delicious authentic food. Absolutely love it! Take the family here any time I'm in town.

Yelp
I'm stuck between 3 stars and 2. The decor and ambiance = nailed it! The food presentation = above average. The whole pinto beans = great The service was very, very distracted. Was literally looking away from us and at someone else the entire time we placed our order. Weird. I asked how they prepare the chile relleno taco..."is it a diced relleno that's add..." waves me off midsentence..."no, it's something else without egg" and trails off ... Uh. okay. That's it for the explanation I guess. Forgot the sour cream and guac. Okay, no biggie. I can ask for that. Asked and forgot again. :-/ Now for the food. It looked great. Probably could have been great, but ...see the other reviews by Keith A and Christine L. It was bland af. Not even a little. It was severely under seasoned and the chicken in my mother's enchilada was so dry. I appreciate whoever is responding to reviews left with critique, but please stop with the 'but we get awards'. Of course you do - you're in Boise. Please actually take a little feedback and consider that at this point, there must be some truth in these statements.

Yelp
Maravilloso! My partner and I were craving Mexican food and decided to try Andrades. Upon entering, I was struck by the festive interior of this restaurant and felt like I was in Mexico (of which I am a frequent visitor). The beautiful mural on the wall is spectacular and surrounds you with the feel of the jungle and ocean. Aside from the decor, the food was delicious! We had the Chile Relleno and awesome Cadillac margaritas. The chips prior to dinner were excellent as well - they were fresh and not overly salted. Our waitress, Linzeth was adorable and attentive. Before we departed, the owner Javier, came to our table and was a joy to talk to about his home country and his pride in his restaurant. Get your Mexican on and go support this locally owned restaurant. Ask for Linzeth (she is saving up to go on a trip to Mexico). Gracias por todo! We will be back soon!

Yelp
I came from out of town and my mom and I were excited to try this place. From the beginning service was unfriendly. My meal was ok nothing to rave about but my moms fajitas were over cooked. When we asked to sent it back the waitress just said why, the manager came over and said we still had to pay for part of the meal. No sorry no anything, as if it was our fault the meal was over cooked. Bad food, bad service not worth the hype will not go back there has to be better!
google avatar

Christine L.

Yelp
Omg the decor was absolutely adorable...the whole Mexican market thing. The food on the other hand was just edible besides the salsa which was great & the chicken that was tender. Everything needed more flav/seasoning, especially the Spanish rice that almost tasted like white rice. Our waitress was super nice snd helpful since we had never been and we appreciate that & that's why the 3 stars
google avatar

Jon F.

Yelp
Good Mexican food! Both the salsa and food had just the right amount of heat to make it taste good but not too hot. My shredded beef chimichanga was very good and my wife loved her street tacos and said the rice was also good. Our server (Shannon) did a great job of just the right amount of service. She was there enough to take good care of us, but not so much to be a pain. An overall great experience! We'll be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Great family spot! This is an awesome Mexican place in the treasure valley. They also have a value driven children's menu. Not a lot to say- just a cut above the 'average' Mexican joint in Boise. Full recommend
google avatar

Chris J.

Yelp
Hands down, the best Mexican food restaurant in Boise. The atmosphere is fun, the staff is always friendly, the food is great, and the chips and salsa are delicious. The murals on the wall and false balconies give it a really cool village feel, which I loved. The Pollo Jalapeno is SUPERB.
google avatar

Marissa S.

Yelp
I love this spot! Great for comforting, tasty Mexican food. Definitely recommend getting the specials (like the Javier) but everything I've had here is good! I love their spicy marg too. Their menu did used to be bigger but I think it perhaps had to be downsized due to Covid which is understandable. Great vibe inside and they put a crema heart on my plate--how did they know sour cream is one of my love languages?! Regardless, the feeling is mutual

Yelp
Came on a Thursday night around 5:30pm. Was already busy but plenty of parking and they have an extra dining room up front so they can accommodate a lot of folks. Greeted soon after arriving, seated and brought water immediately. They give you chips, small bowls of refried beans and an excellent house made salsa with nice big chunks of tomato. I'm a sucker for a salsa bar and they deliver! Five kinds of salsa from mild to very hot. I like heat and the hot was serious as was the very hot - use with caution. I liked that they have different kinds - one of the hot was a verde with cilantro and roasted peppers, another was more jalapeño, another a red sauce, just a great variety. Horchata is made in house and had a good taste - excellent for cooling off from the salsas. I had the two sopes and they can do one of each flavor. The chorizo and potato was delicious and well flavored. The steak was nicely spiced but a bit overcooked at too low a temperature - you want more grilled flavor and some crispy bits, but it was fine. I was very disappointed with the mass of the sope itself - I wanted it grilled and crispy but it was undercooked, not crispy and tasted like it was frozen, not a good flavor. I wanted to try the pozole but they don't do a cup, only the large portion. Service was excellent, friendly and efficient. Overall a great choice for a tasty Mexican feast.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch today. Service from Kiribati was outstanding. The food came out very quickly. I ordered the Chimichanga and it was great. I highly recommend if in the area.

Yelp
I've tried this restaurant a few times and the food is decent but it never seems to impress me. It does get the job done though as they are good sized helpings. They have always offered a good atmosphere and great service though which is why they get a four star.

Yelp
We went for Valentines dinner here. We didn't know they where having a special menu only for vday. $21 dollars a person it came with an appetizer, soup or salad, main dish and dessert. They had a good quality of opinions for the main dish. They also had special drinks for the occasion. The place its so cute and social distance is very much in place. We absolutely had a great time dinning in. Food was great service was amazing. We enjoyed our visit for sure.

Yelp
i was transported to MEXICO! my favorite mexican restaurant around. service was fast, but not so fast that you feel rushed. drinks were great and so was food. no complaints and will continue to come back time and time again.

Yelp
I'm here on Saturday March 13 2021. The new place is horrible. So loud. Lacks the cozy fun Mexican feeling. Sadly I think they're understaffed that's why I asked for napkins three times and still don't have any. Salad served with no utensils.
