The 33 Best Restaurants in Bogotá, Colombia | Eater

"This place’s fame surpasses borders, and for good reason. It specializes in grilled meats and typical Colombian dishes: Plan to share so that you can sample the arepas de choclo (sweet corn cakes), papas criolla (Colombian potatoes), chicharrones, lomo al trapo (cloth-wrapped grilled beef), and plátano maduro relleno de queso y bocadillo (baked plantains stuffed with cheese and guava). The rest is pure fun: live music, over-the-top decor, and improv actors. If you want to party, Saturday is the best night (and the toughest reservation). It’s well worth the 45-minute drive to Chía for the true experience in one of Colombia’s most unique restaurants, though the Bogotá location will give you a good approximation of the original." - Liliana López Sorzano

Great Colombian stop at the airport! Andrés Carne de Res at El Dorado is a fun and tasty way to enjoy Colombian food before a flight. The empanadas, chicharrón with arepa, and arepa de choclo with cheese were delicious, and the refajo was refreshing. Service was quick and friendly, and the vibrant atmosphere makes it feel like a little piece of the original restaurant inside the airport.

Exceptional Service at Andrés Plaza de Reyes – El Dorado Airport, Bogotá I had an outstanding experience at Andrés Plaza de Reyes inside El Dorado Airport. With a flight scheduled at 2:00 p.m., we walked into the restaurant at 1:00 p.m. feeling unsure if we’d have enough time. But the staff welcomed us with a relaxed smile and said, “Don’t worry, come.” And they meant it. Within 10 minutes, our food was already served—before we even placed the full order! We added tostones with sauce on the spot, and they brought it within a minute. Truly impressive speed and attentiveness. I ordered the tenderloin grill, and it was simply amazing. Flavorful, juicy, perfectly cooked. The service was top-tier, and the meal was absolutely worth it. As my son put it: “They deserve 100 stars!” – and I couldn’t agree more. Highly recommended if you’re traveling through Bogotá or visiting any Andrés Carne de Res location in Colombia. Great food, lightning-fast service, and friendly vibes all around. Thumbs up from a happy Google reviewer! 👍

For just 20,000 COP (≈ $5 USD), we had a tasty breakfast with eggs your way, fruit, bread, and Colombian coffee. The food was fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly affordable for an airport. A great budget-friendly spot to grab a real Colombian bite before your flight.

We ate here twice during a layover in Bogotá. It wasn’t as pricey as other places in the airport and my friend and I both enjoyed our meals. A highlight were the Colombian empanadas.

I was starving and wanted to eat something tasty at the airport. I had lunch and it was filling. The calentado with red beans was great. The service is a bit slow so if you’re on a rush make sure to check what’s dish is cooked faster and order the bill as soon as you can.

The food was so good and came out really fast. The service was all also very helpful and spoke English. We also got left at 12 and they were still open

Had brunch here before our flight. I had arepa de chócolo and eggs with hot cocoa. It was delicious. My husband told me this restaurant is popular in Colombia so, I tried them. He said they were a bit expensive but the food was good. I would love to come back and dine again.

Food took A LONG TIME to arrive, burgers almost looked like sliders, only one patacón was offered and the bandeja paisa can improve. We hope our next experience of Andres Carne de Res @ Aeropuerto el Dorado is better than this experience. There is room to improve, and the service is SUPER SLOW
