First hair salon I’ve visited in LA and I’m super happy with the results! Maddy/Maddie did a perfect job with my highlights and I love the colour! I left the salon with my hair still feeling healthy and soft. Julian also did an amazing job styling my hair for my event that evening, I got so many compliments! I will definitely be back :) :)

Andy Lecompte the KING of HAIR!! Your cuts make me feel cool. Rare to find a hairdresser who actually listens and creates a look that enhances everything about you. Thank you, I always leave with a spring in my step. If you are lucky enough to get a cut by Andy, take it!!!

I have been coming to Andy LeCompte Salon for the past couple years. I’ve been going to Jesse and he’s been extremely helpful in helping me grow out my hair after loosing it during chemo. Every visit I feel like he takes the time to look at where my hair is and how it’s growing out and how it will look best. I’ve always felt everyone has been kind and courteous and I’ve been very happy with the service I get here. I went in today for a last-minute haircut before I am leaving the area next week after loosing my home in a wildfire. I can’t even tell you how kind and thoughtful the manager was as well as the front desk staff. I’ve enjoyed going to the salon for two years and I was blown away at how kind everyone was today. I Would highly recommend going here. And yes, it’s LA prices, but we are in LA after all. And you get what you pay for, I’ve always walked away being happy here.

Watch out for Scotty - 50/50 chance he cancels on you last minute (literally on the drive there multiple times) or chops way too much off even after repeat visits where you have given feedback. I use to love this studio but working with Scotty left me with a bad taste. Not worth the $$$.

GO TO MECHE SALON they will FRY YOUR HAIR OFF at Andy Lecompte (ESPECIALLY AVOID ISIAH and the older male Hairstylist with long hair) and then do nothing to fix it. Literally worst experience of my life especially to have the stylist act like a snob the entire time. So grossed out by the behavior and subpar performance. I’ve gotten better highlights at fantastic Sam’s and paid less 🤮

My hair colorist (Melinda) and cutter (Glenn) are amazing. UNFORTUNATELY, the salon and its managerial staff need signifiant improvement. The salon is freezing cold The music is too loud. The manager (Sasha) is dismissive, rude, and defensive. After spending $900 - I walked out with the sniffles, a headache, and wet hair. What an unpleasant experience at a very expensive hair salon. In response to your reply : a) my hair was wet underneath (and my blow dry by Glenn was canceled because he left the salon before my appointment (despite me scheduling my cut and color according to his schedule), b) your alternative colorist was one note and unable to do color my hair according to my request, c) the temperature is too cold for your clients who are wearing smocks and have wet hair - Natasha offered me a blanket after the fact so I suspect I am not the only one who finds the salon too cold - another client who was freezing also got a smock to warm her up so I guess there were no blankets available - staff (including Natasha who was wearing a cashmere sweater and coat) wear jackets and sweaters because they are freezing, and d) Natasha said Andy likes the salon cold and loud like an adult Disney Land...altho I have not ever seen him at the salon. Enjoy!

Top quality colorists and stylist to the stars. Can you put a price on perfection? The complimentary iced coffee is divine, and pastries are available just around the corner.

I’ve never looked forward to going to the salon so much. It’s like a breath of fresh air. Jesse Alexandre not only gives the best haircuts imaginable, but he actually asks you questions about your life and seems genuinely curious. I live in Santa Monica but drive here for the unmatched cut and just the vibe.

Terrible experience. Booked with Natalie for 2:00 appt. Get three or four text messages asking me to confirm or reminding me. I show up on time. "Natalie's running 25 minutes late". Gee how about a text letting clients know you're running late. When punctuality is demanded but not given, you can be sure that they are not interested in customer welfare.

Love this salon. Have been going here forever 10 plus year. Have been seeing Jesse for haircuts and he's amazing . He's also very kind and easygoing. He listens and is attentive. I felt totally comfortable from the first time he met. He's an amazing stylist and just a good person :) love him.

Christopher Pierce has been coloring my hair for a couple years now and he is the best! I went to another colorist prior and wasn't happy with her work. I was lucky enough to be referred to by Chris and he did a great job on my hair color. I instantly got a confidence boost after he did my hair color. He has a great eye and listens to me when I tell him whether I would like to go darker or lighter and he always points me in the right direction. The best compliment I receive is when I am out in public and I receive a compliment on my hair. Thank you Chris!

The colorist George is arrogant & highly unprofessional. He only talks to you to tell you about himself, the names of his celebrity clients, and how rich he is (he owns 30 properties and bought his first place in 2013 for 1.2 million. No, I didn't ask, he just vomits out info that has nothing to do with me, a new customer, or service being provided). You get your hair colored to feel good. But even a burger on a food assembly line has someone check for quality and wraps it up. Not George. Even when i asked his asst if he could check my color after the shampoo bowl, i was told "we are just so busy". This was my first time seeing him & I expected that he would care about his work and me. Message received. You are too busy to keep me as a client who has been getting a great haircut since the doors opened in 2008. Oh and the charge to leave the salon with wet hair is $900. The entire experience was gross.

I have been going here since two months since it opened. Melinda is the absolute best colorist!! I have been to other colorists and she is without a doubt the best!!! I get so many compliments about my color. Anthony does my Brazilian and he is the greatest. I have been to others but they don't compare to Anthony. My hair is silky and straight. Jesse is my stylist along with Andy. They are the very best!! My haircut always gets compliments. I love this salon. I have been to other salons but none of them compare to Andy Lecompte. All the staff is friendly and accommodating. It is a gold star!!!

Bianca has been my colorist since September 2022 and I couldn't be more happy with the results each time! I was nervous about doing color for the first time and she's managed to pull off such a vibrant and deep red (and without bleach)! She's super talented -- it's clearly evident in her portfolio and also the people she mentors. Sandra, her assistant, is also very good at what she does and they're both so sweet!

I have never had such a beautiful haircut before, my hair was really damaged and Jesse did miracles! Without shortening my hair significantly ,he was able to remove all the dead parts . My hair feels so healthy and very smooth to touch and looks very very shiny . He is very professional and very sweet.I will definitely go back and recommend him to all my friends . Everyone who worked there was super nice .

I went to Jesse (first time) and got exactly what I hoped for! He was so personable, really listened when I explained what I was looking for and the quality of the cut is something I have not had in YEARS! So happy I took a chance on trying a new salon. I would highly recommend Jesse and Andy Lecompte Salon. I have tried a few other high end salons in the last couple of years and the experience was stressful and not worth it. This salon still cares about giving clients a great experience.

Bianca is hands down the BEST colorist and balayage artist. Before finding her years ago I had been to almost every other "top" LA salon and walked away with mediocre results. Bianca consistently achieves the most beautiful color and placement, and keeps my hair healthy and strong. Jesse has been cutting my hair for the past year and does an amazing job. I wish he could blow dry and style my hair everyday. I'm so lucky to have this dream team and wouldn't let anyone else touch my hair. Highly recommend both of these masterful artists!

I started seeing Bianca within the last year and she has literally saved my hair! It had so much bleach damage and breakage from my past colorist and I was ready to give up on my blonde highlights altogether. I started seeing Bianca and she's been able to get me back to normal and on my way back to blonde! I haven't seen my hair this long and healthy in a longggggg time!

Melinda was referred to me by a friend and I am so thrilled to have met her. she's been doing my hair color now for about two years and is by far the best colorist I have found! Finally! She really listens and I value and trust her input. I have exactly what I want which is "warm golden blond with depth and interest." She has a really good taste level. I notice too that while I want a natural look and I've seen other clients of hers with a natural look, she does offbeat colors really well too. So a versatile artist. My hair has never been healthier. She endeavors to maintain hair quality. She's helpful with aftercare products and any tweaks you may want. Always fun, upbeat, warm and professional! I went to Bianca for a color correction and I couldn't recommend her enough. She was very clear about the process and set appropriate expectations with me in terms of how much time I would be at the salon. Additionally, she was able to squeeze me in earlier than my original appointment time due to a cancellation. All of her assistants are super friendly and very communicative. Book now as she is busy! :)

I have been coming to Andy LeCompte for 8 years now and I always leave very happy and satisfied with the final results. I never even thought of reviewing the salon but then Chris touched my hair in 2019 for the first time and made me speechless. He gave me the exact color I have been wanting to get since 2013. He is my color guru, the best hair colorist EVER! There are many good hair artists out there but if you want to pick the best look at their brown hues since those are the hardest to achieve graciously. Oh and his assistant Aden has a way of making everything much more better:) L'chaim

Been hesitant about trying a new professional and salon in LA. Couldn't be happier I dove in! Funny how it started by algorithms and simply being amused by the work/content of Bianca digitally. Thank you technology, and thank you Bianca! She is real, and she is a true gem with heavy talent. One year later, one year invested with Bianca...I am here to express my gratitude and tell the public she is legit. If you are in the market for a professional colorist, may I suggest Bianca? Note, the woman is busy busy, but not to worry, the front desk is super helpful with getting you on the schedule.

BIANCA is THE BEST!!! She is incredibly talented and the best master hair colorist I have met in LA. On top of her amazing talent, she is one of the funniest and most real people I know. When I first connected with her, she was unbelievably helpful and I didn't even know at the time how in demand she really was, so when I finally met her, I couldn't believe how much time and effort she put in to helping me! I love the ambiance of this salon! There are a wide range of great personalities all around and I love going here to get my hair done. Not only is the salon great... but Bianca is by far the best colorist in the game! You can definitely tell she has a passion for hair and beauty. She knows exactly the color / shade I am going for and nails it every time! She's easy to talk to and has a great sense of humor.

KEVIN! Not only is Kevin talented and experienced, but he is funny and makes the whole haircut feel like you're talking to a good friend. The salon is clean and high end - I would trust any of the stylist there with my hair.

Gardner is a life saver! I've been struggling with my hair for a while now and have tried what feels like every stylist in the city but was never fully satisfied. Gardner gave me the best haircut I've ever had. His expertise is evident and I'd recommend him to anyone!

Bianca is a bully to her assistants, greedy bee who convinces you to get multiple sessions under pretense of achieving quality, overbooks herself through the nose and does not get close to what she promised. Also this raggedy salon will let you leave with wet hair after spending $800+ because drying your hair is separate "styling" in their books but they give you the option to dry it yourself with a blow dryer lol. Worst, absolutely the worst. Sally Hershberger is much much better, night and day.

A word to the wise... just because a salon is located in a posh area, has celeb clients and hip-looking stylists does NOT mean that you will walk out with fantasy hair. I learned this the hard way. And to be honest, I hesitated about writing this review, but I thought it would be helpful to the community to know about my unfortunate experience here because there was such a distinct discrepancy between my expectations and the actual result. I found Andy LeCompte Salon through online research and went for a trim. It was a reasonably good experience so I decided to return for a haircut months later (this time with a different stylist because the previous one I saw was not available). I was hoping to have found my go-to salon but the second stylist I saw did not even shampoo or style my hair and basically butchered it. I was in shock when I left--I can't believe I even paid for it. Someone I saw later in the day told me that my hair looked haphazardly cut in the back and took a picture to show me. It was then that I called the salon, nearly in tears, asking for it to be fixed at no extra charge. To my dismay, I was given the same stylist. He apologized and attempted to fix my hair but it was clear that he did not have the technical skills to properly cut my hair. I am sure that if I had long wavy hair it would've disguised this fact but my hair was mid length and stick-straight so every snip of the scissor was revealed. It looked like amateur hour at beauty school. I was LIVID but left gracefully vowing never ever to return. I was not about to have another stylist "fix" the further damage and end up with a chin-length bob. It is an extremely hard process to find the right stylist and randomly matching with the wrong one can set your hair back for months, as it did in my case. Everything about this salon looks glossy on the surface until you end up with a bad haircut. See Exhibit A:

George has been coloring my hair for many years now and I have failed to find anyone as talented as him in my hometown. I drive 1-2hrs, depending on traffic, to see him a few times a year and it is always worth the drive. My hair looks and feels amazing. He's just an extremely talented individual that makes you feel comfortable in his chair. He is professional and has a very strong work ethic. Cristina is also great for cut and gives a killer blow dry. I highly recommend them both. I also appreciate that in the 10+ years I've been coming here, they haven't moved salons. I'm very happy with my hair dream team and this salon and will continue to come here to upkeep the fabulous, modern and chic hair that I always leave the salon with.

It's literally the worst cut and color I've ever had. Cost almost $1,000, and I'm going to need color correction. Note: I was never asked if I liked it. My colorist was in the chair, getting her own hair done before my hair was dry. They barely trimmed my bangs. The entire cut took less than 5 minutes. I'd post a picture, but it's too embarrassing.

Bianca is the best. I first went to see her years ago after a hair disaster at another salon. Rather than do something drastic to get my hair back in one session, Bianca had a thoughtful plan to maintain the health of my hair and over all hair color goal. After a few appointments, we got there and my hair has looked amazing ever since. Every visit, Bianca takes her time to discuss what my hair color goal is and to give me her thoughts. And every time, I leave with the most gorgeous, natural hair color (she even indulges me when I ask her every single time if it looks brassy. Haha. It never does). Even though Bianca is a "celebrity hairstylist", she has no pretension. Rather, she is thoughtful, professional, and kind, and always makes me feel heard and prioritized. I'll never go to anyone else again. Thank you, Bianca!

i was very disappointed at my long term hairdresser and colorist so felt like I needed a change -after much research I went out on a limb {unlike me) and without knowing any friends who had been before used MADISON for my color .She did an incredible job. Madison then recommended JESSE for my cut-and trust me he had a mess to fix-and he then did an incredible job . This duo are not cheap but in my opinion worth every $$$. How your hair looks is a huge part of how you feel; they took time with me and were so kind and caring . The salon is clean and pretty ...I'm sending my friends it's deserved ...

Bianca is hands down the best colorist I have ever been too. She knows how to create the perfect mix of glam but at the same time it looks completely natural. She really listens to what you want and expertly executes your vision. She is extremely talented, and a complete doll at the same time!

I'm so glad I found Bianca. I was searching a long time for someone who understands my vision of effortless, dimensional blonde balayage the same way she does. Bianca is a true master colorist. She takes her work seriously and you really feel like you're in great hands when you're in the chair. Her technique is state of the art and the whole experience is world class. I have never left the salon feeling anything less than completely blow away. I get compliments for months on my hair. I no longer live in LA and plan my trips back around seeing Bianca (seriously never thought I would be THAT person!) Bonus - she's funny, relatable and tells great stories xx

I can't rave enough about Bianca's magical powers over my hair. She makes my locks look like those of a blonde toddler who has been playing in the sun all summer. I'm so excited every time I come to the salon, because of the amazing head massages and special treatment. You will feel like royalty

My natural hair color is black. Bianca and I have done all over color from black to blonde, and now we do Baylayage highlights. She always, always gets the color right and keeps notes on the formula. Her placement of the highlights is masterful -- they're so well blended. I love the way my hair looks when it moves, and the highlights frame my face so well. On top of the actual amazing color she does, Bianca is so knowledgeable about the entire process. She even teaches other even other colorists. Bianca took the time to answer all my questions when we first started, and has always recommended products that are best for my hair type and for preserving the color. The salon itself is nice and I like the iced coffee.

A bunch of my friends (with great hair) see Bianca regularly so I finally came in for blonde highlights...she is amazing with color and toner. My hair came out perfect - from bleach placement to color and brightness. So happy and pleased :) Also, so impressed with the service here. I had a great experience...not to mention the complimentary teas and iced coffees are to die for. Ill be back!!

From out of town and hair lady from home is far away. Went to Madi M for highlights and LOVE!!!!!!!! She did my blonde highlights perfectly and was so sweet. Would recommend to anyone, it's clear she cares about her clients.

When I booked a partial, I didn't expect to be there 5 1/2 hours. I thought this salon had a good reputation, but it truly looked like not one person in there knew what they were doing. My hair is already blonde, all I wanted was for my highlights to be brought up. The colorist told me my hair was streaky and repeatedly trash talked the job my previous stylist had done. She also didn't believe in using foils, likely why it took 5 1/2 hours when it normally takes 2. Then my color finally gets washed and guess what? It's brassy. But at that point I did not want to stay for them to fix it and just left. Really angry I wasted my money here.

Bianca is the absolute BEST. She balayaged my hair and created a natural sun-kissed look. I trust her with all of my heart! The only colorist I will go to in LA. Thank you Bianca!

William Clark is the most talented hair stylist I've ever worked with. Lucky to have been referred to him by a friend in the modeling industry. Every cut is to perfection and followed by loads of compliments from friends & strangers. I don't know what I would do without him!

I have gone to Maddie to get my hair done since she was in hair school, moved out to CA in 2005 and always went back to AZ to get colored by her. I was so excited when she relocated to CA. Her work speaks for itself, she listens to what you want and the end result is always great! She is always in the know of new techniques and suggesting new things. I trust her 100% and would recommend her to anyone.

I had been thinking about getting highlights for quite some time, but I waited years because I'm so picky about how highlights look on dark brunette hair. I finally came across @biancacolour on IG and loved her work so I contacted her to start discussing what would work best for me. She is so responsive, so informative and just knows what will work best for your specific needs/wants. I had dark brunette (almost black) virgin hair and asked her for more dimensional, lighter colour - a "my hair but on steroids" kind of a look. She understood exactly what I wanted. She and her assistant Madi were incredible! They made my first colour experience so fun and so comfortable. True dream team!! I absolutely love my hair. I only wish I found Bianca sooner.

I cannot speak highly enough of Melinda's color skills--I'm amazed at what she did! I came in after having my hair really badly colored somewhere else. It was orange tinted, flatly colored, and just really bad looking. Melinda took her time, and really paid attention to detail. She did a perfect job, and completely exceeded my expectations. I won't be going anywhere else!!

Just had my first haircut with Michael Sparks and i could not be happier. Michael listened exactly to what I wanted and gave me an "updated" version of my same old hair do. Making me feel comfortable with the change all while giving me a new look. His assistant Kristen is also so sweet. So glad I found him!

While I had already visited and followed my stylist from NY Glenn Ellis , he helped me navigate a colorist since I don't know one person who would dare leave theirs but since I am permanently here I had to find one here and thankfully he helped me a give that first shot George . Yes it was a new west coast color and cut so yes I had to be patient but the end result really turned heads . I'm sure most can understand with reluctant mind set I came in but then thought I 1000% trust glen he has been on point even times where I wanted some more adjustment very accommodating and so why not I desperately needed me time holiday time was the perfect time to feel amazing kudos to you George as my go to stylist Glen and have to mention all the helpful assistants with great hands and a good laugh . Done deal got my G's George and Glen . Happy holidays !

I wasn't going to write a review but since I've never heard back from the Salon after I told them what happened I figured I should leave a review. I got my hair colored by George and they completely ruined my hair. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and it wasn't even close. When I left the Salon my hair was so damaged from the bleach it was breaking off! The next morning I had severe burns on my ears and scalp because they left the bleach on for way too long. I even had to go to Urgent Care to make sure the Chemical Burns I had didn't scar.. When I called the salon and told them, they did nothing about it. Not even a call back apologizing for what happened. George and his team completely ruined my hair.. I went to Emily at Memo salon to get it fixed.

Bianca is AMAZING!! I was a blonde until I graduated college and slowly but surely brown was all that came in after that. I am also a low maintenance kind of person and after telling Bianca what I had envisioned and a dozen pictures of gorgeous blondes plus a short convo about how often I wanted to come in, I left it up to her to do her magic. She is truly an artist with color, she listens to her clients and she produces the most natural blonds I have I ever seen!

I've been seeing Bianca for a few years now and haven't had anyone else touch my hair since. Since the beginning she asked me what my hair goals were and has been delivering in every session. My hair has stayed healthy and she listens and recommends depending on my specific hair needs. She always has a great attitude and I always leave with a smile on my face . (They also give me iced coffee which is only the cherry on top).

I didn't have a great experience but I know there are lots of stylists that work at this spot, and different hair goals for the customers, so others may love this salon... I had 2 phone conversations with people at the salon after making my appt to confirm that I wanted all over hair lightening (taking my brown hair blonder). The morning of my appt I got a call from the receptionist saying the stylist no longer has time for my appt because she has evening plans, but I probably just want highlights which she would have time for. She was sort of rude but later apologized when I was in person. My hair looked nothing like the reference photos I showed the stylist by the end but after so many hours I wanted to be done so I left. I know lightening hair is probably very hard and nothing is guaranteed- but I did not like my hair and paid a massive amount (still tipped 20%, I'm not a monster). Very unlikely I would The end!

I've been coming to see Bianca for 4 years now. She is the absolute best at balayage highlights, hands down. She can look at your skin tone and understand how ashy or warm your color should be to get natural looking highlights and it grows out SO WELL. I have olive skin so I was nervous to go very blonde in the beginning but she nails it every time. Also the salon is super cute and you MUST get their iced coffee while you're in the chair, I'm obsessed.

This review is for Bianca Hillier and the absolute magic she works. I've been seeing Bianca for over three years, and I swear I would follow her anywhere. If she moved cross-country I would fly to wherever she is! I'm half asian, and few colorists understand how to work with my type of hair. It's extremely dark and there's a lot of it from my asian side, but each individual hair is weak and fine from my white side. Bianca knows how to lift the color gently yet effectively to achieve the perfect golden blonde. This level of understanding is hard to come by, and I'd pay through the nose to get it. Bianca is also incredibly kind and honest. She'll tell you if your expectations are unreasonable, but she'll offer a solution about how to get you the results you want. I trust her to be straightforward with me and not make promises she can't keep. If you're looking for the best in the business, go to Bianca!

Terrible. Absolutely horrific job. They butchered my hair and then I ended up with multiple cuts in my neck. The woman who cut my hair clearly had no idea how to cut a mans hair. After the fact I ended up having to pay 100$ for a trim, I barely have any hair. This place is overpriced and not worth the money at all. I would not recommend going to get your hair cut here. SUCKS.

I've had the pleasure to get may hair done by Scott Cunha, Daniel Moon, and George Papanikolas. It's a pricy salon but I rather have a pair of designer shoes that ugly hair. I always save up to go see these gentlemen!:-) Scott gives you the best hair cut and layers you can ask for. I have a lot of hair but that doesn't stop him from washing, cutting, and styling in 56 min. to be exact. Although he doesn't engage in conversation with you but he knows how to get his job done. I wish he would spent more time talking to me than to other stylist around him. However, that's a minor thing since every time I leave his chair I'm super happy, content and I'm in and out in no time!:-) My first experience with George was not the greatest. Although I left the salon happy but I had to wait three hours to be seated and another 30 min. till he finally start working on my hair. Apparently that was busy day for him and his assistant said he usually run a tight ship. I also end up leaving the salon with a $50 parking ticket. His assistant would put money in the meter for me but he forgot to keep track of time which he had reassured me he would. So if they ever offer to put money in the meter for you, make sure to take the responsibility to keep the time. Georgewas very nice and engaging and afterwards I received a thank you card from him and his staff. Very thoughtful! However I didn't want to go through the same experience and spent hours at the salon so I decided to switched my colorist. Daniel is awesome!! He is friendly, carrying and most importantly on time! I was first skeptical to try him out since most of his work is around funky colors. After much research I decided to give it try. I though if he can do purple, pink, and blue he must know how to ombre. And he sure did! I've been there twice and I've included pictures so you can see his work. The second time I had to go back cause the highlights were little brassy but he sure did fix it. Is not as blonde I wanted to be but it suit the season. The staff are friendly and they try to make your experience pleasant! I only wish they had parking. You can either park at the meter or pay $12.00 for whole day parking pass cross the street.
