London’s New Restaurant Openings

"Another week, another new burger spot. Andy’s Burgers in Walthamstow looks to be a straightforward setup with beef, falafel, mushroom, and fried chicken options. You can customise your toppings, choosing from tobacco onions, piquanté pepper, beef bacon, and more. There’s also a huge sauce list that includes jerk, chilli jam, truffle mayo, and red pepper tab. It’s halal too." - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

Food was amazing but I did not take any pictures, we ordered: Classic fried chicken (10/10) Beef burgers (10/10) We also had the ginger beers and it was really nice and so was the french fries! Thanks to Nathan and the chef, they have a good vibe and were playing cheerful/calm music in the restaurant.

Restaurant was clean. Service was fast. Staff were exceptionally polite & professional. The Younus burger, truffle burger & build your own beef smash burgers were all cooked perfectly & complimented well by the sauces & toppings. The buns were just right and held the burgers together without getting soggy. The chips were similar to Five Guys... not from frozen, very fresh and crispy (unlike most burger/chicken places!). The chicken tenders were also seasoned & cooked to perfection. The beef & the chicken loaded fries were tasty and well balanced. Mac & cheese bites were light & crispy with a superb cheese sauce filling. Selection of drinks was great too. Overall, my family & I would highly recommend this place and definitely come back.

First time going there and was disappointed. Order beef burger which should have come with pickle, fried onion, and is no was it looks in the picture.I was asked if I would like cheese which I was changed 50p for, the only thing in the burge was sauce and 1 leaf of lettce. The chips were nice chilli and chipolata sauce, and I don't usually leave a negative review, but the number that they have on Google is a mobile number that was going to voice mail.. I called 4 times. They guys servicing were nice..

The burgers were absolutely delicious, and the skin-on fries with rosemary were amazing, these guys know what they're doing and it's clear how passionate they are about it, which is hard to come by right now. Why go to Five Guys or McDonald's when this place is right next door, better quality, and much better value (although still fairly expensive). The service was great too in terms of attitude, though I think they could do with being more consistent with the accuracy of orders. I didn’t catch the guy's name (I'm hoping Andy?), but he offered us a refreshing ice-cold mojito while we waited, which really hit the spot on a hot day. Highly recommended hidden gem at the chaotic end of Hoe Street.

I really enjoyed the food from here, having read good things online, and I'm glad I popped in. Occupying a prime spot on Hoe Street a few doors down from McDonald's, previously occupied by Naan Stap, before they well and truly stopped trading. Andy's unashamedly models itself on Five Guys, with the latter's influence evident in everything from the restaurant's red and white aesthetic, the menu choices, and the unbelievable amount of toppings to choose from, and it goes without saying that everything is cooked fresh and from scratch. You may wait a few minutes longer than at some places, but it's worth it, and the service was extremely friendly and attentive. The food is better than at Five Guys, and the prices are amongst the best value for a burger joint in Walthamstow, of which there are far too many, in 2025. The grandfather of all these type of restaurants, MeatLiquor, where I first went in 2010, remains my favourite. The chicken burger was very good, with a seasoned panko-like coating and the skin-on fries were perfectly crispy, but the highlight was the double beef burger, which is as good a burger as I have had in 10 years. Great home-made hot sauce was provided in a container. Soft drinks were good, but a little sweet for my liking. The lack of any napkins in the bag for my takeaway order is my only criticism. Would recommend this place 100%, and I'll be back.

The best mushroom burger I've had. Really nice texture to the patty, I usually hate mushroom burgers because they tend to just be a massive wet unseasoned mushroom but this was made with care, lovely seasoning and miso vegan mayo in the bun was a great touch. Tomato and salad would have brought up the score but the flavour was excellent so I can't complain.

Came here with high expectations but the experience was nothing more than average. The menu was complicated. The food was fresh but the loaded fries were dry & tasteless. We paid extra for the unlimited toppings in the burgers which were barely noticeable. The staff were polite. Overall the food was overpriced for what it was.

Fantastic food, drinks and sauce's. Reasonable prices. Small wait on food as all freshly made. Definitely worth the wait. Same quality and service as the 1st store offers. Highly recommend to try. More locations needed.
