Andy's Grille

Absolutely addicted to their pancakes! We've had them 3 times in the last 10 days. They come already buttered with generous sides of syrup. I love the drive thru! Makes is so convenient to get really amazing food at a reasonable price! I'm excited to try other options, but those pancakes keep calling my name!

I went through there this morning since it has been a really long time I have a an American burrito. I used to come here a lot in the mornings due to working nearby. Things change. I got a new job and can't go regularly in the morning hardly at all. I do make a point of going in the evenings often my kid loves the cheese fries and cheese sticks. The young gentleman and ladies in the evening and morning are wonderful! As for today it wasn't the the greatest experience. I absolutely do NOT like American cheese! I ordered the American burrito at the drive thru specifically said " Can I have an American Burrito I don't not want American cheese can you please put mozzarella on the burrito instead, add onion, and substitute for turkey sausage" I had enough time before having to drive 30 minutes away to my job settle to find out there's American cheese! To look forward to something you haven't had in awhile made extra time to get there before work and see this orange cheese through my burrito. Horrible and disappointing. I normally let things go even if mistakes happen this isn't the first time it has happened and today I decided to call. I was told oh im sorry I try to watch the guys and their hands and do the best I can to watch them. The owner then asked if I can hang on to it until tomorrow. I said Unfortunately, "I don't usually even have the time to make it in the mornings."I open at my job the next few week and won't be able make it to get another burrito tomorrow. So now I sit here thinking sure I can hold it. Though now I won't have breakfast. I take meds and need to eat with it. So I can pick around the cheese and eat it with fork. I paid 13 dollars for crap, paid extra for additional things and didn't get mozzarella cheese.. When i called all I got from the owner was oh im sorry i try to watch them. No offer for a replacement for another day is insane! I have weekends off I would have picked up a replacement burrito and bought the rest of my family breakfast at the same time. Therfore still making money on your end. You as an business owner should do better that is horrible and horrible customer service! I would have expected better from you and your business. You will no longer receive money from me and I will never be a regular at your establishment. My kid can enjoy his nightly cheese sticks and cheese fries at another business that will appreciate my money. Mr.submarine is great! Thankfully I have realtionships created at more greatful establishments. Other than here. It's a shame because I live close and now they have lost all my business for the evenings.This is also coming from a former Manager.THANK YOU TO THE YOUNG KID IN THE EVENINGS WHO WAS ALWAYS NICE ALONG WITH THE OTHER TWO LADIES KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK AND SMILES YOU GAVE EVERYTIME I CAME THROUGH. OWNER DO BETTER WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR CUSTOMERS AND FOOD RELATED ISSUES! COMPENSATION FOR ANOTHER DAY NOT THE NEXT DAY AND JUST TAKE THE HIT WITH YOUR MISTAKES! A FOOD REPLACEMENT WITHOUT THE FOOD SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED! I CAN'T GO WITHOUT EATING. I REPEAT DO BETTER! ASK FOR PICTURES OF YOUR MISTAKES! NOW I GET PUNISHED FOR YOUR BUSINESS AND THEIR MISTAKES! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!

I order a bacon egg and cheese and my partner ordered a burrito that he raves about til this day. We were in and out that’s how on point their service was. I enjoyed my bacon egg and cheese, but my bacon was kinda too crispy. I still would come here again. Also we didn’t sit and eat so I can’t really tell you about the atmosphere.

Absolutely phenomenal meal. So many awesome things on the menu to choose from. Everything we got was amazing. Things are fresh grilled and dropped per order. Lots of booth seating and has a drive through as well. Will definitely make this a place to stop on my next time passing through.

Great place, fast, friendly, good food and portion sizes. Clean, trendy for locals, and does have a drive thru. Frozen custard is AMAZING 😋

Updated 1/23/04 Love this place. It’s hard to describe but you know when you eat a meal that’s cooked with pride. I never miss an opportunity to eat here when in town. Had the Perch tonight….delicious!!!! Excellent comfort food in a welcoming and friendly environment. Great customer service. Make to order kitchen. Excellent!! I’ve eaten here for every meal. Great value and taste. It’s a pleasure to support small businesses.

Did the drive through for breakfast. Hot, fresh and so tasty! Had the pancakes, scrambled eggs and well done bacon. Large portions. Amazing food. Loved the pancakes.

First time here. Ask the cashier what she suggested. She suggested a chicken pita with mozzarella bacon and Giardiniera. I went for it and I’m glad I did. It was amazing. Definitely going back.

I was in the neighborhood, and I was looking for a restaurant I can check out in the early morning breakfast hours. And I came across Andy's Grille and frozen custard. The eating area is clean and roomy, with a tv for entertainment while you wait for your order or dine in. The customer service was nice and polite. The cooks on the grill move quick, because my wait time for my order was short. I ordered the Fish & Chips dinner. It didn't come with a pop, for the side note. The batter on the fish wasn't bad. Just needed some more seasonings added to the batter to give it more flavor, but overall it wasn't bad. From what I observed, this place is good for the breakfast options. I also ordered a cheese burger, to see if it was worth it. And in my opinion it didn't meet my approval. I am interested in trying their Gyro plate. So I will be back to try that. I recommend others to check this place if you're looking for breakfast early morning.

Ate here this morning for breakfast was good. At here when the original owners had it. Best hotdogs David berg and custard frozen was amazing soft serve and it still a staple after 50 years.

Three of us wanted a quick bite before we continued with our meeting the owner recommended his favorite spot: Andy's Grille! Bright, clean, friendly staff. Two of us ordered the Chili Dog with all the fixin's , the other member went with the Turkey Club on toasted bread ( I'm going to order this one next time). Have to say all good! Looking forward when in Thornton/ South Holland area. My new go to spot. Mangia & Cheers!

Always good food, but a little pricey. Gyros are good. Burgers not so much. But they have a great selection.

I had the gyro plate and substituted salad for fries. The gyro place came with a huge amount of gyro meat plus what had to be a whole onion shaved and spiced. Plus tyzziki sauce. Large portions. Reasonably priced. This specific Andy's was recommended by a local as it was thought of more highly than the one that was closer by. Highly recommend.

I'm at a customers plant, waiting on production to use up some oil, so I can have room to refill their tank. So I figure why not see what's around. That's when I saw this place literally across the street. Yes! I love gyros so I tried the gyro plate. Now I not only had lunch but might even have dinner and breakfast as they don't skimp on the portions. This plate can make 3 or 4 gyros stuffed full of lamb. Tasty and bountiful for just $12.95. Oh, and from the time I ordered it and paid, I barely had time to grab some napkins before it was ready. At lunchtime! With the drive thru running full speed. Impressive! Check em out if you want some quick freshly made food at some great prices! Well worth the trip!

Over priced, bland tasting food the service was quick but have a sorta old school look.

Was going to wash my car at delta Sonic here and visit a friend down here but the car wash out of disappointment was closed and my friend was not at his business today. I was curious to pass over here and try Andy's but my friend doesn't like it and I never had it. It's not bad but nothing I would say is unusually tasty. The staff was friendly in regards of it answering what's on the menus. It's similar to all these hole in the wall small places like tastee freeze. Despite having a gyros, hamburgers, shakes Malts etc. It was almost my lunch time and I was trying to find something to dine in that was interesting and local around the Homewood South Holland area. If I'm in the neighborhood again I'll probably try their deep fried mushrooms. But right now I'm trying to fish and chips cuz I was getting tired of hamburgers and the usual fast food menu that I usually eat or drink. It's hard not to give them three stars but at the same time I feel like I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt giving them four stars despite the cleanliness of the restaurant and trying to find that special food that they have here. Other then that trying to fish that they use cod has that balance of crispiness, freshness and moisture I really didn't care for the chips or fries. The vegetable beef soup was a meh good as a millennial would say. They're coleslaw was good also for a side had the right amount of cream as well as the texture when chewing the cabbage that's been diced up and it wasn't vinegar based coleslaw which I don't favor

Been eating here for abt a year now. I tryn get here as often as I can. Bzc the food jst plain rocks. The people are so nice and the young man at the grill HOOKS u UP! No skimping on stuff here. He loads up what ever it is you order. I usually get chorizo and eggs. Most places give u MAYBE 2 or 3 tortillas. He gives u abt 5 or 6. I really have to try other things on the menu. Bcz I'm sure they're great. I have had the Gyro combo and that was great. So go see these folks and see for yourself.

Out of towner speaking corn beef hash and cheese eggs hit different well worth the price differently coming back.

Customer service is great! Custard is delicious so much to choose ! Outdoors they have benches menus outside nicely lite at night

We were looking for a local spot for a solid Midwestern meal. The Italian beef was amazing!!! Side of mushrooms. Cherry Icee. Nothing was too greasy, perfect for what we were looking for. Highly recommend.

UPDATE: I went back to the restaurant to issue my complaint to the employees, they handled it amazingly. The customer was immaculate, they remade my sandwich and it was everything and more than I expected. This is why I will always return here, the food is always good (I was just hangry. hungry x angry.) if you are in the area or plan to be, please stop here, you will not be disappointed!

OMG. i called in my order i ordered 2 2 hot dog specials a double cheeseburger, and a chicken philly with mozz and mayo only and 2 shakes. my jaw about his the floor when they told me $51. it's $9 for 2 hot dogs fries and a fountain drink. save money and go to portillos. this is the most i've ever paid at any hot dog joint. how does anyone get away with charging $9 for 2 hot dogs when surely they ain't all beef. my wife used to be a regular here. after i told her what i just paid said she will never go again! just called portillos it's $8 for beef hot dogs and fries! screw their drink! never ever again! they jacked up their prices due to the price of meat going up??? maxwell street down road i think is $4 for 2 dogs and fries!

I just ordered the American Burrito for breakfast along with a Coke. Piping hot and tasty. Really big and the hot sauce is about right. I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic local grill and DINER I would rather say a diner because of the vibe the place gives you. It's the picture example of a local business growing 30 years strong. I had the turkey club while my fiancé had a grilled chicken sandwich, both above par and fresh. Up next is the frozen custard, which is in the places name so I can only assume it's above expectations. Also a good neighborhood, you can tell when they opened in the 70s, they were the only thing standing on the whole intersection! Love to support local? Love good food? Eat at Andy's. Good prices.

Giving it four stars this time, I probably could have given it 5 but it's my first trip here and I want to try more things before giving anything five stars. I had the Chicago style hotdog and fries with a drink for about $5. The fries were shoestring style and crispy and really good. Absolutely nothing to complain about. The staff that work there was very friendly. I will definitely be coming back many times to here for lunch.

There sandwiches are delicious ribeye, hamburgers there fish have to try everything else and they are very fast

I've been going to this Andy's Grille for over 20yrs now. Although they have plenty of goods on the menu, my go to is the Mexican breakfast borritto! The fastest made borritto in all of Chicago land. They never disappoint.

Came here most of he time in the summer when i worked in the area it was great. This place does get pretty pack during lunch time, but its worth it cause it's barely even a wait since it goes so fast and the food comes out swiftly as well. I never sat and ate there but it seems fairly clean and the staff are very kind , had a few chats with the cashier lady she very nice. My favorite thing to get from there is the gyro special. Its gyro as expected and comes with fries and a drink very filling after eating one. One of the best gyros i had. Do give it a try and give your own opinoin on it.

This place is one of the hidden gems in South Holland. All of their food is always exceptional. They always have a cute girl behind the cashier, and the place itself is always very clean. I miss working around the area where I could stop in on my lunch breaks and pickup a hotdog special. I still try to swing by when I can.

The maxwell Polish was very good!!! I got the combo. And they also give you a lot of fries. I would prefer them over than maxwell street polish in Chicago. I will defiantly be retuning

Great food, fast service and friendly staff. They always make you feel welcome in their establishment. No matter if you are dining in, carrying out or in the drive thru.

Andy's food is always tasty, and the service is always quick and pleasant. Their gyros and chocolate malts are the best (and I love their cheeseburgers and hot dogs too). I've been eating here for years and years, and I've never had a bad experience.

this eatery is a "Must Try" for everyone!!! TOP NOTCH taste, menu options, (breakfast lunch or dinner), staff giving friendly service with attention to detail, spotless restaurant, with the BEST and FASTEST drive thru. Once this GEM is found (in an industrial park but SO easily accessed) you'll return again and again. 5 stars is an under statement p.s. I'm a local....not S.F., CA

I had a hot dog and fries. Pretty darn good, quick and cheap $6 for dog fries and drink. I messed up and ordered in when I needed it to go, no attitude or fuss. Friendly fast good and relatively inexpensive. Love this place

If I could I would literally give 0 stars! I visited your location today I purchased 4 wings (I ASKED WERE THEY WHOLE WINGS I WAS TOLD YES) dinner and a gyro plate with American cheese. Ok I received 2 party wings and 2whole wings. The chicken was also old I know this because of the black parts on them and they were not burnt however the fries were. My gyro plate why would you put cheese on the pitas and put them together and the gyro meat looks like dog food. This was first and last experience with Andy's. Please contact me I have pictures. I called and ask if they would replace my order or give my money back she caught an attitude and told me no. Contact me or I will dispute this charge with my bank because I'm not eating this garbage I wouldn't feed it to my dog. And I will be posting on social media and contacting the better business bureau.

Some thing happened to this place after the first of the year. Prices went up, food quality went down. The hamburger now is definitely cooked the day before. Hard and dried up like BBQ leftovers. Every item hot food item shrunk drastically! Rib eye steak sandwich was a joke yesterday! We are now getting lunch at Jim boos and 7-11 now. Sad to see this happen.

We've sampled a lot of the menu including breakfasts, salads, sandwiches and custard and virtually everything has been excellent. Every employee there is always helpful and friendly as well. Standout items are the custard, veggie omelette, corned beef hash w/eggs, salads, hot dogs, combo sandwich and fries.

I've been coming here a few times a week for the past couple of months in the evenings with my neighbor who spoke highly of the place. I usually just get the soup which is really good or the fries which you get a ton of. What makes this place stand out is they have by far the best customer service I have seen! Every single time I've been there, we were greeted with a smile. The employees are all very friendly and work hard. Even better, the place is always kept very clean. They are one of the best around!

Andy's has excellent food. It doesn't matter if it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Their gyro plate is fantastic. You get a large helping of gyro meat, 2 pita breads, onions, tomatoes, pepperochinis, and a delicious cucumber sauce. I had their turkey burger for the first time the other day not expecting too much but, man was it delicious! Their hodgepodge breakfast platters are a good choice too. I like the one with gyro meat and feta cheese. The ice cream is very good to. Excellent patty melt also. One other thing that impresses me about Andy's is their speedy service. By the time you pay for your order and go to the bathroom to wash your hands, your order is waiting on you. That's important for people like myself that only have a half-hour lunch break. So stop in and give them a try I don't think you'll be disappointed. They have a very diverse menu for all tastes: burgers,dogs,gyros,burritos, fish, you name it they have it. If I had to come up with a negative, the breakfast burrito isn't bad, it's rather large actually, but it leaves you feeling kind of bloated.

Gyros are the best in the Chicagoland area. Cheese fries too. And, they have a really nice staff. Very clean restaurant.

We were coming in from Cali and staying in South Holland; I had looked this place up and it had great reviews. When we arrived at our rental house, the host recommended it here too. I think my expectations were too high! The place is conveniently at the corner and down the street from where we stayed. It was empty since we went during a thunder storm! Very clean, very nice employees, but menu didn't impress. I come from where Primos and Tom's are located everywhere. This was just that and just ok. Maybe I should have got a gyro or cheese fries. Wasn't craving any ice cream, so maybe next time in south holland I'll have a better experience. A for effort.

Excellent food, located in the industrial park in South Holland, but the menu offers a wide variety of chooses. I like the Burgers, Dogs, Beef and Italian Hodge Podge breakfast, yummmmm a real treat.

Best place ever! I got the cheeseburger here, and it was sooooo savory that I wanted to save it forever! I also got some fried mushrooms, and with ranch they're amazing!

Great food at great prices! What else can I say its a hidden gem. I was served by the best cashier named vicky, she's easily employee of the month, she greeted me with a smile and didn't hesitate to take my order. She was so polite and had amazing manners, she makes the establishment light up with her smile and hospitality. Make sure to give her extra tips if you get a chance to see her. Overall its a great place to stop and eat with the family or on a date.

My boss just gave me the last 1/4 of his burrito from Andy's. DAMN! This is one of the best burritos I've ever eaten. Update 7/31: Just discussed this at work with the new person. It sounds so weird for a place to offer such a wide variety of food from burgers to burritos but there food is so good!!!

The gyro plater was delicious, filling and huge! The chicken dinner was great. Prices are very inexpensive to say the least. Customer service was excellent. Best out of the way restaurant ever!

No matter what you get here, it will be good or great, and ready in 3-4 minuets. I can get a beef sandwich at 6am. It's one of my favorite places in all of America.

Andy's is the best fast food resturant in the area, great food, friendly service, lets support our local establishments. Just tell them Ken (Bubba) sent you!

Been going going here as long as I can remember as a kid and still go every time I visit home! My family eats here every week! Excellent food and even better service!!!

These sweet friends of mine know how to make bomb A food. Almost everyday during lunch I stop by and grab a hamburger. These hamburgers will have you driving home, singing "cheeseburger in paradise!" Don't expect to wait either, these kind lads will have you out there door before you can finish ordering, don't mind the lady in the front, she may seem unhappy, but I'd be pissed if I didn't get to eat the food too

Definitely an amazing find in the South Suburbs. Andy's has an incredible breakfast, lunch, and dinner selection. Their customer service is supreme, always offering a friendly smile and a quick-to-please attitude toward all customers. Andy's offer a fast and well prepared meal. The inside of the restaurant is also large, open, and accommodating. You can eat in, carry out, and place order via phone. There are few fast food restaurants that perform their service in such a fast and friendly manner!

Great food and incredible service. I love their breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All-around a very worthwhile experience and absolutely worth the drive. Their staff is also very friendly and serviceable.
