I hadn’t been to Andy’s for a long time, but I used to be a regular customer — sometimes three times a week — mainly for the pork kebabs, which were always excellent.
A friend visited a few weeks ago and warned me the quality had gone downhill. I didn’t believe her and decided to try it myself, hoping to prove her wrong. Unfortunately, she was right.
The pork kebab I received tonight was extremely poor. It wasn’t cooked on the grill as it used to be; instead, it appeared to have been cooked in an oven underneath. The meat had no colour, no flavour, and the texture was unpleasant — it tasted more like it had been boiled than grilled. Overall, it was very disappointing.
I spent £32 for two kebabs and chips, which felt completely unjustified given the quality of the food. Based on this experience, I won’t be returning.
It’s a real shame, as this place used to be consistently good, but the standard has clearly dropped significantly.
