🌟 My Experience We were gifted an unforgettable treat from Andy’s Orchard in Morgan Hill, CA—a box of hand-dipped, chocolate-covered apricots unlike anything we’ve ever had! 🍑🎁 From the first bite, it was clear these were no ordinary dried fruits. The apricots were plump, juicy, and full of California sunshine. 🌞 🍽️ Delicious Food Each apricot was a flavor bomb 💣—some coated in smooth white chocolate 🤍, others in rich semi-sweet dark chocolate 🍫. The balance of tangy, sweet, and creamy was absolutely heavenly. We devoured the entire box within 24 hours… no regrets! 😋 🙌 Outstanding Service While we didn’t catch any names, it’s obvious the team at Andy’s Orchard pours love and craftsmanship into every piece. The hand-dipped touch made it feel extra special—like something your grandma would make, but with gourmet flair. 👩‍🌾❤️ 🌴 Atmosphere & Vibe Even though we didn’t visit the stand ourselves, the thought of these treats coming straight from a charming, local fruit stand in Morgan Hill adds so much to the story. You can almost imagine the fresh orchard air and rustic charm. 🍃🏡 💬 Final Thoughts & Recommendation Andy’s Orchard delivers a true local delicacy that’s bursting with flavor and heart. Whether you’re visiting Morgan Hill or ordering a gift, do not miss these chocolate-dipped apricots. 🍫🍑 An unforgettable taste of California sunshine in every bite. Highly recommend with all my sweet tooth! ✨🙌

The best fresh stone fruit in Santa Clara county, dare I say all of California. You have never had fresh fruit like this. Boasting with countless seasonal heirloom varieties that are hand picked ripe daily. I loaded my carry on with as much as possible to take back to Montana. There's nothing like it anywhere else in America. In the off season the dried fruit in the farm store is top notch. Load up early on the candy cots and silk road nectarines.

Andy's Orchard is a very nice fruit and gift store in Morgan Hill. The produce is high quality and I think is locally grown. They also have a lot of bottled items like BBQ sauce, tapenade, etc. Everything we've tried has been delicious.

Went at 9.30 am on the sunday 18th June and we had booking for 4 people. The orchard opens at 10 am and there were already people lined up. We requestes for car parking inside orchard as my wife has walking disability they said they can help if there is sticker . However they offered her chair to sit till orchard opens and agreed to drop her back. Aeiing my wife's condition not one many of their staff/ volunteer came forward to help particularly a family of Marcus the young boy who drove the tractor with trailer which can seat 10 people disabled. The tour starts with tasting if the fruit and this time of the year it was cherry. They had 35 varities of cherry and it wa wonderfully organised with name board sticker on each of them and you are given a tissue and paper plate for discarding the seeds and they have kept a small basket to discord the seeds as you taste . It was really a wonderful experience After tasting my wife and I with my daughter and grand daughter and couple of other families toolk the tractor and Marcus the boy took us to the orchard and explained the different cherries and took us around and he was very patient and was excellent. The cheerries were sweet some were sour and sweet and most of them were excellent. There was peacock in the orchard . There were 2 rest rooms On the tour you are given buckets to collect the fruit and you weigh them and pay and take it home . The cherry was given at USD 4.50 per LBS. The fruit tasting and picking was excellent experience and special kudos to all the staff and specially to Marcus and his family for helping us and said that having come all the way from India we should go to the orchard understanding my wife's disability

Google
Andy's is a gem of Morgan Hill. You're sure to find some of the best fruit you've ever tasted. Great place to bring kids - highly recommend the tasting events - buy tickets mid to late May. 500+ guests and tickets sell out quick. The store onsite is quaint with prices that can't be beat.

ayush K.

Google
Went there for cherry tasting on a Sunday. The place was packed before it even opened. Tickets were $25 per person, and they had at least 20 different types of cherries that you could taste. They also let us pick out our own cherries from the orchard, though the thing that I didn't like is that there was no easy way of knowing where the different types of cherries were. I jotted down the names of the cherries that I liked, but I couldn't find some of them in their orchard, and some were not actually from their orchard either. That was a bummer. Thankfully, the cost of self picked cherries was only $4.50 per lbs

Google
Nice locally owned rustic store. They sell a variety of dryer fruits, chocolate, pies and seasonal fruits and veggies. I enjoy visiting the place every month. Prices are expensive.

Yelp
We were lucky to book a tasting & tour at Andy's Orchard well in advance (5 months ahead) before they sold out. I highly highly recommend it for families, kids, and outings. They only do tastings during the summer months, so it is a bummer we can't go ahead until next year but we are totally already looking forward to it! Each ticket was $25 for adults, or anyone over 11 years old. Children under 11 are free and there are discounted prices for seniors. I want to take bet that we probably tried over 50types of peaches, nectarines, plums and other fruit varieties. And even though you are only to take 1-2 pieces of each variety, my plate was full at the end of each section. Who would've thought there are like 20+ different kinds of peaches in the Silicon Valley? Some of my favorites were the Snow Beauty peaches, the Italian Ice peaches, as well as the green gage plums. But many were delicious and after awhile, they start to taste the same but they were still flavorful. The kids enjoyed fruit picking on the tour of the orchard and were able to pick some and taste along the way. You can purchase by the pound the fruit you pick or you can get some at the store. They also sell chocolate covered treats and desserts in the shop. Overall, still highly recommend trying this out. You can also just visit them and purchase fruit by the pound. I like that they have a"cheaper" section for "ugly" fruits and I was able to snag a couple of bags of delicious peaches there.

Yelp
I was looking for date ideas for my partner and I last year. Somehow we stumbled upon Andy's Orchard for a fruit tasting event. When we went last year, we tried soooo many different types of fruit I seriously can't even remember how many there were. It was a really fun date with minimal stress. All of the fruits were so sweet and the perfect ripeness! This year when we went, we tried the stone fruit tasting. It was soooo yummy! I wish I had a charcuterie board with me because the peaches, nectarines, plums and pluots were so juicy and sweet! I didn't get to try the tours or the fruit picking but those are options to can add to your trip. If you like the fruits you tried, you should go pick them! It is cheaper than buying it in their shop. Their shop was packed by the way. However they still had great service! This place has lots of passionate staff members! I will definitely be coming back for the fruit tasting every year. It's best to get tickets early in advance though!

Yelp
Yay! It's stone fruit season again! My wife is on their mailing list so we're kept apprised of what's coming up and what's already in season. We'll probably be making the one hour drive down every two or three weeks for the next three months. I highly recommend that you get on their mailing list or call down to see what is in season the day before you drive down. Andy's only picks fruits at the peak of ripeness and the fruits are super sweet. That also means that something that you buy today and enjoy, don't expect to find it again three weeks later. And because fruit is dependent on weather cooperation, the same fruits will not necessarily ripen at the same time each year. We brought The Princess down with us this year, so I didn't get any of the pictures that I usually take. Look at some of my older pictures to get an idea of how Andy's sells his products.

Yelp
I came for cherry pick up , and their farm the tree have so many fruits. Bings cherry was sweet and many tree to pick from

Lou A.

Yelp
I grew up calling them Indiana Bananas and spent many Sunday afternoons driving around Ripley County, Indiana with my father, looking for wild papaw trees. We were seldom successful. Their texture is close to a banana, mango or pineapple. I never liked them. Andy's Orchard store is a short drive from San Jose and is a fabulous place. Unique varieties of seasonal fruits and nuts, specialty breads, olive oil and honey, dried fruit and artisanal cheeses. There are also jellies and jams. It would be very easy to spend $1,000 in a brief afternoon visit. I was able to restrict myself to a few cheeses and some nuts.

Anton M.

Yelp
This is a great shop for fresh fruits. I would totally recommend coming here. It is a bit of a drive from Bay Area. The seasonal fruit variety is great.

Yelp
Had a great experience cherry picking. Very nicely maintained, sweet cherries, and friendly staff!

Yelp
Love, love, love this fabulous country store! It's conveniently located on the way from my home to my parents' house. It's dream come true during cherry season, and never disappoints. It's a beautiful spot, these orchards, and the store itself is located near the end of a country road where I always catch a glimpse of a rooster or two. In addition to the delicious fresh fruit, they also carry incredibly tasty dried fruits, jams, nuts, tapenade, honey, pies, chocolate covered dried fruit, and more! Pro tip: if you like dried fruit, pick up a box of the apricot slabs and pieces. They don't look as perfect as the whole apricots, but they are the tastiest, and they cost a little less!

Yelp
I'm reposting a review of mine that was written in 2018. Apparently it was taken down because it must have been offensive when i used the word "Sombrero" in describing a hat. Ok...my review has changed to "cowboy hat" lol.... Wifey booked the fruit tasting tour from their Yelp page. She was so worried that I wasn't going to enjoy it bc I told her in the past that cherry picking is a waste of time, expensive, tedious, and not worth the drive to Brentwood. Luckily for us this location is very close to where we bought our new home so if this pans out, will be a treasure. The weekend we went was so pleasant in terms of weather condition: sunny but not hot and no wind to kick up a dust storm in the orchards. We saw people wearing safari hats, cowboy hats, and lathered in sunscreen and i was worried bc I totally forgot my PPE. To my surprise all the tasting was done under the shade and spread out to accommodate the 100-200 visitors nicely. Before visiting this orchard I thought there was only 2 kinds of peaches: white and yellow. Wow was I wrong. There are literally dozens and dozens and you got to try them. They hand you a paper plate and a plastic fork and it's like a day of hitting up Costco peach, nectarines, apricots, pluots, and cherry samples without waiting for the women to put them in the sample cups. They do such a wonderful job bc each fruit is sliced small enough for you to get a good sample of the flavor without filling you up. Behind each tupperware tub is the actual fruit so you can see what it looks like unsliced. I promise you that you will never ever ever find stone fruit like this in the store bc they only pick them off the tree when they are ripe. Stores need to pick them when they are hard still so they don't bruise and this disrupts nature's process of ripening. Each fruit is SO fat, juicy, and sweet! As part of this experience, you are given a bucket and brought out on the orchard to pick your own fruit. During this time you are free to sample them right off the tree. Now if you are cheap like me, you are probably going to try to eat your admission fee worth of fruit but karma will pay you back with a tummy ache so please refrain from doing this. You're welcome. Once you are content with your pickins you head over to the register area where you'll pay the event discounted rate so please remember to bring cash. So grateful they didn't weight me before and after the event. We will never buy store-bought stone fruit again after this event. It completely ruined my taste buds and expectations. I'm glad the Mariani family decided to keep one of the very few orchards still in existence. We will definitely frequent this place to pick up our summer treasures once we settle into this great town.

Yelp
This is my second time here and both times I've found unique finds & treats. They carry several local items like honey, soaps, nuts, and pies. My kids loved the variety of fun honey sticks. Their fruit is fresh & flavorful, but the best buy by far was the Nectarine & Blackberry Pie made by Sweet Dragon Bakery. The cashier was very helpful and polite. I haven't explored the entire property, but the store is a small, quaint, country store that feels like a hug from your grandma. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 star rating is because the prices are on the steep side.

Yelp
Went today for the annual open house. If you haven't been before you need to check it out! They have samples of tons of their products along with hot cider and egg nog. They also had a local author today signing her books. They have a great little tent with heaters for rainy weather like today. The store itself is so festive and cozy. The gifts are fun and unique, would always recommend coming and again check out the holiday open house!

Yelp
My family moved to MH ~7 years ago and we've always heard of Andy's Orchard (AO). We finally made a visit a month ago to pick up some Rainier cherries (RC). The store is very small but has a nice selection of the seasonal fruits. We opted for a small basket of RC, local honey and some dried fruit. When I got home I ate the entire basket by myself! They are honestly some of the best cherries I've ever had. I had to go back to AO the next day to buy another basket so that my family can enjoy. Thinking it was a fluke, we went back the next week and obviously got a large basket of RC, peaches and nectarines. Again, some of the juiciest, sweetest and honestly best fruit I've had EVER. It makes me sad that it took us 7 years to find this gem. All employees are very polite and helpful. I swear the fruit taste better than candy! If you've been wanting to visit AO, dont hesitate like us! Look forward to our next visit and buying a lot more fruit, locally baked pies. It appears that my locals love their pies. They get delivered on Fridays and we always tend to visit early in the week. Thank you AO for making me a renewed fruit lover!

Yelp
Still the best for fresh fruits. They actually had some bing cherries. They were big and sweet. Yummy. 12$ for 28oz and they were worth every dollar!! I also got some peaches and nectarines but forgot the names. You can definitely smell the ripeness. Come by to support the local business. I ate all the cherries before I remembered to take the pics.

Yelp
Simply the best. Best peaches, plums, apricots (fresh & dried). Look no further! Super friendly staff!

Matt E.

Yelp
The store sells fresh and dried fruit and nuts, specializing in heirloom varieties. The inventory is high quality. It is presented in a clean and well lit country store surrounded by the owners' orchard. It's a rare experience in the Santa Clara Valley now. The staff are, friendly, pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend the business.

Yelp
I popped into Andy's Orchard after a long Morgan Hill bike ride, and right before closing. I picked up heaps of dried fruit and the remaining cherries -- everything was delicious. I plan to visit again during stone fruit season. I sent dried fruit to my mom -- she loves the pears, apricots and cherries. 100% delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
We stopped by the store on our way back to our hotel. They have local jams, honeys, fruits, nuts, and cookies. It was a short but fun pit stop!

Yelp
Do orchards still exist in the The Valley of Heart's Delight? Though every orchard from the South Bay to the North Bay have all but disappeared there are still a few if you know where to look. Andy's Orchard is probably the best stone fruit orchard in the Bay Area. The host various events throughout the year were you can taste seasonal fresh and dried fruit. During the summer months they hold regular events were you can pick fruit from their orchard and purchase what you pick. They have a variety of unique and heirloom variety stone fruits during the summer months. They will even provide you with a calendar of when to expect certain variety of fruits during the season. They also have other fruits during year including figs, cherries, and persimmons. They will also have a small selection of seasonal vegetables. They have a robust section of "ugly fruit" that taste perfectly fine aside from being ugly or bruised. The ugly fruit is usually priced super cheap at 1$/lb. In my weekly visits to Andy's I maybe had one fruit that wasn't up to par! While it is usually hit or miss when buying fruit at a conventional store you can expect perfectly ripe and in season fruit at Andy's. You can find delicious eats year round at Andy's due to the fact that they sell a large selection of dried fruits that they dry at the orchard. You can find dried stone fruits year round and some specialty items seasonally. You can get sugar plums and dried persimmons in the winter months and through the new year. If you're looking for one of the best orchards in the Bay Area Andy's may be your best bet at seeing what once filled the valley.

Yelp
"A seed hidden in the heart of an apple is an orchard invisible."―Welsh proverb Please note that Andy's is ***NOT*** a traditional u-pick farm but an actual working farm that occasionally hosts farm tours, tastings and pickings. Please visit their website or FB page to see when the next event is. They do however have a store that's open on-site that one can visit anytime that sells their wares as well as other locally sourced products (e.g., honey, baked goods, etc). With that said, the boy and I visited Andy's to do one of their tastings, tours and pickings ($15/adult & $2.75/lb* fruit) recently and we had a great time. The tastings involved dozens of rare and never before seen (by me at least) cherry and apricots varieties. They also had local honey tastings, dried fruit―and their amazing chocolate-covered apricots! Ridiculously good... The tour and picking part was lead by one of their docents who takes you thru their orchards and explains to you about all the varieties and shows you where to pick. As much as I love tastings this might have been my favorite part of the day. My son had a blast picking fresh fruit and eating them straight from the tree. You really haven't tasted fruit if all you've ever done is buy it from the supermarket. Overall really fun way to spend an afternoon, get in some steps and eat a ton of freshly-picked, delicious fruit. Highly recommended. *fruit prices may vary depending on available fruit and time of year.

Yelp
The fruits here are fantastic and don't be put off by the bargain bin. These fruit grow and burst with flavor (literally) and not marketable at the "grocery" stores so they often have the best flavor at super discount prices. If your making pies or jam, these are the ones you want. There are other items that are brought in and resold, like macadamia hurts, etc., Huy those who know food will appreciate the local and seasonal selection. Because they don't need to pack and shop these places are great for getting produce at its best. The corn was amazing!!! To end, I've been rating the restrooms. I'm gonna give them an acceptable cuz it's not a restaurant, but just be warned that the amenities are sparse.

Robin R.

Yelp
Went to the annual holiday open house this weekend. Was really looking forward to it! What a huge disappointment. Nothing like in years past when the occasion was held outdoors under a covered patio area with heat lamps and festive music and decorations. The long tables with samples to taste of every kind of dried fruit, nuts , and sugary confection while you sipped on cider, coffee and eggnog. After sampling, you knew exactly what you wanted to buy and left with lots of goodies to take home or gift to others. This time around was nothing like that! The dismal sampling options were inside the store laid out very sparsely next to items for sale. Mostly just dried fruit samplings. The prices are noticeably higher also with smaller portions. This is the first year that I left with no purchases.
google avatar

Kim E.

Yelp
The fresh peaches, cherries, and plums we purchased were super sweet! I loved that they had samples of the different varieties of cherries to taste to help you choose the ones you like best. I would stop here again on my next trip.
google avatar

Lyn L.

Yelp
Charming country store! You'll love it! Fresh fruit at great prices. People here, Sally, are so helpful! She helped me pick my fruit, was so friendly and helpful! Multi generation, family owned ... everything grown on site and fresh picked for the store. If u love supporting local business and want quality fruits and other homemade goodies, this is the place to come. Lots of parking and air conditioned.

Yelp
Cash and card accepted. Andy's Orchard is located on Half Rd. and offers some private lot parking. I went in on a Saturday during the holidays and it was fairly busy with people going in and out of the shop. Before I reached the entrance of the shop I surrounded by tons of fruit, nuts, popcorn, and chocolate samples on long tables outside. There were also egg nog, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate available. Everything I sampled was good and I wanted to purchase them all. After trying several samples I went into the shop to see even more fruits, nuts, popcorn, and chocolate to purchase. There were a lot of boxed items as well which looked perfect for gifts. Overall I'd recommend this place and would go back. Very cute place!

Yelp
Take pictures and note all the fruit you like when tasting! My friend Invited me for a fruit tasting and picking event and there were at least 100 different types of fruit consisting of plums, pluots, nectarines, and peaches and I wish I had done that from the beginning. On the tour you can mention which ones you like so they can tell you where it's located or available for pickings The most popular ones weren't available in the store so it's best you pick them. The cost is $2.95/lb if I remember correctly which is cheaper than the store price. If you are going to different orchards you may pick and have them hold your bucket for you so you can get another empty bucket for the next orchard (that way you don't lug around all that weight) You are required to wear close toed shoes which makes sense since my shoes were ruined by the end of it. The fruit was amazing. I highly recommend Green Gages and Summer silk and Silk nectarines. The other peaches were great and I've attached photos of my favorites.
google avatar

Janet I.

Yelp
This was my first time here. My sister had to stop and pick up last minute Christmas gifts so we tagged along. Sure glad we did. We missed out on the fruit samples, but we did buy some of those chocolate covered apricots and chocolate covered peach donuts . They are my husband's favorites. I have to come back next year for the fruit tour for sure.
google avatar

Nancy G.

Yelp
Excellent fruits grown and harvested at the orchard. They are picked when ripe so they have way more flavor and nutrients than grocery store produce.
google avatar

Barry T.

Yelp
Wow, the peaches! This place is great. Thanks father-in-law for getting me hooked on this place. The fruit is awesome and a priced about right. Don't let it sit for too long though, it isn't your store bought genetically engineered fruit. It will go bad!! Awesome job guys!

Emily M.

Yelp
Great place! The store is small, but they have a wide variety of things you can't find in a typical grocery store. I got some pawpaws which were amazing -- highly recommend if you haven't had it before. Suggest you call ahead if you're coming for something specific to see if they have it in stock.
google avatar

Terri M.

Yelp
I looked at he pictures on here and on Facebook and thought, wow I have to go check this place out. It reminds me of the little store at Gizdich ranch. But there wasn't much selection when we went. They had some different candies, a few different kinds of tomatoes, and some random fruit. I got chocolate covered apricots and pineapple guava. The lady said it tasted just like pineapple. I haven't had guava before but I really did not like it. It didn't taste like pineapple nor was it sweet. It was just gritty like a pear. The chocolate covered apricots were the best, just pricey at $13.50 for a small container.

Yelp
I haven't been to the store yet, but I did get to try a Sugar Plum (see pics) my co-worker bought for me. Sugar plums are only available Nov & Dec so if you want some better hurry. It's basically a stuffed prune filled w/ nuts, apricots, a rum glace, and a dried cherry in the middle. Sweet and sticky, it's really good. I only got one, which cost $2.25 for a tiny 5 bite thing. If you buy more it's cheaper of course. Read Aaron R.'s review cuz it's really good. I plan to support Andy's Orchard even though it's maybe 1.5 hrs from Fremont. I plan to do their tour in 2007 and buy lots of stuff from them. Store Hours: 10:00am - 5:00pm Weekdays 10:00am - 4:00pm Weekends Open during the summer and holiday seasons (Mid-November thru December 31) At other times it is best to call ahead. website: http://www.andysorchard.com/index.shtml

Yelp
I live in the area but had never been to Andy's. In the past I've purchased fresh fruit at various fruit stands in the area. I purchased some peaches and apricots at Andys and was thrilled at the quality of the fruit. It's much sweeter than anything I've previously purchased at other fresh fruit stands.

Yelp
This year was a bad year for cherries. Most posts online indicated 25% of normal bing cherry crop. :( My husband really wanted to take our 2 year old daughter cherry picking but driving to Brentwood seemed far, with bad traffic and without many cherries for harvesting. I found Andy's on Yelp and they were much closer for us to drive to. I decided to buy tickets for a tour and tasting on Father's Day. Since they don't allow picking of their fruit all the time, I figured paying $15 an adult would be worth it since we would be guaranteed cherries along with other stone fruit. We arrived right before 10am and the place was hopping! Cars were parked all along the road. We quickly checked in and decided to join a tour and do the tasting later. All the staff were super friendly and very informative. Andy tagged the ripe fruit trees with bright yellow caution tape so we knew which ones to target. Our guide made sure we got to taste and pick to our delight. We ate so much fruit while hiking around the orchard! Even though the orchard only produced 10% of their usual bing cherry crop, there were lots of other delicious varieties of cherries to harvest. It was a good thing we went on an early tour instead of doing a tasting because it was such a busy day that afterwards when we went to revisit some of our favorites, most of the ripened fruit had been picked! Needless to say, our 2.5 hour visit (which could have been longer but we had lunch reservations) was NOT disappointing! We ate and picked some of the most delicious peaches, nectarines and cherries while learning about all the varieties, how the orchard is set up and what some of the growing practices were. Fruit you take home in your bucket costs $3.50 a pound, whatever you take home in your tummy is FREE. ;) All in all, we spent over $50 on tickets and fruit. But most importantly my husband loved his Father's Day and had a blast! Well worth the short drive, plentiful delicious fruit and friendly staff. Tip: Whatever you can't find in the orchard or isn't ripe yet, we were told you could just call and place an order for when the fruit you want becomes available and they'll hold some for you.

Yelp
Great little place, super happy I went and picked up some super fresh summer fruit! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Andy's orchard is a little fruit oasis in Morgan Hill. It's a quick drive from San Jose most of the time and you won't be disappointed. They have all sorts of rare and exotic stone fruit in season. Their staff is knowledgeable and will answer any questions that you may have. They also have dried fruit, candy, pastry and other related items in the store Don't get this confused with fruit in the supermarket. This fruit will ripen quickly an needs to be eaten or cooked fairly soon after purchase. If you are into the freshest possible fruit in season, Andy's orchard is for you!

Yelp
I stopped by the country store here. The store smelled delicious and I was excited to purchase some fresh, ripe fruits. I bought several varieties of peaches, apricots, and dried fruit. The peaches were large and juicy, but not the best I have ever had. We had peach trees in our backyard while growing up, and I do not think the peaches surpassed those. The apricots were also large and juicy, and I think I liked them more than their peaches. Note: All fruits are very ripe, best eaten the day of purchase. They are not for storing to enjoy later. The dried fruit and chocolates were tempting. I liked the dried Rainier cherry raisins and apricot tangos (fruit logs) -- new things for my taste buds. It was interesting to me that they sold chocolates that had nothing to do with the fruit on their farm. I held off purchasing those, as there are many better chocolate shops around. Note: There are preservatives used in the dried fruits even though everything is local. Overall, I think Andy's Orchard is worth a stop if you are in the area, but I would not go out of my way. I would purchase some fruit as immediate snacks and some fruit candies as local gifts. Sorry Andy. 1 star off: okay peaches 1 star off: preservatives are used

Yelp
After all these years, I finally got to go. The store is usually open, but the U-pick is limited to only a few days each summer now, and you have to reserve ahead of time. We hit stone fruit season, and when we arrived, we got to sample maybe 30-40 different types of peaches, nectarines, plums, and pluots - possibly more ? I've never seen so many varieties of peaches. The walking tour is where you do the u-pick with a guide. Ours was super knowledgeable. It does get sunny and very dusty, so be prepared for that. They also have coffee and complimentary bottles of cold water for guests. Bathrooms are clean, and they also have hand washing stations. The store has dried fruit, baked goods, fresh fruit (slightly more expensive than u-pick and less variety). They also had other produce that was really reasonably priced (padron peppers, tomatoes, sweet corn). There's also air conditioning inside! Many of more unique varieties of stone fruit bruise easily and don't have a long shelf life, so they're not commercially available outside. I think it's worth the drive down there to get them (from the store or u-pick).

Yelp
If you want some local handpicked fruit that is not getting ripe on the back of a truck from Mexico. This is the place you want to go. Very friendly staff and the fruit is delicious always. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. A lot of dried fruit and chocolate fruit and nuts as well.

Yelp
Late stone fruit! I tried to eat the pit. Mighta broke my tooth? It was that good. Always. Growing up on a farm I've been lucky to eat ripe fruits and vegetables. Truly hard to find anymore. Andy wins again. Great!!

Yelp
I appreciate Andy's Orchard as a local orchard and would like to support it as much as I can but given the fruits are not organic, no matter how sweet the fruits may be, I'm much less enthusiastic about them. The last time I dropped by during the peak of cherry season to find the cherries on sale soft and expensive. No thanks- I would rather take my money to support organic farmers in the area.

Yelp
One thing I hate is spending money on great looking fruit that taste horrible. The thing I also hate is being careful about what I buy, only to drive an hour home and to find the fruit the BEST THING I'VE TASTED in a really really long time. I stopped by on a whim (yes, drove an hour on a whim!) and picked up some peaches, little orange apricot things that are not apricots and cherries... OMG the orange things are the sweetest, most delicious fruit I've ever had. I can't remember for sure what it used to be like before Covid, I had been there a few times to pick up the green gage plums but I don't think they ever had samples but that would be one thing I think would be amazing. I know for sure that if I had tried the fruit at the shop, I would have purchased a lot more of what I bought. But I do love this place- the people that work there is always super friendly and helpful. They are also very honest about their opinions of the fruit which i always appreciate. They have a beautiful selection of candy and honey. It's a fun shop to go to with the family!

Yelp
Amazing local gem. The selection can be small at times, but they support other local companies and farms. The holiday season selection is stunning!

Yelp
Amazing range of fresh picked, in season, unusual varieties of mostly stone fruits. Once in awhile something really cool like pawpaws!!! Huge selection of dried fruit candies and sauces.

Yelp
For those who dream of stone fruit, Andy's Orchard is about as close to Xanadu as you'll find in the Bay Area or surroundings. That I'm writing in late January about the most delicious peaches, plumbs, apricots, and nectarines I've ever tasted is testament to the quality of the fruit grown by Andy's. I just can't quite get it out of my mind for the winter. Andy's does a mail order and retail business throughout the year, dealing in dried fruit in various formats, including sugar plumbs, dried fruits, nuts, and chocolate covered fruit. The sugar plumbs in particular are not to be missed, even for those who are not normally plumb fans. All of this is available online, as the Morgan Hill store is generally closed in the off season, with the exception of the holidays. Heirloom fruits are the specialties of Andy's, and they grow numerous varieties of cherries, plumbs, pluots, apricots, peaches, and nectarines. The Holy Grail of fruit from Andy's is their Green Gage Plumbs, generally available around the end of August and early September, which have a small but growing cult following. The store itself is small and well organized, with around 20 different varieties of fruit available in mid summer, and less early and late in the season. Most are at peak ripeness, tender and sweet, often with a twinge of gaminess that is unforgettable. Yes, I said gamey, and while that may sound a bit strange, that's only because you might not yet have been knocked over the head by the most delicious peach you ever ate in your life. There's no question getting to Andy's Orchard requires some effort, as its Morgan Hill location is convenient only to Gilroy residents or those who are already traveling on 101 south of San Jose. But if the prospect of tasting fruit that will surprise and delight you holds some appeal, Andy's Orchard is a destination worth taking the time and effort to visit.

Yelp
Okay, I may be a little biased because I grew up in Morgan Hill and my family knows the Mariani's, but Andy's orchard has simply the best dried fruit I have ever had. Their dried peaches and apricots are too die for - still very juicy even though they are dried. They also make great chocolate dipped dried fruit (cherries, peaches, apricots) which is a good option when you need a chocolate fix but want to feel at least a little bit healthy at the same time. They also have excellent fresh fruit too, of course - the cherries are to die for. The prices are more expensive than what you might find in the store, but the quality is 10 times better, definitely worth the difference. The store can be a little bit hard to find, unless you are in the know, it's on a backroad in Morgan Hill, behind the high school.

Yelp
This is the garden of Eden I could not dream about. Andy holds these events called a harvest walk a few times every summer. During these days he brings out the rarest of his fruits. What a treat! It's quite amazing to see that these events are frequented by experts including Master Gardeners and other members of the California Rare Fruit Growers, who grow their own beautiful rare fruits but still consider it an event not to be missed. Today I attended an event which he had maybe about 75 types of rare/antique/unique peaches, apricots, nectarines, plums, pluots and other treats. I even get to walk amongst his beautiful orchard, picking my own ripe fruit while he regaled us with stories of fruit growing history of the Santa Clara Valley. To me, it epitomizes the best of things in life.

Yelp
Holy Moly this place is awesome! I had heard about the store from a friend and decided to check it out. It is located behind the Live Oak football field inside the orchard. I have been a dried fruit fanatic for as long as I can remember. When we were kids you used to be able to put your own fruit on the racks where they would dry then come back and take them all. Ah the good ol days! Now we must go to Andy's to get such lovely fruit. I have hated seeing fruit in the stores come from other countries rather than locally, so this is the best. The fruit is expensive, but oh so worth it. Can't believe that you are spending $1 on a great big peach just off the tree? Ask yourself why you spent $1 on a bag of chips that are no good for you! A really good peach is priceless! They have almost every kind of dried fruit that you can think of. They have homemade candies and unusual fruits that I have never seen before than you can buy to try. They also have actual sugarplums. These are very rich, but heavenly. They also have a 2lb bag of dried fruits for $9. The best is that they have samples of almost everything. I could graze here for hours! I have also heard that they have tours of the orchards in the summer. Oh yes, I am going to get on that train!
