My boyfriend and I have ordered from ATK on many occasions. Usually, the food is good and flavorful however, they are quite inconsistent. The past couple of times that we have ordered takeout, the food has not lived up to our standards.
While sometimes they give us chicken instead of tofu, it was never grounds for us to leave a negative review. This time was a little different. We ordered a cucumber salad and a couple of entrees. As we were eating, I noticed that the cucumber on my fork had white fuzzy mold growing on it. Yikes! Upon further inspection, the lettuce that was in the salad was beyond wilted (black and sludgy).
We immediately called the restaurant and expressed our concern. The server was not very helpful. He responded that, "Ooh....I don't know. The first order that went out had no complaints. Maybe I can talk to the manager about it." There wasn't much followup nor did he express immediate concern. As someone who's family has been in the restaurant business (Thai restaurants, in fact) for the past 20+ years, all of the above was completely unacceptable. No food or produce should EVER leave the kitchen spoiled and molded. Also, customer complaints should be acknowledged and immediately be rectified.
We are currently waiting to hear back from the management and will update this review.
Overall, decent food, service needs refinement, and the kitchen needs improvement on quality control.
P.s. If you order a rice entree to-go, be sure to order an extra set. There's never enough.
