Anelace Coffee Shop Closed Permanently in Wake of Central Avenue Fire - Eater Twin Cities

"Destroyed by fire, Northeast’s Anelace Coffee has announced that it will not reopen for business. For five years the coffee shop was beloved for its cozy space and phenomenal coffee. The shop had been closed at the time, as a part of the mass restaurant and retail closures in the state that began on March 17 because of the coronavirus pandemic. There had been hope that Anelace would return, but yesterday afternoon, the owner Caitlin Shrestha shared the decision not to rebuild in a Facebook post." - Joy Summers

Great place and great coffee. Cool style with brick walls and old wood floors. No sofas/couches. Only benches and chairs for tables and bar top; which is fine, just don't be looking to lounge on a lazy boy. Over its a great place with a chill vibe and great people. Check it out sometime.

Love the atmosphere of this place. A little rustic and modern at the same time. It reminds you of those loft apartments for sure with its high ceilings as well. It gets crowded sometimes during the school year but other than that, it is usually a nice quiet place. Enjoyed it much!!~

Love the atmosphere and the coffee is delicious! 4 stars because we had a brew pass which was for a free complimentary drink with no price limit, but our barista said it was only good for $4 (even though this was not stated anywhere). So our “free” drink wasn’t free. But besides that, delicious! I’d recommend the goldfinch latte!

I’m not entirely sure what I love more; the vibe, the coffee, the logo, the service, the fast WiFi, I could go on. This place is great. They have unique speciality drinks with the option for oat or almond as alternative milks. I’m just really here for it and you should be too.

This is a pour over coffee house. I am not a huge fan of the pour over craze. My latte wasn't very hot. Croissant was very good. It is nice they offer water w your order. Interior clean an simple w a bar at which to sit

Lovely coffee. I got the caramel latte and the milk in my latte was so smooth and rich in flavor. It’s a nice place to sit on a rainy day and read a book or do some work by the window.
