Anepalco Mexican Restaurant-Main

My first visit to this taqueria on Main Street was a standout experience. This is not your average stop—the quality of the ingredients is genuinely high. I asked for recommendations and it was the Filet Mignon Burrito and El pastor tacos. it was all spectacular. The meat lived up to the hype: the filet mignon was incredibly tender, juicy, and very flavorful. It’s rare to find this kind of premium beef in a burrito, making it a very memorable and satisfying meal. I also tried the Al Pastor Tacos, and they were awesome. The pork was flavorful, and they were served on fresh, warm corn tortillas. The salsas were a highlight; I appreciated having access to the salsa bar, where I found both their hot salsa and mild salsa to be excellent. They were distinct, well-made, and perfectly complemented the food. A quick warning for anyone planning a visit: parking is minimal. The location is right next to CHOC Hospital in downtown Orange and only has a small area where you can pull in off the street for a parking space. It can be a little challenging, but trust me, the premium meats and exceptional flavors make the stop completely worth the effort

9.1/10 Nortena Omelette The short rib inside the omelette is cooked perfectly and the meat has tons of flavor. The saltiness of the short rib mixed with the green salsa on the inside complement each other really well. There wasn't too much meat to egg ratio It was pretty good and I found myself scraping the plate eating the last of whatever I could because of how good it tasted. This is a small place and not sure how long they can manage to stay here because I feel like it should be suoer crowded all the time I absolutely will be back to try more and this restaurant looks like all the food is awesome

My friend and I came here for breakfast. It did not disappoint. Food was delicious, service was spot on, and we didn't wait to be seated. The chilaquilles were bursting with flavors. The tacos were ok. But the whole menu definately has something for everyone.

The food is amazing, love how they cook meat outside! Makes the street smell so bomb!

It was a nice cozy spot to get dinner. They had a nice bar area as well. I got the Chile relleno and my girlfriend got the hangar steak. The Chile relleno portion was absolutely tiny and is not a full meal. It was OK but the salsa Verde was way too sour for my taste. The hangar steak on the other hand was much more of a meal and had a much better sauce. The mango cheesecake was the star of the show. I wouldn't go back but worth an experience.

The service was excellent, and the food was great. I had the chilaquiles, which were flavorful, though they were on the soggy side. One unexpected highlight was the coffee, it was surprisingly good and tasted like something you’d find from a cafe. Parking isn’t great, and when it gets crowded, getting in and out can be a challenge.

. Bad experience. The "chilaquiles" were made with Tostitos instead of tortilla chips or fried tortillas, which completely ruined the dish. The texture and flavor were nothing like real chilaquiles. For a traditional dish, I would expect authentic ingredients, not commercial snacks. I wouldn't recommend them. Terrible chilaquiles. They used Tostitos instead of tortilla chips or fried tortillas. That completely changes the flavor and texture. It's neither authentic nor acceptable for a traditional dish. I wouldn't order them again.

This small little eatery near Choc hospital was a nice change of pace from those chain food Mexican places like Chipotle or Super Mex, The flavors here were more authentic and their dishes are very unique. Staff were kind, patient, and very pleasant. It was well worth the visit.

Staff is always sweet & attentive. We love that & them! Indoor & out door seating options available. Casual dining with a simple ambiance. Fantastic foods & flavor options! Place is a hidden gem being small & in a strip mall just by the CHOC hospital. I've been here many times for breakfast & wanted to bring my friend to try. So glad I did. They loved it! I usually go for savory options but I had to try the GUAVA FRENCH TOAST *drool* I regretted NOT, this choice as the dish was well balanced if flavor & texture. The guava was tangy & sweet as it is fresh guava blended with sugar & topped with toasted coconut. These French toasts are a MUST ORDER! A simple side order of bacon bits & soft scrambled eggs to make it a COMBO. Enjoy your dining at ANEPALCO because I always do! Thank you for hosting my friend & I for breakfast! Cheers!

I've been on the hunt for a good weekday brunch spot since most places have better brunch options on the weekends. I decided to try Anepalco since I was in the area. The service was prompt and courteous. We ordered the Queso Fundido, chile relleno, and the Nortena omelette. The prices for each of the items range from $17-25. As it turns out, the food was overpriced for what came out of the kitchen. The queso was way too runny. It looked like they used nacho cheese and threw some chorizo bites in there. The tortillas were a bit hard and too small. The grade for the queso would be 2 out of 5. The omelette was nicely plated (they get strong marks for plating and presentation) but the flavors were off and the egg overcooked (almost rubbery). 2.5 out of 5. The chile looked fresh and loaded with chunks of asada meat. Upon trying the first bite, the meat turned out to be too tough and lacked flavor. The texture of the chile was tasty but no better than what you'd get a Miguel's for 1/2 the price. A 2 out of 5. I am not sure if I'd give this place another try to see if the other dishes fare better. Maybe sometime in the distant future.

Stopped by today and was so excited about the food! I ordered the carne asada tacos and the tortillas were incredible. Homemade, soft, and full of corn flavor. The meat was tender and everything was well seasoned. My husband ordered carne asada enchiladas and they were really different, but so good. The green sauce was super herbaceous and fresh. We also ordered guacamole which came with tostadas. The guac had pineapple and Serranos, great touch of sweet and spicy. We have to come back to try the chilaquiles next time! Parking is very limited. Small lot in the front and small one in the back. Service was slower, but we didn't mind since everything was super fresh.

We recently got brunch with some dear friends and loved this place! Anepalco is serving updated, innovated Mexican classics like Huevos Divorciados, Tortas and fish tacos in a fresh new way. The trio appetizer of deconstructed guac served with freshly fried corn tostadas was fantastic! Their version of street corn- elotes- was delectable too. We ate every morsel. Drinks are nice & strong and just gorgeous to look at. We all tried something different- all good. Our designated driver was able to order a virgin of one of their concoctions and it was amazing too. Service was kind, helpful & efficient- simply excellent! Loud, bright, boisterous - a lot of fun! We shall be back. Thisclose to Angel Stadium right off the 57.

Came here as a party of three. We were greeted politely, sat and served quickly after our hike. We ordered waters, both the green and red Chilaquiles, Huevos Perdidos, and Guava French Toast. Everything was delicious. I definitely recommend trying this place out if you are in the area. It felt like home cooking with a fancy presentation twist.

Good service. Good food. Which they had AC but outside seating is nice and breezy. Always amazing. No complaints ever. Parking can be hard but it's worth it.

Anepalco is such a great find. There's this cool painting of a carpet leading where the artist just gave up and smushed it with strokes of white and stripes of pride as you sip your cinnamon infused coffee, refilled even before the cup has a chance to get cold. I love it. The restaurant is just cozy enough to have talking space while also holding the attention of everyone who works there without feeling 'hovered'. When asked about the choice between guac and guava French toast the guy was like French Toast all the way with the simplest facial expression. It said everything. As vegetarians the Huevos rancheros came without ham and bacon (some might call that an atrocity but I prefer my fat spreadable). That mole though.. damn. I can't remember ever having this kind of rich molé. It was spicy in all the warmest lingers. Those fried eggs on top were perfectly done with the runniest yolk. That Chilaquiles though-- fluffy scrambled egg or folded omelette on a castle of equally soaked corn tortilla chips. Molé baked onto the plate. So fulfilling. It's a little bit of a wait but so worth it. The only thing about the French toast that needs improving is maybe sauce on the side and 25% more toast. But the guava is flavorful just too sweet with small pockets of crema. But service was impeccable and all the wait staff seem like they don't hate their jobs but they also don't rub the status of their lives in your face.

We were looking for a place to meet up with out-of-town family and originally planned to go to the other location, still in Orange but after reading the reviews (thanks fellow Yelpers!), we knew that we needed a bigger spot and tried this location. Everything was plated beautifully and the staff were all very friendly and attentive. The space was open and comfortable with contemporary decor. The food was beautiful to look at and presented with care. It was a good place to spend time with family and catch up. I would be more inclined to return for drinks and appetizers rather than a meal.

There are two Anepalco restaurants unfortunately (and fortunately,) located both in Orange, CA, which people get confused. To separate the two is this restaurant is at Main St. (aka Anepalco Mexican Restaurant - Main) and the other one is in the Ayres' ALO Hotel (aka Anepalco Mexican Restaurant - Chapman) according to their website. Another difference is that this place (Main) is more of a cafe so it is a casual/family setting. I tried both Anepalcos and each of them have their own uniqueness so I recommend you visit both of them. Food is pretty much the same with a slightly different menu options. Their signature dishes are chilaquiles and guava french toast so definitely check them out. The service here is superb as the server frequently makes sure that we have everything we need and checks if are having a great time, which we did.

Anepalco is located inside the ALO hotel. We came here on the weekend and it was pretty busy. Food, drinks, and service was good. We ordered green chilaquiles, lamb tatemado, and wagyu ribeye tacos. The wagyu ribeye was tender and juicy. Probably one of the best I've ever had. The restaurant is near the Outlets of Orange. Definitely recommend stopping by here for brunch when you're in the area.

Came for lunch. Ordered ceasar salad, horchata fresh toast and chilaquiles and abueleta's hot coco. Everything was delicious 10/10, except the salad. Not a bad salad, just very basic salad with croutons and dressing.

It's been a couple of years since I've been here but we had breakfast here today and it was delicious. We agreed to share the horchata French toast which was sooooo delicious. It wasn't overly sweet, it was the perfect combination of flavors for a French toast. I also had the norteña omelette which is described on the menu as short rib barbacoa. The meat is tender and full of flavor and they definitely fill the omelette with a large portion of the meat. The chilaquiles are beautifully presented and full of flavor. If you're expecting crunchy they are not, but they are so tasty. I also ordered the orange, pineapple, Jamaica agua Fresca which was soooo good. No refills on the agua but it was worth the extra charge for it. Service was great, placed our orders and were attended to. Definitely recommend if you want great flavors, filling portions, and a satisfied tummy.

Ordered the guava French toast and chilaquiles divorciados. Both were ok - nothing too special. The chilaquiles was too soggy and both sauces were overly salty. I think it would have helped if there was protein that came with it... maybe salmon. The guava French toast wasn't very impressionable... I think I had high expectations since it's a dish that isn't commonly served. Coffee was so so too.

I've been going here for many years. Discovered this place when I lived in Orange, and my goal was to visit again for a brunch upon our arrival back in the city. So we hopped in the car for 4 hours and promptly reached the front doors, hungry and excited. Looks like they've changed the menu since I was last there, but the food was as amazing as I remember. We split the Tacos Al Pastor and Nortena Omelette with short rib barbacoa, Oaxaca cheese, salsa milpera, rustic bread and salad. Everything - down to the last detail of the amazing salad dressing - was fantastic. Some of the best al pastor I've ever had. This is a must for anyone local or visiting. Can't wait until I'm next in town!

I came for the chilaquiles and left disappointed. I had the chilaquiles divorciados ( half red and half green). Presentation was beautiful! I preferred the red sauce, which seems chili based instead of tomatoes ( and that's a good thing). Where they failed is the chips was super soggy, like a clump of wet tortillas. Chilaquiles should still have some form and some crisp. There were zero accommodations they would make for my vegan friend, so sadly she only had a coffee. She had asked for a bean burrito or bean torta but was told it was chefs policy to not make any accommodations. Service was great and the wait staff was wonderful.

By far the best chilaquiles I've ever had!! I first found out about this restaurant years ago I believe the late Jonathan Gold posted them and I tried them out and have not stopped coming. They are consistent with their food and the server there is always so accommodating with all our needs since we have our 3 under 3 kiddos. The dinning area is a bit small but they also have a few tables outside. We usually order a mocha abuelita which is like a Mexican hot chocolate with coffee it's really good and they always have aguas frescas and they are always so fresh and delicious. The chilaquiles and guava French toast is what we drive out there for and recently we tried their huevos divorciados with carne asada and it's my new fav!

service was slow and sub par. the waitress only came around when she damn well felt like it. Extremely overpriced for the tiny portions. Flavor is good but not better than any normal Mexican restaurant that services a decent portion. Don't order the carnitas, you might as well ask for a lean cuisine. its literally a child size portion. The pork belly appetizer was so underwhelming. They put tiny pieces of pork belly on corn and Guac and call it an appetizer. it's a joke, it has to be. The queso fundido is half adobo cream and again, the tiniest portion. not good to share. this reminds me of people who want to be fancy, but the food is not meant to be fancy so it's just absurd.

On a heavily rainy day, we were starving after morning errands, and foraging for food. My craving meter says breakfast burritos, hence we landed here at Anepalco. The place smells so good, presumably some carne roasting in the kitchen. I got my usual, the tender breakfast burritos. It is yummy and I was happy. As I indulged my order, I am flabbergasted by the presentation of the Chilaquiles. I've never seen something so grant before. Their serving size is really for sharing or the ravenous. I can't tell you if the food is 100 on the authenticity scale, but it tick off my delicious box!

Parking a little tight but additional parking on the back. It is a hole on the wall do not miss it. Our server very informative, we had lots of questions about some dishes and special requests as to what to leave out or in the side, took Mom (elderly) little picky but totally a fan of Mexican food, waitress very patient. The food was absolutely delicious the presentation was gorgeous and the flavors amazing. We will definitely be coming back.

We came here around 1pm for brunch/lunch and food was decent. Portion size was small however especially after finishing a grueling hike. Service was good. Tried their chilaquiles and enchiladas. Food was fresh and tasting good. It wasn't that spicy. Easy to find parking near the hotel. Clean space and had a relaxing ambiance to the whole place.

This place does not disappoint!!! The restaurant is small and doesn't look like much but the food is ON POINT!!! We went on a Wednesday at 11am was pretty empty. Service was fast. The omelets and French toast were so delicious I was lucky to get a photo of the omelets before we inhaled it! Ask for the red salsa it has a good kick.

So yummmmy ! everything! and bite! When I'm down in orange and they are open, I consider it the best way to treat myself!

We gave this place another try and I'm glad we did. I finally found a chilaquiles place that's by the house that is sooo good! Service there is great, they were very accommodating to our baby that threw up (sorry). We will be definitely coming back. FYI: there's extra parking in the back. Very limited parking in front.

Not at all what I was expecting to find. Authentic Food and Gorgeous presentation. They really take a lot of care making sure the food tastes and looks amazing. So glad I found this place.

Over priced hotel restaurant food. The outdoor seating needs updating and the prices should be slightly lower for the quality of the food. Service however, was amazing and the waiters were all very attentive and kind just wish the food was a little better.

Nice Ambiance - Disappointing Food The ambiance is very appealing, service is good and staff are friendly/polite. For Food I ordered the enchiladas and I did not expect them to be spicy/hot but they were. The flavor was lost because the sauce was so hot, I couldn't taste anything. To ensure I wasn't being a baby about the spice I had my friend try and she also commented about how hot it was saying I wasn't being ridiculous. The beans and rice were good also but that was barely anything compared to the entire meal. They did not serve you chips and salsa unless you ordered an appetizer which I thought was strange also. Overall the food was not worth the price and I would not come back.

Amazing food, words literally can't describe. It's not a mexican place that will remind you of your moms cooking, but will have you wishing that's what your childhood was made of. Can be pricey, but they know their worth with those prices. Very unique dishes but still keeping close to roots and highlighting authentic flavors. Service is awesome too. A must try!

Been coming here for ever! This is the original location and it's kinda small inside. Make sure to try the chilaquiles verdes, I usually add protein; carnitas or barbacoa. The huevos divorciados are really good too and you I get to try both the red and green house sauce.

I have been here a few times for breakfast and every experience was consistently decent. Vibe: This is a casual cafe-style restaurant, and it is on the smaller side. Expect to be sitting closer to other patrons and it can be loud if filled up. Parking is extremely limited so you may have to park somewhere else and walk over. The restrooms are located in the back of the restaurant so you will have to walk through the kitchen area to get there. These were not bad for me, but I figured someone who is averse to small spaces should be aware. Food: Huevos Rancheros: The eggs were done well and the tortilla was warm to the touch. The mini-salad threw me off because I did not expect that much. I was not sure what dressing was used, but I think it was balsamic vinegar. The server looked busy since he was the only one working so I did not want to bother him over something trivial like this. The sauce was slightly on the bland side, but not exactly a deal breaker. Huevos Divorciados: Eggs in green and red sauces! I did not taste any spice in either sauce, though. Maybe it is because I am used to spicier food or that was not supposed to have any spiciness to it. The guacamole was a nice touch and the cream was not overwhelming. Hot Abuelita chocolate: I did not know what I was expecting but tasted like regular hot chocolate with milk to me. Guacamole: This was an interesting mix. I like tomatoes and yet it added more tartness to the guacamole than I am used to. The peppers had no flavors, unfortunately, so I am not sure if I would order this again. Overall this place is a solid hit. It did not register a "Wow!" for me, but it was not bad either. Give it a shot and see how you would like it. Note: Anepalco is a smaller restaurant that shares the same name as the larger Anepalco on Chapman Ave (Inside the Alo hotel). They are on different streets but still easy to mix up since they are a few miles apart, in the same city, and share the same name.

This small eatery took me by a surprise! Comfort Mexican crafted food which is visually appealing!!! My friends had the Green Chilaquiles where the corn chips looks like a pineapple rim encircling the eggs and other ingredients. My other friend had the Chicken Mole Enchiladas. The brown mole was smoky, sweet and not too hot. I had the Vegeterian Tacos without the queso fresco and another dairy ingredient! The tortillas were big and homemade. It is served with a side of green salsa. It had shimej mushrooms, corn, epazote, and minced squashes!! The texture of the mushrooms were like meat but I ate without guilt! The green salsa was tasteful! Agua Frescas were like pineapple mixed with Jamaica or melon and served in pewter mugs. The menu is pricey and expect to pay between $12 to $22. They also have other meat like lamb, pork and beef. The menu has different exotic twists on French Toast. The take out containers are sturdy and closes well. The bathroom is unisex and located towards the back of the kitchen..

Overpriced by a lot. Orders the chilaquiles which were not spicy at all, it was a bunch of soggy tortillas wet in some dark some, flavored less. Orders the French toast, which didn't even had any egg in it. It was just soggy, wet in milk and sprinkled with cinnamon in top. $18 dollar for the 3 little pieces of soggy sandwich bread "French toast "?! Are you serious? Won't be back.

The food is something we look forward to as we've enjoyed eating here many times. Today, the server was uninterested in serving us. Our order was incorrect, he never came back to the table after our food was dropped off to refill waters/ coffee or check on us. Other tables were getting service & enjoying their time there. The female server was helping us as she noticed he was not waiting our table- but we did have to make eye contact to get her to come to our table. With so many amazing restaurants in the area, we would not make it a priority to return.

Hey there! So, let me tell you about our experience at this place. It was quite busy, but you know what? I totally understood that the waitstaff had a lot on their plate, so I wasn't bothered at all by the lack of a greeting. But hey, they quickly showed us to our seats once we were in. And let me tell you, the food we ordered was just amazing! We went for the chilaquiles divorciados and the norteña omelette, and trust me, they were absolutely delightful. Oh, and I couldn't resist treating myself to a guava Mimosa and my girlfriend got a cup of coffee. It was all so good!

We went for brunch during a weekday. It didnt seem busy but it took a about 30 minutes to get our food. Once we got our food, the guava french toast was cold...not sure why they didnt brought it out sooner. The food was ok. This used to be my go to brunch place but last few times have been disappointing. However, wanted to give it another chance but still disappointed. Probably not going to come back. Parking is tough but they told us we could park in spots that are labeled blue bowls.

I've been lucky enough to eat here during the pandemic and it's INCREDIBLE. This local OC eatery hosts an intimate crowd but feeds like comfort. Some of the best avocado toast I've ever had and those lamb tacos are out of this world. The entire menu is amazing I only wish I could sit and sample all day. Best part, you can sit outside if you want and still get great service

Went to this place for breakfast; this place is small, so come early if you don't want to wait. They offer both in and out door eating area. We got a Duck carnitas with chili and egg on top with toasts and a chilaquiles, some coffee and a aqua Fresca... The duck carnitas was definitely filling, but not greasy! It had a good flavor and it perfected so well with the warm toasts and the potato added a little bits more texture to the dish. The chilaquiles came with both red and green sauces and my husband said it's super tasty and have a right amount of texture and perfect with the egg on top. The menu is pretty extensive for such a small place! Even though it's just a small and causal local cafe, they tried to present their dishes in a nice way and I was impressed. The service was also very good and attentive.

Decided to check this place out on a Sunday - and considering the day, there was no wait and parking wasn't bad (parking right outside the restaurant and around the building). The location itself is small (indoor and outdoor), one bathroom (located inside the kitchen), overall small joint but clean. Their staff is polite but our food took a long time to come out. We finished our agua fresca which by the way was delicious way before the food ever came out. I get it though, there wasn't a lot of people in the kitchen working. I ordered the enchiladas - amazing presentation but I wish they were more flavorful. And same for the Chilaquiles Divorciados - looked amazing but lacked so much flavor. I was really looking forward to this place but it just didn't hit the spot. Will I be coming back? Probably not.

I love this place! Once of my favorite brunch spots in OC. My favorites are the guava French toast and chilaquiles; always so yummy! Service is always great and super friendly. The parking can be a bit of a struggle. - Queso fundido (4/5): more soupy than what we were expecting, but we were pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was! We needed extra bread when we split among 4 people - Chilaquiles divorciados (5/5): always a favorite. I like the variety of red and green, but green is my favorite. Love the tanginess and the smokiness. Just an amazing flavor profile - Guava French toast (5/5): so good. I love guava flavored everything, and this French toast is perfectly not too sweet, crispy on the edges, just so good - Carne asada (4/5): cooked and seasoned well, beans were tasty as well Highly highly recommend!!

Updating since the chilaquiles can't keep me away. The service is definetly as good as I remember it originally. Best Mexican breakfast in the OC hands down.

They are trying to give a new take on traditional plates, but it's a bit too much. Reminds me of the show gentrified It is located on a single strip of businesses and the parking is limited. Each spot is labeled for the specific business. When you enter you're met with music blasting. I could barely hear my brother talking to me and the tables are small. It was empty when we arrived but got really busy when we were leaving. The menu is limited and we ordered Huevos divorcidados - this is dry and lacked flavor. They packed it with tortillas and enough sauce to say there is some. Perdidos - I had no idea what to expect - but the flavor was good. The serving dish just throws me because it didn't keep the good hot even though it's in a pot Im struggling Between 2-3 stars because I feel bad; I really wanted to like it overall and I can see what they are trying to do.. But ultimately We won't be returning.

First time here, but it most definitely won't be the last. I tried the Norteña Omelette. The meat was tender and the green sauce was spectacular! This has to be the best omelette I've ever had! Of course the Guava French toast were divine, as well!

Excellent good and very friendly service. I have tried the guacamole, ceviche, french toast, and the absolutely amazing chilaquiles w/carnitas. The Aqua Fresca is made fresh daily and iced coffee is very good. The food has great flavor and texture, is fresh and well prepared. The Orange location has limited parking and is a bit cozy, but well worth the walk/wait. Great breakfast/brunch spot!

Food: 3/5 Service:4/5 Environment: 3/5 We ordered take out, and the service was okay. But the quality of the food was fair at best. To be honest, it's too pricey for the quality of the food and there are a lot of other places around that can provide your cravings.

Not what it looks like on IG . Pictures lie sadly. Everything looks good but it's just ok. Will definitely not be back. $15/$17 a plate. Chilaquiles were super soggy and eggs were cold. They charged $1 each for extra onion and sour cream when the plate barely had some watered down sour cream so I had to ask for more. Iced coffee was more ice than coffee. I never got the water I asked for at the beginning . Table was wobbly and the lady saw my husband trying to fix it and all she said was " oh yeah it sucks you gotta fold the napkin" since he was trying to put something under the table's legs so it would stop moving. Never got napkins even though she saw the 2 napkins we had were used to fix the table. Waited a long time for the check. Don't waste your money and time. Try someone else

Great service but no decent parking in the front nor back. Good luck with that. While it looks like a hole in the wall, it's near the mall so I'd say it's pretty popular. The ladies who served us the food and drinks were really nice and attentive on a Tuesday morning. Free coffee refills and they got our food out quick. Columbian coffee: according to my brother, tasted like the Costco columbian ground coffee. Abuelita hot chocolate: warm milk with some spices. Wasn't enough chocolate nor cinnamon to call it hot chocolate though. I'd say an 85% milk taste ratio. Wouldn't recommend it unless you just like milk. Al pastor tacos: two big tacos with plenty of pork but kind of bland. Needed more salsa or just plain salt and pepper. I've had better al pastor so I wouldn't recommend these. Green enchiladas: the best dish honestly. Not only was the presentation really cool but the flavors were all there. Tangy but savory. We added carne asada and it definitely went well with the sauces and tortilla. The egg on top was also a nice touch. It looks like a lot of sauce but honestly, you'll eat all of it. Overall, definitely a great place for brunch, especially since they're not open for dinner. Decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating too but definitely carpool or park across the street and walk. The service was also very home-like.

I've had the chilaquiles at this location and their other location just to be sure it wasn't a fluke and I have to say both times the chilaquiles came out soggy and unappetizing. As unique looking as it was, the sogginess just ruined the dish.

Anepalco has become a frequent spot when I'm in Anaheim. I still say they have the best Chilaquiles I've ever had. I always get the Roja which is a nice mix of spice and flavor. The portion is large so you won't leave hungry. I've told so many people about the restaurant as it truly one of the places I love to go when I'm in town. I want to go back and see what else is on their menu, but for now give me their Chilaquiles and a peach iced tea and I'm a happy boy.

The food is great but the service is slow .The ladies working there were just chatting by the cashier.I have to wave at them to be sitted.
