"Restaurant Anfiteatro, located above the bay of Ponta Delgada, served as the rehearsal dinner venue for Ariel and Johan's wedding. As an arm of the local culinary school, Escola de Formação Turística dos Açores, it is known for hosting famous international chefs, ensuring the food quality was exceptional. The venue itself is described as beautiful, complementing the culinary experience."

My favorite meal on the island! The sangria was light and lovely, the shrimp bao entree had a delightful mix of crispy shrimp, spicy sauce, and soft bun, and the creme brulee with lime sorbet was the best I've had in ages. The windows overlooking the marina give a great dinner view too

We went to the Anfiteatro Restaurant for dinner without pre-booking. But it was no problem to get a table for two. We had cocktails upfront, which were great! The food we ordered was good; the french fries could have been more crisp. The service is not good; very much in a learning mode; language skills needs to be improved as well.

We had a wonderful meal here. The server was great…so polite and attentive. We had salad, a burger and chicken wraps. Everything was delicious. It’s a nice space and good views of the harbour. You don’t feel claustrophobic like in some other restaurants. We highly recommend this lovely establishment!! Kudos to all working there!

What an incredible dining experience! I haven’t had this quality of food for the price ever before. Elevated, well flavored, unique, inventive and exquisite.

Amazing dinner, great drinks, sweet and opservant service. Teaching restaurant for practical experience for students in the service business. The teachers do an amazing job. Not the last time we visit. 👍🫶

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem! Amazing food, great staff, charming atmosphere with a view of sunsets above the docks. No reservations were required when we dined here numerous times in September. We have tried many of the most recommended restaurants in Sao Miguel, but for us this one is certainly one of the best. We felt that it gets way less attention than it deserves. P.S. The cheese board is a must try!

Excellent lunch/dinner option, the kitchen is very skilled and the service is good (with minor mistakes as they are still learning). The price/quality ratio is exceptional.

Fun little restaurant on the wharf that provided us with the best meal we've had so far on the island! The waiter told us the chefs are part of the culinary school in town, and use this as their kitchen. We got the fish soup and ceviche for appetizers. Short ribs and pasta for main course. Finished with azorean orange cake and apple pie for dessert. The service was great, food out promptly, and tasted amazing.

Yelp
Awesome place! Great prices from what I heard. IDK about the cost because it was a special thing and was paid for by the school and not us.
