Angad Arts Hotel St. Louis, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

We stayed here to catch the Phantom of the Opera at the Fabulous Fox and the location was EXCELLENT! The blue room is cute however I do think it needs a bit more lighting. The hotel itself is gorgeous and a piece of art by itself. We went to the Art Bar on the rooftop and the staff were so kind to us. The bartending crew even made me a birthday martini with a candle and sang happy birthday to me! We had the margherita pizza and charcuterie board and it was very good and worth the price. The staff overall were very friendly and we felt very safe the entire time in and around the hotel. We will definitely be staying here during our next St. Louis trip!

Parking is not ideal. Do not bring a full size truck, it will not fit in the parking lot gates or in parking spot. The lobby is on the 12th floor.... this was very confusing when checking in and not seeing the 8 1/2 x 11" sign saying where the lobby is located. Also, there are multiple elevators and only 1 will get you to lobby without a key card. We had to walk around and ask where the check in is and how to get there. This lobby location detail was NOT stated on the website or any email confirming when check in is. It was a complete surprise. We stayed in a green room, while it was sufficient, it did not have a comforting vibe. The plush chair in the corner had (i can only guess) white smears on it. It was in obvious easy to see location and was NOT clean. I reported to the desk right away and they gave us free parking for the inconvenience. Which turned into only 1 night free parking not our whole stay. The electrical outlet in the bathroom did not work. We tried to reset the GFI and still had no luck. The amount of times we smelled Marijuana was nauseating, the 4th floor bellowed the smell into the elevator when the doors opened. The entrance reaked of the smell from the people standing outside smoking pot. The restaurant on the first floor had a good breakfast. The bar on the roof had an excellent staff and great views. The location was why we picked this hotel. It's the closest to the Fox Theater, at a half a block away. Would we stay here again, NO. But the location and the bar and restaurant were is only saving graces.

We stayed the weekend of January 16. This hotel is so unique with the art all around the hotel. It still needs some help. The water was only got to lukewarm at best. It made for quick showers. I've added a photo of my injury from the bed frame sticking out too far. The carpenters should get in there & redesign the corners of these frames. The furnace is noisy & difficult to control. It's either freezing cold or very hot. On the positive side, the staff are always great. The beds are very comfortable. The view is nice. The atmosphere is wonderful. The area & walkability is good for our purposes. The food was good too. If they could get some of these problems under control, I could definitely give it 5 stars.

This is a hard review to write, because I’m not typically one to write negative reviews. However, this one is warranted. When we arrived, our hotel room was not ready for us to check in, even after check in time. There was a long line of other people waiting to check in with the same problem. This was our first issue. When we got into our room, we were disappointed to find that the thermostat had no other option than “warm” or “cool”. There is no way to adjust the temperature, so we either froze or burned up. The telephone didn’t work in the room, so there was no way to contact the front desk aside from leaving the room to do so. The room was INCREDIBLY dark, with at least 1 of the very few & very dim light fixtures not working. This made it hard to do simple tasks even during daylight hours. I wish I could review the restaurant and bar staff separately, because they were TOP NOTCH. The hotel, while unique in its artistic style, was just so-so, and the service was lackluster. Not sure how this place has the rating it does. And for it to be a Hilton property - that’s the most disappointing part.

We chose this hotel in St. Louis for my stepdaughter's wedding party and guests to stay due to its proximity to downtown and to the wedding venue. The hotel is very beautifully decorated and hotel rooms are clean and spacious. The large suite we used as the bridal suite was perfect with enough room for the bridesmaids to get ready, have hair and makeup done, as well as the bride to get dressed. |The hotel rooftop bar was great for wedding guests and the wedding party to gather the night before the wedding and the bartenders were great.|Planning for the big day at this hotel was easy with the Sales department and Abby, our event coordinator, was great, as was Isaac who also assisted. |We did have some issues with the hotel front desk staff and communication, but the hotel did rectify the situation and we were overall pleased with the hotel. If staying in downtown St. Louis again, I would book this hotel again.

Really loved the vibe of this hotel! From the lobby to the gym to the rooms, everything looked amazing and super artsy….just like the name says. The rooftop bar had gorgeous views of the skyline and was such a nice spot to hang out, though the bartender wasn’t very friendly and honestly looked like he didn’t want to be there. I had to get some work done, and the hotel was great for that. There’s a beautiful conference room that was open, so I parked myself there for a while, and there’s also a cute little area by the check-in desk where you can work or just chill. The location was perfect! We walked to a few breweries and some of the main tourist spots with no problem. We love to walk when we travel, so to us, it was walkable. I brought our husky mix, and it was super pet-friendly with lots of open space for walks. The beds were super comfy, we had a nice view, and the area felt safe and welcoming. Best part? Tons of free street parking, so we didn’t have to pay for a garage. Overall, loved the stay and would totally come back again!

I've stayed at a lot of Hilton Hotels and usually one of the best things about them is the customer service. Not at this one. Unfortunately got into town several hours early and stop by here to see if able to check in early. This was 1pm and check in is 4pm. They gave me the standard answer of we don't have an early checkin but will call if it gets cleaned early. Now, I am not expecting them to get the cleaning service to make a beeline for my room, but surely they can be asked to move it up the list. I never receive a call and wasn't able to check in until 3:55pm. When I ask the girl at the desk, which was a different girl, I get a smart reply that she isn't the one that I spoke to so she had nothing to do with it. Not a sorry we couldn't get you in earlier or sorry she didn't call you. By the way I have gotten in a couple of hours early to every other Hilton I can think of. The only reason they get a 2 is the room was clean and nice, though not very big. I would suggest maybe they put some focus on those that keep them in business, the customer.

How to start. My wife and I have stayed at the Angad art hotel through out the past 7 years. When we first stayed there it was very unique out of any place we have ever stayed. The art was amazing and the hotel it-self was in my mind the place we wanted to stay whenever we would come to the Stlouis area especially when we attended any functions at the Taylor music center (which was across the street). Now for the disappointing part. I booked a room at the Angad arts hotel recently for me and my family. We were excited about showing the kids the cool hotel (especially the cool but freaky looking eye pillows in the rooms). Our check in was easy and fast especially when the front desk is on the 12th floor (which is kinda cool as well). After parking our vehicle in the hotel payparking lot. We made our way to our room 817 which turned out to be a yellow room. We had never stayed in the yellow room before and that was different but not overwhelming. The room was quiet and you could not hear the street below which was great. My wife and i were disappointed to see that there were no eyeball pillows on the beds (which we wanted the kids to see and experience). I noticed that there were a few things that needed to have maintenance take care of (see photos). The phone cord to the room phone needed replaced. The globe to one of the nightstand lights was missing and the hook to hang your towel on while your in the shower was coming off the wall. The beds were comfortable and seemed clean. In my opinion the room could have used one more chair in it and the glass coffee cups would not allow the sensor on the room coffee make to work so I had to use the to go cup before it would dispense coffee. We took the kids on a tour of the hotel and were disappointed to see that all but maybe 2 of the cool instruments that were displayed in the main lobby were gone. We noticed in the hallway outside of our room that there was a dilapidated bag cart. We didnt think much of it and I thought that someone from the hotel would probably remove it later it was still there when we checked out the next day. There seemed to be a smoke detector alarm going off in one of the adjoining rooms which we made sure that the hotel staff was notified of. I said all this to say that for a Hilton property it wasn't up to what I would think is Hiltons standards plus the Angad hotel has seemed to have deteriorated over time and its slowly heading that way. I hope I am wrong because we do like the hotel and its location. I'm aware that I will receive a response back from the hotel management apologizing for our experience but my main reason for this review was the hope that someone will bring the standard back up and make the hotel one of the Stlouis areas top stays. DO BETTER. Respectfully

It's a pop up bar called Moose Lounge. Supposedly a flash back of the classic movie National Lampoon Christmas Vacation. In my opinion this was an epic fail. Total let down !!! Advertisements on social media were fantastic. I was actually fighting to get here to partake in all the festivities of the supposedly fun food , drink and picturesque moments. Starting off this disaster of an evening parking is unheard of. Nowhere on the website does it tell you parking is limited street parking and because it's located in a hotel the parking lot is reserved for guest! I'm so happy I actually found someone leaving and grabbed the parking space. It's paying parking lots and garages all around and I'm telling you it's not worth the $20/30 fee at all. Once we get to the ph floor you get off the elevator make two lefts and that is literally the bar. Very limited seating and bar space. Limited staff and jammed packed. Mediocre props and lighting. Rooftop vibes would have been nice and spacious and more seating but the weather was not accommodating so that is why it was packed on the inside I'm guessing. FYI if you're going to try the pop up experience you have to make it comfortable for all customers . There should have been some heaters outside and fire pits . I was very disappointed in this experience and I will not be back . I'm giving two stars only for the advertising , view and tricking me down here !

Nice rooftop bar with large view of STL city. Indoor and outdoor seating available. They serve food also. Elevator to top floor for entry of course. Different DJs on different nights. I think they do live music too. Street and garage parking available. Recommended.

Great food amazing views. Drinks were ok. They had only one server for the bar and outdoors so it was slow. She was great though. Definitely worth coming for the views

My husband brought me here for the first time on my birthday in September last year. I believe it was a Wednesday night. The space is beautiful. There is a dance floor, indoor and outside seating area with five or six private-ish cabana type seating and it's covered for inclement weather. The bar area has a nice amount of seating and they have a great selection of liquor choices. They also have bar food like tacos and sliders and fries I believe. We ordered tacos and they were OK. Nothing to write home about, just basic bar food chicken tacos. Our drinks were also good! We had a great time THAT night. I have been back two more times and the bartenders attitudes have been consistently poor. I almost didn't even order a drink the last time I came for my husband's birthday in June; we came in like an hour and a half before closing time. There was like 6 or 7 of us. The 2 bartenders there were not pleasant at all, damn near had attitudes that we came with a SMALL group. They didn't smile, barely greeted us, barely wanted to address our party, like?? What's the problem? Idk if I'll be back.... But if I do decide to come back, I absolutely plan to bring it to a managers attention if I receive subpar service.

Excellent customer service by bartender and manager. My friends and I rented an igloo on the rooftop terrace. It was 70 degrees today so way too hot to use it. The manager offered to reimburse us or give us a free round of drinks. The bartender tried everything in his power to make the igloo comfortable. This hotel is a hidden gem! The decor is so beautiful, different, colorful. Lots of unique art. The rooftop terrace is a perfect spot to unwind and hangout. The food and drinks were really good.

This roof top bar in the heart of Grand Center has one of the best views of the city. The perfect spot to grab a drink before or after a show at the Fox Theatre, the Sheldon, or dinner nearby. We most recently visited for their rooftop pumpkin patch. They had a few seasonal drinks we wanted to try. But, the Art Bar is always fun regardless of the weather (it's temperature controlled inside, but you have the option to go outside on 2 different rooftop patios). Here are the fall -themed drinks we tried: *Apple Crisp: caramel vodka and apple liqueur with a cinnamon graham cracker rim *Pumpkin Spice Mule: spiced rum, pumpkin puree and ginger beer *Cherry Pie: caramel vodka and cherry liqueur with a graham cracker rim. This was my favorite! *Pumpkin Spice Espresso Martini: espresso, vodka, pumpkin cream liqueur , Kahlua, and pumpkin puree. Would be perfect when it gets a bit colder! *Black & Bourbon: bourbon, hazelnut liqueur, and coffee liqueur Here are the snacks we enjoyed: *The Cheese Board was so original! They had a bright green cheese with basil & thyme and the red cheese was soaked in wine! We also had some more ordinary cheeses but everything was elevated with the fig jam. There's a separate charcuterie board if you want meat. *The St. Louis Flatbread was served hot! We loved the 3 cheese blend and sausage pizza. *The Chicken Tacos were more than just ordinary. Lots of fillings: ancho chicken, black bean & corn salsa, avocado crema, cotija cheese, and cilantro. They have street parking on the side of the building. I have never parked in their lot, so I have no idea how much valet costs.

Went to drag brunch here. Queens get 7/5 stars. Super talented in different amazing ways. Will try to see them again wherever they are performing. Hotel decor is lovely. Food was 3/5. Room was 2/5 (not their usual place but a support beam in the middle was not idea for a performance.) Service was 4/5. Price was 1/5. (Coffee was extra at a brunch like wut?) Parking is also 1/5 but we all know that going to midtown.

4.5/5 Stars (a STRONG 4.5) I have been wanting to stay at this hotel since it first opened years ago! I took a tour when they opened courtesy of Yelp (how fitting) and fell in love with the concept of "mood-based" rooms. That's right. You pick your room based on the mood you want to achieve. There are four colors to choose from: yellow, green, blue, and red. All of the rooms feature a fully immersive experience as everything in the rooms is color-coordinated - the walls, ceilings, drapes, furniture, etc. I chose a blue king room when coming back home to STL last week for a night. It was super cute! It was very calming and I loved that there were books in the room as decoration (and to read if you like), as well a small zen garden in the window! I LOVED THAT!!! Another great aspect of the room was that it was very quiet. That could have been due to not many people on my floor (if anyone else was there as it was mid-week), but even the busy traffic on Grand could barely be heard from my 11th floor room. The hotel lobby is on the 12th floor so that was a bit interesting taking a rather long walk from my rental car at the entrance, up the elevator to the front desk and then back down again to park the car in their lot and then again, back up the elevator to my room. The front desk attendant was very friendly and helpful. All of the staff there was friendly, as well as my waitress at Commonwealth for breakfast at the hotel. So why 4.5 stars and not 5? My only complaint with my room was that it was too dark. :( I tried to get over this but couldn't. I had to use my phone flashlight to be able to read things in the room. There were only 5 lights in the room (not including the bathroom). This included the entrance/hallway light, the desk light (which was cute but intentionally dim), a dimly lit shaded floor lamp, a sconce by the bed, and a small reading light on the other end of the bad attached to the headboard. Sorry to be a granny but I needed at least one more light - maybe a ceiling chandelier, another floor lamp, something! Aside from that, this hotel was beautiful and the room was super cute! I highly recommend Angad Arts Hotel and encourage you to check it out even if it's just to see the beautiful artwork throughout the hotel and to grab a drink in the rooftop bar!

We made a reservation for the rooftop igloos, and it was a super cool experience! We paid $100 to rent the igloos for 2 hours, and it fit up to 6 people. They provided blankets and comfy chairs for everyone. There was a $100 food and drink minimum, which wasn't hard to reach with all 6 of us eating and drinking. They had holiday cocktails which were all yummy! The food items we got included a charcuterie board, pork belly, ceviche, cheese curds. The cocktails were a bit pricey, but kind of expected for a rooftop bar in the city. The parking was a bit difficult, especially on a weekend with events going on, but we found street parking. The service was good overall. - Charcuterie board (4/5): a good variety of meats and cheeses, reasonable portion size. We asked for nuts on the side due to an allergy, and they forgot to do that first time around so we got a second plate without charge. - Ceviche (3/5): this was okay, pretty basic chips. Ceviche tasted fine but not the most fresh. - Pork belly (3.5/5): this was tasty, seasoned well. Just felt like the meat should have come with some sort of carb, as it was just served as like meat on a bed of lettuce. - Cheese curds (4/5): these were actually super tasty. And came with bean empanadas on the side which were the best part, super flavorful and good for sharing.

This is a difficult review. The hotel room and facility was quite unique. I have been here in the past at the roof top bar. This was the first time I planned to stay the night. Check in was fairly easy, but you do have to check in to get the pass to get into the parking lot, so it takes longer to get settled. It was late so we went straight up to the room. We got one of the red rooms. Everything was red! It was a great room and we settled in and went to sleep for the night. When we woke we messed around the room and decided to take a shower. No water in the shower. Toilet flushes, sink works but dribbles out the shower head. So we called to the reception desk and told her what we were experiencing and we were told someone from maintenance would come up and look at it. 45 min goes by. We call down again and they apologized and said they would call us when someone was on the way. 30 min goes by. I decide to go reception because at this point, we need to get out of here. Christina calls down and gets put on hold. When I met with the representative, I could tell she was frustrated. I don't think she was getting any response from maintenance on the situation. I asked her to just give us another room key so we could just shower and leave. She started working on that but again, was having computer issues with generating a key on a room that we were not check into. Someone came out and helped her release a room that was out of service due to a/c work, to allow the system to programs a key. Finally he got one and walked me up to the other room to take our showers. Here is the bottom line. The difference between great service and average service really comes down to what happens when something goes wrong. How are your employees trained to react to a bad situation? Ultimately, they got us a room, but the time between when we initiated the call to having zero follow up until I went to the front desk and left the hotel almost 2 hours later than planned was frustrating.

Can't beat the view here but unfortunately the mixed drinks are all misses. I've been here a few times over the years - mostly after a show at the Fox - and several times have been turned away because there wasn't enough staff to open. Hopefully we are far enough out of the covid-era now that they can be open more regularly. They had a DJ playing live music this past Sunday afternoon and my friend and I really enjoyed the ambiance. A good spot for a round of drinks on a nice day however I've tried different cocktails here at least 3 times and my advice is to stick with the beer or canned cocktails.

Art Bar review only: Madison was an amazing server. Personable, prompt, gave excellent suggestions and was attentive the entire visit. The food was delicious however the Sri is were sub par and we had to order additional shots or adjust each drink k which was a bit off putting. As frequent diner's we equate bad drinks to bad food. Although I won't allow this to tarnish the entire experience I would highly suggest management address the bar tending. Paying $12-$20 for a watered down, garnished cocktail is unacceptable. ~Christy

Reviewing Color Your Winter Igloo Experience: Great time trying out of one of the igloos here last night at Color Your Winter Igloo Experience! It was a $100 to reserve the igloo and $100 food and drink minimum and you can have up to a group of 6. The igloo was so nice and cozy, with blankets and heaters. Located on the penthouse floor of the building so you have a pretty cool view as well. Portion sizes are a bit smaller so you'll have to order several plates to feed a larger group. The cheese curd plate came with these mushroom empanadas, definitely a favorite for our group. The holiday cocktails were awesome! The sleigh ride drink with crème de menthe (think boozy hot chocolate), cranberry mule, bobbing for apples, and peppermint patty were some of our favorites. Our waitress was so kind and provided excellent service. Definitely get a reservation if you can and while you're there go check out all the neat/funky art they have!

Beautiful large rooms & incredible stand-alone tub! Interesting art pieces for purchase. Not much in the area food-wise, but highly recommend staying here for the experience

A friend invited me to a Yelp event and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The view of the city was beautiful with a nice outside balcony area to socialize and meet new friends. The food was great with a selection of cocktails. The service did ok with keeping up with so many people. They could have used another bartender as the libes got long. This is definitely a hidden gem.

We would have appreciated being told, when making our reservation, that there would be extremely loud construction going on next door starting before 7am each morning. We would have either requested a room on the other side of the building or chosen to stay somewhere else. Apparently the construction has been going on for quite some time (and there is no end in sight). We had a pretty miserable stay.

Hey Yelp Friends!!!! So I decided to book a hotel in St. Louis as my job is paying for me to find a place to live. I'll be relocating here end of July! So, I arrived exactly at 1pm CST. Pros: The art is beautiful! In The hotel. The rooms and the decor is gorgeous!!! Ended up getting the yellow room!! Cons: the front desk staff was inconsiderate when I arrived. I specifically asked for an early check-in and late check out in my reservation. However, he was like no & informed me that check-in was at 4pm. Hotel Isn't busy at all btw. He also said that all his people checked out at 12pm (an hour before). Lastly, when we asked if we could at least park our vehicle in the lot (our parking was free) he said no only when he gives us a key. But, he did a pre-check and charged my card (WTF). For $191 a night (includes $30 breakfast in price), I expected decent service and accommodations. I will say, I would not have had this problem at a Hilton, Marriott, hell even at a Holiday Inn. Ended up sitting in my car until the room was ready. Checked in at 3pm. Lobby was difficult to locate. You have to park in the back and enter through back door. Once in, the signage is difficult to locate. Ended up getting on the elevator to figure out that the lobby is on the 12th floor. We ended up walking through the building before getting on the elevator initially as we thought the lobby was on the first floor butttttt no. Also, when you arrive you have to go up to the 12th floor check-in go back down park your car and come right back up! This entire experience rubbed me the wrong way! I tried to do something different and womp!!

Such a super cool and chic hotel. There's lots of artwork on display all throughout the building, some of it interactive. You choose your room color, be it red, yellow, blue, or green. Our green king suite was large and comfortable with the bedroom separated from the living room. The linens are ultra plush, and the bathroom is stocked with quality Molton Brown products. As you explore the hotel, you'll find a reading room full of books and publications, and the music room with a variety of stringed instruments for playing. You must enjoy a drink at the rooftop bar, offering a fabulous downtown view. Breakfast each morning in the dining room is tasty, filling, and reasonably priced. You can't beat the location of this hotel. The Fox Theatre is down the street, and you'll have quick access to the Forest Park area where you can experience the zoo, museums, a science center, The Muny Theatre, and a boathouse with a restaurant. My next visit to St. Louis, I know exactly where I'm staying!

Stayed at the hotel and went to the rooftop bar Saturday night and was really not impressed. The wines available were not good and there's nothing there except seating outside. The area around the hotel is not good at all and this is coming from a seasoned New Yorker. I was told by many people not too walk around the area even during the day. The hotel itself is nice however there was lots of hair around the bathroom right when I checked in.

We booked the hotel for our anniversary, because we made plans downtown, but the hotel in itself was a great experience! They had an art show on the lower level as we came into the building. The staff was very nice. The rooms and the building was very fun, and super colorful, with the art theme. The rooftop bar and grill offers an amazing view of the city! It also offers many types of comfortable seating areas to accommodate everyone, whether you're there to eat dinner or just relax with friends and enjoy the scenery! The only downfall was the construction next door that began at 7am on a Saturday. It sounded like trains were going by every few minutes. That's not the hotel's fault. I just wish we had a room further from the construction. We weren't planning on the awful awakening on Saturday morning.

How can we celebrate Father's Day but still socially distance. You do a staycation, take additional Lysol spray, and have a picnic in the room. We had very friendly service, with everyone having on masks. The room was very clean, and i was happy there were few guests. The room is beautiful and the blue was very relaxing. The bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows. The tub is deep and comfortable. Huge windows with great light when you want it and nice dark blue curtains for when you don't. I'm excited to go back when everything is open and update my review.

The gem of a hotel nestled in the art district of mid town has quiet the staff and allure that someone would be looking for to have an exciting weekend away. The entire hotel is art... one pop full of color at a time. They have color themed rooms. I have stayed in the red and green now and both were exactly what the hotel states they offer. A different spin on hospitality. Everyone from the front desk ladies, to the housekeeping and chefs/ waiters at the first floor restaurant... were amazing!! My husband and I were happy for the location as well since the Fox Theatre and Powell Hall are in very close vicinity to the hotel. Check it out... you will fall in love with Angad Arts Hotel.

I never wanted to leave this hotel y'all. I fell in love with the Angad upon first glance of the first floor just to realize that wasn't even the official hotel lobby! The founder of this hotel seriously ripped a page from my thoughts and put all of my creativity and day dream thoughts into reality. It was like every random burst of happiness was thrown into this hotel. I loved every single second of my stay here including the snowmageddon (I'm from the South so I'm not used to snow) in early December which left me spending a whole day exploring the hotel. The amount of art and artist installations in this boutique hotel just screams excitement. The larger than life lamp installation with the rotating videos, the eclectic paintings from Paula Haniszewski, the conference room, and the play/music room in that luxurious purple velvet were all some of my favorite moments. I was given a yellow themed room and it was quirky in the best way possible. The bathroom was massive and the shower had amazing water pressure. Credit needs to be given to the toiletries they provided because I wanted to swipe them all haha. They were so good and high quality. A big reason for my love of this hotel was how superb the staff was at the front 24/7. No matter when I needed something including a possible extra night they always had a smile on their face and were so accommodating. The city of St. Louis y'all have a hidden gem that I hope you forever cherish.

Ok so the bartender was great but management let her down, no chef, no food not even snacks available????? They have two bars and minimal menu on first floor zero menu penthouse bar? Rooms? This is the TINIEST king suite ever! A suite has at least minimally separated rooms- putting a support column in the middle of the room does not a suite make. Location is good, private parking a plus but at $17/nite not advertised I little steep. Visual appeal is good

We took a break from touring the city for a drink on the roof of our hotel. The rain held off while we were up here. The bartender was very nice. In addition to the wine and vodka we had a flatbread which was really a small pizza. But it was ok.

I came here with some friends and had a reservation for the igloo chalet. It was relatively warm inside and they provided blankets as well. Our server was awesome and the holiday cocktails were incredible. We rented the igloo for 2 hours but our server was so kind to take care of us for 3 hours since we were the last reservation and let us stay late. The hotel itself was also super funky and located near Saint Louis University and the Fox Theater. The hotel is essentially an artwork in itself. Will definitely consider reserving a room at the Angad Arts for a staycation after a show at the Fox.

Went for pre FOX show DAPS. The roof top bar was serviced by a single bar tender doing drink orders food orders and table service . The caveat is that she put all she had into it! otherwise it would have been intolerable! A typical bar tender wouldn't even care. I would say most people that were up there left out of frustration. Take your chances if you're not expecting much and have a lot of time.

This review is for their New Years Eve Party and facilities in general as I have not stayed as a hotel guest. I questioned giving 2 stars not staying as a guest but the hotel had two chances to wow me and both fell flat. See my review of the adjoining restaurant which was also meh. During an event at the hotel, which was poorly under-serviced at the rooftop bar, I was convinced by the events coordinator to come to their NYE party. I mean, the hotel is gorgeous and brand new. They'll blow this one up! Wrong. I convinced 6 friends to pay $100 a ticket for this mess (one visiting from NYC). There is a ballroom on the 12th floor which during my first tour, they described using the view as the backdrop for the bar during weddings. You can see all of Grand Ave and the FOX marquee. It's a lovely ballroom. Instead, for the NYE party, they used a ballroom down a dark corridor, up a service elevator to the 2nd floor, and window-less. My friends and I were so excited to see what the Angad Arts would do for NYE to showcase that they are new and fresh and ready to host! They advertised PREMIUM open bar. Now, I know how this NYE hotel party thing goes. They all pretty much suck. They all advertise premium liquor and serve crap with long lines and bad music. I thought Angad could rise above. It was an open bar you'd see at a Soulard pre-Blues game. Gin and vodka brands I did not recognize. ONE bartender. 25 people in line when we got there. Rest assured they couldn't make a manhattan or anything like that. Why is it so damned hard to get good drinks at a NYE party? We immediately left the "ballroom" to look around the hotel. They have a beautiful area on the 12th floor near the check-in with a small bar, velvet chairs and games. The rooftop bar is decent as well. Now, for $100 and a long line at the party, you'd think maybe we could get a drink at one of these bars? Nope. Gotta pay up for those. We came back up there around 11 PM and they were packing it all up. No one was there, no one. Eventually deciding we needed a decent drink, we paid $60 for cocktails (in a plastic cup!) on the rooftop. Again, ONE bartender on NYE. Total for the night: $660 + fees and really nothing to eat. I shared all of my opinions with every manager I could find, wishing I was able to catch the woman that convinced me to come to this. Multiple people were complaining to them about the situation. The party was lame, the lines were long (they eventually added a bartender), the booze was cheap, and the "entertainment" dancers were awful. Hors D'oeuvres were three tiny items ($100 worth, eh?). Taste Bar has a great NYE event with an actual full open bar of their delicious cocktails and it's about the same price, just sells out very quickly. Here are my recommendations to the Angad, who had every change to WOW all of those guests, and fell absolutely flat: - Open the entire hotel to the party. All 3 bars and areas. The ballroom-style-only is old and lame. Be dynamic. - Serve actual premium liquor and make real drinks, not vodka/crans and gin/tonics with no name booze. Yuck. - Get burlesque dancers or drag queens or something actually entertaining. - Serve some sort of dessert or chocolate and more hors d'oeuvres - Hire a real event coordinator Props to employee Justin who commiserated with us, hypothesized a good party, showed us the green room suite and gave us some good laughs. Put him in charge. The GM of the "hotel side" also seemed concerned about all the issues but couldn't do anything about it. The organizers easily could have said "ok your wrist band gets you a drink at any of the 3 bars" and that would have greatly improved the evening. Alas, it fell flat and I don't think any attendees were impressed with the hotel. Onward and upward with future NYE parties. The rooftop bar has a great view and could potentially be lovely (turn on the outside lights, add a bartender on busy nights and warm up the outside with plants).

Nice modern hotel in the Theatre district - walking distance to SLU. New, clean, has a rooftop bar, has a restaurant with a renowned chef attached. Rooms were quiet on the 9th floor - which was green (you may know that each floor has a separate theme - rooms are green, red, yellow, or blue). Beds were comfortable. Pillows were nearly new and ideal. Interesting lighting - a moon rock for instance... Shower has high-end shampoo and soap. Definitely a boutique place with character. My only knock (keeping it from a 5) is the thermostat. You can't just "set it" to a temperature. We spent 20 minutes fiddling around moving it up then down then back up part way until we got it to stay at the temperature we wanted - trial and error... Oh yes... I see some people commented on the neighborhood. Just do the valet parking. You're fine during waking hours. Overnight - better to be protected.

If you love boutique hotels, this is a stand-out in St. Louis. Choose a guest room based on color that matches your emotion/mood. I picked green for refreshing. What I was most interested to experience was celebrity chef David Burke's new restaurant: Grand Tavern. I missed the opening by one night. But I was able to taste several of his starters in the rooftop bar and they were simply exquisite. I tried and loved the Clothes Line Bacon, Tuna Tartare and Hipster Fries. There are so many things to explore. Want to play a music instrument? Want to play an old school game? Want to see the St. Louis skyline? Check all three. Can't wait to return. Wow!

This hotel sucks . Reserved a queen and got a double.. no tv. Asked the front desk if they could fix it and no response . Never again.

Super cool art building. Fabulous rooftop bar. Spent our honeymoon there (all yellow). The new restaurant looks fantastic.

I really enjoyed my stay here at Angad. I found this hotel and wanted to check out the cute and kitschy place. I got a room with Hotels tonight and got a Green King room, picked randomly. The rooms are cute and nice. seem like very new. The staff is very nice and friendly. I loved checking out the rooftop bar for a drink. There is free wifi. I did use the parking lot and its $17 which is a bit much to me. The restaurant was unexpectedly closed the night we stayed so we don't get to try it. I would love to come back here again, its directly next door to the Powell Symphony Hall and across the street on Grand, is Fox Theatre. I am a local and pretty impressed with the cute place Angad is. My only complaint is the overwhelming smell of smoke and weed on the floor I was on and the smell was so bad it was seeping into my room as well. I was told its a no smoking hotel and you sign a paper at check in. Well obviously people break rules and the smell was so bad in my room from a neighboring room that I had to check out early.

The room was very gorgeous and the service at the restaurant was amazing but the disappointment in parking. The lack of care when we call up to the receptionist to tell her about the car being broke into and along with 7 other cars, she seemed to have lack of guidance to what we needed. We had to call back to get any information about what to do and if management was going to follow up. Parking does not have cameras in their lots. Just be cautious.

I went to the hotel for rooftop dining but as a bonus I got a great experience. This hotel Is full of beautiful art exhibits . It's everywhere you look I felt like I was in DC or even NYC . This would be a perfect staycation Now to the food Get the watermelon salad . Don't ask questions just get it . It's small but mighty . Packed with flavor I also had a mushroom flatbread it was delicious but needed a more crisp crust . More like a pizza than a flat bread Other dishes at our table included salmon and the Caesar salad Service was excellent . Definitely a place I will return

Had a blast here on a first date. We had the pleasure of having Vanessa as our server and she was so sweet and fun. The view of the city is gorgeous. I cannot wait to come back!

My gf's & I were sooooo excited to do Sunday brunch at the rooftop a few weeks ago. The reservations were booked weeks in advance, the menu was studied, the mindset was mimosas/bloody Maries/champs. Annndddd.... We left- had an amazing brunch at The Bellwether! If customer service were a person, Angad would not have any friends. Sad deal. Before the world shut down, I loved it there, DJ's, fancy drinks, cool bartenders... not so much these days. It was like everyone was hung over, showed up late, and did not want to be there. Oh vey.

The Angad rooftop is nice. Great for a laid back date night. The crowd was diverse regarding age and race. I'm sure the music depends on the DJ but Lamar Harris / DJ Nune's set is always enjoyable. He reads the crowd and he brings instruments to switch it up They could improve the menu. It was very small. Two burger. Hi iced and maybe three other items were on the list. (Shame on the shrimp kabobs for only having three shrimp for $18! That's ridiculous.) And the outside bar was super smokey. Our clothes and hair smelled like a grill after standing in the long line. You can avoid that by using the inside bar. Overall for the views alone, I'd come back!

I think Angad Arts Hotel might be my favorite overnight stay of all time. My friend and I were in town to see a show at the Fabulous Fox Theatre, which is right across the street. We each booked a room at Angad Arts and immediately upon arrival we were impressed with the service. Al, the valet, was friendly, helpful, and courteous. He saw that we were struggling with our luggage a bit and changed course and helped us get upstairs to the lobby to check in. (The lobby is on the 12th floor.) Jeff checked us both in. He found my reservation and quickly took care of my Red room with a King bed, explaining the $75 hold per night. Then he pulled up my friends room and saw that she was in a Green Queen room; he made a face and said, "Eh, that's not my favorite room. Let me see what else I have." He couldn't find her a Green King but did put her in a Queen room that he said was more to his liking. Of note, every time we saw Jeff after that he chatted with us, asked us about our stay, and made restaurant recommendations nearby. Both of our rooms were great; my King room was a little bigger (which makes sense) and I loved the small details and artistic touches. My only very small criticism is the lighting situation. Admittedly I like a lot of light and I like when I can turn off the illumination from the bed. I had all the lights on in the room (including the bathroom) until bedtime and then I had to either wander around in the dark after turning them all off or use the really cool small reading lamp attached to the headboard. Small quibble and during the day, the natural light was plentiful. My friend's favorite feature was the high level of security. She felt as safe in the hotel as she does "in Disney World, which is saying a lot." You must have a room key to get to your floor - and for instance, I couldn't get to her room on Floor 9 without her key and vice versa as I was staying on Floor 6. We had two nights here and she had breakfast both nights in the restaurant on the ground floor. She said it was very good, appropriately priced, but was confused about where all the staff went at the end of her meal both days where she literally had to ask someone to bring her the bill and then to return to collect payment. Seemed bizarre to her. The view from the rooftop patio was stunning and we had friends with us two different times and showed them this feature. We took some great photos up there and would love to come back in warmer weather to just relax on top of St. Louis. The neighborhood was quite walkable and we got good advice from hotel staff not to "go north of the Powell," which was where the symphony plays for safety reasons. We explored St. Louis University's campus, took photos of a sculpture park that was decorated for Christmas, and ate at a couple different close by restaurants. Valet was quick, efficient, and friendly even when we wanted our car at 11pm to go find milkshakes (epic fail Steak and Shake!). There's a really fun store on the first floor just opening the weekend we visited called CLR MNSTR and their owner let us in to browse late at night while she was working. (We actually saw her later in a parking garage down by the arch and she greeted us with vigor. St. Louisites are so friendly!) Check out was just as easy as check-in; the only bad thing about this stay was that we had to go home. We will definitely be back.

**Disclaimer: This review is specifically for the New Years Eve Party and not the hotel overall.** We recently had a tour of the hotel itself during a Yelp event. The hotel is unique and full of amazing local art. Each floor has a different color theme to suit your mood. During our tour of the facilities, the representative of their food and beverage management was telling us about the amazing New Years Eve Party they were planning. Based upon what we saw on the tour we were intrigued. The event description touted, among other things, " a bold party with premium open bar, the Jesse Gannon Experience and DJs Gary Mac and Marc Buxton. There's a champagne toast at midnight and a midnight surprise". We got online and bought tickets at $100 a piece to attend this fabulous Roaring 20's New Years Bash! In truth, it was about as far from fabulous as you can get in my opinion. The following are my major complaints. Venue: Upon arrival we realized we were no longer to be in the upstairs ballroom overlooking Grand Avenue. We were in the 2nd floor windowless ballroom. The room was like an oven and their feeble attempt to cool it off was to open an emergency exit to the outside down the hallway. So basically unless you were standing out in the hallway you roasted. We later went upstairs and the 12th floor ballroom was not even being used. Why they moved us down to a windowless hot dungeon I do not understand. Drinks: They had a single bartender working...ONE. The line for a drink were frustratingly long. We ventured upstairs and found a manager to complain to and eventually they added a couple of additional bartenders. Checking your coat was a mystery as well. The bartender had to play double duty and go get someone to take our coats. With regards to their "Premium Cocktails" they had a very limited selection of premium alcohols. Most were really just well drink caliber. Poor planning all around on their part. Food: Passed hors d'oeuvres were served and were few and far between. We didn't expect a full meal, but we definitely expected more for $100. Had it not been for an amazing server taking pity upon us we wouldn't have gotten to sample any at all. She started bringing our large group a plate out first every time something new came along. Music: Someone stated they heard that the DJs were amazing. In fact some people had apparently bought tickets based solely on the fact they were going to be there. I don't know if they were maybe expecting a much older and reserved crowd, but they played hardly anything at all that we could dance to. They did span the decades which was nice, but most were obscure songs with few hits mixed in. Our group are big dancers and we barely got out on the dance floor at all. Midnight Surprise: The midnight "surprise" was three girls dressed as flappers doing a poorly choreographed 20's dance routine. I've performed in shows and worked with many dancers myself and know what a rushed routine looks like. These poor girls looked like they got the call do do a routine the night before. We left shortly after they started. After this experience I seriously wish I could get most of my ticket fee refunded. For $100 we expected much much more. Having only been open 2 months at the time of this event, they had the chance to come into the St. Louis scene with a fabulous 20's bang. Instead of a bang we got misfire and it left a lot of us highly disappointed. The AHH should be ashamed of this NYE Party and hire an experienced and dedicated event coordinator immediately. I really hope they get things together in the future. The hotel is simply beautiful and could be hugely successful as an event venue.

I am so glad I had the opportunity to check out this phenomenal new hotel in STL! It was great tasting one of The David Burke restaurant dishes, the clothesline bacon, and the tour was outstanding! Definitely what I needed to understand the hotel's artsy vibe, Steve Smith's vision, and see the beautiful penthouse and the breathtaking views! The rooms are so beautifully vibrant, the room decor so appropriate and love the emotional driven interior design of the room and the floors of this boutique hotel! Looking forward to finding a reason to stay, eat and lounge at this hotel and all of its creative spaces! It is also PET FRIENDLY, so a great staycation for me and my Teddy Bear!

Beautiful hotel with great service. We had tickets to a show at the Fox and this was the way to go. We had dinner at their restaurant, Commonwealth, then walked across the street to the venue. Then came back and enjoyed the really great view of St. Louis at The Art Bar, their rooftop hangout. It was popular! The next morning, we had breakfast on the rooftop as well. The (blue) room was comfortable and cute. The shower was huge and the place was clean. Will definitely be back!

Our journey lead us to the rooftop for a couple drinks and snacks. Everything was great! From the Valet, to the bar staff, to the drinks! It has such a fun and laid back vibe.

Angad Arts Hotel, all I've got to say it DAMN. If your aren't local this is THEE place you want to stay. This new boutique hotel is so tastefully designed and their concept of a curated experience that connects color to your mood. Yes, please. When booking a room, you choose to stay in a room that is primarily blue, red, green, or yellow. Book a blue room for tranquility, red for passion, yellow for happiness, or a green room for rejuvenation. The rooms are not only really well designed spaces, but have such quality and interesting furniture. I wondered if the colors would be overwhelming and too much, but truly not. They are such tasteful places to be. The views are also tops! Such beautiful views of Saint Louis our ever window. Downstairs, there is a beautiful and delicious restaurant by David Burke, called the Grand Tavern. There's a lounge on the 12th floor for playing music or games. Literally they have instruments hanging on a wall and you can just pick up and play. They also have games to play, like the good ones: What Do You Meme? and Cards Against Humanity. You get the gist. This is an amazing event space too, whether your hosting something intimate or hosting your wedding. If all of this weren't enough, there is an amazing rooftop bar. It's indoor and outdoor. With literally the best view of the eastern city skyline. The bar program is something to talk about. Meredith, who runs it, is literally an amazing bartender and is so creative. Make your way up there and you may never come down. Visitors of Saint Louis, and locals alike, you're in good hands with this amazing hotel.

‼VERY DISAPPOINTED ‼ ‼ SEE PICTURES ‼ ‼ READ BEFORE YOU BOOK‼ We stayed July 24th-27th We stayed in a king suite with the tub. We were spending our anniversary here and I was very excited for our stay but when we entered our room it looked great until we looked a little closer. Drain was full of what looked Like MOLD and the shower was disgusting. The tables were not wiped down, maybe the top but not the sides and with COVID that is just plain unacceptable, We called to have someone clean it up and were told to leave our room to have them clean it. So we went to the rooftop bar... The bar menu was extremely disappointing. Cocktails came in a can and they didn't have very many options. Staff was great though. Our server was from New York and she was nice and the other male bartender recommended a ton or restaurants and bars to visit. Food was also disappointing. After we came back to our room we were disappointed again. I think they cleaned our shower (barely noticeable the sludge was gone but not the dirt) but the tub drain and side of table were still not even touched !!! So we called again and were offered a king suite or a discount. We came here specifically for the tub so we decided to just go BUY our own cleaning products and clean the room ourselves and just take the discount. We spent 30 bucks on bleach and other cleaning products and did their job for them and sanitized the whole room. The person we talked to on the 24th was very accommodating and told us he'd put a note on our reservation for a discount. Here parking is $12 a night, we were going to get it for 2 nights and he did waive the fee for us which was $24. This was on Saturday the 25th. Now we come to Monday checkout day and we want to go over our discount....well. Whoever we spoke to on the 27th in the morning would not give us a discount for our disgusting room after we had to clean it ourselves!! Apparently the waived parking fee is as enough according to them which didn't even break even with the amount we spent on cleaning products. He told us there was nothing he could do. Weekend here was more of a hassle than a vacation. WILL NOT BE STAYING HERE AGAIN. ‼DO NOT STAY HERE ‼

My husband and I stayed here this weekend for a little get away for our birthdays. We were far from disappointed! We stayed in a yellow king room with a tub. It was beautiful! My favorite color is yellow so the room was adorable. (Their rooms are themed by color!) The tub was so cute and relaxing for an after dinner soak. Their rooftop bar was great for a glass of champagne. They were practicing social distancing.. nice to see. The staff was helpful and pleasant to talk to. The entire bottom floor has art everywhere (there's art throughout the hotel). It's super cute and affordable!

Expectations were greatly exceeded! My husband and I came to St Louis for our wedding anniversary and are so thankful we found this gem. The Angad is in such a great location, far enough from downtown, but close to plenty of restaurants and bars. When I booked my reservation, the lady that helped me was so sweet and attentive. Check in is 4 pm and we arrived just before 1 and got to a room. We decided on the red room with a view and not disappointed at all. The feel is very eclectic and mysterious, very clean and classy. On Saturday night we went upstairs to the rooftop bar for drinks and had so much fun! There was a live DJ and a private party and overall a large crowd. I was extremely pleased with our stay and would absolutely be back!!!

My fiancé and I stayed here for his birthday, and we had the greatest time! We live in University city, so for us this was a treat of a staycation. From the moment you walk in you are treated with a local artists exhibit, which was super fun to walk around and discover. It was interactive as well which my fiancé's inner child loved. We had the option of room color upon check in, we picked blue! It was very tranquil and relaxing and well decorated. The whole hotel is super chic and dope. It's the perfect place for a girls night or date. The rooftop Art Bar was incredible and the staff was amazing. Courtney our waitress elevated the experience with her sweet personality. We can't wait to stay here again- we loved it!
