I ordered their "Lil' Mama" package and an order of their Coconut Cake, just be aware that this place takes a while to make the orders. I assume this is due to the online orders, delivery, small kitchen (I only saw 1 cook), small business, etc. After ordering, I was told it would take 30-40 minutes, which it really did. During my waiting time, I saw several people come in to pick up their orders and only 1 person cooking that came out to pass the food orders.
The fried chicken wings were one of the best that I've ever had in Seattle, absolutely perfect, meaty, perfectly seasoned, hot in temperature, crispy coating, the sauces were so good too. The spicy bbq ribs were really good, the sauce was definitely perfect ratio of sweet, savory, spice and texture. The ribs were also tender, fall off the bone, but also tender enough to chew and did not fall apart, which is the perfect tenderness to me.
Our sides, mac & cheese, was really good, it was the perfect classic mac n cheese. They were out of candied yams, so I substituted for a green salad, which was really refreshing and clean, tasted freshly prepped and chopped.
I also ordered a slice of Coconut cake, it came as a tiny whole coconut cake, it was super cute, but this was probably the only downfall of the order, the cake itself was moist and fluffy, but the frosting was too sweet. It was overwhelming the entire cake. Had the sweetness level been 1/3 the amount, the cake would have been perfect.
The price was reasonable, it wasn't super high, it wasn't cheap, I got a lot of food for what I paid for and I know supporting local businesses means paying a fair price for that. I will definitely order from here again, it was delicious, staff was friendly.
Just prepare to wait a while, order when you're not on crunch time.
