Angela's Italian Restaurant

I’ve been here several times for dine in and it has never disappointed me. The place has never been busy so I hope they are doing well. They always tell me to pick a table. Started off with a Pepsi, which is always a plus for me. Decent bread which was nice and warm. I’ve always got a calazone with various fillings and the marinara sauce on the side. I’d recommend getting the extra cheese on top, too. My wife has had various pasta dishes and has always been happy with them. It’s always been the same waiter who’s always nice. It’s always been a nice experience and would recommend it to everyone.

I had a great experience at Angela’s Italian Restaurant in Fresno. The food was fresh and full of flavor, and I loved how generous the portions were. There wasn’t any wait when I arrived, which made the visit even better. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and the staff was really friendly. Everything about the meal was enjoyable, and our waiter was very attentive.

I had the best experience alongside with the best food. We have the traditional shrimp Alfredo that was amazing. The lobster raviolis were to die for the pizza was so good. The crust was cooked perfectly. Staff were amazing and welcoming. The whole experience was top-tier..

Stopped here for lunch on our way to Yosemite. The place is clean and spacious. The service was good with the waitress very keen to assist us with the menu. The food was a bit of a disappointment. The portions are large but they lacked in flavour and taste. The chicken picatta was a bit on the sour side. A decent place for a quick bite but nothing to reminisce about.

The restaurant is clean and well lit. Usually Italian restaurants have dim lighting, so I appreciated how well lit it was. It's also kind of hidden in a strip mall, but it's worth finding! The food was great! The wings (dug into them before I thought about a picture) were surprisingly good. The lasagna and ravioli were my favorite. Their alfredo sauce has a really good balance to it. I didn't need to add seasoning. Frastillos Pasta was a bit underwhelming but had a sauce that I wouldn't mind trying on a different dish. I've been looking for a new Italian restaurant, and I'm glad they popped up on my radar.

Our first visit to Angela's and we ordered the combo. The sauce was very tasty. We added meatballs to the mix and they were so tender and delicious. The ravioli was good but not a favorite. The lasagne has a creamy quality to it that made it the best I've ever had. Be ready for a lot of warm bread with real butter. It was a great atmosphere with good music playing gently in the background. The young lady who served us was kind and helpful. Great place for Italian.

The service was ok the food was good but the bread was burn and we were told that's how it is but we saw other tables bread some were not burn but lots were burn also

Ordered 2 entrees online. First time trying this place. Ordered at 3:49 and i showed up at 4:29. I figured that would be a good amount of time even on a busy friday like today. I walk in and the place is dead empty only 1 table sitting down. I walk up and ask if my order was ready and the lady said yes initially then she renegged and said "oh you added another one. Hold on we will make the 2nd entree now." ????? I only placed one order one time I never added anything? So the lady basically blames me because...I ordered more than one item? No clue. Instead of apologizing for the mistake she tries to make it my fault somehow. Very unprofessional, but I at least want to try the food before I judge the place. 1 hour in and my order is finally ready. The food was...not great. Definitely not worth the wait nor the price. It didn't taste awful, but the flavor was very lacking and the shrimp was overcooked. Imagine you had a child at home and they made you pasta. Pretty much what it tasted like. Glad we tried something new, but this is definitely a one time place for us.

2nd trip to eat here and still quite happy had the chicken Alfredo and a calzone last time both were great the red sauce has great flavor The bread is served hot and tastes fresh this trip we had the chicken Marsala and the special chicken both were delicious the Marsala has a little sweetness that I loved and both were served with pasta/red sauce and veggies Wife loved the veggies I thought they were slightly Al dente for my taste but still great flavor and garlicky as we both like them The cheese bread is good and the cheese sticks seemed homemade not the the frozen panko stuff so we were very happy with those We had the same server both times and she's great checked in frequently but not overly intrusive her name is Lali she's so nice

OMG! Such a great spot and nice find on my boyfriends part. Very delicious food and welcoming servers. It's such a large menu I am gonna have to come back and try more. I love pastas so I felt like I was in heaven lol.

This little gem of a restaurant is easy to miss. Tucked into a little spot in strip mall next to a Dollar Tree. After looking for an Italian eatery close to home we decided to give Angela's a try. What a great decision! The restaurant was relatively empty but it shouldn't be. The service was outstanding. Attentive without being overbearing, humorous without being too chatty. The food was solid and good portions. My son had the combo plate which had spaghetti, ravioli, and lasagna. Think of the Olive Garden Tour of Italy but better. I had the lobster ravioli. The only downside was that only about half the ravioli had good chunks of lobster. Those pieces were great. I did really enjoy the unexpected shrimp that were served over the ravioli. Excellent flavor. I also had a to-go order of fettuccini for my daughter and she also raved about the flavor. Even the bread they served was a pleasant surprise. Warm, soft, and good with the whipped butter packets. Overall, we had a really great experience and will be back. It's nice to know there are still little surprises to discover in your own backyard.

The food was really good! Salad and dressing was very fresh! I had a combo plate nice portions good prices and it was lunch! My husband had the Alfredo with vegetables which he said they were cooked perfectly! The service was excellent are server was so friendly and accommodating! We well differently be going back! I got the catering menu for sure will be using it!

Tried this spot based off of Yelp recommendations. Walked in, typical older fashioned Italian restaurant decor and vibe with dark woods and semi-dim lighting. We were greeted immediately and told we could sit anywhere we'd like. The server brought our drinks along with bread and butter (pretty basic bread, only ate one slice). Tried to order the cannelloni but they were out unfortunately. Settled for the manicotti and I got the 1/2 & 1/2 with lasagna and beef ravioli. The manicotti was pretty good but the plating looked bad with dark sauce and cheese splatter like it was heated to melt all the cheese. It didn't taste bad but the cook could have wiped the rim of the plate with a clean napkin to look more appealing and presentable. The lasagna and ravioli were pretty good as well, not bad but also not like I gotta come back and try something else. The restroom was clean and service was good.

It seems every city we visit the kids must have pasta, so here we are again and this place was a winner. I don't think you can go wrong with getting the dishes named after the establishment and so we did. Angela did not do us wrong. We enjoyed Angela's special pizza and Angela's pasta. Pizza was hot a delicious and the pasta was full of flavor and oh-so creamy. Service was great.

I was craving Italian food and by luck of the draw I found Angela's. First off, I was kindly greeted as soon as I walked in and seated immediately. The restaurant itself is a little on the smaller side but is still great for any dining experience from a romantic date night to a casual lunch with family. I ordered the Bella Ragazza which was insanely delicious and my picky kids ordered cheese ravioli and said it was the best they've ever had! Everything was cooked to perfection and staff was kind and helpful, the chef even thanked us for loving his food on the way out. 10/10 experience and definitely going back to try their lobster ravioli.

You want some real authentic Italian food for lunch or dinner? You will NOT be disappointed at Angela's. The service staff are always so helpful and on top of their game. Love eating in or dinning out, even the inside gives authentic Italian vibes. You will not be disappointed and your taste buds will thank you!

Not a bad dining experience, but not a stellar one either, purely based on the food. For the price, there are better places to get Italian food. The chicken in the pasta was just okay, small cuts or mid quality meat. The sauce was very thin and soupy compared to what I'm used to for an alfredo sauce. I can't stress enough, it wasn't BAD, it just wasn't that impressive. 3.5 stars

Went here for dinner after work and right when I walked inside, I felt like I was in a different city. I like the ambiance and how the restaurant was decorated. Our server was really helpful and answered any questions I had about the menu. I decided to be basic and order the Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo pasta lol because I was craving some butter cream sauce. She brought out some bread first and all I gotta say is wooow. I love homemade bread! I prob would've been satisfied just eating that all night lmao just kidding. Alright time for the Alfredo and that sauce was on point! Just the right amount of consistency that paired well with the chicken and noodles. It was a big serving for me and I ended up taking half of it to go. Definitely will be back and try the Chicken Parmigiana.

Bread was yummu. Pasta was middle of the road. Calzone was very stuffed of meat. Side of meatballs were awesome. Service was pretty bad. Won't go back, wasn't the treat night out I was hoping for.

Food = great Service = exception! Welcomed like we were treasured family Ambiance = superb Wings are HUGE and flavorful to the bone. Will NEVER go to Wingstop again. Looking forward to next visit!

Another great date night with the fiancé! The service was great as per usual! Didn't get our usual date night seat but it didn't take anything away from how great the food was! We will definitely keep this as our date night spot!

I absolutely love this place - I have never been inside, but we have ordered it multiple times on the ChowNow App and have never been disappointed! The bread and butter is amazing The pasta is amazing The calazone is amazing The sauce is amazing Just - Amazing!

A regular spot for us! Try the "favorite" pasta (fettuccini noodles), or the pizza and you won't be disappointed. We usually order to go, but the ambience/service is lovely if you dine in.

Every time we come here we leave happy. The atmosphere and staff are very welcoming, the dishes are always pretty tasty.

Service was very pleasant and food came out quick. I had a shrimp and chicken with lemon cream sauce and linguine. It tasted wonderful. I wish there was more chicken tho. My husband enjoyed his dinner as well. Nothing to write home about but pretty solid

Felt bad. Online it said they were open until 10 but server told us they close at 9. We would have gone somewhere else. Need to update your hours please. I don't want to hold up people getting to go home. Ambiance is not awesome. Really isn't any. Just a hole in the wall place. Very worn plastic table cloths. Ugly flooring etc. I remembered when it was a DiCiccos a longggg time ago. The service was good. Server was very funny and sweet. I think she was tired. Was told they were out of bread but saw other diners being served bread. So we asked another person and he brought us bread. It was good too! Everyone had their salads but I never was served my soup. Inquired and out it came finally. About 1 minute before my entree so I only had a few spoonfuls. It was good. I had cheese ravioli and lasagna. It was excellent. I would so come here again. Old school flavorful Italian food like Nona makes.

This restaurant surprised me. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. I ordered the eggplant parmigiano and it was the best I've had since moving to Fresno. It was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of cheese and sauce. I also was very pleased with the fresh baked bread that came with the meal. The waiter was extremely attentive and very quick to respond to all requests for service. We plan to return for more good food soon!

This was a new restaurant for me. I was with a friend who recommended it on the recommendation of a family member of hers. What a delightful, friendly place. We were fortunate to have Maggie as our server on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 for dinner. She displays a genuine enthusiasm for assisting customers and takes the time to assure we were enjoying our entrees. We both thoroughly enjoyed our choices. My friend had chicken piccata and I had manicotti. Excellent. It definitely is now on my go-to list to return. (My friend let me taste her entree. I'll probably get that next time - the sauteed mushrooms were amazing!) Stop by and enjoy the wonderful recipes of Angela. Also, reasonable prices!

The food had flavor, protein, and cheese! What the food lacked in stardom was made up for in service. Our server V. was very friendly and happy to help with anything we needed. V was very familiar with the menu and was able to make many great recommendations. We had a great time at Angela's!

Great little Italian restaurant but actually it's a good size restaurant once you get inside. You may just miss it's door if you don't see it's sign left of big ol Dollar Tree's sign off of Blackstone. I ordered a antipasto which was very nice and tasty. Exactly what I expected and needed. I've had antipasto's from other places and they were truly disappointing. Since this was my first visit I was craving some lasagna so I ordered the Half and Half which is a combination of two pastas. I ordered lasagna and meat raviolis Al Forno along with some meatballs. Was not disappointed. Lasagna just melted in your mouth. Raviolis were plentiful and tasty. The meatballs were tender and I could have used a little more taste to them but they were also very nice. I expected them to be bigger since it was a side order but it was fine. All of this was buried under a beautiful rich marinara and cheese sauce ( Al Forno). This was also accompanied by bread and butter which was expected (raised Italian, what can I say) but not mentioned which is also fine and a little surprise. All in all it was a very good first time experience. I ordered online and everything was ready quickly. It was well before supper time 3:00/3:30 and the staff was friendly and attentive. First: Thank you Yelp for the reviews cause they were the ones who helped me pick this place Second: I loved this place! It for sure is a hole in a wall place. You blink and you miss it. It's in a shopping center off of blackstone. The family and I walked in and was greeted right away and was told to seat ourselves. It wasn't too busy but did have a few tables filled. Throughout our dining people kept coming in so I know they are good. I ordered the "Favorite pasta" OMG so amazing. Just the right amount of sauce and the chicken was juicy. I noticed at some places the chicken is almost always over cooked and dry. Not at Angela's. My daughter got the kid's pizza and my Bf got the "Special" Calzone and a cup of minestrone. He enjoyed them both and took home half the calzone. I almost forgot they have Homemade bread that they gladly refill for you. I can't wait to go back.

When it's 115* out no way are we cooking or going out. Had company from So Cal & decided to give Angela's Italian a try - great choice. Placed order online they called to clarify a couple items then it's all a go. Got a combination Spaghetti & Ravioli dish, really liked the sauce definitely getting it again. There was lots of nice fresh bread included. You have us as new customers, will be back. Highly recommend Angela's. Eat & support local.

So it was really good and I would eat here again. Just a couple things the portions were a bit small and the shrimp and chicken tasted like they were just cooked/boiled without any seasonings. The sauces really saved the meal. I love fried raviolis but I wish they were breaded better and came with. Thicker sauce This sauce was very thin be fell right off.

Terrible post workout craving for Alfredo with chicken and shrimp, I added onions and mushrooms and was charged $3.50 additional.. but there were literally less than three mushrooms added, which I thought was pretty cheap... and two small slivers of onion. Come on. When a customer orders extra, you should at least give them their moneys worth. ... I was disappointed. The flavor and pasta were quite tasty, the shrimp was generous, but the chicken was not.... where is the balance here? My waitress was excellent and deserves five stars. She connects naturally, and listens well. ... was authentic and friendly. I was on a mission, this urge needed to be burned as it's infrequent so anything can go because I'm well disciplined. Really! I would definitely eat here again, but ask more questions .. I like that the menu is easily red, one of the few that nails it. The restaurant is roomy, comfortable, and the lighting was perfect... the music wasn't even too loud, which was appreciated.. looks like I'll be able to bring my dad here sometime.. good! The bread was dangerously good, and gone really fast. Tomorrow's a rest day so I'll only do 40 minutes on the elliptical with no weights... pecs get hungry! Lol -G

Food is always delicious from the pizza to the pastas. You cannot go wrong with whatever you order and the waitresses. There are always so friendly.

Ok, so how did we not know about this place?? We pass by this place all the time and never stopped in until recently. Their food was sooooo good and you can tell it was made from scratch. I loved their sauce in their Alfredo. I hate eating fettuccine Alfredo when it's not saucy. I always have to ask for extra sauce and always get charged for extra sauce. This place already knew! They brought out my fettuccine with extra creamy sauce!!! Seasoning was perfect as well. I didn't have to add more salt! Chicken was very moist and was lightly grilled. Customer service was excellent. The lady in the front greeted us and she was our waitress. She was very sweet. The cook ended up making the wrong dish, but they corrected it quickly and apologized. The cook even came out to apologize to me personally. I definitely want to come back and try more items on the menu!

Food was great. Service was excellent. Only thing I would mention is I wish the salad had a bit more to it. Some olives, croutons. I still enjoyed it as served. Very good all around experience.

Order placed for pick up of a veggie calzone with chicken added. The worker was nice. She said it would be ready in 20 minutes. I went in to get it. Clean, safe and practiced. The restaurant is nice. Low key and calm. Booths and tables set up. They were busy. I waited a short time before a worker came up to me and I told him I had a pick up order. It was ready and he handed it over. Paid for it and he said thank you before I left. Lunchtime! Got it set up. Calzone split in half. My half of the calzone was really delicious! Fresh veggies, perfectly cooked bits of chicken and melted cheese in the calzone too! The marinara sauce included on the side made it even better! Mother said hers was great and she loved the flavor! Good service and Great calzone! Highly recommended!

Amazing service! Loved the in house made Clam Chowder! Did the half/half plate , tried the spaghetti with meatballs and the lasagna. Sooooo good ! My boyfriend had the pink sauce pasta . We will definitely be back.

I ate here with my family on a Thursday night. It was a nice meal, made fresh and hot with high quality ingredients. We have eaten here several times and the food and service is very consistent. The food takes a while to come out to the table but that is ok with me because good food takes time. The only tiny complaint I have is their side salads. I wish they had just a bit more of a selection of toppings included on the salads, not just lettuce, cheese slices and salami slices. Everything from the pasta to the meat and shrimp is quality. I haven't had a bad experience here. I recommend giving this place a try because it might be your new go-to place!

Nice Italian restaurant located in a strip mall. Great customer service with lots of food variety from pizzas, sandwiches, appetizers and pasta dishes. We had the linguini and clams in white sauce that was delicious and dipping the freshly made bread into the sauce was yummy. We also had the trio of lasagna, angel hair spaghetti and meat ravioli with lots of red sauce. Enjoy the atmosphere pleasant customer service and delicious food!

I had their pepperoni pizza and it was great, got an Extra Large for a good price, taste a lot like another local Italian restaurant, DiCicco's. Although their pizza is more on the greasy side, I recommend.

Didn't get to taste the food because I didn't want to wait an additional 30 minutes or get rushed food. We ordered our food and saw a family get sat, served, and checked out. I have to get up to inquire about the status of our food because our waiter has not come back to our table. The other waitress asked if we wanted to wait while she put in the order or leave since I wasn't happy so I left.

So I've been coming here for a while, and I have yet to have a mediocre or bad experience! The clam chowder on weekends is phenomenal! The lasagna, cheese ravioli, fettuccine alfredo, and pizza are out of this world! I haven't tried any of the other items yet, as these are so damn good that I go in specifically to order them. And did I mention the BREAD???? It is possibly the best bread I've ever had! Seriously! The bread alone makes me want to come back! But I have to say that every single employee is beyond amazing and they not only recognize you, but remember what you like and things that might have been talked about before. The customer service is like I rarely see anymore. I'm definitely going to keep coming back time and time again, as I love being a patron of local businesses, and everything, including the cleanliness, is on point! I just wish I had some pictures to share. Go check them out! You might find you have a new regular spot!

Tried lunch on 10/25. Restaurant was empty. Food was very good; big step up from DeCicco's. Raviolis were outstanding. My companion was very pleased with the Chicken Parmigiana and with the fact that it was made with a real chicken cutlet. Prices are extremely reasonable.

Nice little hole in the wall place. The dinner salad was a nice surprise with provolone and salami. The calzone was crispy and stuffed with toppings. Love that the sauce was on the side. Also it is big enough to share.

Service was fair but food was very bland and overrated.. No type of flavor 3/10 overall

I was traveling through here on business when I stumbled on this gem of a restaurant! I want to recognize my server, Faith for her outstanding service! She was doing it all, seating, taking orders, serving, and bussing tables, all with a smile! I enjoyed my dining experience and the chicken and shrimp with pasta was delicious as was the salad and fresh homemade bread! Thank you for a great dining experience!

Food is excellent! I have my favorites- their salmon salad is so fresh and delicious. Any of the pastas- lasagna is to die for, can't make it at home like this. Butter melts on their warm bread! Always great service, clean and comfortable. Check them out!
