The 16 Best Ice Cream Shops In San Francisco - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Angela’s, a darling from the North Bay, now has its first SF location in Noe Valley, and they're serving massive scoops of mousse-adjacent ice cream in 30 flavors. French vanilla and “Milkiest Chocolate” do the classics justice, but to make the most of your visit, go for the less conventional flavors like Lemon Bar with pockets of lemon curd and crushed shortbread, or the seasonal Tiramisisusie folded with brandy syrup-soaked vanilla wafers and chocolate shards. Angela's has indoor and outdoor seating, with a quiet, sizable sidewalk—perfect for standing around and scouting an open table or debating your second scoop. Or third." - julia chen 1, lani conway, ricky rodriguez, patrick wong

We thought SF had enough ice cream—until Angela’s - Review - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"This Petaluma-born ice cream spot with locations throughout the North Bay and Sonoma turned a former liquor store in Noe Valley into its first SF scoop shop, complete with 30 flavors, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and scoops that struggle to fit into a bowl. What we love most about Angela’s ice cream, though, is the texture—it’s thick yet airy, like the dessert was crossbred with mousse. Each fist-sized scoop is still sturdy enough to suspend several kinds of mix-ins, like toasted hazelnuts, saltines, and cookie dough. Classic flavors like french vanilla and chocolate (Angela’s calls it the “Milkiest Chocolate”) should be in every ice cream-related prenup, but the less conventional flavors are even more exciting. Go for Lemon Bar stitched up with ribbons of lemon curd and pockets of crushed shortbread—and, if it's the right season, try the Tiramisusie with brandy syrup-soaked vanilla wafers and a dusting of cacao. video credit: Patrick Wong video credit: Patrick Wong Pause Unmute" - Patrick Wong

Just tried Angela’s Ice Cream and wow—absolutely amazing! The texture was so creamy and smooth, and every bite was perfection. The staff were super friendly and made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to again and again!

Wide selection of flavours, but the ice cream is not that good. Lots of ice crystals. You can visibly see them in the cheesecake in the 4-berry basque cheesecake flavour. The pistachio also had an off, artificial flavour. The flavours sounded interesting, but the execution just wasn't quite there.
