Google
Great place and service was genuine. The filet mignon was melt in your mouth. Amanda and I really enjoyed our food. She had a wine I had my ST with a cherry. We had to get the name of the wine because she liked it so much. 9/31/25

Google
For as good as the ambiance is, the food is.. and there is no other way to say it, terrible. We had a great time. Extensive wine list. Our server was super nice. But even the Manhattan cocktail was bad. So you spend a lot of money for ambiance and vibes. If you are ok with that then fine by me but I will not be returning. There are a lot of better Italian restaurants in Buffalo.

Google
Food was okay! We tried a few smaller plates while catching up. Really loved the ravioli, bread service, oysters and cocktails. Tuna tartare was weak on flavor. Prices were very high compared to other fine dining locations in the area. Some items took longer than expected, like cocktails. Happy we tried it! Beautiful space!

Google
They didn’t have calamari or any meal with chicken on their menu😟 but service is really good. Drinks are great 👍 Nice atmosphere 😊

Google
Wow, what a treat! My husband and I really enjoyed Angeline. We ordered the Prosciutto and soaked pear appetizer, steak special and ravioli special. We also got cocktails. Mine was the house Angeline and it came with a fun popsicle in it. Our waitress was really friendly too. If you feel the need to treat yourself, go to Angeline.

Kristina was so lovely! Great dining experience and amazing food!! Thanks for a great evening!!

Google
TLDR: The Angeline staff is incredible - especially James - even though I clearly need a drivers ed refresher. I accidentally parked in the small staff lot, got flustered, & didn’t feel safe backing out (out-of-towner driving a family member’s car). Stressed before dinner even began, I asked the team for help. James (the GOAT) not only drove me into the right lot but did so with patience and kindness. What could’ve been perceived as a Karen final boss moment was met with understanding, humor, and genuine care from the whole staff. Great food is ubiquitous if you know where to look but hospitality & warmth like this is rare. Thank you, Angeline team 💖 I'm so appreciative. P.S the food is also incredible

Google
Elite. It’s truly elite and one of the finest restaurants in Buffalo no question. The wine list is top notch which is really refreshing. I ordered the strip steak with potatoes and it was excellent. Cooked to perfection. 2 of my colleagues got the Lamb’s neck which they said they really enjoyed. 2 of my other colleagues got the filet and we’re kind enough to give me a bit and it was excellent. The atmosphere and wait staff were also truly top notch. We ordered a clam appetizer which was really unique and tasty as well as some spicy beans which were also excellent. For dessert member of my table got the olive oil cask with an orange burnt gelato. It was pretty good and different. Our table also ordered the cheese cake, tiramisu, and I got the affogato. Nice! We went early around 545 and it was quiet which was great! I have been told that it can get pretty loud when it’s busy. It’s expensive but, not dramatically more than other top tier restaurants. A welcome addition to the Buffalo dining scene!!!!!

Yelp
Angeline's Bucatini Cacio e Pepe was delightfully peppery with a mix of ground peppercorns visible in the sauce- which as a result had a spicier taste than is the dish's norm. If you are looking for underseasoned pasta, stay home. This dish (and my partner's duck also) was quite an ample portion and if I were less of a glutton, I'd say an entree plus a dessert could be potentially enough food for folks coming out on a smaller budget. The Tuna Carpaccio was so much better than just the sum of its parts, which were: a plate of cool pressed tuna, thinly sliced fennel, fennel fronds, supremed grapefruit and orange segments, capers, and a particularly grassy olive oil. The toppings were few rather than heaped, and the effect of each differently combined bite was subtle and perfect. We also thoroughly enjoyed the oysters, gem salad (anchovy-forward dressing with a lovely herbal note- dill, chives), rich cheesecake and apple tart (that browned butter!) I loved their mocktail twist on a Cosmopolitan, which used spiced cranberry jam for a mulled effect. For folks complaining about the prices... it's nice to have restaurants that are reserved for a real treat. The prices are easily accessible online ahead of time, so you know what you're getting into. If a Special is listed at market price, it is your responsibility to ask the waiter how much that would be before ordering. Some people were wearing nicer casual outfits, but several patrons were more dressed up, which was honestly really cool. I've found restaurant patrons in Buffalo rarely dress up, but it can be fun, adding to the occasion's sense of specialness and adventure! What I loved just as much as the food was that the dishes come out at a leisurely pace. In America, we've become accustomed to dining at break-neck speed, with wait staff constantly hovering nearby ready to whisk away plates or refill glasses at a moment's notice. Is that really reflective of a luxurious dinner? Too much of our modern lives is speed-focused and comprised of a million little things and moments all competing for our fleeting attention. It's stressful. Angeline is the place to sink into the moment. This is a luxury experience, revel in it- embrace the slower European pace of dishes and drinks coming out rather than expecting a new dish minutes after finishing your first. The wait staff are gracious and attentive enough, but retreat to let you own your space. Come to this restaurant with someone with whom you love to talk. Or someone with whom you can relax in companionable, peaceful silence, while other diners clink and chat around you, in the gorgeous ambience of this shining golden room.

Yelp
Thought this was good but not my favorite! The lasagna sheet appetizer was interesting, a little crisped.
google avatar

Kellie M.

Yelp
Food was good but very expensive. Service was ok but our waiter was not very attentive. He was busy chatting with a table he seemed to know and rarely checked on us. Thin lasagna special was delicious as was the Caesar salad. Beautiful outdoor seating on the porch.

Yelp
Angeline is one of my favorite fine dining restaurants in Buffalo! Reservations HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! From the minute you walk in, you're greeted promptly and seated. Really pretty purse hangers are brought over to your table to hang your bag on. The cocktails are top notch and executed perfectly! My favorite is The Rose Room which has Vesper Martini vibes! We started with the Gulf Shrimp appetizer that was a special feature of the evening. It was incredible! I LOVE Gulf shrimp and I was sooo happy to see that was an option. I ordered the filet mignon and it was done just perfect; medium rare is how I like my filet. The prosciutto that it was wrapped in gave it a nice flair and it was topped with a red wine demi-glace and gorgonzola. The fried truffle gnocchi was melt in your mouth and the perfect accompaniment to the filet. The evening was wonderful and everything was top notch & excellent! Street parking is pretty easy to find nearby. If you haven't been to Angeline yet; I highly recommend it as soon as possible whether it be for a fabulous dinner outing or a special occasion!

Yelp
Perfect choice for a special occasion dinner. Dan and I celebrate New Year's Eve here and Angeline exceeded our expectations! The waitress Ariel was friendly and helpful explaining the menu & specials. We shared the prosciutto wrapped filet and the special: homemade pasta with caviar & chive on a light cream sauce. For a side we shared cauliflower au gratin. The drinks were a nice touch also - a Mezcal and limoncello cocktail. The food was exceptionally good. The filet melted in your mouth and the homemade pasta with caviar was the star! For dessert we shared rye spumoni ice cream that's so made in house. The ambiance was also stunning. Between the top notch service, food, and ambiance we can't wait to return to Angeline! Make a reservation through their website! Cheers to 2025!

Yelp
Great experience here with a group of 7 of us before an event at Key Bank. We were seated in the upstairs dining room. Our waiter was attentive, especially keeping up with our wine and cocktail requests! We ordered beef tartar, oysters, and cucumber salad to start with. The bread was delicious, and everyone enjoyed their entrees. I ordered the Prime Strip Steak, which was cooked to perfection. Great spot for a date night! Reservations recommended.

Yelp
Fantastic experience, I recommend the filet mignon ! A fantastic burrata dish aswell. We will be back!

Matthew R.

Yelp
We had a great anniversary dinner here - everything was wonderful. My hanger steak special cooked on charcoal was the most tender of that cut I have ever had. I would drive 60 miles again if that was made a regular staple. The amalfi coast cocktail exceeded my expectations. I consider New Orleans to be the cocktail scene standard in the US And this cocktail was at or even above that level. The bartenders foam skills were out of this world (I think he secretly has an electric paint mixer back there:) the Buffalo food scene continues to be drastically underrated. If you want a wonderful meal at a beautiful spot make sure you visit.

Yelp
Another great time had here. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and the desserts were so good. Valentin was a a rockstar and made the whole experience fun and enjoyable.

Yelp
I went here for the first time recently and had the best time! The staff was extremely attentive and kind. The food was delicious! We started with beef tartar, oysters and a cucumber salad. All absolutely delicious! I had the filet mignon and it is the best one I've had in Buffalo by far. They also have an extensive wine list The restaurant has multiple beautifully decorated levels. I will be back!

Yelp
First time trying this place out. Fairly pricy, but good for a special occasion. Had the lobster bruschetta and prosciutto and mozzarella as appetizers. Both very good. Caesar salad was huge and shareable and very good. Main course was rabbit leg confit with broccolini. Excellent. Only problem - while the atmosphere is fine dining intimate setting the music playing was too loud for the setting making conversation unnecessarily loud. Turn it down just a bit.

Christopher O.

Yelp
Waited over an hour after our reservation time to be seated. they did not acknowledge the significant delay and inconvenience, nor do any service recovery. Disappointing for a high end establishment.

Terrance R.

Yelp
Outstanding service and the menu Rocks! Many items to select from. Great wine list and full bar. Cheers to Hutch for opening another Great restaurant!

Yelp
I really miss Tempo, but Angeline's a fantastic alternative. They remodeled the place and made it more functional. Our appetizers Japanese eggplant, meatballs, and mussels were good size and delicious. My filet was outstanding, melt in your mouth tender and delicious. My wife had the lobster over spaghetti and it was fantastic. For desert, the olive oil cake with orange gelato was surprisingly delicious and not too sweet. Definitely a restaurant for special occasions or you want to impress a date with the beautiful restaurant. Must dine in Buffalo.

Yelp
My fiancée and I would absolutely recommend Angelines. A little bit "high society" types but the atmosphere was very comfortable. Casual dress worked and we sat on the patio on a beautiful Buffalo summer night. The food was outstanding and service was exceptional. Food was amazing !

Jean B.

Yelp
We went when it was first will week it opened. It was very tight seating and very very loud. It was difficult to talk to your party sitting across from you. The service was very good. The food was good. Although, the restaurant had just opened the menu and the prices were changed. But, because of the seating and how loud it was we haven't been back.

Yelp
We had reservations but arrived early to have a drink at the bar! What a nice cozy spot! Bartenders are very professional! Our table was ready when we finished our drink and were seated in the back room! What a great dining area! Our waiter gave us the menus and daily featured dishes! We ordered fresh oysters for her and the beef tartar bruschetta for me! Both were delicious! My entree was the bacon wrapped Filet with Gorgonzola butter and gnocchi and hers was the Spaghetti ala Mare which had a ton of clams, mussels, scallops and shrimp in a white wine sauce! We added an order of charred Broccolini as a side dish! My filet was cooked perfectly and the gnocchi were delicious! The pasta was unbelievably good! We barely had room for dessert but decided to share the olive oil cake which was very good! This place hit on everything and is an excellent choice for a special night out! Our waiter was phenomenal and the team that helped serve us was well trained and weren't rushed!

Yelp
The comments contained here were sent to Angeline via the contact form on their website over two weeks ago. They promised a response within 48 hours. The fact that this hasn't happened, has led me to post this review here. We made reservations at Angeline for an early dinner on our anniversary. This was a special trip from Rochester to Buffalo just for dinner. When we arrived, we were escorted to the bar (a pattern which I saw followed by most patrons throughout the evening - and all were asked by the hostess if they wished to have a seat at the bar before seating). I don't disagree with that tatic, you always have the right to refuse, but it's such an old ploy to try and get people to spend more on liquor. The bartender, nonetheless, was very pleasant, a nice conversationalist, and fairly good mixologist. We tried one of their unusual creations and truly enjoyed it. When we were sat, we were welcomed with complimentary champagne, a nice touch. The service and food was exquisite. It's been several weeks now so I've forgotten what we ate but let me say I was very pleased - as good or better than the old Tempo. What spoiled the evening was the music. When we were first say (I'd say about 6 after arrivig a bit late at 5:30), the atmosphere was quiet and reserved. There was a table of six men close to us but they were very quiet and respectful. The few other couples in the restaurant were quiet as well. As other diners began to arrive, the music began to get louder, and louder. And of course, everyone talked louder to talk over the music. It finally became such a distraction that my wife asked the server to please have them turn down the music. The hostess did. Not a great deal, but enough to be noticeable. But within minutes, the youngish manager on duty turned it bac up. This is a restaurant that tries to be elegant and promote a somewhat sophisticated cuisine. But within a short time it became a night club. I know the tendency these days is to blare music and try and create a very active atmosphere. But you don't do that at a nice restaurant. There's a nice app called SoundPrint that allows you to do a soundcheck (and then send a report to the restaurant should they care). So I pulled out my phone (which I would not do otherwise) and checked the sound level to record an 85 decible rating - the loudest at any restaurant I've recorded to date. To ignore a patron's request and to turn the music back up is shameful. But what is more shameful is the lack of response from management regarding my comments sent directly to them. I don't like complaining in this fashion, but in this case, Angeline deserved it. Next time we'll return to the Left Bank. - Brian

Yelp
Some of the best service I've had in Buffalo. The food was really good for the most part. The smashed cucumber salad was amazing! It tastes like a really good cucumber sandwich filling. I'd definitely get it again! The crispy burrata was good, it did taste a lot like fried mozzarella- the picked tomatoes on it were really delicious. The bucatini cacio e pepe wasn't great, it was too heavy on the pepper, and the cook on the pasta wasn't good, wouldn't get it again. I'm excited to try more menu options next time around! The ambiance is gorgeous!

Yelp
If I could give this review a Zero I would... My wife and I just welcomed our first child 3 weeks ago. My wife booked this restaurant for my 31st birthday and wanted us to get out for a nice dinner (she had been one other time and loved it). We live in Lewiston and this is a 30 minute drive, and had my mother watch the baby. We contemplated staying close to home because it was our first night out but in the end said why not go have a nice experience, but it took a ton of effort for us to get here. Many know how much it takes to get a woman who just birthed a child, out of the house and feeling confident. My wife looks great but naturally has self confidence reservations from just having a child. She was struggling to find an outfit that she felt good in, but it all worked out and she looked amazing. We are greeted by James at our table. Nice man, but proceeds to ask what we want to drink and we had just sat. He mentions the menu has bottled wines and cocktails, and says that we also have mock-tails for the lady- I can tell you have something going on there.... I was so taken back that I froze. I was raised to never talk about a woman's body. It was such an off color comment that had no business being said. We kept it professional and ate our meal. Never one apology or acknowledgement from James for creating a terrible experience. My wife is nicer than me and left 20% but I will never go back here. It was a $300 bill and we finished our meal in 45 minutes because of how we were rushed (Unsure if it is how James waits tables or if he was just embarrassed and wanted us out). We had to come up with other plans because we had so much time left on the night. I mentioned everything before because of all it took to even get us to the restaurant in the first place. I am a Director of Operations for a national sales company and eat out 2-3 times a week and it has been some time since I have felt this way leaving a restaurant. Still incredibly frustrated as i am writing this and something my wife will always remember.

D Z.

Yelp
The food was at the top. Our servers were very attentive. We liked the re-do of the interior of the restaurant, too. Especially a good spot for a special occasion dinner.

Yelp
Former Tempo now owned by Hutches. Food was good. Definitely large portions that you can share so keep in mind when ordering. We didn't get that impression when we ordered. I ended up taking a ton of food home. Our waitress was very nice but she forgot my coffee both times I ordered. I mean minor mistake but still for the price it's the details. Tables are very close together and it does get loud inside but I mean if you've ever been inside Tempo you know what you're getting into. Overall it was really good.
google avatar

Jennifer R.

Yelp
I was excited to visit this former tempo location and see what they've done with the place. It's very classy but comfortable inside, although I do recommend requesting a wall-side table if you don't want people bustling by you continuously along the one narrow aisle. Every small plate was a 10 out of 10. Just delicious. For the main course I had the veal saltimbocca, which was very tasty, perfectly cooked, tender, flavorful. I did request it to be gluten-free, which meant they left out polenta for some reason, but they didn't replace it with anything, which was a disappointment. They easily could have substituted with vegetables, already included in the dish. They were also out of two dishes on their already small menu which is understandable, but a disappointment, especially when you wanted to order both of them. I would return and probably just order small plates and drinks.

Yelp
Beautiful old timey classic restaurant has been here for years.. The new restaurant has been open about five months, I'm guessing, as of today, 9/16. I was one of the first tonight, so it's quiet. I sat at the bar for dinner but gave up my seat for a couple who came, I didn't want to see him standing behind or to her side. There was no problem getting a seat in the dining room. Staff were very accommodating. When at the bar, I tried a "Capo" cocktail gin based vermouth drink well made. For my dinner, I enjoyed the Casoncelli, which is beef in a ravioli style pasta in a light butter sage sauce, not overwhelming in sage but good. The charred broccolini was the veg fire roasted it seemed that there was olive oil in it as well. A glass of Sicilian Rosado was enjoyed it was the best rose I believe I ever had. Dessert was a Panna Cotta was creamy with flavorful tiny berries the names of them escape me. Good, but it didn't have a wow factor perhaps I was too stuffed to appreciate the dish. I will definitely return with friends to try menu variations.

Yelp
I dined at Angeline for the first time and was very impressed. The service was excellent, and every single food item was delicious. My husband is a tough sell and even he thought everything was great. We agreed it was some of the best food we've had in Buffalo. I could go on and on but the eggplant appetizer and the bread and butter particularly wowed me. I was pleasantly surprised when my husband was given a card and candle for his birthday. I liked the dark, quaint ambiance of the dining room. The only thing I disliked was the volume of the music. Overall it was definitely a 5 star experience, that I will be recommending to my friends.

Yelp
Went here for a date night and was blown away! The second we walked in, our coats were took, a purse hanger was brought to me and the nicest people served us! It's a small, intimate and romantic spot! The decor is gorgeous! They have a fantastic wine selection. We shared the beef tartare, Caesar salad, ahi tuna and the brazino. The presentation of the brazino was extraordinary! They hand carve and slice it for you tableside. I absolutely loved my experience here! It's such a gem!
google avatar

Nina F.

Yelp
I have absolutely no complaints about the food we had! Omg the apps were to die for! Actually all of the food was amazing. Even the bread. However, they don't give dipping oil which is usually customary. So the apps... we had the clams and oysters. Both were so so so soooo good! The sauces they were delicious and all of us could not get enough. Again, the bread and focaccia was also delectable. But it could have used some dipping oil instead of a slice of butter. The entrees were also delicious. Two of us had pasta, one had pork, and another had the sole. However, the person who got the fish asked if it could be filleted in the kitchen and that wasn't an option. According to the waiter "the chefs don't like to do that." Whatever, she still liked it. An issue I had was we went for someone's birthday. You would think when you're going to an expensive restaurant they could at least afford to give you a free dessert to the birthday boy, but no. They presented a card that said happy birthday. This may be insignificant to many people though. But the birthday boy was excited for dessert. The bar downstairs is nice but tiny and not a place to go for just drinks. Overall the whole atmosphere is lavish and ornate. The food is exquisite and I can't wait to try it again. It's a tad pricey but worth it.

Ray P.

Yelp
Fine Northern Italian dining. Have been here three times. The filet of sole is a signature dish. Prepared table side. Excellent. The steaks are amazing. Pasta dishes are not like a pasta house. Each better than the next. The service and decor are 5 star. This is truly a fine dining experience. Without doubt one of the 3 top restaurants in Buffalo.

Yelp
Angeline is not just another fine dining restaurant... it's an experience, and one you won't want to wait to have again. From the moment we arrived and Carly greeting us with a smile and confident elegance, everything just kept getting better. My husband and I sat at the bar and Jack was more than gracious and educated to answer all the questions we had about the wine list, cocktails, menu, etc. We were never rushed or felt in the way and honestly, were treated like regulars. Drinks, food, service, atmosphere, presentation.. everything Angeline is doing is 10/10. I'm so happy to see this gorgeous building back in use, and I know that Angeline has a bright future ahead. Congratulations to everyone involved in this beautiful restaurant, we cannot wait to be back. Ordered: Dirty martinis, recommended bottle of white, Carpaccio, Crudo, a light buttery sage pasta to share, Dover Sole, Elk, espresso martini.

Patrick R.

Yelp
Heard great things about this place so my wife and I decided to give it a try for date night on Friday. It exceeded our expectations, as everything was perfect. First, the food. In a word, everything we had was delicious. We started the meal with the Polpette and eggplant appetizers, which were both excellent. That was followed by their Tomato salad special which was huge. And finally, the main course: Bucatini for my wife and the Saffron Tagliolini alla Chitarra for me. The pasta was melt in your mouth light, and both were bursting with flavor. And the portions of both were sizable and filling. Dessert was a carmelized peach special shared between us. Second, was the service. Our server/sommelier, Genevieve, was both knowledgeable and attentive. Her cocktail (the House Manhattan) and wine recommendations were spot on. Despite the fact that the restaurant was full, everything was served quickly and we wanted for nothing. Last, but not least, is the atmosphere. Angeline's is in the historic Delaware Avenue section of Buffalo, so you are surrounded by history. We made our reservations last minute, so all that was available on a Friday night was the newly opened patio. Despite the occasional street noise, we were able to freely converse and enjoy our meal. Next time we intend to eat in the main dining room, which has a great "Cotton Club" jazz club kind of vibe. Bottom line, yes, Angeline's is pricey, but given the quality and quantity of the food, the service, and the atmosphere, it is worth every cent. This is not the place to go for a quick meal, but if you are looking for a relaxing evening with your significant other, family, or clients, put this restaurant on the top of your list. Thank you Angeline's, we will be back!

Yelp
So you are reading this thinking "food cant be that good, we're in Buffalo, NY", right? WRONG THIS PLACE IS INCREDIBLE. Some of the best tasting food, presentation, service, that I have had in a while. We went with my family of 6 and ordered the Oysters and 3 pasta dishes to start. The cacio pepe was reminiscent of my favorite NYC dish from Via Carotta. The other 2 pastas were phenomenal. For entrees, the steak and branzino dishes are unrivaled. The waitress performed table-side additions before serving: oil on the steak, filet the branzino, etc. (blonde waitress, forgot her name but she was awesome). 10/10, recommending to all friends and family

Yelp
This was a hard reservation to get into but well worth the wait. This newest latest greatness restaurant in Buffalo did not disappoint. The wine list was extensive and probably the best that I have seen to date in Buffalo. The manager's attention to detail is apparent. The food was absolutely delicious and portions are perfect size. The ambience was very nice and for those who can't get in for dinner yet I would suggest just stopping in for a cocktail or a nice glass of wine at the bar. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Very very cute inside. They decorated super nicely and it's a very cozy vibe. The patio is really nice and if today was better weather I'm sure we would have sat outside. The wine list is incredible-- tons of choices. Had the pork chop, which was ok. A bit charred for my liking, but overall a good experience! Our waitress Genoveve was very attentive and service was incredible.

Yelp
Amazing food and exceptional service! The ambiance is the best in Buffalo, incredible vibe! If you haven't been to Angeline, you are missing out!

Yelp
We tried Angeline on Saturday night after trying for a couple weeks to get a reservation at a reasonable time. While other reservations were available over the last few weeks, they were either at opening time or very late (post 10 p.m.). After dining there, I can see why. There are very few tables inside. They currently have a covered patio, which adds table. I hope they will enclose with more than a shade and add some heaters (if they do not already have those). We sat inside at a two-top in the front room, and it was uncomfortable. The tables are on top of one another. You cannot help but be in the conversation of the tables next to you. It's hard for the servers to get to the tables and for diners to get to their seats without asking others to move their chairs. I don't remember it being this tight at Tempo, its predecessor, but perhaps some thought could be given to this. The food itself was good, and our servers were friendly. We particularly enjoyed the prosciutto appetizer and the potato gnocchi. The cocktail list was small and did not appeal to me. So, I had a glass of the Prosecco rose that was tasty. My husband had the house manhattan, which was good not great. The decor is lovely and gives off a cross between an art deco and 70s living room vibe. After hearing diners seated around me, the consensus seemed to be good food but uncomfortable quarters.

Yelp
Food was great - pasta portions range from small (5 2-inch culurgiones) to medium (~1 cup gemelli). Delicious though, and great to have another restaurant that makes fresh pasta!! Sides and antipasti are large - 1 plate for 2 people. All delicious as well!! Service is nice, but a bit too formal at times (start with drinks menu and wait 10 minutes after drinks to bring food menu). Ambiance is nice - beautiful building and nice decor. Music is a bit loud. Interesting mix of diners - half seem to get the vibe, and the other half don't (dressed like it's the beach, smell like they've not showered). Tables are all extremely close together inside, so hopefully you're next to a good group!

Yelp
The ambiance is really pretty, the chicken is super good and juicy , as well as the pork chops. Branzino is really good and a little charred at the top which was so yummy. The service was great and one of the waitresses were very patient with my table.

Yelp
I celebrated my birthday here with family this week and it was fantastic. Dover sole was wonderful & plated table side. Cocktails were sublime & the bartender adjusted what we wanted perfectly to reflect our individual tastes. The dessert was delicious, the celery root appetizer was salty, the preserved lemon & broccolini appetizer was spectacular! My only issue was a long wait time to be seated even though we had a reservation; there was no room at the bar - people were standing 3 deep.

Yelp
Service was excellent, our waiter earned a$200 tip that was very appropriate. The food was very good. I had heard from a regular from Hutch's, that also owns this restaurant that the food was a bit pricey - but not as good as Hutch's. My opinion, food is a bit pricey, so don't forget to bring your bank, but the food was excellent. I've eaten there when it was Tempo, and the atmosphere was a little different. Great location, near downtown Buffalo. The tables were a bit close, which reminded me of the old Hutch's, but the ceilings were high, and you didn't feel like you were having a front role seat, listening to the nearby table's conversation. The portions were plenty, as nobody ordered dessert , except for me. I got my dessert to go Last point, the broiled oysters were amazing as well as its presentation. Overall, our group had an enjoyable evening and I would highly recommend. Hutch's is still my favorite go to, and when people from around the world visit Buffalo, always in my top 3 recommendations, but Angeline has the potential. I'll have to visit a few more times to let you know.

Yelp
I took my partner to Angeline for their birthday dinner. My first thoughts were, 1. It was hard to find in the dark (I didn't see a sign) and 2) cool, cozy ambience inside. The hostess was on the phone for a bit and didn't acknowledge us for a good minute (part of the missing star on the review). One other detail that rubbed my partner and I the wrong way was the demographic of the guests...very "real house-wives"of Buffalo-esque, which was a bit intimidating, but ofcourse didn't impact our meal. I also thought their cocktail list was a bit too pretentious, so I got a nice glass of sav blanc. The hostess gave my partner a birthday card which was a nice little touch. We got the beef tartare bruschetta for the appetizer which was very good. For the entree, we split the branzino and the gnocchi. The branzino was really good; it was different - not too fishy, a nice charcoal flavor. The short rib gnocchi was also very good, albeit a little small if someone were just having that as a meal (but our server did tell us that the pasta dishes are shareable). Our server was fantastic - they were very attentive and outgoing. We don't get dessert but just coffee and cappaucino to finish off the meal which was a good choice since we were stuffed. Overall, Angeline is very good. I would come back if I wanted a fine dining experience where I am expecting to pay a pretty penny, but trust that I will have a delicious meal and nice experience.

Yelp
Had dinner last night and it couldn't have been better! Tried many menu items and all were amazing. Ambiance and vibes were also great!

Yelp
Picked up right where Tempo left off, the best restaurant in Buffalo and it's not even close.

Yelp
Spectacular service. Kristina was outstanding. Personable, knowledgeable and attentive. We really enjoyed our evening more because of her. She really was above and beyond. The wine suggestion was also perfect. Thank you!

Yelp
My wife and I had a very pleasant experience early New Year's Eve for our first visit to Angeline. I wanted to send a special shoutout to Ms. Gregory, who acted as hostess and culinary air-traffic controller. She handled the rush and conflicting demands of this busy night with grace and aplomb. She made us feel special. It made our experience better by an significant level. Thank you, Ms. Gregory. We look forward to our second visit to Angeline soon. Charles A.

Yelp
Expectations were high going in having been a big fan of Tempo previously. Angeline delivered an exquisite culinary experience from start to finish. From high quality fresh pasta to the decadent veal chop. I love the modern updates to the interior and service was great.

Yelp
The place looks great. This is my third time there. If I go back it will be for drinks at the tiny bar. Btw, the bar is too small for ppl to have dinner. I'm on my way home and I feel sick. The food is not good and it's expensive. They like to say NYC prices. They must not go to NY.

Yelp
Bring back Tempo...this menu is terrible, service is sub-par and the chairs on the patio are the absolute worst...the last thing Buffalo needs is another crappy Italian restaurant

Yelp
Utterly disappointed with Angeline's. Starting with dress code listed on website and then to see jeans and sneakers abound in the place. Just went downhill from there. Food wasn't anywhere near worth the the price. Little gem salad to salty and over dressed. Veal saltimbocca was not even average. Son's dinner had over done pasta. We loved Tempo when it was there and hoped Hutchinson would be able to repeat it. It's a very pale shadow of it. My advice is to save your time and money and go somewhere else.

Yelp
We have been going to Angeline every second month since they opened as the atmosphere is wonderful, the cocktails are exquisite, the dishes well-prepared and served, and the menu was (!) interesting. After six six-month hiatus, we returned and were severely disappointed. The drinks, service, and atmosphere are still excellent, but the menu changed to boring standard fare and the prices increased significantly. For example, a wonderful seafood entrée was the whole bronzini on a bed of spinach. It's replaced with a sole which is also perfectly prepared and served, but comes without any greens or potato. The Bronzini was $52 including vegetables, the sole now is $62 and a side of Broccolini adds another $22. All other entrée prices increased by 15-20% and several other interesting choices disappeared. The interesting appetizers, like red beets, squash tempura, beef tartar, and others are gone. The tuna tartar used to be interestingly seasoned and nicely packed in a bowl shape, now it floats unappetizing flat in a dish. The crackers with it used to be hand and bite-sized, not a plate-sized cracker covering the dish. We will return for drinks, but not for dinner.
