Angelo's Hamburgers

First time here. Had the bacon cheeseburger at the suggestion of my waitress along with a chili cheese dog. The burger wasn’t bad, but in a city known for burgers, the competition can be tough. Chili cheese dog was really good. I’ll be back!

The burger was good, bun was toasted and made exactly how I asked. They also have the best tater tots!

Came for first time after Angels game and very cool experience. Won Trout jersey on ticket raffle. Food was good service great overall nice place to dine out. Will come again sometime in the future.

Disappointment they only except cash & vetmo. Not many customers will have cash or use that app & on top of that, they charge extra if you decide to pay with vetmo. Burger was a bit to dry. The meat was too small you could barely see it.

Stop by for lunch today the place opens at 10 AM. They have a solid menu a lot of variety of food cash. Only if you forget to bring cash they have an ATM inside. I ordered bacon cheeseburger food taste wonderful, fresh hot as well. Will come back again. Friendly staff as well

Their menu is diverse and you can find almost every sandwich such as burgers, Turkey, chicken, roast beef, pastrami, salads… I ordered the pastrami and it was delicious 😋 as always. The fries were crunchy outside and soft inside which is my favorite. The prices were reasonable. The only thing that you need to know before going there is they only accept cash. No worries, if you forget there is an ATM inside the restaurant.

Don't plan on ordering from the website, not the same from the menu. Cash or venmo only. Didn't taste great, bad ranch flavor too much mayonnaise or miracle whip. Not your regular ranch. Sprite tasted off, tap water maybe? Just didn't taste good.

If you're in the Anaheim area, stopping by Angelo's on State College is a must. 1. Anything you order from here is SO good. The burger/cheeseburger is high quality, the onion rings and zucchini are hand breaded, and the beer is cold! 2. The service here is undefeated. It could be a busy Friday night and the waitresses would still make it a point to check in if anything is needed. 3. The ambiance. With 20+ tvs here, both indoor and outdoor, anything worth viewing will be on.

This is an old school hamburger joint in Anaheim that has been around for a long time. Back in the day. You can pull up outside and waitresses in roller skates and come up to your car and take your order and bring the food to you. You can't do that any longer, but the waitress inside is still wearing roller skates. We went with, tried and true, chili cheese fries to split and a cheeseburger and a pastrami sandwich. Washed it down with some delicious diet. Pepsi we skipped the beer this time as we were a little bit crusty from the weekend. If you're in this part of Anaheim, definitely give this a try. Be warned though they do not take credit cards. Bring your cash!

Solid spot. Opens at 10a. Cash only. Great environment inside. They have an atm also if you forget to bring cash, burger is juicy meat isn't dry, fries are really good. Will be back here soon.

Be careful this place is slowly changing for the worst I don't know what kind of management they got but they doing a terrible job they really don't care about the customers they got the closing time at 10:00 p.m. and then you come and it's close then they say they close at 9:30 if you get here on 9:30 they say they close at 9:00 and you come here at 9:00 they tell you they close at 8:30 and that's just wrong they don't care about the customers wasting time gas they know how much the gas prices are and for them not to care if the customer is going to come and waste their time thinking that it's open that is wrong I wish I could give him no stars but unfortunately yep gives them a courtesy star

Quite an interesting place. The drive thru is a bit difficult to get in and they only have 2 options to pay which is with 1) Cash or 2) Venmo. I got an order of Chilli Cheese Fries and a Bacon Cheeseburger. The burger was SO delicious, will definitely be getting more of those from there. The Chilli Cheese Fries were a bit of a let down, lack of fries and the chilli was incredibly oily, so much so when I came home my brown bag was stained with oil and got on my shirt. I would not order those again nor would I recommend them. Service was great, there was a young man who helped me and assured I had all condiments (jalapeños, napkins, ketchup), he was very helpful and kind. Overall I give this place 4/5 stars bc the burger was really good and I think the fries by themselves were good and crispy. Next time I wanna go in and have a beer.

Been coming here for years and this place has never let me down. I've never been inside but never had an issue with drive-thru like so many other reviews. Cash or Venmo is accepted. Food quality is always good. I mostly always order a burger because they're so good. I've tried their chili fries - love em with onions. Orange bang is yummy. Avocado burger always hit the spot. Had their patty melt..good stuff. Mozzarella sticks are thick & cheesy & seasoned well. Ordered the 1/2lb gourmet burger the other day, it comes with 2 onion rings, I was disappointed when I opened the box when I got home cause it just didn't look good. Looked dry but when I assembled my burger & took a bite, it was 9.5/10. 9.5 because the onion rings were dry but loved that the burger tasted healthy & not oily or dry! I won't complain about prices because the portions are big & I'd rather spend my money there than McDonald's where portions are tiny especially for the price.

Had Angelo's last night. Hadn't been there in a few years. The place is wicked cool. TVs on every wall. Sports games on and old Angelo's memorabilia on the walls. The place has waitresses on skates, it gives such a cool old school burger joint type of feel. I ordered a buffalo wing basket and fries. The wings were perfectly crispy and the fries were a perfect golden brown. Not sure what some people are hollaring about. I would totally recommend this place and would absolutely go to watch my favorite sports team. 10/10 would recommend. Pro tip: buffalo sauce mixed with ketchup is game changer.

Been going to Angelo's since I was a kid. Best milkshakes in town! Real ice cream not the soft serve stuff. Also love the fifty's diner jukebox!

One of the best local spots in OC! There's a reason people have been going there for years and years, regularly. The service is excellent, atmosphere is fun - good music playing, games are always on, and their servers are on skates. Food is bomb as hell. Cheese burger, BLT, Nachos...chef's kiss. Also their ranch definitely has crack in it because I'm addicted. Lol love this place!

50s style drive-in from the outside, bar vibe on the inside. They still have rollerskate service for indoor and the small enclosed outside patio. Its nice to hear staff rolling over the tiles inside with a pleasant clacking sound. The hallway leading to the bathroom is lined with historical Angelo's photos and posters. You can see how Anaheim has changed over time and how long Angelo's has been an institution. Cheeseburger: All burgers are charbroiled so if you like Carls Jr or Burger King's taste you'll like it here. It has a nice home-made or backyard BBQ quality to it that feels more small-batch and less "manufactured" like franchise fast food. Fishburger: This was great with plenty of lettuce and tomatoes, the bread was not too thick and felt more balanced with vegetables instead of just tartar sauce. Fries: Larger and thicker than McDonald's fries, tasted great.

Food was good Service was whatever It would be really helpful to put the Venmo QR code at the table. I went outside and had your waitress run out and say hey you didn't pay. Yeah no shit i had to go outside to get the QR code. The asked me to show her proof.

Says close at 10pm on Saturdays. But everything was shut off before 9:30 maybe just change your hours to 9pm everyday

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious bite in the area. This is my ALL TIME favorite restaurant to go to. From the bean and cheese burritos, hamburgers, to their French fries with their signature ranch sauce. It is all amazing. But their fish tacos, are the best fish tacos I've ever had. I cannot find better fish tacos anywhere. I can't order fish tacos anywhere else because they don't compare to Angelo's. Their car stop service is so fun. You don't see this kind of service anymore, but they continue to make it timeless.

Local burger joint feel, with many people who know each other. Food was no frills, well priced, and tasty. Loved the boysenberry shake. Cash or Venmo only, so be prepared (but they have an ATM if needed). Friendly, quick service. A solid diner.

Umm YUM! What a great find!! Waitress were in roller skates. Good group seating spots! Food was delicious!!! We will definitely be hitting this spot up when we come to this area. Tastes like homemade diner food. But not too greasy that your stomach hurts after! Reasonably priced. Lots of good beer options.

Come on. If you haven't been to the OG Angelo's, hem you haven't been to Angelo's. Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere.

I got a corn dog, spicy wedges, and cheesy onion rings. It was so bomb. I dipped the wedges in the cheese the food was fresh and the staff was nice. The wedges were more seasoned than spicy, they were really good.

I grew up in the area, and started going to Angelo's way back in 1980. It had the best burgers around, and the onion rings were amazing. I no longer live there, but was visiting family over Christmas, and decided to drop by Angelo's. I ordered the chili burger and a side of onion rings. The chili burger was fantastic. Still as good as it ever was, and I doubt any other place in Orange County will ever match it. But the onion rings were terrible. Something was wrong with the batter, it tasted "off". All things considered, I still heartily recommend Angelo's. The burgers cannot be beat. But next time, I'll have french fries.

This used to be my favorite till today I just got back home after I ordered a CHEESEBURGER BASKET WITH FRIES IM NOT SURE WHY HE HEARD WRONG AND GAVE ME FRIED onions like wtf I was so excited for the big fries. My Friday is ruined I was craving the big fries

Great Service, Family Friendly, service is great . They have Outdoor Patio with TVs . They only accept Vetmo and Cash only. But food is Good and they do sell Alcohol.

Came to Angelo's for the first time. Wanted to watch the NCAA games and Angels home opener. Great atmosphere and plenty of TVs to watch any sport you need. Food was great and the services too. Would definitely come back. Bonus, the waitresses were on old school roller skates. Very cool!

Went in on Wednesday while the band was playing and it was a complete packed house. They only had one server Lindsey and she did an incredible job at attending everyone. The food and drinks were always on time even with a full house. The band was amazing and I will definitely be coming back!

I don't live in SoCal but I make a point to come to Angelo's every time we visit. They have amazing burgers and the best draft beer selection. They also have fast service even when i have stopped by and they are busy. We like to go in the summer and sit outside. Make sure to stop in if you are in the area!

Me and friend first time coming here. Great service. And it's cash only. I ordered the bacon guacamole cheeseburger yummy, delicious. Fries great as well. I'd def come here again. I love the country music. Great atmosphere.

Horrible service. Our drive through order was missing food that we paid for and when i called to talk to the manager, they hung up on me. Will never be back.

Love this place been coming here since the late 70s. Just had lunch and ordered a salad. The service and the food is nicely priced and very tasty always a place to return to.

We order food to go in advance. We had the burger, onions and chilies. When I came in to pick up food, the staff acknowledged me at all as I stood there for awhile. Finally one of the chefs in the back saw me and told the servers to approach me. The food was just decent. Nothing spectacular to be quite honest. Onion rings were stale and the burger was overdone. Their chili was a little on the salty side.

Drive through was closed at 8:45 pm. I went inside and was told they did "last call" Website says close time is 9pm. They wouldn't take my order.

Last call at 8:52 inside because they're "slow" , what times last call for beer since two big cups were serviced right after server let us know they were closed for the night. Close sign says 9:00 . Good thing in n out doesn't reject you .

Came and got some burgers after a quick workout. Food is great. Portions of food were huge and totally worth the money. Only down fall is that they only accept cash. But other than great food I'll be back for sue

Place is good. Has decent food with decent pricing. They serve beer in 32 oz cups. Beer ranges from prices. But no more than $12. Which is good. They only accept cash. They do have an ATM machine. They have a cool atmosphere. The women that work here are pretty. So that is also a plus. It gets packed. So it's best to come during the week or when there isn't any sports going on. But either way it's a good spot. Good, cheap food.

The food here is alright, not bad by any means but the food you get is akin to what you might get at a Jack in the Box. The service is alright as well, not the most organized but if you were really going there to sit and eat you wouldn't notice any out of the ordinary wait times. You realistically go there to watch the game, eat some decent food and hang out with your friends. Their food isn't bad but not worth it to go specifically for the food. The portions aren't the best either.

This place is a scam. They have made up prices that are 2.5x what the menu says & only accept cash or Venmo. I ordered nachos & was given only nacho cheese & ordered Buffalo wings & was given plain fried wings.

Both the food and the service were great! Love Angelo's! I was a regular here in the late 80's & 90's but hadn't been back in quite a while. Was happy to see that the burgers are still great (had the 1/2lb open faced cheeseburger) and the shakes are too. The Boysenberry shake worked for me! We had a great time on the patio and the waitress was absolutely amazing. We will definitely be back. Regularly again!

Been coming here for over 50 years and still serves the best burgers, burritos, onion rings, shakes, in all of Anaheim. Drive up for car service by roller skating terrific waitresses. Other fast food restaurants can't compare, I recommend you go and taste the difference yourself. Enjoy!

Excellent cheeseburger and fries. I love the Root Beer Freeze. Not a fancy burger, but a great charbroiled burger. Service is fast, because she was wearing roller skates. Great place!

Been coming to Angelo's for decades now and always enjoy their burgers and other freshly made comfort food. It has morphed a bit from it's former burger joint feel, to more of a bar and grill vibe. Food is still high quality and the friendly staff always make you feel welcome. Remember to leave your credit cards at home as its dead presidents or Venmo now.

A staple of East Anaheim, Angelos is a go to place to eat. Note that you should eat inside where the service is great and everyone is greeted with a smile and treated like an old friend. Do NOT use the drive through. Your order will be wrong, you'll get frustrated having to repeat yourself so many times to the person on the other side of the speaker, and it'll all be your fault - just ask them. Like the lady working drive thru today it was like someone peed in her cheerios. She couldn't be any less happy or uninterested in helping. She took the order, got it wrong, and got upset when she had to correct it. But she made sure to turn up the attitude as we waited for our corrected order. So, take some time. Go inside. Avoid the attitude and mistakes of drive thru and you'll be very pleased with your Angelo's experience.

Called Angelo's this afternoon to place a PHONE order. The female who answered the phone said "hello"? I asked is this Angelos? she said yes, on State College. I placed my order, she did not ask My name. I drove down there to pick it up got to the window had my Venmo app out already with the total she gave me over the phone then she proceeded to tell me wait it's more than that because you're using Venmo.? Can they do that? They don't accept debit cards or credit cards. Venmo is like receiving cash. She wasn't very friendly. Actually she was rather rude as much as my husband and I enjoy their food. I don't think we will be returning.

If I'm craving fish tacos this is my spot their burgers are pretty good as well. FYI They only take Venmo or cash!

I hate leaving bad reviews but wow! First the girl in the skates almost ran my foot over and didn't even say sorry or excuse me. She didn't greet my friend or myself. So unprofessional. The manager there a young guy that took my order he was nice. I got a burger combo and my friend got a chicken burger combo for about $30 we were very hungry we went there because it smells good we get back to work and our food is so dry! My burger only had very little guacamole no sauce at all!!! Who does that? Chicken was dry also. Sucks because usually burger spots like this are bomb and their decor is cool but I will not be returning

Angelos is a nice little joint that makes really solid sandwiches. Went there for lunch the other day and had a half pounder cheese burger with union rings. Also ordered a side of small fries which was massive but that's fine . I would say this place would be very big during sports matches. Would definitely come here to a watch a baseball game some day. Also the waitress there is on wheels ( rollerblades) so expect your food to arrive fast

Very disappointed!! Paid $17 dollars for a beef dip , French Fries and a grilled cheese sandwich. Ive never had a beef dip so dry the au jus didn't even do it any justice. Usually if I don't like something and I'm super hungry ill eat it anyway. But the meat was so dry I couldn't take it. Wasted the whole other half of the 12 inch sandwich. Fries were not much better. Didn't taste fresh at all. Really hard to find good tasting food these days unless your at a high end restaurant. Fast food was never good for you but it use to taste good regardless. Now I can't find a fast food restaurant that puts any effort anymore into the quality. Ill eat at home! Don't know if ill be back Angelos!

First timer. I work down the street, and I remember this Joint from when I was a kid. I just want to emphasize the Customer service here. I sat down, and Shawnna rolled right up. I noticed that there was about 50 people in the restaurant. Shawnna didn't miss anyone. She kept all the tables clean and everything came to the table quick.

I ordered the Patty melt and onion rings. The restaurant is a busy place with rollers skating waitress. I found the onion rings to be just okay. They are the normal burger place onion rings, they are not great. The meat Patty's they use are very thin so they cook fast but don't make for a good burger. The Patty melt didn't have much flavor. Over all if your looking for a restaurant with TV's and beer give them a try. If your looking for great food then keep looking.

Hello everyone, I had the chance to come this place in Anaheim , outside patio, good selection of food. I had the BLT with and egg and avocado added on, best part was having on sourdough bread. Fries were on point. They have 6 tv outside to be able to watch the games. Nice spot.
