While the food was decent, the cost was way too much for the quality and portion size. I was surprised by this because of the reviews this place receives.
My wife and I were seated quickly, and the service was good. We ordered two dishes, which came with garlic bread and salad. The salads were small, ice berg lettuce, a single slice of salami, a few cubes of cheese, doused in dressing, not that great.
And the most disappointing thing for me was the "garlic bread", it was literally thin slices of bread, some of them barely toasted, with butter on them. I make better toast every morning at home. This was pretty bad considering they use Grand Central Bakery Como loaves, this is a premium bread and to see it presented this way with little to no effort in preparation is ridiculous. I worked for Grand Central for years, which is why I wanted to try this place, in fact I used to deliver the Como bread to them, I had no idea they served it this way. I could tell by the quality they were also using bread that was 2 to 3 days old, not fresh. If I still worked for Grand Central I would let management and ownership know how their product is being represented by this restaurant.
The Lasagna and Beef Cannelloni were decent, but again the portion size and quality did not justify the price.
2 beers, and 2 dishes cost us $74 including a $10 tip (I always tip just because that's how I roll, the staff doesn't control food quality or pricing), I feel that it should have been $20 - $25 cheaper for what we received. Won't be going back to this place.
