Google
Dope natural wine shop with TREMENDOUS customer service! It's always a great discovery to be in the shop. They have new varietals that are a wine lover's dream. I love the ownership.

Angels Ate Lemons has expanded my pallet and strengthened my love for great wines made by great people. I have been a wine club member for a year and every month they curate 3+ bottles of wine for the members. Every bottle has been tasty and some a wonderful surprise. I love to read each story that comes with the wine and use the serving suggestions to pair with dinners. Join the club let the Angels guid you!

Honored to be the first to review this spot. Angels is an absolute gem, and the diamond kind rather than the amethyst kind. A sweet, kind, knowledgeable, but most importantly, passionate, staff offers a broad selection of wonderful natural wines and other goods. Pop in, ask a question, and soon enough you'll leave with a great bottle of something that will have you and your guests talking about, rather than talking over. The wine club is one of the best ways to experience it! If Angels were a wine, it would undoubtedly be a glou glou. Can't recommend higher!

Google
Angels Ate Lemons is, quite simply, the best. Wonderful selection, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and they have adjusted to the pandemic in a safe and nimble way. It is a great place to begin on a journey with natural wine - we are lucky indeed to have this spot in Baltimore!

Google
Love Angels Ate Lemons. I told them I don’t like anything “too funky” (some natural wines are too much for me!) and I received a curated selection of 6 bottles of wine that were all perfectly matched to my preferences. They have a huge selection of wines you just won’t find anywhere else. Kudos to them for providing delivery and pick up options that are super COVID friendly as well!

Google
Love angels ate lemons! Let the Angels help you choose from a special selection of interesting wines you will not find elsewhere. OR, try one of the many "curated" options or "subscriptions". I have enjoyed every bottle of wine purchased from here ~ since the inception. It is an adventure for wine lovers.

Cannot recommend Angels more highly. Phenomenal selection, kind, brilliant crew, beautiful space. Have shipped wine from AAL to Florida, NJ, and NYC and friends have been wild for it. Love, too, the poems included with the wine. (Lucille Clifton! June Jordan!) Absolute favorite spot in Baltimore. Everything about Angels--just perfect.

Google
Love Angels Ate Lemons. The wine selections are fabulous, drop off is a breeze, and the staff is wonderful. They’ve also sponsored events for The Baltimore Supper Club, including a wonderful history of natural wine (pre-Covid). Just love this store. Really great addition to Baltimore!

Yelp
Loved my experience here. The person there was so helpful. I was able to taste test a few wines and ended up buying them both! All natural wines, I didn't have a hangover the next day. Been dreaming about my next bottflit

Yelp
This is one of the most unique and amazing new Baltimore spots I've been to. Owned by the same awesome business woman who runs Fadensonnen, WC Harlan, Clavel, etc. I've been told this used to be the warehouse for the wines and sakes sold at Fadensonnen, which they've opened into a beautiful store. This place is awesome, unassuming, and staffed by some of the most knowledgeable and chill people I've ever met. Firstly the store is only open Saturday's and Sundays from 12-5. You ring the little white doorbell with the angel over it to be let in. When you walk in, the huge open windows makes the space feel warm and inviting. There's a record playing on the record player that is fun, soothing, unique. You see the beautiful flower arrangements by the window available for purchase, also from a small local business. The selection of wines and sake at first glance is overwhelming. There's a small bookcase in the front room and a humongous bookcase in the back with a "beauty and the beast"-esque ladder giving the staff access to the gigantic selection. Also there's another small selection in front of the big selection in the back. Their wine menu list is as large as what you see. At first I thought holy shit! How will I ever figure this out?! But fear not, because the amazing people there know more than any average human would. The staff that man the store are also bartenders at Fadensonnen, and their knowledge of the selection is out of this world. They can tell you about any bottle you see. Or you tell them what you like, or the flavor or mood you're trying to capture, and they got you! Not to mention there is always wine tasting available!!! I should have mentioned this first. There is always a selection of 2-3 wines of their choosing for tasting. I've been introduced to natural and orange wines which I love! I love that they buy a lot (if not all?) of their wines from small batch producers. The quality and love is just so different and unique. This place is top notch. I love stopping in after a coffee at my favorite spot downstairs. Do yourself a favor and immerse yourself in the ambience of this place. Taste some wine and bring a bottle home! Side note: they do sell sake which I have not tried nor purchased. However if you're a sake fan, I would guarantee the staff have a great wealth knowledge about that too!

Yelp
Whenever I travel home from Brooklyn, I have to stock up on at least a case of good wines because the Annapolis area is seriously lacking when it comes to interesting and newer age/new world varietals-- not a skin contact, natural, biodynamic wine or lighter bodied Gamay/Beaujolais in sight! When Fadensonnen came to town, things got interesting. And Angels Ate Lemons followed suit! What an incredible selection! A couple interesting Bichi bottles, some solid MD representation with Westminster varietals I can't find up North, stuff from Lucy Margaux.... I could go on and on and on. Clearly, these ladies take the time and care when selecting their line-up. And it blows many Brooklyn wine shops out of the water. The space is beautifully curated as well.... A converted/seemingly converted apartment space-- classic Baltimore rowhouse architecture...high ceilings, exquisitely tall windows, patina'ed wood flooring, floor-to-ceiling shelving with a rolling ladder, great records playing, ample greenery, candles-- the whole nine yards! My only minor complaint would be that while the associate was incredibly kind, welcoming and hospitable, she knew little about many of the wines we asked about, leaving us to consult Vivino for tasting notes. Totally understandable as COVID has made it more difficult for folks to hold staff tastings-- but just a note! Will definitely be back for another visit very soon. Just wish there were more wonderful spots like this in the DMV!

Yelp
Craving wine in the times of Corona has led me to resort to corner bodegas with the same wine selection and bottles standing up right- ensuring lack of quality. That is NOT what I got from Angels Ate Lemons. The website is so clean and user-friendly, which made it so easy for me to pick out what I wanted, and they provided all of the information needed in making the right selection. The wine I got was perfect for summertime, and you could TASTE how natural it was. Trust me, it makes a difference. No-contact pick up was effortless and there is plenty of parking on the block. I will be back during quarantine, I will be back after quarantine, and I regret not coming sooner. And if you take nothing else from this review- please please PLEASE read the letter from Angels Ate Lemons that was in my pick-up bag. It sums up their energy, their quality, and most importantly, their core values that make them the perfect addition to the Old Goucher/Charles North neighborhood.
