On the Grid : Angels Flight

"Built in 1901, Angels Flight is the shortest railway which has carried more passengers per mile than any other in the world. Although it takes less than 5 minutes to walk up or down the stairs along the route, I'm sure wearing a wool dress in the early 1900s didn't make it such an easy hike. The flight consists of two counterbalanced cars controlled by cables which travel 315 feet. When one car is at the top, the other is at the bottom. It's a fun way to get up Bunker Hill." - TypeEd

On the Grid : Angels Flight

"Amid Downtown's glossy buildings and bustling byways is a rickety old track that sits above Hill Street. The two car funicular trolley once serviced the populations of Bunker Hill and the Historic Core by transporting passengers to-and-from either location along a steep grade. Today, the tracks sit as a testament to a bygone era and provide a particularly picturesque feature as the vintage engineering sits against the backdrop of modern steel and glass." - Canopy

15 Surprisingly Romantic Places in Los Angeles

"Established in 1901, the Angels Flight railway has carried millions of Angelenos up and down the steep incline of Bunker Hill. Though the 315-foot trip only lasts thirty seconds, it is believed that Angels Flight has carried more passengers per mile than any other railway in the world, making it not only the shortest in length, but also the most traveled. Despite its popularity, the Angels Flight line has faced its fair share of setbacks. The original railway was forced to close in 1969 as the surrounding area faced heavy commercialization. The famous orange trolley carts were kept in storage for twenty-seven years until the line reopened in 1996 - this time, just half a block south from the original site. For the most part, the railway suffered few technical malfunctions until 2001, when a serious accident killed one passenger and seriously injured a few others. The National Transportation Safety Board deemed a “design failure” as the cause, and the historic line remained closed for the following nine years. It reopened to much fanfare in March 2010 and then shut back down after a minor derailment in 2013 and has been shuttered ever since, falling victim to vandals. Today, the counterbalanced cars, named Olivet and Sinai, are being repaired and restored to their original state.  Update June 2017: Construction scaffolding is up and the stations and cars are being repainted. Angels Flight Railway will officially reopen by Labor Day 2017. Update September 2017: After having to huff and puff up the steep steps of Bunker Hill, Los Angeles pedestrians can relax after Angels Flight reopened on Labor Day 2017." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

Google
We have seen this location on many TV shows and always thought it would be great to see it in person. We didn't get a chance to see it last time we visited LA so this time we made it the first place we visited. We were not disappointed it's a little piece of history in the middle of LA. There's food and drinks available all around the area for all tastes and budgets, along with restrooms. There's a small fee for using the railway I think it's a fantastic place to visit.

Google
Very cute and fun experience! Took it on the way up, it’s only $1.50, and u pay upstairs. It runs until late! (10 pm). if u pay for the round trip ($3.00) you also get a souvenir ticket!

Google
It’s a railway that goes up a hill and comes down simultaneously with two carriages moving in opposite directions. Many Hollywood films and series have been shot at this location. The carriages are well maintained, and it’s a great way to enjoy a quick two-minute ride—perfect as a short experience after a meal at the Grand Market restaurants.

Google
This is the cutest and best way to get up the hill in downtown San Diego. It’s $1 for one way, you pay at the top. They take tap to pay! The operator was super nice and answered any questions we had. It’s a cute place to take photos but mostly the best way to get up the hill. Check it out!

Jay Thompson

Google
Pretty cool experience after seeing it on Bosch. You buy the ticket when you get to the top. It costs like $1.50 or so.

Google
It’s a beautiful landmark, but… This landmark, on Los Angeles’ hill street, is a beautiful landmark. As a relic of times past, this is the last part standing of the old Bunker Hill neighborhood, razed for the creation of commercial centers. As a tourist destination, it is a beautiful and upkept (at least in the main area) place. Speaking of being upkept, it seems like the main tram is clean, with only slight amount of grime. Specifically on my trip, I found a loose earring that someone lost (very fun). On the stairs that you can choose to climb to make it to the top station, the aforementioned stairs were highly dirty. Even worse, it appeared like there was a liquid dropped from the top step of the stairs. It would be amazing if they cleaned it. In terms of the tram, it’s mostly an amazing trip from both top to bottom. The attendant was very nice and friendly! However, the only reason why this review isn’t a 5 star one is simple due to the fact that the tram literally rattles as it changes direction on the track. I don’t know if it is age, wear, or lack of maintenance, however, the tram rattles. All in all, I would give, if I could, 4.5 stars for this location.

Google
I first saw Angel's Flight Railway around 1998 when driving by and just couldn't stop thinking about how fascinated and excited I got at that time. Now, in 2025, I finally drive from San Diego just to see this fascinating invention AND ride it up and back down - the shortest train ride in the world, but we'll worth the wait.

Mark Savoca

Google
A super fun, easy and inexpensive train ride. A must do if you are in the area. We road it up the hill, walked around the plaza then rode it back down. You pay at the top, so no need to buy tickets at the bottom. Once you get off at the top you can pay $1 per person for the ride up and buy return tickets if you are going to take it back down.
google avatar

Brian L.

Yelp
One buck for one way. Totally worth it, even though it's super short. How can I possibly write more to get up to 85 characters? This is a mini-train that will take lazy people up/down a hill. Such an inexpense! And you get to write a cool Yelp review afterwards!

Yelp
Angels Flight is an L.A. fixture that everyone should visit at least once. It's a delightful downtown attraction. Bring some change for the $2 round-trip fare (or use your tap card for half off the price). It's right near Grand Central Market and La Cita bar, and the whole nearby area (at the top or bottom of the track) is fun to explore and photograph. After you've ridden, Google vintage photos of Angels Flight in the early 1900s, '20s, '30s, '40s. Though it's just a short little tip, it's lovely to experience a tiny bit of Los Angeles history.

Yelp
Angels Flight Railway connects passengers on quick ride between the Grand Central Market and MOCA areas. They are open everyday from 6:45am-10pm including weekends and holidays. It only costs $1 per person to ride, or 50 cents with the Metro Tap card. Cash and credit card accepted. Either way you pay at the top. When you come from on top you pay before going, and when you come from the bottom, you pay when you exit. They are pretty quick and efficient, so you can catch a ride every 5-10 minutes if it isn't busy. Super neat attraction. Great spot to show any visitors. The kids also enjoy it. I really liked it as someone who is still a kid at heart.
google avatar

Megan G.

Yelp
Rode this iconic railway with my son and husband. My eight year old son was amazed that something so old could be so cool. At only a dollar for a round trip ride it was a fun family activity to do after lunch at the Grand Central Market. A wonderful piece of Los Angeles history.
google avatar

Joyce T.

Yelp
Short ride, $1each ride. No AC, it's very warm during summer days. The wait is okay on a Saturday afternoon. We used this ride to bypass the walking from The Broad to Bradbury building.
google avatar

Lauren F.

Yelp
Only $1 each way! Just hop on at the bottom and you'll pay when you exit at the top. Or pay at the top and just exit directly at the bottom. There are no workers at the bottom, you just get on.
google avatar

Helen K.

Yelp
This is an historic part of LA history that I have read about but never experienced. After visiting the Broad and MOMA we found ourselves by the entrance. The ride is only $1.00 and takes 3-4 minutes but it is fun and you get beautiful views. We ended up at the bottom neat Grand Central Market with its numerous food stalls.
google avatar

LINA M.

Yelp
Cool 2.5 seconds experience. It's $1 each way and it takes you up a flight of stairs that you can also take. We paid to get up and ended up walking down. We went on a Sunday afternoon and unfortunately everything upstairs was closed.
google avatar

Conor B.

Yelp
Angel's Flight is just such a beautiful historical gem hidden in plain sight. Throw in the fact that it's only $1 for a ride and how could you not take a couple minutes to enjoy its simple charm? Having it located around other downtown locations like MOMA, Grand Central Market, and the Disney Concert Hall also make it a nice little addition to any trip to the area. Personally, I like starting from the bottom and climbing up to the top. You get rewarded with a wonderful view at the end. But you can't go wrong with whatever direction you decide to travel.
google avatar

Jason V.

Yelp
Fun nostalgic historical experience near great dining. Depending on the line to take the next car, it may not be faster than taking the stairs, but it is a must do once if you are in LA. TIP: Download the TAP app to get half off one rider.
google avatar

Marjorie U.

Yelp
Tourists will dig Angels Flight. It's a quick ride that'll save you from trudging up the stairs. It's cheap and pet-friendly, and kids will totally have a blast. Just a heads-up, there's no AC, so it can heat up in the summer.
google avatar

Jonathan T.

Yelp
Nice quiet view in the middle of DTLA. It's a great spot for sunset after grabbing a bite from grand central market. There is a fee to ride the trolley but also stairs next to it to reach the top for free! Up top is a great location to take pictures.
google avatar

Margaret P.

Yelp
Angels Flight is a historic railway that's been a staple to DTLA. Located right across the street from Grand Central Market, it's something you can't miss! The ride is only $1 each way (I think it's even cheaper if you have a Metro Tap card). The train will take you to bunker hill where they have eateries and museums! It's a fun way to enjoy DTLA.
google avatar

Yelp
Such an awesome experience in LA. I only learned about Angels Flight a few years ago even though I grew up in So Cal. However, when we recently went to LA we were looking for neat things to do with my nephew that weren't crazy expensive which can sometimes be hard to find in LA. We went to a few other places and late in the afternoon we decided to go to Angels Flight. It is across the street from Grand Central Market so we parked in the garage attached. It was only a couple dollars. We walked across the street to Angels Flight. It is so neat. The car is historic and it looks like you are traveling in an old railroad car except it is a funicular. It is only a dollar each way. If you start at the bottom and go up, you pay when you reach the top. They take cash or card. You can then also purchase the return ticket or you can venture down the stairs if you prefer :) It was a very cool experience and I would totally do it again!
google avatar

Jagruti L.

Yelp
I highly recommend visiting the Angels Flight Railway. It is great for the whole family. It is right across from the Grand Central Market (food court). You can park at the public parking structure next to the market. I paid $4 for just an hour. The Angels Flight Railway cost $1 per person for going uphill and downhill. In order to activate the ride, you must enter and be seated. Please do not enter if you see the red light lit on top of the train. You will pay for the train ride once your go uphill. You can also use the stairs. Once you are the top, you can explore the area. Enjoy your Angle flight ride and have fun!
google avatar

Jasmine K.

Yelp
My family and I happened to be at the grand central market across the street. This place was featured in La La land and we noticed it was walking distance so we decided to check it out. You ride up and pay at the top and can also pay for your ride down at this point. You're able to walk around a bit and take in the views. We really enjoyed this little side adventure
google avatar

Jim V.

Yelp
"the destination is better than the journey" ... wait...what?!? Angel's flight is not much more than a historic rickity stair climber. How can you say that???? Well, I rode it today. I takes just a minute or two and the ride is neither scenic nor smooth, but at a buck each direction it is kind of a bargain. From Hill St or the bottom the railway climbs to perhaps one of downtowns best public spaces. From the top down it concludes at Grand Central Market. I would guess a thousand riders a day use it for those reasons and the rest ride it for no reason at all. All aboard.
google avatar

Kevin H.

Yelp
You can't ask for more on this quick ride up and down the hill in downtown. From the bottom of the hill by Central Market, you can easily get into the tram that runs every 2-3 minutes or so. Then you can pay for it using the metro card and you just have to wait about 5 minutes before getting back on to go down the hill. Good tourist attraction!
google avatar

Shaun S.

Yelp
Try this at least once! It's in the middle of everything, so you have no reason not to try this. It's a short ride (about a minute) and tickets are $2/person round Trip. If you have a stroller, you'll need to break it down.
google avatar

Todd G.

Yelp
Sometimes I'm up to the sense of accomplishment I have after walking up those steps. (Down is always a breeze.) But it sure is nice -- and fun -- to ride this wonderful, historic funicular train. Sit all the way in the front of you can and enjoy the fresh air. I love that you can use your TAP or MetroCard here if you don't have any singles with you.
google avatar

Sherry Z.

Yelp
Not too much to say about Angels Flight. It's something I remember seeing in multiple TV shows and movies and I happened to be in the area and thought it was something to check out. The area surrounding it is nice with plenty of little eateries and a museum. The railway itself is pretty short but for a $1 ride (each way) I definitely got my enjoyment out of it. Go ahead and check it out if you are in the area for a historic activity to do.
google avatar

Randy C.

Yelp
Located right across from Grand central Market, is a cute little railway that takes you up a hill. Nothing super fancy but definitely something if you're in the area to take advantage of. The railway is not the smoothest or quietest ride but cute to say you've done it. Costs $2 per person to ride and takes all of 2-3 minutes. If you start at the bottom and ride to the top you'll pay the attendee once you get up top and receive tickets for your ride down. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but if you're in the area definitely make the stop.
google avatar

Crystal G.

Yelp
Historical angel flights. Inflation is gone up. The price went up no longer a $.50 ride. Two dollars back-and-forth. Ouch. Has

Yelp
A unique and fun experience right in Downtown Los Angeles! The Angels Flight Railway is the shortest commissioned railway in the United States and opened in 1901! Let's just say that this railway has seen a lot of change in Downtown LA! The ride itself isn't long, but the experience is one to remember! The employee at the top of the lift, which is where you pay for your ride, was extremely friendly and seemed to really be enjoying her job working on this piece of history. The cars were clean and well maintained. When looking for a unique and fun way to explore a piece of Los Angeles history, check out the Angels Flight. It's fun for all ages!

Yelp
When we were planning a day out with our young granddaughter, heading to DTLA and catching a ride on the Angels Flight funicular was on my agenda. It's always on my mind to introduce her to historical venues, plus beautiful gardens, interesting architecture, natural beauty, and other neat things. We caught a gorgeous day downtown - about 76 degrees, with all the fresh spring grasses on the Bunker Hill landscape to add visual character. We parked on Hill Street, near Grand Central Market, and headed over to the lower gate. The program is that you pay at the top, so we entered the vintage railcar and took our seats. It was almost full with riders / tourists, and with a few more additions after us, we were off on our short ride. The ascent goes pretty quickly, so I had to scramble to catch a few photos. Our 3 year old companion had wide eyes at the movement of the car, but she liked the experience. As soon as we got to the top, she wanted to go down and do it all over again. We had to convince her that there were things to do at the top, and that we'd be going down later. We ended up strolling around California Plaza for a while, checking out the views, the water features, landscaping, and architecture. It was a holiday, so I'd imagine that many office workers had the day off. We mostly had the upper level plaza grounds to ourselves. If you have a Metro TAP card, the fare is half price - such a deal! When it was time to head down to Hill Street again, I was sorry that the ride is so short. Warning: When the car switches to its own track instead of a shared single track on the upper part of the line, it can be jerky and loud. Wasn't expecting that. We survived the surprise! There are two railcars - one going up / one going down. They share a track in the middle of the rail line, but you likely will experience passing the other car during part of the short ride so that the cars end up where they need to be at any given time. Definitely a fun little historical activity to enjoy in DTLA.

Yelp
One of the most quirky and historic things to do in Los Angeles downtown is ride the "Angels Flight"! It's only a $1, so if you have cash - there you go. Apparently they also take the Metro card too. I only rode it from the top down. Still, it's quite a brief experience. It's the only one of its kind in the United States, if not the world. If you're ever in downtown L.A., don't skip out on this.
google avatar

Lynne A.

Yelp
Really didn't know what to expect when I decided to be a tourist for the day in my own town. Heard of the angels flight but thought it would be...more, and like, up a real mountain. It just takes you up and down about a streets length. I still paid the $2 ($1 each way)...but paid 27.50 to park across the street (be careful and read the signs carefully at the parking garage across the way!!) it does serve its purpose I suppose so had to be fair with my rating.
google avatar

Harsha S.

Yelp
Our destination was a different part of downtown after stopping by the Farmer's Market. We saw this train next to a long set of stairs and thought it would be nice to try it out. There was a large group in front of us so we let them go ahead of us. We were the only ones that got on the next train and it was a nice ride up. It was a little jerky, but that was expected. It took around a minute to reach the top. When we exited, I noted that the fee was $2 a person and is where we paid. If we had a TAP card, the price was halved at $1 a person. When we got to the top, we saw a large courtyard and several large buildings nearby. The courtyard seemed to host an array of restaurants and businesses that weren't open at the time.

Yelp
Took my grandsons for a day trip: LA Central Library, The Last Bookstore, Grand Avenue Food Court and ended with a ride up on Angel Flight. A great day and the thrill of the Angel Flight at end was their favorite. $1 one way. Not crowded. Worth it. I recommend if you are in the area.
google avatar

Adam K.

Yelp
It's a classic piece of LA history and a definite "must not miss" if you are here doing tourist things. For those of you who don't know, Los Angeles used to be full of street and cable cars. This is one of the few remaining (maybe the only remaining) Street / cable cars in existence in Los Angeles. It's still operates and you can purchase tickets at the top of the hill. So if you're at the bottom you ride it up and then purchase your tickets as you're getting off. The fares are very inexpensive, especially for what is essentially a tourist attraction. So why the four stars? Well, first of all the car itself is a little rundown. I understand that it's old, and I understand that people in Los Angeles are not respectful of property, but the car is carved up with graffiti and just a little rundown. The next reason for the minus in stars is that parking is very difficult in this area. I understand that is not exclusive to Angel's flight, but it does have an effect if you're coming here to enjoy this attraction. You're going to have to find a paid lot somewhere in the vicinity and then walk over. But overall it's a cool experience and there are some pretty good views at the top of the hill.
google avatar

Russ C.

Yelp
What can you get for a buck now a days! A fun ride up or down Bunker Hill! This cool Attraction is another historic find in DTLA. Actually called a Funicular, a cable car on a rail counter balancing each other. Come see this Downtown favorite.
google avatar

Thomas H.

Yelp
Give this a try if you are in LA. Fun way to get up and down the hill on an iconic tram. It's a well spent $1 each way.
google avatar

Rosie C.

Yelp
Such a cute ride going up and down. Interesting experience since it's in the middle of a busy street. Nice view of the city at the top.

Yelp
I have taken Angel's Flight years ago and it was short and blurry, so I wanted to try it again! It is still a short ride, but is historic, since 1901. It's just up the hill from Grand Central Market up to California Plaza. The area used to be Bunker Hill, along gone neighborhood. Angel's Flight is a major location for movies, lots of noirs were shot around here. It is crowded and fills up fast. Very popular, maybe because it's summer and there are more people visiting? It is kinda shakey, you pay up whe you get to your destination. $1/ride. 50 cents with Tap Card. I actually added that value on out Tap cards, it was kinda of unclear on their site if that's what you need to do. It didn't help that their card reader didn't work. A tad confusing. No biggie, since it's cheap. It does take a while to get going, but the trolleys are cute and charming! Check their site, they do have days when they close it suddenly. It is usually open from 6:45 am to 10 pm. Fun, bumpy ride. A definite for tourists and once in a while for locals. I had my fill for a while. But have fun!

Yelp
Such a great little trolley. I have been coming to DT LA and staying for work for over 20 years. How have I missed this? I was out for a walk tonight and took a ride to the top. So cute. Only waited a few minutes and the tram arrived. (You pay at the top, $1 each way as of 12/2023.). You get on the tram and a few minutes later it goes up the hill. There are stairs that run parallel to the track if you wanted to walk one way or the other. However, I probably wouldn't do those after dark. Ride takes about a minute. Very clean and scenic.

Yelp
the lady at the counter is super rude. she yelled at my innocent friend because her tap card was setting up for like 2 seconds. she made unnecessary remarks like "you don't go to a restaurant without your card" with an extremely condescending tone. at the end of the interaction she told my friend to go away and her hostility genuinely left us speechless. i would've let it slide but this is the second time i've had a bad experience with this woman. both times she was approached with kindness and both times it was only returned with attitude. as someone who works in the service industry i understand the difficulties of dealing with customers on a bad day, but it wasn't that. this old lady is just evil and finds joy in ruining good people's days. someone needs to check her.

Yelp
Rode for the novelty of it, of course. $1 ride,; pay with exact change or tap to pay with transit card. Pay at the top. At the bottom walk across to Grand Central Market or at the top walk over to City National Bank Plaza.

Yelp
** Dogs not allowed inside rail cars** I've wanted to see Angel's Flight for years because Jimmy Stewart was there. (In the film Glenn Miller Story) So Betty Mae and I finally made it there on a weekday. It turned into a rainy day but that's fine as it keeps the crowds away. When we arrived, well after taking 6000000 photos of my Betty Mae at Angel's Flight, we asked if Dogs are allowed. Sadly no. The lady was super nice about it. Big bummer though. So, I bought a souvenir ticket took some quick photos top and bottom of rail and that was that. Still THE Jimmy Stewart was there! Plus this is Los Angeles Historic Cultural Monument #4 and US National Register of Historic Places. Such history. Thankful this rail has been respected and beautifully restored. Check it out one day! Great spot for out of town guests. Lower station (on Hill) is across from Grand Central Market. I read in Wikipedia the cars have names- Olivet and Sinai. Bradbury Building and Million Dollar Theatre are about a 5 minute walk from here. We parked at Pershing Square but next time we'll park at Little Tokyo and walk about 15 minutes to Bunker Hill.

Yelp
Angel Flight Railway is a historical spot of LA, which near by Grand Center Market. The railway is international knowing by the scene of famous La La Land movie . The railway is short but it's unique with vintage vibe. The starting point is from S Olive st, and end at a hidden park between busy buildings. From here you can see the beauty of Angels City . If you are tourists or just want to find a spot with vintage city vibe and cheap with $1 tickets for each way , so there is the spot for you.

Yelp
There's some undeniable charm and nostalgia from riding this very short steep slope with @angelsflightrailway It is a very short ride but great views of LA and the cityscape. Fun fact: It was shown in the La La Land movie It is near the Hill Street entrance of the Grand Central Market in downtown LA. Did I mention that the fare is just $1 one way? It's a fun little ride. Add it to your list of things to do in LA.

Yelp
Who wouldn't like the world's shortest rail line!!! A most excellent way to get from and to Bunkerhill, the $1 ride is memorable and exciting. Free admission to MOMA and grabbing some grub down below at Grand Central Market can now be an adventure in DTLA. Use your TAP Card and save 50%!!

Yelp
This was so cool! Spoiler alert! It's a quick 2 min ride lol Been living in LA my whole life. Just now trying this out. It's cool because of the views and there's so much sight seeing. Buildings, buses and clear blue skies. Definitely worth checking out. It's $1 up/down. Plenty of photos you can look at from other yelpers. I love LA but it cost more for parking lol I came during the week so that's probably why it's not packed. God place for photos for you ig folks lol

Yelp
Such a cute little piece of history in downtown LA. It's only $1 a person each way. Very short. I felt like it actually took longer to get going than the actual ride. Husband and kids decided to go up the stairs instead and actually got to the top before we even got going. Very bumpy, but didn't really expect anything smoother. Either way, I'd go again. If you're not up for climbing up the hill, this is a nice cute way to do it.

Yelp
I could be over selling this, but the two minute lift up (or down) Bunker Hill is pretty dang cool. I'll admit there really isn't anything special about the trip up, no special surprise at the top, no incredible views, but the rail and coaster fan in me tends to appreciate these attractions nonetheless. Angel's Flight is known as a funicular. Most funiculars are self powered once both railcars are placed on the track. The railcars are conveyed by cable and the railcars counterbalance each other by using the potential energy of the hill to move about track. It's the closest thing to perpetual motion you can find. It costs a smooth $1 each way. That's approximately 50 cents per minute. Sure you could take the stairs for free and get up the hill quicker. The hill really isn't that intimidating, but no need to be a kill joy - go head and hop on! At base of the flight, you'll find one of LA's finest food halls. That's actuality the only reason I even noticed the Angel's Flight attraction.

Yelp
What a cool hidden place to give a try! A short ride down history lane. $1 train ride up and another $1 down. .50 cents per person with the app they have. Cool city view at the top. Definitely a gem to explore!

Yelp
Such a fun nostalgic ride. Don't forget to stop at central market when you get to the bottom.

Yelp
It's been years since I've been on this flight, mainly because it's been closed down. I am so glad it's still open. It was only $0.25 per ride when I was last here. It is $1 now (one way) but it's still an inexpensive attraction in this area, and a convenient way to go up and down between Hill and Grand. I usually take it from the bottom on Hill Avenue (across the street from Grand Central Market) then hangout on top by MOCA Museum. Surprisingly, I rarely see people going on this ride. There was only one other party riding with us on our way to the top today. Every other seat on the ride is marked off now for social distancing. If there are too many people on the ride, just wait for the next one, as it seems to run constantly throughout the day.

Yelp
If you are in the area do not miss this shortest funicular in the middle of Los Angeles. It's a historic funicular that goes up and down the steep area of Bunker Hill. Unfortunately, today's we were bit able to ride since its closed for renovations..

Yelp
Nice little tram that goes up to the top to let customers off and then back down for more customers. Off to the right is a stairway for those willing to get some cardiovascular exercise.
