"Built in 1901, Angels Flight is the shortest railway which has carried more passengers per mile than any other in the world. Although it takes less than 5 minutes to walk up or down the stairs along the route, I'm sure wearing a wool dress in the early 1900s didn't make it such an easy hike. The flight consists of two counterbalanced cars controlled by cables which travel 315 feet. When one car is at the top, the other is at the bottom. It's a fun way to get up Bunker Hill." - TypeEd
