2022 Restaurant Closures in NYC | Eater NY

"Losing Angel’s Share felt like a huge bar loss, though the opening of Martiny’s somewhat redeemed that void." - Eater Staff

Lynn and Laurel would not stop talking about Angel’s Share, and the FOMO was real!!! So I grabbed my boyfriend and rushed over to check out their Christmas theme and cocktails. We had a reservation but arrived a little early and asked the hostess if we could just sit at the bar instead. She said no problem at all. We came in around 6:30pm, which might be an odd sweet-spot time, because we were able to snag a couple of bar seats right away! The entire place is fully decked out for the holidays, super cozy, festive, and so cute. They’re currently running a special holiday cocktail menu, so we ordered from that. Rachel was behind the bar and took great care of us despite how busy it was. I started with a Classic Old Fashioned and followed it up with a Smoked Old Fashioned both great choices. My boyfriend ordered the Old Fashioned and Making Christmas, and I have to say, his drink was actually really good! Angel’s Share is small and gets very busy, so I highly recommend making a reservation. If you’re planning to eat here, just know the food menu is limited and food can take a while. We had already eaten and came mainly for drinks, but my boyfriend ordered onion rings to snack on. I tried them, but they were falling apart and not really my thing. For me, Angel’s Share is perfect for a festive, post-dinner cocktail or a quick drink with friends but not necessarily a spot I’d choose to dine at. Great atmosphere, fun seasonal cocktails, and definitely worth a visit during the holidays.

We have visited Angel's Share Whiskey Lounge in Belmont Shore only a couple of times. We have not had any food as of yet so all we can talk about are the cocktails. We have gone off menu and bartender recommendations and have been very pleased. Recently ordered a Carajillo and even though they did not have espresso it was still quite delicious. We like the atmosphere and the staff was friendly. Good friends of ours belong to a program that they offer for exclusive tastings and they are very happy with that. Nice to have them here in the Shore.

If I could leave zero stars I would!!!! This place looked cute for the Christmas season, but don’t let that fool you. We made reservations for 2, got seated right away and ordered drinks. My drink took about 15 minutes to arrive, and then we ordered food. Another 30 minutes went by only to receive RAW chicken. Even the server looked shocked when I showed him, and he took it back to the kitchen. I ordered another drink to ease off and wait for my food to be remade, but again neither my drink OR my food came. I ended up canceling both my dish and my drink and asked for the check only to be rung up $100+ for some appetizers. Never again. AWFUL!!!!!

Fabulous bartenders that exceed the expected. Great Happy Hours. Hosted whiskey and spirited tastings. Rachel was amazing.

Great experience every time, any time of day!! Delicious food, super friendly service, great atmosphere (only side note I would prefer music over NFL with commercials 😆)! happy this is right around the corner! Love the Holiday decor!!

Google
This place is absolutely amazing. Small, intimate location with a welcoming vibe. We were celebrating a milestone birthday and the chef,Josh, came out to check on us. He brought us a sample of a new soup he created. The sliders and goat cheese balls were both awesome. A friend said the muzzles were the best ever. We shared two rounds of old fashioned flights. It was one of the most enjoyable evenings ever. The server/bartender was so friendly sand provided great service. If you are in Long Beach, you should try it.

Enjoyed my visit. Had a couple drinks. Ryan was very good and his recommendations were spot on! Thank you for a tremendous experience.

Google
Stopped by to grab a quick drink and ended up staying for many more. Halle Parmesan french fries and the chicken Parmesan sandwich. They were really good. What I enjoyed the most was the huge selection of bourbons. Talked with Jack the owner and he suggested a couple of different bourbons. Tried them both and they were really good. Jack really knows his old fashions and if you need to suggestion, just ask him. When in the area stop by and enjoy one of the best old-fashioned you’ve ever had.

Yelp
I revisited Angel's Share during the Christmas pop-up, and the vibes inside were super cute and festive! The cocktail napkins were themed, and the holiday drinks had cute Christmas tree and gingerbread man toothpicks to tie everything together. The server who took care of my group gave good drink recommendations and checked in on us regularly to refill our water cups, which was nice. As for the food, one of the highlights were the brussels sprouts, which were perfectly crispy and balsamic glazed up. I ordered the patty melt sandwich, which initially arrived at my table without the caramelized onions advertised on the menu. I just let my server know and she took it back to the kitchen to add the caramelized onion. It tasted MUCH better with the caramelized onions included. My friend ordered the heavenly burger for $5.55 during happy hour, which is a great deal. She enjoyed the burger, however upon picking it up, the bottom burger bun split in half, which was inconvenient to eat. Overall the food was tasty, just some minor hiccups listed above. Our group enjoyed our experience at Angel's Share.

Yelp
I can't speak to the quality of the food or drinks because I left before having any. Stopped in around 5 pm on a weekday to try out the happy hour specials. There were a few people scattered along the bar, and the bartender was at the end, working on the little handheld computer they use to take orders. It was bar seating only, all of the tables had "reserved" signs on them to discourage people from sitting at them. I had a seat at the bar, took a look at the menus, and waited. She never looked up or checked to see if anyone at the bar needed attention. After I was waiting a while, a couple of people entered, walked up to her, and started chatting and placing an order. Still, she never looked around to see if anyone else at the bar needed assistance. I finally left and had lunch at the Poke place a couple of blocks down. Maybe putting a bell on the door would help.

Yelp
These sliders are the TRUTH! Josh is the chef and he is killing it back there. The whisky selection here is fantastic, the beer selection is tip top. The star of the show though is probably the sliders. The caramelized onions with the cheese, and the bun is perfect. The bartenders are great and the atmosphere is really cool also. Do yourself a favor.

Yelp
Omg!! The most amazing Christmas pop up with amazing cocktails!! You have to go! The decorations are to die for with the amazing staff as always! You will feel the spirit of Christmas surrounding you!

Yelp
Food: 5/5 Mussels, drinks, appetizers were delicious. Drinks were pretty strong and good. Old fashion was awesome, espresso martini was made well! Service: 5/5 Staff was quick and inviting. Great team. Ambience: 3/5 Interior is great, outdoor seating is interesting. Ground had a slight slope but overall worked well.

Yelp
This place is very cute and definitely worth trying. We came on a Saturday afternoon, not very busy. The staff were all very welcoming and attentive. They greeted us and sat us down immediately. I think our servers name was Billy and he was great. We only ate appetizers but what we ate was delicious. The cauliflower was cooked very well. The Goat cheese balls were very good, and paired perfectly with the apple and honey that came with it. Fries were also great. We got wings which were alright but honestly my least favorite of the night. The drinks here are a very good, a lot of whiskey of course but they have other speciality drinks that are vodka, gin, tequila based. Drinks came out pretty fast and tasted very well made. The restaurant is on the smaller end, but the decorations are cute and pretty. They have a small seating area outside in the front as well. Parking could be difficult, just street parking is available.

Yelp
Drinks Only- We were looking for a cocktail bar after lunch, so we decided to grab a drink at Angel's Share. As we entered the bar on a Saturday afternoon, we were offered a coupon for a free cocktail- bonus, although later found out that it was to be used for the next visit, but the bar honored the coupon. The bar has a lengthy bar along one side that you can curl up. Otherwise, there are some seats and table among the other side. Plus, there is seating outside for nice days. We sat at the bar- and all of us felt better seating was needed as the cushions were shot- we all sunk into our seat cushions. The bar is known for their large assortments of Whiskeys. The cocktail menu had some interesting drinks on the list as well. We ordered four different cocktails among us, we were satisfied with our drinks but not overly impressed that we wanted another drink.

Yelp
Angel's Share Whiskey Lounge completely surprised me, in the best way. The vibe is lowkey luxe, perfect for a chill date night or a laid-back brunch with friends. I tried the steak & eggs, the chicken piccata, and the roasted cauliflower with whiskey sauce and pistachios, and wow. That cauliflower alone is worth the trip! Their cocktail menu is creative and whiskey-forward (as it should be). Bonus: $5 happy hour is a stea, Whiskey Wednesdays & Thirsty Thursdays. And if you're a member, you get monthly whiskey bottle giveaways and food/drink discounts.

Yelp
I'll start by saying we came here for lunch...on a Saturday...party of 10. That said, they were not prepared for us. (I'm thinking most likely they have more staff at night and can better accommodate larger parties.) The server was very nice and upfront about how long our food order would take. (A verrry long time) I appreciated her honesty. So we adjusted our order to get things that wouldn't take long-tater tots, fries and wings. Okay-it is a whiskey place...Sooo maybe ordering a beer wasn't the right thing to do on my part...but they didn't have any if the 3 beers that were on their menu-so I gave up.. Hopefully they are more prepared at night. Side notes: *Located in Belmont Shore-so parking isn't the easiest. *They don't have physical menus-you have the QR code / website for your options. .
google avatar

Danny V.

Yelp
We probably won't be back to this place. Maybe they need to be better staffed for the weekend. The service was ok but very overwhelmed. The wings were extremely undercooked but the taters were good. Taters and fries is all I recommend.
google avatar

Eduardo P.

Yelp
Cocktail and mock tails were great. Selection is amazing, would definitely recommend a flight. Bartender was overwhelmed and it was easy to feel a bit unattended to. Bathroom was having an issue when we visited and not flushing, no signs and not super clean.

Yelp
Second visit to Angel's Share. This time we brought out of town guests with us and had dinner (vs small bites) along with cocktails. Thursday thru Saturday they serve a 42 oz Tomahawk with sides. Four of us split the Tomahawk, added a second salad (for two) and of course their garlic Parmesan fries. Plenty of food. Sides were Brussels Sprouts (done perfectly) and Gouda Mac n Cheese. Both were delicious. The Tomahawk prepared to perfect doneness. It was served pre-sliced, very easy to.serve and eat! Caesar Salads were also excellent! Cocktails were excellent. We ordered Espresso Martinis and Old Fashions, including one that was smoked. Nice experience having a smoked drink served at your table! Service was excellent and our out of town guests were pleased with the food and experience!

Yelp
On our progressive food-&-drink outing in Long Beach, we stopped into Angel's Share for a cocktail. Our bartender was friendly-&-welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive, creating beautiful drinks for us to enjoy at the bar top. We're always impressed when a bar uses large, clear ice cubes -- and bonus that these were attractively stamped, as well (it's those little details that elevate our experience)! The "Angel's Kiss" ($19) was quite a show, presented in a tall glass dome, which once the dome was lifted, I enjoyed the delightful waft of smoke in the air; however, I wouldn't necessarily order it, again. The bar was brightly-lit mid-afternoon; our thoughts are having the lighting dimmer would be more intimate and add to the whiskey/cocktail bar atmosphere. Glad to have experienced it.

Yelp
Yay! My first review of the year The drinks were drinking and the food was fooding Came here for a celebration feast with two friends of mine The question is, what didn't we have?? The parking does suck, it is street parking in a busy part of town. But, I can't hold it against the place. Just beware if you can't walk far / aren't lucky enough to get an up close spot The menu really surprised me. They had a bit of everything. We ordered a couple things from the brunch menu Crab scramble with caviar Brunch burger Delicious garlic fries Korean smoked pork belly sandwich Fried buratta (sooo good and came with delicious pieces of grilled bread) Whiskey Cheesecake (Drink time now, some drinks were on their holiday menu) Churchills box- came with bubblegum cigars Angels club Angels 75 Little toy soldier Naughty and nice Espresso martini Honestly, everything blew me away. We came at 1 pm on a Sunday and it wasn't crowded at all. With how good the food and drinks are I'm shocked there wasn't a huge line. (I did make a reservation though which was super easy) Our waitress, Erin said it's mostly busy at night and when people are watching the games ( they did have a few TVs going. Even though this place didn't give me a sports bar / place to watch the game vibe) I also liked the chandeliers and the color scheme And let me tell you, the bacon on the brunch burger was some of the best I've ever had I'll 100000000 percent come back. Sign up for emails. I keep getting notifications for their specials of the day (such as happy hour and even karaoke nights) Since my first time eating here I've already came back again and my girlfriend who came with me has already been a repeat customer as well

Yelp
$5 Burgers on happy hours Nice owner Good service Nice restaurant Outdoor seating Drink specials Add this to your list Ambience was quiet at hh esp compared to places like Dogz or PJs
google avatar

Molly B.

Yelp
My friend and I went here for happy hour and got there about 15 minutes before it ended. Server asked for our drinks (only) and walked off before we could add in the food for happy hour so our drinks were HH but the food was put in at 6:02 so no happy hour. What the actual heck! I get that she was the only server and had two other tables outside and two inside but this felt deliberate. Especially as she asked the table next to us for drinks only then walked off quickly and another table outside shouted to request another drink order to her before she went inside as she was beelining back in. Not only that but the bathroom was nasty and smelled like pee, it took forever to get wine and a margarita, and the food was mid for me (hamburger) and subpar for my friend (Mac n cheese). We went because the HH deals looked great and we hadn't been before, but after that experience we have no need to ever go back. 6:02. I still can't believe it!

Yelp
Service was good but the food was not. I had a zucchini burger and it was literally zucchini sticks on a bun lol.

Yelp
OMG I was so disappointed that, at least for now, Angel's Share has taken steak tartare off their menu. Quite honestly this is why I dragged two friends from DTLB. Having literally walked all that way, we opted to stay and I was glad we did. A few hiccups along the way still. This was my third visit to Angel's Share & the second time I requested a Vieux Carre, a rye-based whiskey drink from the Carousel Bar in New Orleans that I think of as a New Orleans Manhattan albeit I always request it to be made with Four Roses bourbon. Again, not surprisingly, our server was not familiar with the drink but I will say it came back delicious. It's much smoother than a regular Manhattan and less sweet than an Old Fashioned. I will also say that although I use large ice cubes at home, I think Angel's Share's cube a bit too large and I feel like I'm getting less of a drink. This may or may not be true. Just an impression. Without the steak tartare we went ahead and ordered the Roasted Cauliflower, Local Mushrooms, and six Angel Wings with orange sauce. A few minutes later the new chef Joshua Cicchetti appeared and apologized that they were out of the mushrooms, so we then ordered the Smoked Pork Belly Sandwich which I've had before. The Cauliflower was excellent. Firm and roasted and NOT falling apart. The Angel Wings were so-so. Not on my repeat list. But ah the Smoked Pork Belly Sandwich was excellent and Chef Joshua did us a deal by making 1.5 sandwiches for the 3 of us. Kudos. Now I will say that the cucumbers were not as zingy as the last time I had the sandwich but the sandwich was still delicious and the bread grilled to perfection. And OMG the FRIES WERE CRISP AND HOT. Now I know foodies might not get excited about hot fries, but I can't tell you how many times I've been disappointed by limp, cold fries. Cold fries are a sign that the food has been waiting to be delivered OR the fries were made a lot earlier and not warmed back up. Chef Joshua also treated us to a dessert experiment of non-bake cheesecake. It was interesting and we gave our comments. Not my thing but a good stab and we discussed the pros and cons of it. Although I was very disappointed about the steak tartare, I will say that restaurants typically have to shake out their menus to see what fits the local venue and that's what's happening here. Chef Joshua (Cicchetti) is certainly trying and hopes to bring steak frites and a tomahawk offering out soon and with that might be able to resurrect the steak tartare. Although he's leaning toward adding chicken parmesan to the menu, I'd encourage Italian homemade meatballs with a side of ricotta, a handful of arugula and some of that grilled sourdough bread. Service was, as before, very good. Hope the menu shakes out. I'll be back

Yelp
Bourbon and karaoke!!! Bring it!! We were lucky enough to find this great little local spot on Belmont shore on a Tuesday night, which is also karaoke night! But most importantly the selection of bourbons is fantastic. I consider myself a sipping snob but I tried a flight of the "best bourbon you've never heard of", which was true! The taco specials were also really good- my friend really liked her beef and chicken tacos, and I the veggies. Fries were solid. Kevin karaoke, the host, was really fun and sings and plays along with the guitar and saxophone. But what I loved the most was the very relaxed and friendly supportive vibe. Everyone had a great time singing (and some very talented ones!). An A+ night !!

Yelp
This quaint new bar is located on 2nd street, next door to the infamous Panama Joe's. Two completely different vibes. [AMBIANCE]: Angel's share offers a more intimate, luxurious vibe with its dark and gold tones vs its neighbor Panama Joe which is more casual and rowdy. [SERVICE]: Bartenders at Angel Share were super friendly and greeted us the minute we sat. They conversed with us the whole time we were there. [FOOD & DRINKS]: The menu could be on the pricy side but everything we ordered was really tasty. - Smooth Operator ($19). Being a whiskey bar, we had to try one of their old fashions. The sweet undertones from the blueberries blended with the whiskey well. This is one of the best old fashions I had in my life. - Angel's 75 ($15). Super light, refreshing cocktail with gin and lavender notes. This will keep you cool during this heat wave. - Crab Lump Melt ($22): Recommended by the staff, this sandwich suprisingly had hefty amounts of blue crab. Super buttery, toasty, and delicious. [CON]: Their bar chairs were uncomfortable to sit in. The cheap material mixed with the heat caused you to stick and sink in like quick sand. Maybe turn on the a/c up a notch to compensate? [OVERALL]: My fiance and I are glad we came. Everything was worth the price point. We want to try their whiskey tastings and happy hour next time.

Yelp
My friend and I came here for Yelp LA's Treat O'Clock deal, and it did not disappoint! First, the service was amazing. The server was very knowledgeable about the drinks and had good recommendations. We also were checked in on often. Our drinks were very good. I can't remember the name of mine, but I asked for something not too sweet. My friend got the Good Intentions Old Fashioned and liked it. We ordered the pear, prosciutto, and burrata salad, which was DELICIOUS. It was both of our favorite. All of the flavors were well-balanced, and the added citrus was perfect. We also enjoyed the shoestring fries and a cured meat and cheese board. Our favorite by far was the pear, prosciutto, and burrata salad.
google avatar

Vala R.

Yelp
My husband and I are big whiskey fans. We've been wanting to try Angels Share and finally made it last night. It was fabulous! We tried the Good Intentions and Smooth Operator old-fashioneds. The Smooth Operator was too sweet for us, but the Good Intentions has that great whiskey flavor. We opted to try several shareables for our dinner. They were all very good, but our favorite was the Fried Goat Cheese balls. The bread for dipping in the Fried Burrata was amazing and the wings had great flavor. Lily was a great server and had recommendations and personal favorites to help guide our first visit. I loved the decor - gold booths, black walls & chandeliers. It was fun and kitschy. We sat inside in a booth, so we could watch sports too!
google avatar

Joe S.

Yelp
We tried this place for the first time last night. I was a little nervous about not booking a separate dinner place, but figured we would have some drinks and share some small plates and we would be cool. First, the drinks were really good. There were many different options - they have some great mixed drink options as well as whiskey flights, and craft beers too. We got our drinks and ordered some wings, goat cheese appetizer, and a wedge salad. We thought it was odd that no one was eating, but we found out why. The food was way different than the pics on Yelp, and we were there Saturday night. It wasn't like we stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday when the "chef" wasn't there. I hate leaving bad reviews but the bourbon barrel wings were absolutely flavorless, the lettuce tasted mushy and old, the dressing was clearly bottled, and wait till you see the pic of the goat cheese balls. Just awful. We spent $130+ and had to hit Del taco on the way home. Next time we will go for drinks and book another spot for dinner.

Yelp
Truly an absolute gem of a whiskey lounge and beer bar perfectly suited for Belmont Shore. Came in and was immediately invited to enjoy the soothing ambiance and friendly smiles of the staff. Mixologist Richard was ready to offer suggestions and insights into many bottles of whiskey available and a generous selection of beers on tap. It was my pleasure to meet the amazing Chef Ramsay as she explained her delightful culinary creations with such pride and passion. So much so I knew I would enjoy the shoestring fries, blood orange wings, jerk lamb chops and of course the pièce de résistance: the butchers burger again and again. I would recommend to anyone to order any and all of these the next time they are here. I am proud to be one of the newest member of the whiskey club service offered here at Angel's Share providing me new ways to enjoy whiskey while saving each time I wine and dine here. Definitely looking forward to returning to Membership Mondays!

Yelp
Gave them a first try. The staff was very friendly. Not a whiskey drinker, but tried the Kingsport cocktail (think Long Island Iced Tea). Very good! Started with roasted cauliflower and was very pleased. My Butcher Burger was top knotch and my wife's Beet tartare was very unique and excellent. I would highly recommend giving them a try and I look forward to returning to try other menu items.

Yelp
Didn't enjoy our experience here. BAIT & SWITCH AT ITS FINEST! That coupon you're being offered is for your next visit guys! Make sure you ask LOL. My fiance and I were leisurely walking down 2nd St. and, when passing Angel's Share, was offered a drink coupon for Buy 1 get 50% off the 2nd. We thought, why not partake? It was a Friday night. 8PM. There was only 1 bartender and she was quick and MOVING! We sat at the bar. We ordered the Oaxacan Old Fashioned and a strawberry margarita type of drink (about $17 ea). It was a little difficult reading their menu. Food is on one side, cocktails are on the other. But then to see the beer list, you have to scan the QR code, which we did not realize until after ordering cocktails. Additionally, we looked around and saw people with whiskey flights, but we did not see how to order them? Idk.. While waiting for our drinks, I decided to hit the restroom. Man!! The restroom was horrid. You can tell management definitely does not care for the state of their restroom. It smelled like urine and just looked like it hadn't been scrubbed in quite some time. I'd align it with what you'd expect to see at a public park, except the sink, toilet, walls, and floors were all black - probably intentional to match the decor of the restaurant, or maybe intentional so that it hides the dirt. Either way, after the restroom visit, I knew I wasn't coming back. I just can't bring myself to frequent a spot who wants to be elevated, charges $17 for a cocktail, and has a restroom like that! I would expect that from a dive bar. The cocktails were delicious. However what tainted their taste was when the bartender told me that the coupon is for the next visit, and not the current. I told the bartender, "Oh, but I'm not coming back" to which she said, "Ok, I'll apply it today." -_- well, thanks. As we walked out, I asked the lady who gave me the coupon if this is her place and she said yes. I told her I was advised that the coupon was for next time? & she smiled and said, "oh no .. you can use it today." trying to play it off. I replied, "That's not what the bartender said. What you're doing is misleading." and we continued our drinking elsewhere. After reading their yelp reviews today, MULTIPLE reviews say this! You cannot bait people in with drink coupons, then attempt to not honor them upon checkout. What a joke. For the price and cleanliness, you're better off at Saint & Second or honestly, ANYWHERE else.

Yelp
Received a apology from Angel's Share re my review of their being closed last Saturday which I fully accept as bad things sometimes do suddenly happen. That aside the employees are wonderful and very nice and the food and drink is great. A suggestion for the next time, which I hope never happens would be to give the barber shop next door a call and ask them to put a note on your door. That said I'll see you guys Saturday afternoon now I know it was a one time thing.

Yelp
Drinks were amazing Old fashion good whiskey selection and I had the Naked & Famous (tequila based) the food was Meh The goat cheese balls were great Wedge salad - horrible presentation but tasted fine - good enough Chicken Parmesan sandwich was not worth the $$$ (all thick bread ; dry and no flavor , very little chicken ; couldn't taste it and even took off one side of the bread ; very disappointed and we were still hungry ) went to Nico's and the meatballs appetizer that were 100% more satisfying I would recommend this place for drinks only (oh they were also out of the mussels on the menu so we didn't get a chance to try) don't be hungry ; maybe a snack or two before heading out to dinner somewhere else

Yelp
A great addition to 2nd Street, Angle's Share is my new go-to. For starters, their staff is always willing to set you up with the right drink. Erin one of the bartenders makes one of the best Manhattans, but she's also recommended a few new drinks to try...I highly recommend her Paper Plane if you like something on the sour side. Plenty of whiskeys to try if you're curious too. The food is also amazing with a great chicken parm...the sauce is one of the best. Plenty of items on their menu to choose from. The atmosphere is pretty laid back compared to some of the other bars around, which is a breath of fresh air. They do have events like industry night and even karaoke on Tuesdays that change up the pace.

Yelp
I believe the bartenders name that served us was Rachel. She was so sweet. Constantly checked in on us. She was so warm and made sure we had everything we needed. The place itself is super cute. They have a great selection of whiskey which my friend loves. I'm not a big fan of whiskey so I was so happy to see they had different alternatives to whiskey. I ordered a lemon drop and it was perfect. Will be back for sure

Yelp
Really bad service !!!! Food was raw only one cook. We had a party of 9 service sucks food under cook.

Yelp
Came here for Valentine's Day and was a last minute reservation. Service was somewhat slow but a given for a busy day. Drinks were ok for a whiskey bar. We ordered the clams and the fried burrata to start, these were good and tasty. Then we ordered the pork belly and steak sandwiches, these lacked in flavor.

Kim B.

Yelp
Bombdiiggidty Bob... Josh the chef here is amazing. The mussels, ribeye fries and goat cheese balls were delish! Erin the waitress hooked us up with her great service and immediate attention when we needed service! The playlist to add to the cool hip vibe set the stage for a good time! Super happy with this place!

We stopped in for happy hour as we really enjoy whisky and bourbon and they advertise happy hour with banners outside. 1 bartender for all customers inside and out so service was slow. Disappointed that the happy hour really only has 1 whisky old fashioned and 1burger. They have a huge whisky list and other higher priced apps though. Ordered a favorite whisky off the list for my old fashioned. It came out very weak, but the bill was for a double shot, so I paid $18 for a weak old fashioned. Wife had the happy hour old fashioned for $10 which was much better. The next night we went to a different Irish bar and my same favorite old fashioned with the same whisky I ordered was $12- wish it wasn't true, but it is!

Yelp
It's a wonderful life in here! Every time a drink is poured an Angel gets its wings! And we most definitely need our wings if we're going to Bee buzzing out of here! But before I elaborate on that let me tell you what we sampled. The pork belly sandwich which was good and the brunch burger that came with a mouthwatering slab of bacon and the crab scramble that came with a little caviar. The food was pretty good for being bar grub. The drinks were what we were here for and they didn't disappoint. Presentation a plus and the potency a plus plus! We had their Toy Soldier, Naughty and Nice and the grand finale, Churchills Box.Two smoked infused Old Fashioned cocktails that hit on all points. Man, I'm never ever going to want any other type of whiskey ever again. To cap off the memorable adventure I had the Whisky Cheesecake and it was a blend of dark chocolate with a little hint of whisky flavor. And there's that! The service was good and if you've ever been this side of Long Beach, the parking could be sometimes a little difficult. And that's my take on it, Peace...

Yelp
Came here to the first time since I've heard of this opening and was not disappointed. We ordered the meat and cheese boards, wings, and burger. The meat and cheese board was great -even came with honeycomb. The burger had a sourdough bread which was different but went well and the wings with a maple whiskey sauce were perfect. Would definitely come back again.

Yelp
I have been here twice now in the short time they have been open, and it is a testament to their fantastic service. They have been so accommodating to us and we were a large group with various requests. My friend was celebrating her birthday the first time we came, and they even brought us a complementary Prosecco toast. The food was tasty, my friends had the chicken wings and mushrooms and really liked them. I ordered the prawns and cauliflower which were delicious. The only item I thought was not up to par was the fig appetizer, lacked flavor for me. The whiskey selection is pretty extensive and we got to try several flights among us that we enjoyed quite a bit. They have special flights on Wednesdays and if you sign up for their membership, they also offer special pricing. Overall, loved it and will be back soon.

Yelp
My friends and I decided to give this place a try since we heard it was fairly new. The atmosphere is nice, there's a rustic/modern feel when you walk in. We ordered the cured meats & cheese board, hot italian sandwich, BLT sandwich, and the horseshoe fries-- which they all came out at completely different times. Each dish came out about 5-10 minutes apart from each other, with the fries coming out at the very end (we each had one dish and shared the fries). The prices are on the higher end, especially since the sandwiches don't come with a side so if you want something along with your sandwich you have to order it separately. To give you a look into the prices, it was $20 for the italian sandwich and $10 for the fries. In my opinion, I felt like the BLT sandwich could've been better. The bread was really oily/buttery (not sure if they toast the bread with butter) but when I bit down, I was overwhelmed with the amount of oil/butter and was not compelled to finish the other half. My friend ordered the hot italian sandwich and received her sandwich with mustard in it. She was very confused because the menu didn't state there was mustard as one of the ingredients so when we asked our server for clarification, he stated that he's pretty sure there's mustard in it and we let him know it wasn't on the ingredient list and he replied stating that sometimes it's listed and sometimes it isn't. It doesn't really make sense because my sandwich listed mayo so why wouldn't the italian sandwich not list mustard? We all agreed this should be updated because what if she was allergic to mustard and it's clearly not listed lol! Our server was very attentive and always kept coming by to check in on us so that was a plus!

Yelp
Hands down one of the best culinary experiences I've had in a long time. The chef at Angel's Share isn't just cooking -- they're creating art. Every dish was layered, bold, and balanced like it was telling a story. You can tell there's passion in every bite. The flavors hit hard, the presentation was next-level, and the energy? Impeccable. Whoever's running that kitchen? Dope as fck*. Period. If you're lucky enough to score a seat, prepare to be blown away. Respect to the chef -- you're raising the bar.

Yelp
Checked them out last night during their soft opening. Usually we wait until a place has been open a bit but, glad we didn't. It was fantastic! Balanced, delicious cocktails & yummy bites. Can't wait for them to be fully opened. Enjoyed the ambiance & all of the staff were great. Excited to be a part of their whisky membership too!

Yelp
Drinks are solid. Street metered parking available. Food is overall good, nothing incredibly special. I'd return solely to enjoy drinks and appetizers next time.

Yelp
Overall great experience. They are still in their soft opening stage and will have their grand opening next week. The service was top notch. Our server Cindy was attentive, sweet and her recommendations were on point. She was knowledgeable with the drinks and gave really good recommendations to try. The food was flavorful as well as the drinks. Definitely will come back. Thanks again to Cindy and Michael for making our dinner a pleasant experience.

Yelp
Had a wonderful date night with husband at Angel's share. We showed up about 10 minutes early for our reservation time and were prepared to wait. To our delight, the host team seated us right away and then we had the honor of seeing Chef Melissa in person. Our server Cindy took beautiful care of us and got us started with a Jameson neat, an Angel's 75 (a delicious riff on the French 75) and the beautiful meat and cheese board. Dinner was outstanding. The rib eye was grilled to perfection and enhanced with a bourbon sauce and flake sea salt. The lasagna was a flavorful plate of comfort with the best cheese pull. (Can't wait to dive into the leftovers.) Dinner ended with an affogato kicked up with a delicious stout. We will certainly be back to eat through the entire food menu and work through the impressively large whiskey list. #angelssharelongbeach #angelssharelb #chefmelissa #longbeachdining #secondstreetlongbeach #jaxtasticlife

Yelp
food: their parmesan french fries were crispy and buttery, but just the right kind amazing overall. The chicken Parmesan sandwich was huge definitely shareable for two. The chicken was thick white meat. Nice slab of cheese and the sourdough bread was perfect. We also had goat cheese fried balls with I believe, honey on top amazing with a lot of goat cheese and a side of sliced pears the beer selection was wide and varied. The owner is very knowledgeable and both beer and whiskey ask him for his recommendations.

Yelp
Great drinks. Service was amazing. We had a few appetizers and each of them was really on point. Whether you are there to chill for the night or just grab a cocktail before dinner, this is deff the spot. It's also a beautiful space to hang with friends or date night.

Yelp
I had celebratory drinks with my wife because he just bought a house. I had the old-fashioned and she had the espresso martini. The bartender was rad. Then we ordered brussels sprouts and mac & cheese and both were incredible. Definitely recommend the spot.

Yelp
We live down the street been wanting to try this place out for a while. We came in server we had great. took our order we waited literally 40 min for a drink people who came in after us got served before us. They were saying drink is on its way I had 5 glasses of water before a drink. (Never got thebl drink) Finally when we saw the couple who came in way after us get a drink we got up and left honestly we went and ordered fries down the street and got them in 5 min better service and didn't look like he hated his job. 10 out of 10 wouldn't recommend this might not reach the owner we normally dont write negative reviews but really do better 40 min to drink water and no whiskey at all whiskey bar.
