The Biggest Los Angeles Restaurant Openings in April 2025 | Eater LA

"One of Los Angeles’s most popular street taco stands opened its first permanent location in Anaheim on April 12. Operated by Taquero Angel—who opened the first taco-stand location outside North Hollywood’s John’s Market in 2018 and now has spots in Van Nuys, Echo Park, Eagle Rock, and more—the menu is a traditional taqueria lineup with aguas frescas, cheese-grilled quesatacos, mulitas, burritos, and vampiros, all filled with proteins like pollo, asada, cabeza, and chorizo. The new spot is less than 10 miles from Disneyland." - Mona Holmes

I used to visit them when they were an early pop up shop. This is the first time going to their brick and mortar store! Just like the pop up, the food was spectacular and they were all so nice! The cheese tacos were fire, the loaded fries, delicious, and the torta just hits different! The one thing I had that they never had before, was the micheladas! The mix they make is very satisfying. They're gonna need a bigger dining area soon!

Google
Even though i rated the atmosphere a 3, it doesn't matter... COME TRY THIS PLACE! THE HYPE IS REAL! The flavors are outstanding! I tried chicken, asada and of course their legendary PASTOR. The Pastor was hands down the best of the bunch and I would rate it in the top 3 (maybe even top 2) of best i have ever had. No doubt. The Vampiro was a great change of texture from the street tacos, and the queso taco was insane delicious. Their salsas are light and full of delvious flavor. Get these tacos loaded... dont be afraid. No weird flavors here, all top grade delicious Do not miss out on this place if youre visiting and looking for top tier best tacos to add to you experience bank.

Google
Visited this Mexican restaurant recently and had a great experience overall. The cashier was polite and welcoming, and our order was taken in a timely manner. A table opened up soon after, and someone came fairly quickly to clean it for us. The place looked pretty clean, which added to the positive experience. The food was fresh and full of flavor — everything we tried was delicious. The horchata was just okay, but everything else made up for it. Would definitely come back!

Google
Absolutely one of the best taco places I have ever been to! Fantastic food here with good fast service and affordable prices. They make their own corn tortillas as well which make it that much better! The pastor is the best I have ever had but their other meats are great as well. Had both tacos and burritos and both were amazing! Focus is on the meat and not the fillers. Fantastic place!

TeeTee R.

Google
Tried the suadero, cabeza, pastor, and carne tacos. The suadero and carne were both a bit tough and on the salty side. The pastor and cabeza, though, were pretty solid. The guacamole and pickled onions were also extremely salty. Someone was a little heavy handed with the seasoning that day. Overall, not terrible, but there are definitely better TJ-style taco spots out there.

Google
I'm so glad that I don't have to chase these people down anymore on the street corners. I used to watch their Instagram postings to see where they were and always waiting for them to come back to Anaheim or Buena Park. If you've never tried their food you have to go it's the best taco I've ever had and this is the first time I've ever ordered the baked potato. Everything was great. I just wish they had more tables to eat at. The counter is not great because the chairs are too tall.

Google
Incredible place that started from a humble taco stand and became a legendary staple in the community. The welcome you with open arms and speedy service. Once you walk in, you are met with the smokiness of the meat and great aroma. The tacos are filled with a lot of meat and toppings. Their slogan is guac is no additional cost, and they don’t play around with that. 4 tacos was more than enough for me. I started feeling full after 2. Al pastor was my favorite of the order. It’s sweet and savory. Cabeza’s texture was incredible too. For the angel’s potato, we had the brisket on top. The potato is like 4 meals in one. So much food and toppings. The brisket was great as well.

Google
Super good El Pastor burritos. Huge menu. All items are reasonably fair, considering every restaurant is high priced. Plenty of parking. A bit crowded, but I guess that's good. All the tables were full and a line of folks at the door to order.

Spazz D.

Yelp
BOMBBB one of the best tacos spots in OC!! Honestly the Al pastor was my favorite and the aguas were so delicious they have a strawberry lemonade with cucumber and chia in it sooooo good !!! The service was great ! They work in fast pace and yet the food still comes out fresh and hot and so yummy ! I will for sure recommend more people to this spot and it will for sure be my next spot to come get tacos after a peda !

Yelp
I love Angeles Tacos!!! I first found their taco stands around the Valley and was obsessed right away. When I heard they opened up a restaurant, I had to check it out and honestly, it's even better. The food is amazing, everything tastes super fresh and full of flavor. The restaurant itself is really clean and has a nice, welcoming vibe. The staff are all super friendly and make you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. You can tell they really care about their food and their customers. Overall, just such a solid spot. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. 10/10!! I'll definitely keep coming back and always recommend it to anyone looking for good tacos!!!!

Gabriela G.

Yelp
One of the best burritos I've ever had, so flavorful and fresh! Everything was super clean, the service was fast, and the vibe was just right. Manager Gaby is amazing, attentive, and truly on top of everything. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Angel's Tijuana Tacos has been on my list for a while, and the al pastor burrito I tried ended up being the highlight of my night. The meat was tender with a deep smoky sweetness, and every bite had that perfect balance of char and seasoning. The portion was generous too, so it felt like real value for what you pay. Service moved quickly even though the line looked long at first. The staff worked efficiently and still managed to stay friendly while handling a steady crowd. It helped keep the energy light and made the wait feel shorter. The outdoor setup has a lively street food vibe with the grill going and music in the background. It is casual and busy, but in a way that fits exactly what you want from a spot like this. Great food, easy atmosphere, and solid service all around. I would absolutely come back for another round of al pastor.

Yelp
I've heard a lot of hype about their $12 breakfast burritos via TikTok and I had to find out myself if it was valid or not. Trust me, it indeed was! I decided to try the breakfast burrito with al pastor and it was phenomenal! It was a pretty big burrito with a good ratio between your choice of meat, eggs, cheese, and tater tots. The tortilla was nicely thin with a good char & stretch to it, the eggs were super fluffy, and the al pastor was thinly sliced with good char! Not to mention, the tater tots added a nice slight depth in texture but I do wish it was a lil more crispy. One of my favorite things about this place is the unlimited, self-serve salsa & condiment bar that had grilled onions (I LOVE IT)!! I would absolutely come back again and definitely recommend you try it!

Yelp
I've been to their taco stands in LA, so I was super excited to hear they have a store in Anaheim. I came on weekday and it was still a bit busy, but the line moved fast. My friend and I shared the loaded fries with carne asada and al pastor and each had 2 tacos. The al pastor tasted exactly like the one at the taco stand and they don't skimp on the toppings. The 2 tacos themselves were already super filling but we had to try the loaded fries. We omitted the onions from the loaded fries, but they give a heaping amount of meat. We wished the fries were a bit thicker but other than that, it was really good. The staff was really nice and there was plenty of parking. I'll definitely be back to try their other menu items.
google avatar

Luis G.

Yelp
Whatever metric you use to grade a SoCal Breakfast Burrito, Angel's will rise to the top of the list. Ingredients: They are fresh. A constantly moving assembly line of cooks working their craft to perfection. Tortillas are amongst the best in the city. A salsa bar to add whatever you feel is necessary. You wont find many "authentic" Mexican places add taters to their menu but it fuses perfectly to the breakfast burrito and now I want to go back to try the Chorizo, then Al pastor, then Bacon breakfast burrito. The size is perfect. The value is there as I'm now used to paying at least $15 for any quality burrito. I will be back here soon.

Yelp
I don't have much to even say other then truly, Holy S***. Not gonna lie I thought I had already had the best of LA/Anaheim, I was wrong, this is the spot. Seriously, if you go nowhere else at all, go here. The Al Pastor is incredible, this place knocked Tacos Los Cholos down a peg for me, and I mean that. It's incredible, it's fast, it's fresh... I had no idea how I can eat tacos outside of so cal anymore.
google avatar

Brenda C.

Yelp
Tasty tacos for a good price! I only got tacos during this visit but definitely will return to try the other items. We got our food somewhat quick even with the line consistently building up. The tacos were loaded with lots of tender and tasty meat. Great addition is that there's an open salsa bar with the onion and jalapeno toppings. There's limited tables so prime time could be hard to dine in but saw most people got to-go. I will be back for more!
google avatar

Erica M.

Yelp
So this place is popular on social media networks but it was very disappointing. The alpastor tacos were warm at best and the meat wasn't tasty. They were a 4/10, they look better than they taste. The carne asada was okay 6/10. However, they do have a really good guava aqua fresca. That drink made the meal taste better.
google avatar

Yelp
A solid 4.5/5 stars! Fast, great friendly service. They were very efficient. Priced just right IMO for the size of the taco you get... which is pretty filling for me. We ordered a bunch of tacos for the family: Al pastor, asada, cabeza, and chicken. All of it was really good and flavorful except the chicken was a little dry. My favorite was the pastor and cabeza (head meat). They are really generous with toppings. When ordering they ask if you'd like all the toppings on it and each taco has a big dollop of their guacamole. Love that the amount of guac on there is so generous but it does over power the rest of the taco. Not a complaint, just an observation! They also have a self serve station with salas, cilantro, grilled onions and peppers that is refilled constantly. I think this location will do well. Glad we live nearby cause I found a new taco spot!
google avatar

Suzanne S.

Yelp
So I came here with high expectations. With all the reviews and the IG plug, I was ready for some tasty carne asada. The line was long. Great sign. The place was clean with the salsa bar not being overwhelming. The menu has a variety of meats and options. Unfortunately the carne asada didn't wow me. And the brisket looked like pork but tasted better than the asada. That was interesting. Everybody is different though.

Yelp
My new fave taco place Better than los chilos imo Tacos huge for 3.25 plus guacamole included crazy good deal Asada was so flavorful and the al pastor was legit Lots of parking There was a line but it was quick Salsa bar was clean lots of containers
google avatar

Pauline V.

Yelp
Tasty tacos and the best part is ample parking! The al pastor here is legit, they even have the spinning thing and slice it fresh for every order. The carne asada was filled with flavor. The portions pretty big as they put a lot of meat in the taco. Would def come back to try the vampiro and mulita. Wish they had a taco Tuesday special

Yelp
I've been doing a taco tour of sorts the past month or so and it's not such a bad way to live!! I finally got around to trying out this spot last night and while I knew it was in Anaheim, I had no idea it was basically Buena Park. Anaheim is a big ass city. Anyway, guac lovers rejoice! They don't play games when it comes to guac because that shit is LOADED and it comes with everything on the menu. I ain't gonna even lie, I hate guac. PUT YOUR PITCHFORKS DOWN THOUGH because I am open-minded to it when it gets served with it. It wasn't bad with it and I can absolutely see why people love it, but man it was a bit much personally. The taco ate very messy and shit was falling apart left and right which brings me to the main thing I ordered: A burrito. The burrito was a very good size/weight. I got suadero for the burrito and it was SO good. Some bites had chunky bits of tender suadero and those parts were the best bites. However, the salsas are very bland and the extra hot & hot were definitely NOT hot. Meat quality here is really good, service is friendly, and the restaurant is clean despite how busy they are. It can be hard to find a table during peak hours though!
google avatar

Steven W.

Yelp
Open til 2am on the weekend with indoor and outdoor dining, line moved relatively quick. We ordered the carne asada, al pastor an chorizo taco with everything on it. It was a little spicy for me so next time I will ask for nothing on it and add it myself. They tacos are large and good. Carne asada is my favorite. The chorizo is a little salty. Service was nice and quick.

Yelp
We go to Angel's Tijuana Tacos pretty often. We're big fans of this place. Their tortillas are homemade and their tacos come with guacamole. I would say for the price of each taco your getting a good deal. The people are also nice. The staff always engage with you and will talk to you to make sure your order is correct. The location is smaller so it can get pretty packed on busier days but I believe they're doing outside seating now to make space for more of their customers. Amazing taco place all their food is great! I recommend trying it out!

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place for a while now and so glad hubby finally wanted to go. Came in with no one inside at a random hour. There was a lady under the counter who greeted me while Flipping through her purse. Another gentleman eventually said hi to me. I waited. Waited. And waited. Then finally someone came to take my order. I'm not sure if I waited long because the others didn't understand English? But that wait was quite odd. It took a long time and there was workers there but no on was helping me. So service for me is one star off. The place is a decent size. A few tables and clean but I didn't stay since I ordered to go. The wait for my Food was pretty quick but like I said, I was the only Person there. On to the food: I ordered brisket, al pastor and tripa. I ordered brisket vampiro and the rest were tacos. They have a pretty good size menu but I had to keep it simple First before trying the rest. I always love my Tripa and hubby loves his pastor. I also love that they have a little salsa bar. They have the pickled onions which are my favorite also! Unfortunately, when I opened my box at home, I did not get brisket instead I got carnitas unless brisket looks like pork? I was pretty upset since I was excited about my brisket. Sooo another star taken off for that! But, the carnitas was delicious! The Al pastor was chefs kiss! I will definitely ask for my tripa to be crispy since it wasn't, next time, but still good. Overall, I'll be back! And next time I'll check if my order is right before I leave or Eat there.

Yelp
SoCal is blessed with so many amazing taco spots. This place is among them. The meats were amazingly seasoned and the flavors with all the sauces and side grilled onions and jalapenos were so good. Great pricing too. Our faves: carne asada, al pastor. Suadero was good too! Def recommend a visit.
google avatar

Peter L.

Yelp
Purchased 3 things: Pastor taco with everything. It was good and packed with flavor. My only con was that because they add so much salsa and guac that the tortilla starts to fall apart almost immediately. If you are getting it to go I would recommend getting all those things on the side. The second item was a Carne Asada Burrito Con Queso. All the items inside the burrito were good and extremely yummy however the whole burrito fell apart. It wasn't wrapped correctly. Last item was a Agua De Fresa. Very delicious, it was a bit thick, so if you aren't a fan of thick aguas frescas stay away from this one. They do have a salsa bar which is great. My last remark is, the person who works the cashier was extremely rude. Basically felt rushed through the whole process of ordering. I can understand if there was a line and busy but no one was behind me. My wife has been to this exact location before and she said the same thing.
google avatar

Ruthanne R.

Yelp
Quick, friendly, and absolutely delicious. If we lived here, we'd be regulars. I really appreciated that they build each dish by ingredient, so we could avoid onion for my husband.
google avatar

Danni O.

Yelp
Ordered take out and AGAIN - they forgot a whole order of loaded fries, rice and beans. I had a bigger order: 6 tacos, a vampiro, fries, rice & beans and thankfully checked my bag this time. I had to go back to the lady at the counter and she looked confused and was looking for it for a few minutes. Please make sure your customers are getting their complete orders
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty wild to see Angel's Tijuana Tacos parlay their taco stand success into an actual physical store! Although this particular location is not particularly close to me, I was in the area and decided to check it out. First thing I noticed is that the line is out the door. Don't worry, it goes pretty fast. Got in line and we put in our order within 10 minutes. Got four tacos, one each of asada, al pastor, cabeza, and suadero, as well as loaded fries with asada and al pastor since you can't get the fries as their taco stands. As usual, everything here is top-tier level. I think that the taco stands are slightly better. Don't get me wrong, we're splitting hairs here. These tacos are still better than practically everything else out there. Service here is great. Real easy to order, and you pick up at the other side of the counter. They also have their own salsa bar and another bar where you can pick up fresh vegetables. Since it is so busy, finding a seat could be a challenge. Luckily, we were able to find a table. They even cleaned it for us before we sat down. I can see how Angel's has a market in Anaheim for Mexican food. They probably smoke the competition out the window! Also helps they're open late as well.
google avatar

Ayesha Z.

Yelp
This is the late night go to spot! There's been times where I've been hungry pretty late at night and wanted something more than just fast food. The quality of the food is pretty good and they have decent prices. The service is quick and attentive! We ordered some burritos and a mulita and they came out pretty quick within 10-15 mins. We went around 12am on a Wednesday and it was packed inside but we were able to find a table. Def prefer this late night spot compared to others!
google avatar

Andrew N.

Yelp
I've always been a huge fan to TJ style tacos and found out I no longer have to go all the way down to SD to get some. I really love the additional toppings you can't get at most places like guacamole. Asada (5/5): Very tender and delicious. Pastor (5/5): Smoky and flavorful Brisket (5/5): a very unique new try. Overall really enjoyed this place.
google avatar

Dominic G.

Yelp
Everybody loves ANGELs for its TACOS!!! I come for the LOADED FRIES! Hold the Guac and Salsa!! ANGELS...Where Wednesday is FRYday!!
google avatar

Anusha B.

Yelp
This taco spot has become a go to spot to grab food. Their tacos are consistently really good and you can tell they use fresh ingredients. The workers are always kind and welcoming even which makes the experience even better. I'm especially a fan of their habanero salsa and al pastor! It has great flavor and the perfect level of heat. Definitely a solid choice if you're looking for tasty tacos.
google avatar

Christine C.

Yelp
We got tacos, nachos, and carne asada fries. Everything was so good the meat quality is great. We tried the tripe, carne asada, and al pastor. Service was quick and the food came out in a timely manner but the place is quite small for how busy it is so it can get quite crowded and finding a place to sit can be a problem. This place is probably better to order as takeout to eat at home. Prices were fair too for the amount of food you get and the quality. This is my new go to spot for tacos now.
google avatar

Thuyvu P.

Yelp
Came here on a Wednesday afternoon around 12 pm, pretty busy and a bit of a wait. I got a cabeza vampiro taco a queso carne asada taco and some regular tacos as well. All were bomb as expected , the setting toppings with sauce, guac, cilantro and onion is a must! Overall good food but service was a slight fall, we got our food to go and didn't realize until we got home that we didn't have our burrito, tried calling a few times to assert if they can give a refund but no one answered, lost out on $13+
google avatar

Nick W.

Yelp
I was visiting California and was recommended this spot by a friend. Easy to get to, plenty of parking, and a lot of seating inside. The place is very clean and bright and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The food was exactly what I was looking for. Fresh ingredients and great quality. There is even a salsa and vegetable bar to add to your tacos exactly how you like it. The horchata was really good to if you like it on the sweeter side.
google avatar

Sandyna S.

Yelp
This place is a must!! Their tacos are amazing and the guacamole on top is soooo good! I found them on instagram. I'll definitely be a returning customer. They also have an $8 potato special on Mondays. There's a sauce bar that has grilled onions and jalapeños as well!
google avatar

April S.

Yelp
These tacos were so delicious! There was a line when we got there, but it went quickly and they had great service. We ordered the carne asada and el pastor tacos along with a cheese quesadilla. They make all of their tortillas fresh. Everything was so yummy! It is on the spicier side just an fyi, but our family enjoys that. Definitely the real deal.
google avatar

Katrina S.

Yelp
They live up to the hype . Fast service and tasty food ! I've tried this spot and the competition (tacos cholos ) and this place is way better . Would recommend this spot to taco / Mexican food lovers ! The place isn't too big but a good amount of tables and nice graphics on the walls .
google avatar

Sokna S.

Yelp
Food 4/5: Great tasty tacos for those after late night hangouts. The cabeza was juicy and well seasoned. The tripe was the best of the night! Plenty of portion and added with side condiments brought it to the top level. A must try! Service: 4/5 Quick and attentive staff! Ambiance: 3/5 Nice and clean. Plenty of outside parking in this massive plaza.

Offie B.

Yelp
First time here and my tripa tacos were drenched in oil. The taste from tacos went away. Too much oil made me throw. Music is a bit to loud, it's freaking hot standing inside and not enough chairs to sit in...
google avatar

Brian L.

Yelp
Food truck style Mexican food in a restaurant setting will always be my jam. This location is the only one open on Mondays, and they have a $8 potato deal that can't be beat. It's a late night joint, so do expect something of a wait if you hit peak after dinner hours, but it's a great vibe and even better food. Their salsa bar is absolutely jaw dropping, with plenty of salsa options, onions, peppers, all the good stuff, all for free. It'll be hard not to be a kid in a candy store here. The potato is absolutely massive and loaded with plenty of goodies with the meat, sour cream, guacamole, and very flavorful and melted cheese. I didn't notice that they also had tortilla on the side as well, which is a nice complement. Their other menu items are solid as well, I had the tacos suaderos and washed it all down with the horchata. Delicious, even if admittedly it was too much food. I'd definitely come on other nights for the larger menu as well, but the $8 potato deal is an absolute steal. TIP: Go on Mondays for the potato deal.
google avatar

Rob A.

Yelp
I love them for their street tacos and flavorful burritos. Steak and brisket are my go to meats. Juicy , marinated, cooked just right. Don't forget the salsa bar. It's a small place with seating inside. It's clean with a busy friendly atmosphere. The menu is clear, easy and to the point. The prices for what you get are a good value as well. Easy parking.

Yelp
Look no further! You found it the best Al pastor in Anaheim if not OC. Al pastor connoisseur here, cooked with trompo to bring you amazing authentic Mexican al pastor flavor. They shave it right off the beautiful magnificent pile of gorgeous pork, and pork fat with pineapple on top. Top it off with their creamy habanero salsa fuego, magnífico! I only got the al pastor tacos with everything on it. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu and burritos! They have salsas, limes, beets, grilled jalapeños, grilled onions, and pickled onions. The service is very friendly and ready to greet you with a smile. Decent seating inside this small restaurant that packs a huge flavor punch. Nothing like the smell of fresh Mexican flavors and with the sere-nation of Mexican music lovely playing in the background as you enjoy your meal. I fumbled the bag and ate almost all my tacos before taking enough pics. I'll save that for next time when I come back. Here's the pics I did manage to snap before devouring my tacos in pure taco heaven harmony! I'm gonna be a regular here because I could eat that al pastor almost daily mhmm hmm mhmm good! Gracias Angels Tijuana Tacos mucho gusto.

Yelp
We got such amazing service here! The staff were so nice and when we told them we wanted our loaded fries to go, they timed it so they would be fresh at the end of our meal! I got two al pastor tacos and they were so filling. My boyfriend got two vampiros, one cabeza and one brisket- both were very flavorful. They have a decent amount of bar stool seating and several tables, we went on a Sunday morning so they had football on the Tv! If I lived closer, I would come here again!

La Güera A.

Yelp
Visited on a busy Saturday morning, and honestly, it wasn't that great. I tried their breakfast burrito with asada the meat was super dry and lacked flavor. The salsas were also disappointing; they leaned more on the sweet side rather than spicy, which really doesn't pair well with traditional Mexican food. The place was packed, and the smoke from their charbroiler was overwhelming. If you have any respiratory issues, I'd recommend staying away, especially since their AC wasn't even on. Overall, not worth the hype

Yelp
Finally made it in today, saw this place on instagram and had to come try. Sorry to say it wasn't good. Very unfortunate..... according to yelp reviews it's good and I had my hopes up. Ummm not in my case. Line was out the door when we got here but moved pretty fast. Today's visit I had a carne asada and al pastor. The pastor was terrible, very large hard pieces no flavor and carne asada was ok. The eating area is tiny and I had to clean off my own table.... No problem My manzana drink was good tho. Just nothing to come back to. Want some good tacos go to tacomasa or tacos San Pedro. This spot is not it sorry.
google avatar

Bianka P.

Yelp
We got 3 different meats- chicken, al pastor & carne asada- all tacos. Not dry at all, 1 corn tortilla per taco which we liked (not tying to fill you up with double tortillas) plenty of meat per taco. The al pastor actually came with pineapple which I never seem to get at other places. Service was fast and friendly. There were about 4 people in front of us but we got our food in about 5 minutes. There was a dodger game on and it was loud with cheering and celebrating but also very clean at the same time. There's only a few tables inside which is fine. Line gets long but definitely worth the wait! Would go back!

Yelp
Workers are nice and helpful. They cleaned our table before and after we ate. Place was clean. Cashier was knowledgeable about the menu with all our questions. Brisket Quesadilla: HUUGE!! meat was tender and i could really taste the brisket flavor even though it was stuffed with cheese, guac, salsa, etc. Flour tortilla was like anything we could get at a store. Its just okay. I've never had brisket in a taco/quesadilla before, so this was new to me and delicious!! 3 al pastor tacos with everything: So spicy!! The spice overpowered all the other flavors - all I could focus on was my mouth burning. The corn tortilla was thin, flimsy; one tortilla was able to hold the content of the taco without falling apart - unlike some places that require two. I'm from San Diego and have some tj taco shops that I frequent there which are way better. So unfortunately, I won't be coming back to this location because it was alright. Extra guac is free!

Yelp
Having been here a few times I can say this place is the whole package. Fresh made tortillas , spit fire al pastor and tacos al carbon... Tj inAnaheim??? yes please!!! I've been with angels since before their brick and mortar store and there is ZERO change, all the flavors... all the deliciousness! Counter seating and a few tables but super clean! The music make this spot a vibe!! The workers are so friendly and efficient, they work that to keep everything up and up. Love love love this spot!

Yelp
This spot has potential -- you can tell there's heart behind it. But it needs time and better management to really deliver on what it could be. Be ready to wait. Only one person was taking orders, and there's limited seating inside. Usually a table or spot opens up by the time you order. We ordered the Carne Asada Fries, Carne Asada Tacos, a Chicken Taco, and Horchata. The chicken taco was solid -- well-seasoned and flavorful. The carne asada, though? Super fatty and tough. We couldn't even finish the fries or tacos with it because it was that chewy.

Yelp
Food: Food was great with the exception that the tortilla seems premade, it's very thin causing the taco to overflow with sauce, cilantro, onion; need to be a little lighter on the onion with more cilantro in my personal opinion. 8/10 Service: Service was fast, straightforward and overall efficient I'd say in this place.. if your looking for a quick bit for your break at work or something along those lines 10/10 Ambiance: Ambiance felt like I was at tacos el gordo in San Diego tbh it's cool tho not a bad thing at all!! 10/10 Overall 9.5/10

Yelp
I'm so glad that they were finally able to open a brick and mortar! Their al pastor is hands down the best I've had. They cook and cut it fresh from the trompo! Make sure to follow them on Instagram to know the specials. I came on a Monday which is their potato special. Their baked potatoes super fluffy and loaded with cheese, onion guac, and meat. Everything complemented the potato well and it was a perfect bite every time. I also ordered their loaded fries which they only sell in the store. It is packed just like their potatoes. Their storefront is in a big parking lot with plenty of space. The music they play is a bit loud so it might be a little hard having a conversation. There's plenty of space to eat inside (plenty of countertop and a few tables). I would definitely recommend everyone to stop by if you want some authentic food!

Yelp
I'm so happy they finally have a Angels Tijuana tacos right in Anaheim/Buena Park. It's a storefront with everything you expect at the truck plus more. They open at 10am and close around 1-2am depending on the day of the week. Yelpers get a free aqua fresco with review right now so check it out!

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place. I got here on a Sunday night and there was a line out the door. Good sign right? The smokey aroma of meats being cooked on the grill and the sights of the Al Pastor trompo glistening against an open flame means good things come to those who wait, right. Well .. I gor 3 tacos... Al Pastor, Asada and Pollo. They are generously topped with onion, celantro, salsa and guacamole. The tortillas used are your normal household tortillas. Now pay attention, this is key. These tortillas are not made by hand, they are store bought style, meaning they are not made to hold liquid well and tend to aborb it and fall apart. My experience, after waiting 20 minutes (or more) for tacos was disappointing. As soon as I lifted the taco they fell apart. Mind you, I ate these in my car right after. No tortilla consistency. I had to eat them with a fork. To top it off, the meat flavors were bland. The salsa was good and the tacos (what was left of them) needed plenty of it, unfortunately the tortilla would have never stood a chance. Bummer. They get points for a generous amount of meat and guac. But bad tortilla quality killed the tacos. That's a good chunk of what makes a taco! The inside is small, they have a few bar areas and tables and they set up more tables and chairs outside, which is good, because the restaurant has bad ventilation and was extremely smokey. There's also an option to order online ahead of time which I strongly recommend. I drove 40 minutes to try these because I'm a mad man and my main taco place is closed on Sunday. Would I do it again? No.
