Angel’s Tijuana Tacos Review - North Hollywood - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"If taco stands were judged the same way as baseball prospects, Angel’s Tijuana Tacos would be what coaches call a five-tool player. Not only does this taco stand with locations all over LA County excel at juicy al pastor with a flick of pineapple, they also serve smoky grilled asada and flavorful braised meats like cabeza, too. In fact, from the bright salsas to the pressed-to-order tortillas, we’ve yet to encounter anything Angel’s doesn’t do well (dry cleaning? tax services?). Even if you insist you’ve had better this or that at other taco spots, rarely can you find all of it in one place, never mind an operation that has 12 locations stretching from North Hollywood to Long Beach. We're not Angels fans but we're Angel's fans, dig?" - Garrett Snyder

These are the best tacos from Dodger's Stadium to Santa Ana. I can't wait to try their brick and mortar off Lincoln and Knott. There are a couple spots that popped up next to them so there is a street vendor symbiosis going on for us to enjoy.

Google
5 Stars – Best Tacos & Burritos in Town! Angel’s Tacos never disappoints! Their carne asada burritos and quesadillas are absolutely amazing—packed with flavor and loaded with meat. The al pastor is just as good, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Even with prices going up over the past year, it’s still a great deal for the quality and portion size. They set up from 4 PM to midnight, Tuesday through Sunday, so it’s always a solid go-to for a late bite. Highly recommend!

Google
Got carne asada and al pastor vampiro. The Al pastor was 🔥. They will hook you up with more sauce if you want. Went back for seconds

Google
Omg the best pastor tacos, been there twice, got to check their location on instagram stories, found the nearest to me and wow, it’s delicious nothing can beat their pastor. My favs are tacos, eat them there itself.

Google
The taste was mid honestly, I probably should’ve stuck to my usual asada but I wanted was craving chorizo so I got tacos of that. They do put a hefty portion of meat but it had little flavor. I felt queasy shortly after eating and unfortunately had to throw it up. I think it was because the guy didn’t drain the grease out so they were just soggy. Salsa was wack in my opinion, I told her give me the spicy one and it wasn’t spicy at all. Im mexican if the salsa isint spicy that’s a no for me. And for service I told the guy no cheese and my husbands burrito had cheese on the outside. He even confirmed with me like you didn’t want cheese huh and I’m like no and he was just peeling it off like they could’ve just made a new tortilla. The only thing I liked was the handmade tortillas other than that I would not come here again.

Google
This is a pretty good taco spot. They have a lot to choose from with different meats. We ordered the regular taco Al pastor, queso taco Al pastor, keto taco, pollo taco, and quesadilla with carne. They definitely don’t skimp on the meat, everything had a ton of meat with guac, cilantro, onion and salsa. Prices were good due to the amount of food you get. They’re not the same flavor as Tijuana style tacos but still pretty good. If you’re in the area and want to try something new check it out.

Google
Food was alright, had the carne asada and chicken tacos.one friend had a torta, the other burrito. We all agreed mid. Not terrible. Next day we all get diarrhea as we all ate the carne asada. I at first thought it was the avocado as only 2/3 of us had it. But then my friend later reported she had diarrhea. Def was the meat😭. With norovirus on the rise I’d say be careful . Thankfully only that for now.

Google

Yelp
1st time here ! No line so pretty fast we got 1 asada taco And 1 queso al pastor burrito The taco was good the tortilla looks like is freshly made The meat was super soft not that tough carne The burrito wow ! I shared it with my boyfriend and oh lord it's HUGE they put so much meat I couldn't even finish half of it !! The salsas are super delicious! The guac salsa is always my favorite The red salsa wasn't too spicy but I love spicy so maybe that why it was too spicy for me Overall everything was super good Next time I want to try the loaded potatoe looks so good .

Yelp
Came here on a late Saturday night and surprisingly it wasn't too crowded. Long Beach has had a major influx of TJ style taco stands, and from what I've heard Angel's is a pretty legit chain of taco setups throughout the LA county area. They have a convenient location as it's right in front of a huge plaza where most of the stuff is closed by night time, so you should have no problem finding parking. The staff were super nice and friendly. Prices are pretty good considering how much meat you get on the tacos--they don't skimp out! One of the things that makes this place stand out is they have fresh Al Pastor tacos (complete with the pineapple!) and they load it up with salsas and sauces ala TJ style tacos. I also had one of their keto tacos which was super yummy and cheesy, just keep in mind you'll need a lot of napkins! They have a wide variety of meats and they were all delicious so you can't really go wrong. My only caveat is just to make sure you're comfortable being on the Westside of Long Beach (although, it's not that deep in!). Definitely will have to come back here for tacos on another late night.

Yelp
Cash or Zelle only!!! This place is amazing! Their tacos are normally $2.75 but they tend to have deals where it will be $2 per tacos. You can follow their instagram for updates on prices, locations, and hours. For this location, the hours are 4pm - midnight but you may need to give them extra time to set up and prep, so I would suggest being there at 430pm but even then, lines are beginning to form already. Topping are placed on top of the food you oder by the cook but you can also ask for it on the side and they will also prep it for you. I def enjoy this bc it is more efficient and cleaner than everyone hovering around the toppings and doing it themselves. The tortillas are made fresh and the portion sizes are huge! I get their asada and pastor and they really pack on the meats. The quesoburrito ($12.50) is my favorite and I will def go back for it again!

Yelp
Great al pastor tacos! Their burritos are really big and taste amazing as well. Easy parking in the grocery store lot they are set up next to. Will definitely come back if I am in the area again!

Yelp
Excellent food, service and cleanliness. I really appreciate a taco stand that goes above and beyond to show quality and customer service. Gustavo is the best at serving and he ensures all customers are very well taken care of.

Yelp
Los Angeles and street tacos are synonymous. Angel's TJ Tacos is probably the best and most famous taco street vendors. We are lucky to have an extension of Angel's in front of this grocery store in Long Beach. Their asada is good as you get a nice charcoal flavor, but it's their al pastor that is really nice as it's cut directly off the spit. I like to splurge by spending an extra $1 per taco for a quesotaco with the cheese fried into the tortilla. If you're really hungry, you should get a papa loca (translation: crazy potato), which is crazy because of how much they stuff into it. With the amount of meat and fixings they stuff into the potato my wife and I were able to get a few meals out of this by eating it in some tortillas. If you are reading this review and you don't live near in LB, follow their IG @angelstijuanatacos to find which of their 15 locations that you live closest to in LA, OC, or the IE.

Yelp
Angel's is the go to taco stand, and I've been blessed to live by one for the past 3 years from the Eagle Rock location to Long Beach. I love trying new places, and I've tried all the nearby taco stands. No one else comes close! Everything is made fresh and by hand. The salsas, guac, pickled onions and grilled onions are always super flavorful and packs a punch. My wife and I usually go with the Al pastor potatoes and they are hefty! It always takes us two sittings to finish them. Go with what you like and try the potato if you haven't! It's a game changer.

Yelp
Best tacos ever!! Try their Al pastor and carne asada tacos I usually get 3 al pastor and 3 carne asada with everything, (onions, guac, and hot sauce please!) 10/10

Yelp
This taco stand company is hands down the best in California! They nail it with their tacos, mulitas, burritos, and Al pastor. The Al pastor pork cooked on a spitfire is out of this world phenomenal. Their carne asada is perfectly seasoned and bbq charred. Plus, the tacos are generously sized, and the fresh salsas, pickled veggies, and grilled onions take them to another level. Their variety of agua fresca is also a hit. Watching the staff hand-make tortillas and prepare the food right in front of you adds to the experience. I also enjoy following them on Instagram to keep up with their pop-up locations. 10/10

Yelp
Literally some of the best tacos I've had in a MINUTE! The pastor was so so flavorful! I got the pastor nachos and Angel's Potato with pastor CON TODO! Also got a mulita with chorizo. Chorizo was greasy (what do you expect), but do not regret it. They were very quick and friendly regarding service. Luckily they took cash and Zelle. Street parking was easy plus they are right in front of a grocery store so easy to park and eat. Overall 1000/10!

Yelp
Game changer! My friend has been telling me to try this place for years. We were hesitant, until we tried it. It changed our taste of tacos for the BEST! Hands down Al Pastor is the go to protein on any thing: burrito, taco, vampiro or nachos. Carne Asada is the second best. Followed by the Pollo. In my opinion the protein speaks for itself, the salsa, guac, onions/celantro is just an added bonus.

Yelp
Angel's Tijuana tacos is a must-visit spot especially if you love burritos because they are absolutely worth it. I highly recommend the asada and al pastor mix burrito. It's a flavor-packed delight, and the horchata is the perfect way to wash it down. While the location could be a bit better, the quality of the food more than makes up for it. They have multiple locations, but this one stands out as one of the best.

Yelp
Sooo good service was fast fresh and tacos was awesome will 100% be back .had plenty of parking .

Yelp
I don't have to drive in LA traffic to get their food at their other spots in Eagle Rock and Echo Park then stand in their long lines. Glad they have a set up on this side of town in Long Beach with minimal wait. They have fresh hand made tortillas as you often see them making them. The flavor of their food and salsa is incredible. Get the loaded potato with al pastor you won't regret it.
google avatar

Russ L.

Yelp
The best in the area. I love the hand made tortillas. The tacos are delicious, flavorful and authentic. I'm so glad that I don't have to drive outside of LBC to get good tasting tacos.
google avatar

Maricel J.

Yelp
One of the Best Al pastor in town! Corn tortillas are made on the spot, huge al pastor meat roasting on the spot. I love all their green & red salsa, red salsa def have a kick, but it's good if you like it spicy. Their burritos and quesadillas are also good, huge! Great service, friendly staffs, line goes by pretty quickly, just be patient, worth the wait. They take cash & zelle. Follow on IG to get updated times and locations through out so cal.

Yelp
I go by this place before or after work because of the rotating shifts. This place is legit! People are friendly, but they only take cash or Zelle. They speak very little English, but they speak food! Great food and prices aren't bad too!
google avatar

Yelp
The carne asada tacos are the BEST I've had in Lon Beach. Meat is perfectly seasoned and moist. Just everything out together is so freaking savory and delicious.
google avatar

Theresa H.

Yelp
Honestly, I would drive back to Los Angeles just to get these tacos again. Best Mexican food I've had, I would say in my life, but my grandma might get upset with me. So Second best Mexican food I've had in my life.

Yelp
Everything across the board was amazing!! Their Al pastor meat was so goooood!!! Their tacos, vampiros were just great. They even use home made tortillas that they make on the spot. Definitely coming back for more.

Amanda L.

Yelp
This is by far the best tacos I've ever had, hands down! I found out about Angel's tacos while searching for tacos and made the trek to their Eagle Rock location. Worth the drive, everything was bomb!! I was pleasantly surprised to find out they have a location in Long Beach, CA. After finding out about the Long Beach location I am here on a weekly basis to get my taco fix. I highly recommend the queso al pastor tacos... It's heaven in your mouth. Sometimes I feel the tacos are a bit salty, however the flavor, taste and generous portion size outweighs a little salt. Give this location a shot, it maybe your next favorite go-to local Taco spot. Can't beat 4 queso tacos, a burrito and horchata for under $30!!
google avatar

Rosaelena R.

Yelp
The best mf tacos you will ever try , I definitely give them a 10/10 ! Handmade tortillas & the meat it bomb

Michael R.

Yelp
Amazing street tacos! Portions are perfect! Just, wow, with the taste. I highly recommend Al Pastor, also every item is quality. Fire roasted and cut right there on the spot. Friendly service. Great condiments. Also after I recommend the Aqua Fresca of any flavor with it all. Great crowd, via classic car enthusiasts roll by, too. All I can say is...enjoy! Delisioso

Yelp
google avatar

Juan S.

Yelp
Some of the best tacos you could ever get, hands down! They load up the tacos with so much meat, unlike others that skimp you out

Robert R.

Yelp
Someone need to get back to me on IG DM regarding a zelle double payment. This is bullshit that no one responds to me.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Angel's Tijuana Tacos for a long time, but I never wanted to make a drive out to all the far locations from me. When I found out they had a location in the Westside of Long Beach, I had to check it out. This spot is located in the front corner of Big Savers on Willow. My husband and I ordered 4 Al Pastor con Pina Tacos, 1 Asada Vampiro, and 1 Asada Queso Taco. Unfortunately, two of our Al Pastor tacos were uncooked, and the other two were over cooked to where the meat was dry and all you could taste is the charred flavor. So definitely double check your Al Pastor meat! I was so hungry, I didn't even check my first one. As for our asada items, the meat was over-salted. I would suggest not ordering the asada with any queso type items because it'll taste salty. They definitely don't skimp out on the meat. They put the salsas on for you. The tortillas are made fresh, but they were alright. The rice and beans were just okay too. I asked what time they open, and they said 5pm but not sure until how late and what days they're not there. Service was quick and friendly. I'm sad that my first time experience was disappointing. I think because this location is new, it's probably still working out some kinks. Maybe I'll try out their other OG locations for next time..

Rita M.

Yelp
Great food & service. Highly recommend. Clearly hard working people with talent for making good food, generous portions and offering hospitality.

Ari B.

Yelp
Meats were salty, the guy making the tacos was rude, he got upset after I asked if he had cilantro without the onions, he said yes then proceeded to give me a mix. Food was cheap though.

Kevita W.

Yelp
Food was terrible and all I got was one carne asada taco. Did not like the corn tortilla shell. But they do offer keto tacos and baked potatoes. Perhaps IF I try them again. I may do the baked potato instead.

Yelp
One of my coworkers let me know about Angel's Tijuana Tacos and I stopped by after work on a Friday evening. My girlfriend and I had the opportunity to try their Al Pastor queso tacos and Carne Asada Burrito. These were some of the best tacos and burritos that I've ever had! They had a line when I got there but they moved through it pretty quickly. They were so good we came back on Sunday for another round. Would highly recommend it! They post their hours & locations on their Instagram account each day so be on the lookout for that!

Chuck T.

Yelp
This place is the only place I go for street tacos. Best street meat in LA hands down.

Fernando V.

Yelp
For 350k followers I expected a little better. Standard taco stand with ok al pastor. Leo's in LA far better. Also the tortillas made from hand weren't very good. Just because it's by hand doesn't exactly mean better. Cheers
