Popular LA Street Taco Stand Angel’s Tijuana Tacos Just Opened Its First Permanent Location in Anaheim | Eater LA

"One of Los Angeles’s most popular street taco stands has opened its first permanent location in Anaheim, California. Taquero Angel, who uses only his first name publicly, opened the first location outside of John’s Market in North Hollywood in 2018 and has since expanded with locations in Van Nuys, Echo Park, Glassell Park, and more. L.A. Taco first reported news of the opening, which Angel’s shared on Instagram on April 8; the Anaheim location is already open and serving customers and will be celebrated with a grand opening on April 12 where it will serve $1.50 tacos, free churros, and aguas frescas. One of the busiest outposts has been the Echo Park stand on Sunset Boulevard, just down the road from Dodger Stadium — on game night “the line stretches down the block with a mob of guests hungry for al pastor shaved off a flame-kissed trompointo waiting tortillas.” The stands offer cheese-grilled quesatacos, mulitas, burritos, and vampiros, all packed with the diner’s choice of protein — pollo, asada, cabeza, and chorizo — and a salsa bar with salsa verde, cilantro, onions, and more. The Anaheim storefront will feature all the classics from the stands plus gringas tacos with al pastor, ham, and pineapple; alambre; and Mexican beers to wash it down. Located just a few miles from Disneyland and open until midnight every day, it’s positioned as an easy, affordable, and late-night dining option for the neighborhood." - Rebecca Roland

The Best Restaurants in Echo Park | Eater LA

"Look for the row of string lights along Sunset Boulevard to find Angel’s Tijuana Tacos, which sets up in Echo Park every day except for Monday. On the menu find tacos, burritos, vampiros, and more with the options of asada, pollo, chorizo, al pastor, or cabeza. Open from 4:30 p.m. until midnight, it’s a great late-night spot to check out, but be aware that lines can get long around Dodgers games." - Rebecca Roland

LA’s 10 Best Tijuana-Style Taco Spots | Eater LA

"Angel’s Tijuana Tacos is actually run by the same team as Tacos El Venado, though they tend to focus on different neighborhoods. The new-ish Eagle Rock location rocks from dusk until late night, often playing to very long lines." - Farley Elliott

I love tacos when the tortillas are freshly made. This spot was good. Our friends brought here, our drive is 45 minutes. It was worth the drive. Tortillas were delicious, the tacos are very hefty, they're not stingy with their meats at all, The only thing, as I read on other people's reviews here, it would be nice if we could serve the salsas our selves. And yes we felt rushed as well, but I guess the demand is high and there was a big line. I will definitely come back again.

I love their burritos its so great the flavor is amazing huge portions its definitely worth it. Don't skip out of anything from this place everything is always made just right. Don't forget the tacos you won't regret it. Love this place.

Google
The best carne asada in all of CA.Tacos are always the bomb here, packed full of meat, both salsas and guacamole salsa. The mulitas are fire!!! The vampiros (cheese hard shell taco) is awesome. The carne is always cooked on a charcoal bbq grill giving it that unique flavor!! Been there many times and never been disappointed ever with the service or food!!

Oh boy, I don't like doing negative reviews, but this one is important. We went here on a Sunday night around 830pm. It was super busy, like so busy the line was down the block. We took this to be a good sign, thinking it meant 1) obviously the food is bomb - look at how many people are willing to wait for it, and 2) the food will be fresh. We do not mind waiting so long as it is worth the wait. While in line, some guy came and cut the line in front of a young family. There were words exchanged, and the guy who cut the line ended up spitting on dad from the young family. Angel's Tijuana refused to serve the guy who cut the line and spat, so that was really good, but it just created an atmosphere of tension. After about 30 minutes in the lineup, my husband went to order the food. We were super excited about the fresh tortillas being made, but we noticed there were not many options for condiments. Other taco stands offer grilled jalapeños and grilled onions and sauces that can be poured into separate cups. Here, they were in such a rush that they were just throwing stuff onto the plates. The al pastor meat wasn't getting enough time between customers to cook properly. The chicken was precooked and served out of a pan. And the thing that ruined it for us was the sauce being poured on by the stand people. They absolutely doused our tacos in sauce. By the time my husband paid and we brought them to the car to eat (literally a 1 minute walk), all the tacos were soaked. Soggy to a point of disgust. It was a waste of our money because we ended up throwing more than half our food out. Will not be going back. Not worth the wait, not worth it the trip at all. This place has the potential, if they just focus on QUALITY rather than QUANTITY.

Tacos are the best here, tortillas handmade fresh and the baked potato’s are just as great! The customer service here is the best they are the sweetest plus they offer all payments be it cash, card, Zelle. Super convenient I recommend them to anyone who is looking for their next Mexican food spot!

Google
Hands down the BEST al pastor in LA!!!! Don't be deterred by the long lines, they move quickly and the tacos are huge! I have a healthy appetite and 3 tacos fills me up. I've only had the pastor tacos and have no inclination to try anything else. $2.50 a taco 🤤🤤🤤🤤

Google
I got 5 queso tacos with 3 being al pastor, and 2 cabeza. Onions and cilantro mandatory on all of them, first up were the al pastor tacos, juicy, sweet and savory, genuinely my favorite protein for a taco. Moving on, I also tried the cabeza tacos which had a hearty beef flavor since it’s from the head of the cow. Overall, the meat was juicy, fresh, and the I 100% can vouch for the food here

It was on the news that this taco stand may be part of a large company that operates in some cities in Southern California. This company seems to be taking advantage of the flexibility from the state to allow small street vendors. Another taco shop with a very similar name and that seems to be part of the same company was already removed from the streets in Anaheim, CA. Also, this business has NO regard for our community at all. How is this allowed? The sidewalk looks worst than one from a third world county. They should at least try to follow some of the regulations from the Los Angeles County Health Department, Sanitation, Bureau of Street Services, Public Works, ADA requirements, etc… Even the most basic requirements from any applicable department are ignored here. They seems to dump oil and ashes and/or charcoal onto the street. Take a look at the shrubs/landscape along the sidewalk. All the plans look black and burnt.

Yelp
We adore Angel's tacos. For the longest time we never knew what everyone was lining up for outside the post office. One day we got adventurous and joined them and are so glad that we did. This is a very large street food stand. So affordable and you get a ton for your money. Everyone we've dealt with has been incredibly nice and welcoming. We've had a bunch of different tacos, but I gravitate now towards the baked potatoes. They are massive and last several meals. My husband loves the quesadillas. Whatever we get, the standout meat is always the Al pastor. It's their specialty and is roasted and shaved off in front of you. Mouthwatering. Food can either be eaten there (there's usually a small table section set up or taken to go. There's plenty of street parking or the post office lot once they're closed. The stand is usually open pretty late which is super helpful! Thank you for being a neighborhood mainstay!

Yelp
Extremely disappointed with this location. The service here is absolutely terrible!!! The staff are rude to nearly every customer, treating people with disrespect instead of appreciation. They act condescending, overcharge based on appearance, and even make insulting remarks in Spanish when they think you don't understand. Asking for order details or sides feels like a burden to them. This team seriously needs to rethink how they treat customers because it only takes one bad experience to lose business--especially nowadays. Avoid this place if you value good service.

Yelp
Parking shouldn't be an issue as there is a lot behind them you can quickly use. Outdoor seating but great for take out at this fast and fresh Mexican street food spot. Staff is nice. Pricing and portions are as expected but in the form of cash or Zelle. Food is solid as are the options. They make their own corn tortillas on the spot. You can add salsas as well as guacamole with no added fees. They also have a self serve bar for condiments like lemons, pickled onions, radishes, cucumbers, etc but no salsas. What makes this place different than the rest is the yummy char you taste from the grilled meats. 4.5 starts that I will round down as I am very picky and stingy when it comes to a full 5 star rating and this place is close but not quite there. Would go back again

Yelp
Angel's started getting popular with multiple locations all over LA in the past few years. I have always loved Avenue 26, but I think I have been converted to Angel's now. I came on an early weeknight, so there was no line at all. We got 4 tacos ($2.75 each): al pastor (marinated pork), cabeza (pig head), chorizo (pork sausage), and asada (beef). They really pack on the meat and sauces for you. Plus, you also get more condiments at the self serve bar too. To wash everything down, we also got an Agua Fresca ($6), which was nice and refreshing. The tacos are filling and messy, but so damn delicious. I honestly wish I ordered more, but had to stop myself. BELIEVE THE HYPE. These are some of the best tacos in LA.

Yelp
The food is still great, but lately, the portions have been getting smaller while prices have increased. I could understand a price hike if the portions stayed the same, but now it feels like the cost is increasing and the servings are decreasing.

Yelp
Totally forgot to take a photo, but for my own reference, here's my recap of the food: -al pastor: we got 3 tacos al pastor, and these were solid. One was a bit burnt, but the meat was tasty. My partner thought it was great! -pollo: we got one of these tacos, and I kind of liked this one the best! It was juicy and flavorful, which made it my favorite. -carne asada: it was ok, but not something we'd go for over the others. -cabeza: we got 2 of these tacos, and while it was tasty, there were a lot of fatty bits that were just a little too much for us. For those who like more fatty bits of meat, this might actually be preferable. In terms of the ordering experience, this was what we experienced: 1. Let the ladies making the tortillas know how many tacos/burritos you'll be getting, and-how many will have cheese - they're making the tortillas on the spot. It's not to order, it's so they can prep the tortillas. 2. Order with the next person, who is putting together the tacos/burritos/etc. Salsas are also directly put onto each taco/burrito/etc. here, so prepare to let them know if you want the avocado salsa, salsa verde, and/or salsa roja. 3. Pay at the next table after getting your food. 4. Grab baggies and fill them with pickled onions/jalapenos/etc., sliced radishes, grilled onions/jalapenos, and sliced limes. Parking is easy, since a lot is right behind it. There's some seating/tables here as well, though we opted to eat at home. Given that the salsas are already on top of each taco, sooner is probably better in terms of digging in. Overall, we would definitely come back for the pollo and al pastor tacos. We noticed them making a super meat-stuffed burrito though, which we might want next time.

Yelp
Too many roadside Taquerias to try but I did get lucky and hit one on Sherman Way west of the 405 freeway in front of the Post Office and across the street from Taco Bell (of all places ). They are fast so the line is usually pretty short. I had driven by a couple of times and noticed that they roasted the Al Pastor meat and pineapple on an upright rotisserie so I pull over on one or my trips. I noticed they are usually there at night. I got 10 of the Al Pastor tacos for the family. The meat is shaved off of the spit heated with a slice of warm pineapple on a handmade and freshly cooked tortilla with onions, cilantro, your choice of salsa and guacamole. Loved the freshness of everything especially the homemade off the griddle tortilla. The meat had good flavor and the blend of the meat, veggies and sauces delivered a pretty good taco. I plan to go again and try a Vampiro in addition to some tacos. They also have quesadillas and other items. I added a picture of the menu. If you see the Angels Taco Booth, stop by for some pretty good Al Pastor tacos or some of the other meats.

Yelp
Cheap eats and set up just like any average LA street taco place but the discriminating factor was that the Al pastor was actually super juicy and they gave you a good amount for the price! I always feel like tacos never give as much meat but this place changed my mind. No wonder they have so many locations. The lemonade was bomb too

Yelp
I've been to many angel Tijuana tacos locations, like the one in Culver City, Downtown by the Dodgers stadium, and even to one in Chatsworth. But this location by far has been the worst !!!! Don't get me wrong, the food is good but the service here, and simply presentation and what they have to offer isn't worth it! And I also have a big issue with the price; I deadass feel robbed. No joke!!! I walked away in disbelief. To all the locations I've been the tortas have always been $10, quesadillas $10, and tacos $2.50. Tonight I got 1 torta, 1 quesadilla, and 6 tacos! Tell me why was my balance $38.50 I don't mind paying but damn I've never paid more than 35! And it's a TUESDAYYYY. Couldn't even give me no grilled onion, nor guacamole on the side, or onion's and cilantro. They had nothing at the self serve condiment section but rábanos, rancid pickled onions, and limes. I asked the lady if I could get everything in the side like guac, onions, and cilantro; she deadass said she wasn't allowed!!!! Never ever has this been an issue. Getting home I couldn't even enjoy my food. Waste of money and time!!! I hate this location

Yelp
My husband and I came here to have some delicious tacos. The tortillas are handmade and taste amazing. I ordered the Al pastor tacos and my husband ordered the Al pastor burrito. They loaded up our tacos and burrito with meat and the flavor was fantastic. Everyone was very nice. The stand is located next to parking lot of the post office.

Yelp
Their Al pastor is good, love the TJ style with cheese and guac. But from the times I've been there they're so rude. If you ask them to add something to your food they make faces! Also you literally need to know what you want you can't ask questions because these guys are working hella fast and make you feel so rushed

Yelp
Worst ppl ever , I came to sell something next to the north Hollywood location , and right away one of the workers she came to me very rude asking what I'm seelling I said drinks why???

Yelp
The food is really good, tortillas made fresh and everyone is very nice and helpful! Just a heads up it's cash only but they do take Zelle!

Yelp
This is by far one of the best street vendors I've ever been to. I ordered a queso burrito and some tacos and they were fantastic. This spot always has people ordering and it's easy to see why. Fresh ingredients and perfectly seasoned meats. Nothing was greasy or super salty like other spots I've been to. Stop by and you'll see what the hype's about!
google avatar

Yelp
We've been wanting to try Angel's for the longest time. Day after day, we always pass by the corner and see the lines of people. We had to try it, so we went for a Taco Tuesday. The parking lot is ample so don't stress over finding a spot. The wait was long due to the crowd, but that's to be expected at any popular taco stand. We ordered two tacos (carne asada and al pastor) and an asada burrito. At other places, the spice gets to me so much that I can hardly ever finish my burrito. Here, the spiciness just isn't there so I was able to finish mine (bit disappointing actually). The meats are ok but they're missing something I can't put my finger on. Overall it's decent, but in the land of taco stands on most every corner, there are tastier places to try that are cheaper as well. Still, I liked that they made their own tortillas.
google avatar

May T.

Yelp
3 star for the food. Their tacos are 2.75 each it. That's okay. But their service sucks for a few reason, they give you Only meat unless you ask for the onions and cilantro. They also put salsa on top of the meat right away. That's is fine if you are eating right away. But taking home this will get soggy and gross. They don't care and when you ask salsa on the side, they give you a smirk look and don't bother to understand what you are asking for. Taco was good but Not okay when they Only give you meat on tortilla and attitude!!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is the BEST.! Love these people & their Amazing Food. It's a must try for amazing Mexican/Tijuana Tacos. If there is a Heaven, it's something like Angel's
google avatar

Dave G.

Yelp
Holy. Shit. I'm a proud Texan and in Texas we know tacos. I've argued for years with friends from Cali about how they don't have anything on us when it comes to tacos, but im gonna have to be done with that. These are the best tacos I've ever had. Nothing in Tx even comes close. Horchata was excellent too. I got 3 quesotacos and three regular. Both are great but imo the Al Pastor blew the Asada away. Not bc the Asada wasn't flavorful, the Al Pastor was just next level.
google avatar

Yelp
So far I have tried three Angel's Tijuana Tacos stands and they have one thing in common -- huge portions, no flavor or seasoning. These taco stands are consistently busy with long lines at their locations in North Hollywood, Sylmar, and Van Nuys. I really don't understand the popularity. Perhaps it is popular because you will get a loaded taco for only $2.50 and that is their main draw. The friendliness and good service is also noticeable of the team at this location. I guess some people are less pickier or critical than me when it comes to tacos? Their tortillas are freshly made, but it does not make up for the lack of flavor in their tacos. Head to Angel's Tijuana Tacos if you want massive portions and don't care much of taste or flavor. These tacos are the messiest tacos I have ever had because they overload your tacos with meat. I heard the loaded baked potato is a must try, but at $15, I don't think it's worth the try. Two tacos are very filling and at only $5 for 2 tacos, this is probably one the most affordable dinners you can have these days. It's even cheaper and most likely healthier than any fast food chain restaurant including Taco Bell, especially because these tacos are not packed with sodium. -- Taco recommendations: If you want flavorful asada and cabeza tacos, head to Taqueria Mi Ranchito in Sylmar. For my favorite al pastor tacos with pineapple, head to Tacos Tamix or get the adobada tacos at Tacos Don Cuco in East LA. For Tijuana-style asada tacos in the Valley, head to nearby Tacos el Tijuanense or try the perron tacos at Tacos 1986 in Studio City. You're welcome.

Yelp
Food was very good but the customer service was very poor. The ladies making tortillas were laughing and being disrespectful to my stepmom who doesn't speak Spanish. The ladies didn't know that I knew Spanish so I could understand everything they were saying about my family and then they were talking about us to the guys which caused the guys to laugh and be rude to my family. I don't understand why they thought it was okay to be so rude to paying customers! Probably wont come back here.
google avatar

Yesenia R.

Yelp
Food is great . But I do have three things that I wasn't happy with . One, there was flies on the tortilla dough . Second, one of the ladies that was making the tortillas was very rude when we asked for our tortillas to be just a little more cooked . She there's a policy of tortillas that doesn't allow that . I tried to look up what policy what she talking about. I didn't mind if I had to pay a little extra but her attitude was really bad. Especially the way she responded. Although the guy that was adding stuff to our tacos asked her to cook the tortillas a little more . Third , the girl that charges ! Okay she was rude . She said she wouldn't charge me my food if I didn't have 42 cents . I've gone to angels tacos since they started but I don't understand why the ladies are rude .

Yelp
These days, everyone's uncle, autie and their unemployed or underemployed(Uber, Lyft, Doordash) sons or daughter open up an illegal taco(they take cash only) stand on the streets with all the heavy metal dust in the air, mice on the street and people talking over the food that throws people's saliva into the condiments on the table. I'm Italian-American so I like street food. But not this place. Taco are $3.25 a piece and if they're juicy and good, I wouldn't mind.. but the meat was dry, cheap Food 4 Less meat or something where there was no juice and flavor. The guac was watered down and store bought with artifical coloring that made my stomach squirm. There was no talent or special when they are charging $3.25 per taco. One doesn't even have to try their other stuff when their basic taco was so bad.. I've had Oaxacan tacos that were better than this. And this is not how tacos in Tijuana taste either. Over subpar, not even average. And then to top it off, the cashier lady tries to charge you like 5 dollars more to try to see if you will fall for it.. she said like did you get the tacos with cheese? Huh? I thought it was a joke so I said, no I got it with the fries.. lol.. and they wanted $18 for 4 beef tacos.. I had to show her my calculator showing that it was only $13.. this review is after I had all 4 tacos and it was way below average and positively a 3rd world experience.. what is happening to Los Angeles?

Yelp
So Today I'm driving a uhaul truck to bring a couch to my house and all of a sudden a smell went into my truck and realized my mouth was already drooling (I had just drive. By a taco stand) After getting home and setting up my couch I still could not stop thinking about that taco stand so I told my girl we need some tacos. I ordered for Al Pastor tacos on homemade corn tortillas, No they didn't say they were homemade they were pressing them right in front of me . I got home and after one bite I was hooked! Best MF taco I've ever had! No joke, No exaggeration, I've had my share and probably my families share of tacos, But seriously nothing like this one. So I'm now calling and posting on social media how great this taco spot is and I stumble on their yelp and see that they have Loaded Baked potato's!. Sooo obviously back in the car and back to the taco spot and get that loaded amazing, Sexy, Cheesy, Meaty(Oh it's meaty AF) die happy Baked loaded potato. I can prove that I was there twice in one day because the pictures will show that. I really hope the owners see this comment because every word of it is true, They did such an amazing job. You can see everything is clean, Employees are friendly and they deserve to have a line a mile long. But I'm sure you think I'm full of it and will pass on this and go to the next place( That's fine with me, I don't want them to runout before I get there)

Yelp
I was introduced to tacos/burritos as a kid. The real OG spots EL TAURINO and KING TACO were brother companies and both of them were less than a mile away from me! We were the only non-Hispanic customers at that time since Yelp wasn't around and nobody in their right minds would venture to certain areas just for food (unlike these days). Since then, I compared every taco truck/location to El Taurino and was unfairly biased (although I usually only got burritos there). I've tried at least 50 taco spots in my lifetime - and the 5 or so places I tried in the Valley were very disappointing. I mean it's not like the ingredients are different in different areas... but since then, I've overlooked every taco spot regardless of Yelp ratings if it was in the Valley. I'd make the drive to El Taurino, King Taco, Leo's, 8th and Ardmore, 3rd and Serrano, the two trucks right off the Western Ave 101 exit, etc for my fix thinking there would be no comparable spots outside of LA. I decided I'd try again - Angel's Tijuana Tacos, Tacos El Venado, a birria spot, and couple others I forget the name of. Angel's Tijuana Tacos has been on my top 3 list since the first time I tried it way back then. I have a personal checklist for taco spots (EXCEPT for El Taurino/King Taco - their BURRITOS are top tier flavor BUT skip the bunk 1 bite size tacos). First thing that's an absolute must is the pastor on a spit/trompa. The second thing I always looked for were handmade tortillas (this was very very rare). The 3rd thing was that the sauces can't be that generic watery flavorless stuff from a can. Very rarely did a spot check all 3 things off the list, and if it did, I was a regular just like I am now at Angel's. Locations are always consistent, meat is always good quality/cooked perfectly, tortillas made by the señoras never rip, heavy handed scoops with the meat, great service. Their Asada is NEVER gritty or chopped to tiny pieces to hide the quality like a lot of places tend to do. Their PASTOR is top tier, classic on the spit (with a pineapple on the top) that they cut onto your tortilla - the slightly charred bits are FIRE. Neither of the meats ever had a gamey taste, smell, or any sign of low grade meat. One of their $2.50 tacos is equivalent to 2.5 tacos from most trucks - I eat 2 and I'm good, eat 3 and I'm FULL. They have non generic green and red sauces that are actually spicy, and their signature guac sauce (that they ran out of on this visit where I took a picture smh), radish slices, long red onions, lime slices, (and grilled onions/peppers IF you're there at the right time). NOTE: NO SELF SERVICE FOR THEIR RAW ONIONS OR SAUCES Only bad thing about this location is the line which can take up to 20 minutes, and there's almost always a line. Luckily the USPS parking lot is huge so you won't have trouble finding parking - unlike the other spot in NoHo where you have to sometimes sideways double park on the street. Just take my word and try them out, you won't regret it!

Yelp
Well, sometimes you run into an oasis, a mouth-watering experience that leaves you satisfied until you sink your teeth into authentic, made-from-scratch tacos. The real deal Holyfield. Set up on the sidewalk next to a plentiful parking lot, Angel's Tijuana Tacos brings the heat! Asada grilled over mesquite. Al pastor sliced right onto your taco. The tacos are made on sight, by hand, as you order. $2 for the tacos is a deal; they're packed! $3 if you want cheese on there too. The quesadillas and burritos are designed to satisfy NFL linemen. This place is HOT!

Yelp
Right off of Sherman way..... I've been to the one in North Hollywood but I live closer to this location now. Skeptical at first, but man did they deliver. These tacos are so good, had asada and al pastor. The asada is real asada, over charcoal. And gotta love them tortillas. They are stingy on the guac, which I hate but everything not stingy on everything else, whic is solid. You want be disappointed thats for sure. Wife and I weren't. So give them a try...... Just know you'll be waiting in line for a bit, but it's definitely worth it Happy tacoing!

Yelp
Food is great here. But last three times I've come here the first and last lady have very poor customer service. Rude and disrespectful. She was bagging other peoples food while I waited for her to give me a bag after I have paid. And I had to ask for a bag??? But you ask everyone else. Def might consider getting my burrito elsewhere next time I want one.

Yelp
I've been to this location Sherman way in van nuys a bunch of times and their tacos are consistent. Same flavor and packed tacos. They grill the meats in charcoal no metal top. The asada has more flavor than the cabeza tacos but still very good and packed with hand made tortillas (corn) per order. I've tried their chicken burrito/asada w/everything real good. I'm def returning here for my tacos.

Yelp
Mixed feelings about my visit here. Ordered the vampiro de asada which was delicious and no complaints (mainly the reason I'm giving 4 stars) Quesadilla de asada- wasn't feeling this, took 2 bites and disliked it so unfortunately it was a waste. Had a weird after taste. Papa: Baked potato was delicious and the pastor was flavorful and delicious. Could've used more tortillas and some butter and crema

Yelp
*screaming to the sky* FINALLY! HOMEMADE TORTILLAS! Why is it so hard to find this in LA???? If it ain't made in house, it ain't good enough. The taste and proper texture of the tortilla is part of the taco/ burrito eating experience, not just a vehicle for the fillings. I ordered 5 tacos, 1 type of meat each (al pastor, Carne Asada, chicken, chorizo, cabeza). Besides the chicken being a little dry, everything else was GREAT. Very flavorful and amazing texture. I really tasted the char and smoke that most places just don't have. Nothing was weirdly grainy like other taco places. They also give you massive portions of meat per taco, which may be a bad thing cuz they don't double wrap their tacos. Ill ask them to do it next time. My fave were the al pastor and cabeza. Oh and a word of warning: the spiciness does build up slowly. It can get intense after like 3 tacos. The horchata was also above average. Most other ones taste like red hots, but theirs taste like normal cinnamon and rice. The service was fast and friendly. I have trouble hearing sometimes and the servers were very patient with me by repeating the questions multiple times without any hint of impatience, which i totally appreciate. One negative, which i see in all LA taco places is that they put the same toppings on every taco. Same salsa, same guac. Each meat is supposed to be complimented by its own mixture of toppings and different kinds of salsa. This makes the flavor of each taco seem more one-note. Verdict: absolutely coming back again!

Yelp
Best tacos in Los Angeles! Get the vampiro! You won't be disappointed. Friday night at 8 is a long wait! Totally worth it.....

Yelp
Place surprised the heck out of me. About 200 people from Pepperdine crashed the scence. I had to check the hype and was blown away!! wow!!

Yelp
We were excited to get this tacos and burritos coz it's good, but to my disappointment when we were in line, the ladies who were preparing the tortillas were giving us funny looks as they heard us trying to talk to them in Spanish, well atleast we were trying to make it easier for them, but they should not give those smirks and give attitude (like tossing the tortilla after making it and look at me like saying to my face, this is what you get) nah uh! no bueno, just because we are not Spanish speakers. They should always understand that whoever comes in line that those people are there want to get a good meal, be treated with kindness, they should be grateful that people patronize their food and not expect that just because you look Spanish that you speak it, hello we are in America, we try to learn Spanish, so they should try to learn to speak English too.

Yelp
The food was good. The people working the stand were friendly. Very tasty guacamole and meat. I would go again.

Yelp
HORRIBLE SERVICE !! The 3 ladies and 2 men were mocking me and my family because we didn't know Spanish and the one of the lady's didn't understand me make another cheese tortilla which she made it and threw my cheese tortilla in front of me and my kids and chuckled loud with mocking speaking Spanish to her co worker!! Even the guy that wears the black mask that's cut the Al Pastor was laughing and speaking Spanish mocking me and my family , my wife and kids are Asian and that's not nice at all!!! I want to speak to the owner one day to report his workers that he should teach how to RESPECT people that are buying their food!!! Food is great but horrible customer service !! They get a negative zero from me and my family ! I won't ever come back here again , they lost my business !!!

Yelp
I was pretty stoked to get here, to be let down. It is right off the freeway. Not a big line at all think because it was raining that weekend. There's parking on the side , have a good menu just the meat was burnt didn't taste good or have any flavor. I mean I had better tacos locally, only thing I like Is how they make everything super big with a lot of meat. The strawberry horchata was good also, just the food didn't hit the spot. They Have an open salsa bar and alot of cucumbers and radishes to take. It is pricey I think it is due to the amount of food they give you. I just wish it had flavor the meat and not burnt it would raise the rating significantly. Customer service was great also.

Yelp
Love their food but the only thing they're missing is a salsa stand to get as much salsa as you want. I come here a few times a month and they always give me a hard time/dirty looks every time I ask for more guacamole salsa. Maybe it's because I ask for all salsas in my burrito but still.. their prices are good but they are quite stingy with their salsa which brings my review down to 4 stars.

Yelp
First time going here today. i was so hyped from watching social media food reviewers eat here but unfortunately i was disappointed in the service & the food. My husband felt as if they didn't want to service him because of how rude the chef was being to him. Not welcoming at all. The main chef was bothered to give my husband sauces that he was asking for. just very nasty attitude. The food is very mid. For me the meats were extremely salty & not flavorful at all. The sauces were not spicy which was unfortunate. i will not be coming here again. Leo's taco truck will always be my go to spot.

Yelp
These are the best tacos in LA. Hands down. The price is steep, but totally worth it. They give you so much meat. I can hork down five or six tacos, but I max out around 3 (and that's when I'm really really hungry) at Angel's. I'm a big fan of the al pastor because they give you a nice little slice of pineapple, but the cabeza is also incredibly tender and good. Definitely check this place out: it's worth the drive!!

Yelp
These tacos are authentic and full of flavor! The tortillas are made on the spot and my favorite are the Tacos Al Pastor (Marinated Pork) ... So delicious and loaded with meat. The red sauce is On Point with the level of flavor and spiciness. Besides Al Pastor, you can also order steak asada or chicken. The line gets long. And be prepared to pay with CASH or VENMO only.

Yelp
There's always a loooong line whenever I drive by so my fiancé and I had to try it out. Thankfully we came before the dinner rush and there was no wait. They have several items on their menu and I appreciate that they have chicken as I don't eat any red meat. We ordered a chicken burrito and chicken tacos. Unfortunately, the chicken was too salty/over seasoned. It was actually a bit hard to eat because of that so we had to drench it in lime or finish it off with a bunch of radishes or cucumbers. The chicken is extremely shredded into very thin pieces and I wish they were thicker cuts. The burrito tasted better and I'm assuming it's because it has beans and rice to mask the the saltiness a bit. If we do ever come back, I told my fiancé to try their beef or pork. I still enjoyed their salsa and condiments bar. What's even better is that they hand make their tortillas which I always love! Maybe I'll have better luck with their chicken next time.

Yelp
Wow! It was my first time here and I was not disappointed at all. We ordered their pastor, asada, and chicken, and asada mulita with all of their salsas and guacamole and omg the best tacos I've ever had in my life! There prices were reasonable, service was great and friendly. I will definitely be back, this is my new favorite taco spot!

Yelp
This place is all hype. The photos/videos on social media make the food look so delicious..... but it's really not that great. We have had way better (and cheaper) street tacos than this. Don't stand in their long lines. You will be disappointed. We liked that the tortillas are hand made right in front of you. But the meats and the overload of toppings just kill it. The tacos end up being mushy and lack flavor. Their set up is not my favorite. There are different ordering stations. We ordered asada tacos at the "first station" and received them right away. But we then had to wait to order al pastor tacos at the next station, and our asada tacos were getting cold on the open plate. There is only room to form ONE line, so you really have to wait in the same line if you want another type of meat. We weren't going to be eating our asada tacos while waiting to order the next meat. This setup just makes no sense. They should really have people order everything they'd like up front and wait for everything to be given to them on the other side. They move very slow too (makes sense why there is a long line). Don't believe what you see on social media. And sometimes, really long lines don't necessarily mean that the place is good. We will not be returning. We will stick to our other favorite and delicious street taco spots.

Yelp
Tacos are and this is the best Angel's Tacos location because the lines are shorter, and the staff is nicer and more organized at this location, especially compared to the Sylmar spot. This is all you need to know: the tortillas are handmade; the al pastor is crispy, charred and full of flavor; and the asada has a traditional Mexican mesquite charcoal flavor. Best tacos in town.

Yelp
literally some of the best tacos in LA I'm honestly pretty obsessed with this franchise of street tacos! Not to mention the horchata???? BRUH, please just know their horchata is on point! Big fan of this street taco, been to three of their locations and they never switch up. Always hook it up fat with their tacos or burritos 100/10 would go again and will always bring friends

Yelp
Yeeeees!! Yeeees!! Yessss!! Fresh handmade tortillas, fresh al pastor (they literally cut it in front of you!), carne asada is fireeee. Okay so this is in the corner of sherman way and Woodley by the post office. Food: carne asada, mulitas, alpastor!! You cannot go wrong! Sooo good. Their tortillas is made fressssh! It's handmade!! It comes with guacamole, salsa (red sauce is really spicy soo worth it). I just came back from sayulita and honestly this reminds me of Mexico (don't come at me ahahaha it's my own experience) Price: for the taste and authenticity it's fair Come early because the line can get long... The staff are all so friendly and sweet and you can tell they love what they do. Soo TIP THEM WELL PEOPLE. These are some hardworking men and women!!

Yelp
They were good but not worth the hype I liked them but I don't know if I would be here again
