Angeum

"The story of Vietnamese food in Ayutthaya started over 150 years ago with the Vietnamese community in Bang Sai District. It continues at this modern two-floor restaurant smartly decorated with wooden walls, colourful paintings and a stylish bar. The menu may be short but it’s packed with authentic Vietnamese dishes. The skilled chef prepares everything using fresh quality ingredients. The signature dish, Nem Nuong is a delight to assemble and eat." - Michelin Inspector

I recently visited Angeum Vietnamese Restaurant, a Michelin-recognized gem, and it was outstanding. The restaurant’s decor is beautiful, capturing the essence of Vietnam with an inviting, traditional touch. The highlight for me was the Pho Bo—rich, aromatic, and so delicious that I finished every drop! The Nem Nuong (grilled pork sausage) was another standout, full of flavor and an absolute must-try. The atmosphere, combined with attentive service, made the experience memorable. For anyone seeking authentic, Michelin-approved Vietnamese cuisine in a gorgeous setting, Angeum is a must-visit!

They say this is authentic Vietnamese food but it is far from authentic. Nearly all the dishes have soy sauce in them and at least when i was vietnam for 2 months they nearly never used soy. So if you have allergies or sensitivities to soy, wouldn't advise to come here. Also the food just didn't taste great. The rice paper rolls were pretty bad, the rice paper they use is too thick. The fried rice tasted bad, too much pineapple and frozen peas. Everything we ate felt like it was pre-packaged or frozen not fresh. As if everything was premade already. Another dish for example the pork was fatty and inedible. The coriander salad was more thai style than vietnamese. The egg vietnamese style pizza tasted gross and the chinese sausage tasted too sweet which overpowered the dish. I don't actually know how this is in the Michelin guide because nothing tasted fresh or great. Which vietnamese restaurant can't just give fish sauce as a dipping sauce? They really need to get an actual Vietnamese chef from Vietnam to revive this place. I wouldn't recommend it. The taste and freshness are severely lacking. Totally not worth the money.

This restaurant serves amazing Vietnam dishes especially Namnueng. Its tastes make you wonder why you don't come to this place sooner. I think the pineapple is the one ingredients that make its difference. Other dishes are also good. Service is quite nice. Food comes out fast even though we arrive at noon and all tables are full with customers. Recommend to reserve the table before you go especially on the holiday. The price is also reasonable call the portion of food. Highly recommend!

Anguem Vietnam Restaurant in Ayutthaya provided a memorable dining experience on a bustling Saturday night. Despite the full house, we were accommodated within a reasonable 10-minute wait, thanks to the attentive and efficient staff who managed everything seamlessly. The food at Anguem Vietnam was truly exceptional, living up to its reputation. Each dish was served quickly and piping hot, showcasing authentic Vietnamese flavors that were worth every baht spent. It's no surprise they've been recognized by the Michelin Guide consecutively since 2022, 2023, and 2024. From savory mains to delightful desserts, every bite was a testament to their culinary mastery. The restaurant also offers ample parking, adding convenience to the overall dining experience. For those planning to visit during prime hours, it's advisable to call ahead and make a reservation to ensure a table. In conclusion, Anguem Vietnam Restaurant exceeded expectations with its superb food quality, efficient service, and pleasant ambiance. Whether you're a fan of Vietnamese cuisine or looking to explore new flavors, Anguem Vietnam is a must-visit destination in Ayutthaya, promising a delightful culinary journey that satisfies both the palate and the soul.

Did not mean to follow Michelin’s Guide or anything, we just randomly searched online, and turned out to be a fantastics meal. The signature lemongrass with kumquat drinks was sooooo sooo good! So as the kumquat-Yuzu soda is a must! We love how traditional the Namnueng was, just like in Vietnam! (Never had one in Vietnam but I remember saw the rice paper wrap did not had to soak in the water like other Vietnamese place in Thailand). The betel leaves pork skewers was sooo yummy! And it is my favourite dish so far.

This is my second time in this vietnamese restaurant. It did not disappoint me at all. The food is really fresh and full of flavor. This is one of best Vietnamese restaurant in Ayuthaya. The service is also really good and timely. There are plenty of parking space behind the restaurant. The atmosphere is nice and quiet.
