Angry Chickz - Vacaville

I was in the mood for Dave's Hot Chicken so instead I chose to try Angry Chickz since it was closer to my location. When I walked I was greeted immediately. After I ordered there was a 15min wait for the food. The prices were comparable to industry standards. One thing I noticed was that during 30-45 mins I was there no one cleaned the tables once people left or before anyone sat down. The floor also was dirty by the drink dispenser. I ordered dine in but recieved my order as a to go order. The chicken could have been more crisper. The sauce was just okay but too saucy. Not the best but not the worst. I will try again to see how it is next visit.

My food was great. The butter rice was cooked perfectly and flavorful. The coleslaw was fresh, light, and tasty. The chicken was marinated beautifully, spicy, and cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed the meal and will be returning to try more options.

Tried this place for the first time. I got the #1 combo medium and the #2 combo mild so the family would try the chicken. The staff was friendly and the order was made pretty quick. The lady spelled my name wrong when I placed my order but I was paying attention to the number that were being called out. The medium heat was just right for me and I do not usually do spicy food. I liked the seasoning on the fries.

The chicken is very good. The food is quite spicy, yet I found it delicious. If you're looking for something spicy, come to Angry Chickz, although your tongue might sufer a bit from how hot the food is. I will be coming back when I am craving something spicy.

I decided to try one of each the hot, extra hot and the angry version. The regular hot was so hot that I literally was sweating and had snot running down my face. LOL the other two I didn't even attempt. $7 for a slider $4 for a side. And as you can see by the photo my coleslaw wasn't even filled up to the top of the container. Really not impressed. Very limited selection of foods. That was $35 worth of food in the first photo.

Ordered off of DoorDash I received it super fast. There is no way at all. It could’ve been fresh. I ordered mild. This is not mild. The pickles are dried up and the bread is so stale talk to Madison who claim she’s the store manager and told me I have to complain to DoorDash, I was calling just to let them know how horrible it is and that it’s going straight in the trash she was rude and dismissive and some serious attitude going on

No option for single sanwhiches its almost like you have to get a meal, and the portions are big the number one was enough for two, two sandwiches and fries . If you a big back and like to eat its perfect for you lol 😆.

I order DoorDash here all the time, sometimes they will do you right but this time they just put ketchup in with my order when I got extra sauce. This happens evey so often I realize that the food is either the best ever or poorly put together

Best fast food in Vacaviile. I love the different levels of heat you can pick. The portions are generous and the price is affordable. For all military you get an added bonus.

My husband had been craving Angry Chickz for almost two weeks straight, so while we were out car shopping, we were happy to find the Vacaville location. My brother and I decided to grab In-N-Out instead, but my husband really wanted to sit down and enjoy his meal at Angry Chickz. The staff ok with outside food, which was such a nice surprise and made the whole experience more relaxed. My husband went with the #3, no coleslaw. The chicken had that great Angry Chickz flavor we've come to love, but the fries could have been better--they needed a little more crunch and seasoning to stand out. Still, he was happy to finally satisfy his craving. If we're ever back in the area, we'd definitely stop by again. Hopefully next time, the fries will be a little crispier, but either way, it's a spot worth coming back to when we want that spicy chicken fix.

I've tried this place about 5x now and have to say food quality is definitely consistent. My first time trying this place was during their soft opening and the person corralling the line was kind of rude. So that was a bit of a turn off of wanting to come back. He chit chatted with EVERYONE in front of the line like they were old friends and then myself (at the end of the line) he barely spared a glance and told me to scoot over because the line went over to the side. RUDE. Anyways, went back to try more dishes and the chicken is quite tasty. It's juicy with tons of flair and the mix bowls of Mac and cheese with slaw and chicken and rice or fries is a combo that works well together. I like to get the medium or the little hot to get an extra kick. Note: There is inside dining but the bathrooms are an open concept so the smell can waft into the dining area. Did not like that whatsoever. Very off putting. However when it is packed inside, you cannot tell the difference.

Busy during high food times, but the chicken is still good. I wish they had more combinations and discounts, but for the most part in good service.

The food was great here! Both entrees we ordered came out hot & fresh. My husband definitely recommends the angry-mac (mild) - many layers of mac'n'cheese, chicken & French fries. I ordered the #1 sliders (medium) - I assumed they would be on the smaller side, but it was a full size tender on a regular bun that two people could each enjoy one. Now I get to take one home for later! As for the heat factor, the medium was perfect - a good spice but not too unbearable. The restaurant was clean, the employee was super nice & I thought it was convenient that they had sinks outside of the bathrooms so I could wash off my spicy hands!! I'll definitely be back again.

Ok, so usually I do not give places a second chance if the first visit was not it, but we did with this place!! I have to admit I have been back at least 5+ times and have enjoyed my hangry fix bowl with a side of fries every time!! The heat is always perfect! I have to apologize for not updating my help sooner! I thought I did to be honest! But yes, their bowls have never disappointed me since our 2nd visit on! One thing I do miss is they no longer have hi c fruit punch!?

I've had their chicken sliders several times as well as the angry fries - today I forgot to order the coleslaw on the side so that it's not so messy, but I love the flavors. I still can't get past the mild, but I should try to level up, which would be medium. I opted for the angry fries, to eliminate the extra carbs from the bread. And you can eat it all with a fork.

What came first, the Hot Chicks or the Angry Chicks? We are from the South Bay and my boys are devoted fans of Dave's Hot Chicken. For them, Raising Cane's is mid so they were open to trying a new spot. A quick Yelp search and we found Angry Chickz. The person at the register was nice, personable, and professional. My son had injured his ankle in a soccer match and was resting in the car, so they let me fill some dog poop bags with ice. The space inside was clean with lots of seating options. You can tell the team is well trained and cares about the space. My boys thought the special sauce was just like Dave's five in their books. We got a slider and tenders, both hot, plus fries. The boys say the hot here is much hotter than Dave's. They took their time eating it and had to rub some spice off the tender If you like hot, try the medium. The meat was moist and well cooked, but the coating wasn't as crispy as Dave's. The fries were good, but a notch below Dave's in terms of spice and crispiness. The logo... epic. Definitely getting a t-shirt!

Making our regular stop here at angry chicks. Employees are always welcoming and helpful and explain the different heat levels. The food is always good and you get to pick your heat level. Grandson got the angry mac & cheese, which is always good. I went with one slider and fries. The fries are usually good, but they seem to be off today so deducting one star.

Loved this chicken spot, the calm ambiance made it even better. Chicken was crispy, juicy, and the hot spice hit perfectly. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the interaction when I placed my order. When I asked for it hot, the worker immediately said, "No refunds." It felt a little unnecessary, who returns chicken? Still, great food and I'd come back.

Honestly, the chicken here is pretty average I feel like I've had better chicken elsewhere. It's a nice vibe inside the restaurant to sit and hangout with friends but it's definitely not the BEST. Not sure if I'll be back..

That's not a slider!!! This was our first time here. We order the 2 sliders combo and the slider and tender. They were not sliders... these were full sandwiches! The price of these combos are AMAZING! I was also impressed with the flavors. We ordered hot on all our chicken. The heat was perfect! The coleslaw in the sandwich made the spices pop! The staff were really nice too. Very helpful navigating the menu. Definitely our new chicken stop!

Honestly, this plate is alright. Not amazing, but not awful! Would I go back? Not on my own, but with friends? Sure why not. Angry Chickz is a quick growing chain specializing in Nashville Hot Chicken. They are known for bold flavors and loading up their dishes. Is this what I experienced? Eh, kinda. I got a to-go order and just got an Angry Mac bowl, something I always saw featured on Instagram. Looked really good! The staff were nice and my order was done relatively quick, which is definitely a plus. I drove about 10 minutes home, opened up the bowl, and was satisfied with how it looked (messier since I got it to-go of course, but not bad!). It was hefty and smelled good! Was excited and then I tasted it. Tasted like nothing with a hint of something. I got the "hot" level spiced chicken. The chicken itself was barely spicy, and was seasoned mediocrely to say the least. It lacked salt, which is shocking to say since I expecting this to be almost too salty knowing what was in it. The chicken was also dry. The Mac and cheese was not good. The noodles were overcooked and again, no flavor! My experience had me thinking I had covid with how little I could taste (no, I was not sick!). I think the saving grace for this dish was honestly the fries, sauce, and pickles! Just kinda disappointing overall. I have not returned since this visit, and I do not plan on doing so unless I get invited out and everyone wants to go here haha!

I came here for the first time about a month ago and had been curious about the food here for some time. Upon ordering, Marylee was very professional, helpful, and pleasant. I told her it was my first time and she responded with: "you'll be back" . And she was correct lol! I have been back once a week since! I like the #4 combo, medium spice with the butter rice and I sub slaw for Mac n cheese. All the food I've had there so far is so delicious and the service has been outstanding as well- Marylee has, by chance, been my cashier each time! I will keep coming back.

Love the chicken bowls and the rice is really good the seasoning is amazing Most of the staff are pleasant just like any other establishment you get them rude ones (just remind them their customer service skills SUCK) The TVs are a nice touch to the ambiance keeps you occupied while you wait.

Solidly good chicken. We pick Angry Chickz over Raising Cane any day! My husband and I can easily share a #1 which is two sliders (each is a full-sized chicken sandwich) and fries. I prefer no heat. Their food comes out piping hot and the chicken is incredibly juicy. I opted to get no bread on mine today and was served a delicious chicken tender with coleslaw and pickles on the side. It was really good. The cashier was very sweet, patient and efficient!! They work hard there. It is darn good chicken! The vibe is kind of a younger crowd. Like a college or high school kid hangout. We're old. We still loved it!! Would give it 5 stars but it is fast food and it isn't fine dining. They do everything right. It is still worth a visit. Lots of value for the money.

I came here to try something new! I tried their bowl with Mac, fries and cut up chicken in it, medium heat. I am sad to report I am not a fan of the habanero heat but that is just a personal preference?Maybe I will like the mild better? The Mac and cheese was really good and I liked their special sauce and fries. Service was very polite and prompt, I waited maybe 3 minutes for my food right before the noon lunch rush.

Staff are friendly and place was easy to find and clean. I got the combo #1 which is 2 hot chicken sliders and fries, medium heat. Medium heat is good if you like the spice but not the burn because the space definitely builds as you eat it. The coleslaw and pickles on the slider adds that classic delicious touch that helps tone down the heat but not the flavor. I recommend asking for your fries extra crispy because they were the perfect texture. The sliders are actual sized buns so you get a lot of food for $16. Definitely worth the price and will be back!

Food- pretty delicious. Very carb happy. Service- after the initial craze of the place, it's decent. Multiple open tables. Ambiance- COVID-safe (yea it's kinda over, kinda not) well-spaced dining room. Really very tasty food. Got the Angry Mac and was really surprised by the fries loaded underneath. Didn't get mild, but also didn't get the crazy angry hot level either. The "hot" was plenty hot for this white boy. Lil' pricey for what it is. Nothing too unexpected though. Everything costs more these days. The "Angry Chickz" sauce was not horribly angry/spicy. Reminded me more of a tartar sauce than a hot sauce. Will I return? Most likely. Kinda has gluten all over so maybe not so soon. Am I going to yearn to come back? Probably not. It's good...may create something like this at home and compare. The craze is over. First time here, I didn't even stop because there were so many folks, lining up in to the parking lot! Mac and cheese was decent chicken was good, not sure it's something I'd come back for. Maybe if I didn't want to cook it. Try it out if you're in a pinch and need some carbs and chicken while in Vacaville!

The food is good. The staff is extremely slow we've been waiting 30 minutes for our order. I realize it's not fast food but they're not busy at all.

Angry chickz is a place to eat a good piece of chicken with some sides, or in a bowl covered with mac-n-cheese. Prices are reasonable for the serving. It was pretty busy so expect to wait. There's no kid menu but one bowl could easily feed 3 kids or 2 adults. Portions are generous for the bowls. Careful with the HEAT. Although they have a spicy scale, the mild is not so mild. Some folks did complain that it was spicer than expected. Overall, a good option to just switch it up one day. For now, I'll need to try more of their menu before I can rate higher than 3/5.

Clean establishment, line went quickly for around lunch time 1pm, cashier was friendly. Chicken was a good size, moist, and not too spicy for me; I may try hot next time. Husband and I enjoyed the very crispy seasoned fries. They have self serve sauce which is nice as I needed extra when I took leftovers home. Check them out since it's pretty much the only "hot chicken" place in town

Late night pregnancy cravings!! So I ordered from here off doordash, food looks great, food taste great, called and asked for extra side of pickles. . With no hesitation they accomidated that with my order!

It's not just IG pretty but hella good too! We got Combo #1 with 1Hot chicken slider and 1 medium chicken sliders with fries; Combo #2 with 1 medium chicken sliders and 1 mild chicken tenders with fries; Angry Mac and drinks. The Hot is spicy! I love spicy food but I like to enjoy my food, so I was very happy with their medium. The mild has a good kick if you're not a spicy person but like flavor. Also, Their angry Mac is soooo good! You have to try the Angry Mac. It has Mac and cheese with chopped up chicken on a bed of fries. It Ate! Service: I am very impressed with the number of workers they have on a Tuesday afternoon. The kitchen was packed and they had 3 people in the front taking orders and handing out orders. We didn't wait very long for our order and I appreciate that. Our cashier was very nice and patient as we figured out what we wanted to order. The place had interesting wall art. I loved the vibe. It was nice and clean. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and will definitely come back soon.

Well! What did we learn! Start with the medium and see if it's spicy first. This boy got 2 hot sliders and a hot tender and a medium tender... I ate the pickle off the slider and i was crying. Needless to say, the medium was perfect. I'll be getting medium and lower from now on. My boyfriend downed 2 glasses of milk after eating one slider. It was hilarious. Disclaimer: The cashier warned him it was ghost peppers and it was hot! The place was clean. Service was great! Free cucumber water. The fries were great! Mac was amazing!

Nashville Hot Chicken is alive and well in Vacaville, and Angry Chickz brings the flavor. I've heard lots of great things about AC but never took the trip to Vallejo to sample. I was happy to find out that a new store was opening up in Vacaville near Williams Sonoma shopping area. I've sampled a few hot chicken offerings from other places so you can say I'm a fan. AC's version is very tasty and addicting. I especially like their offering with rice as a side. The rice is soft and nicely cooked. Not mushy or dry. I can taste the butter and herbs. I think it compliments and cools the heat of the delicious spicy chicken. The cold slaw is good too. I actually tried the medium spicy on a second ocassion and they gave me honey to add to the chicken. I think this is a very successful combination. I'm a big fan of hot and sweet. My other favorite side is the cheesey macaroni. The cheese stays creamy and also cools the heat as well. I also thinks some type of sweet tea would be a nice addition as well. The place itself has maybe 10 tables so large groups maybe a challenge. There is one high topper that can accommodate a group of 8 or share a space. I think outdoor seating would be smart too cause this place gets full quick. Overall they do a good job of getting the food out I a timely fashion. Both times the food was hot and fresh, and the crowds moved through reasonably. Needless to say I will be coming here if I need a my hot chicken fix!

Glad I finally got a chance to come in and try out this spot. Came by with my fiancé and dad on Sunday and decided to stay and dine in to escape the heat for a little bit. They both wanted to sample the angry flavor (I did not lol) so the staff gave them some fries with the angry seasoning on it. After trying it they both decided to stick with "hot" instead. I got medium. My fiancé got the Angry Mac and my dad and I both got the Angry Fries. I also got a side of Mac. After seeing my fiancés bowl, my dad and I both agreed that the Angry Mac is the better option. Everything was really good. Service was great. And their restaurant was nice and clean with plenty of indoor dining. I'd definitely come back :)

Really big portions, super flavorful, juicy chicken! Their menu only has a few items on it but if you're looking for a chicken sandwich, this is definitely a place to check out. Lots of seating and very friendly service

Its great but if be extremely careful with the heat level- cs their regular hot level is extremely spicy, its no joke, im currently having trouble on the third bit of the sandwich mind you i can take down daves hottest chicken easy but not this one angry chicks doesnt play around.

The food could have been better than just ok...the paprika and chili powder seasoning was the issue. It choked the food flavors and the customer. The overpowering seasoning made the food taste 'pasty' and not enjoyable. I had higher expectations with all the rave but not looking at going back to be honest. Services were standard and the restaurant was minimal but ok overall. There are only 7 items to choose, not many different choices to choose from on the menu. My family tried all 3 bowls (medium and hot ordered) and all the same critiques...the spice was 'choking' the taste out of the food. I wish it was less chili powder and paprika and more of a sprinkling to enhance the flavor or allow the customer put the seasoning on it instead.

Probably one of the best chicken places I've had in a long time. I got the sliders and a side of Mac and cheese. Tried the medium heat and X-hot. Both were very good. The X-hot is quite spicy, so buyer beware. If I go back, I'd definitely get the Mac bowl. The place was clean, and service was quick.

Cute setup, friendly customer service and prices aren't bad. All the combos will feed two people, the sandwiches are a decent size. We tried mild, medium & hot; let's say the hot was HOT. Not a spicy hot but an uncomfortable hot lol. Eat at your own risk.

Let's just say It didn't go well my son and I got diarrhea after eating here not sure what happened also had it in the morning. I don't like how they only offer one sauce. What about ketchup or ranch?!! We asked and they said only honey or their special sauce I like my fries dip in ketchup. The chicken didn't really have any flavor. So upset for what we pay $17 per meal you expect more flavor. They had 7 tables empty all dirty and bathroom was dirty. We order to dine in we were given the food to go in bags no napkins, utensils or sauce. My husband asked for sauce only given two for a meal of 4 for entree very disappointed second time here needless to say I won't be back nor recommend it to friends or family. At least offer salt and pepper incase chicken is flavorless

Finally made it here but definitely wasn't satisfied. I ordered a bowl with fries and mac and ordered my chicken mild. I placed the order online so as soon as I got there, it'd be ready which it was. They were nice in there and it seemed busy for a rainy day which I thought was good. The inside seemed to be spacious and had plenty of seating. However, I wasn't impressed by the food. I felt like it was more hype than anything. The Mac and cheese was mediocre, creamy but that's about it. The mild chicken tasted like it had cayenne pepper and I guess I was expecting more of a saucey chicken. The fries were okay but soggy of course because they put it all the way at the bottom. I'm glad I finally tried it but don't feel like it was that good. Maybe I'll give them another try and choose a slider or something else in a different spice level to see if it changes anything.

Well finally got to try I had mixed emotion original no spice I think I liked it when I got to coleslaw it got good pickles hit in was a little bland but I fixed it with a little salt and pepper. I got to say I liked it and would come back again. $7.00 FOR JUST THE SANDWICH

My wife and I don't eat fast food much, but we love angry chickZ. Marylee is always so helpful and kind as well. Thank you angry chickz and Marylee for always making us feel welcome and having delicious fried chicken!

New hot chicken spot in Vacaville and had to try it. Came on a weekday evening and even though the line was out the door, I thought the staff did a nice job with crowd control. Everything felt new and clean but it was still super busy for a weekday. The menu was pretty straightforward and ordering was a breeze. Customer service was pleasant given it's still a new spot dealing with big crowds. I had the hangry fix with medium spice and hubs got combo 3 with mild spice. The hangry fix was a bowl of hot chicken tenders over rice with some mac n cheese and cole slaw. Combo 3 was 1 chicken slider and one tender over white bread with slaw, pickles and fries. Medium spice was just right with just enough of a kick. Perfect heat, as advertised. Chicken wasn't too breaded and was piping hot when it came out. Sides were just ok. Hopefully online ordering will be available soon!

Made it for the opening day. Lots of people. The lines were long but they were moving pretty fast. The staff was patient and kind. Nice and spacious inside area. Food came out hot and portions were decent. Opted for the medium heat and it definitely had a nice kick. Just enough to feel the heat but still enjoy your food without dying. Chicken was moist , fries seasoned well, and enjoyed the Mac and Cheese. Everyone in the family nodded their approval.

We were there for the grand opening and earned some cool merch. The chicken and rice is delicious. The star of the menu is the chicken sliders. They are a definite must try. There is a bunch of different heat levels so it's perfect for everyone.

Come in every now and then with the kids. Marylee is always really nice and friendly, she always has a smile on her face and seems to be in a good mood.

Angry Chickz is my favorite place to eat right now for a good meal. Their food is fresh, cooked just right and is the kind of food that appeals to me. The other day I was craving it (as happens more often lately) but being disabled I usually have someone else go into the restaurant to get our food. Also,I was having a real bad pain day. I called ahead and spoke to a very peasant young woman. I asked if I ordered online and prepaid then would she be able to bring it out to me once I arrived. Although she said she was the only one working the counter at the time she told me to call when I got there and she would bring it out as soon as she was able. I ordered and paid through the app and after running a few other errands, I went to pick up my food. When I got there I saw that they were very busy. Despite her willingness I just could not call and ask her to bring my food out. I walked inside and waited my turn. When I spoke to her she asked if I was to one who had called about bring the food out (she guessed as I walk with a cane) and, of course, I said, Yes. I told her l thought she was probably too busy so I just came in to pick up. She was very nice and said it didn't matter how busy she was she would always be glad to help me out like that. She seemed very genuine and I appreciated her kindness and understanding. I am a fan and customer forever.

Know your temperature level because the food is hot. The food is great. Great options and portion sizes.

I haven't been able to find chicken this spicy and this good anywhere in California until now, and I'm always on the lookout. I just had the best crispy spicy chicken sandwich I've ever had. Got it "Angry" which I believe is their spiciest level and it hurt so good when eating. My mouth is on fire still. I appreciate that they let you choose spicy level. The chicken was also cooked perfectly, juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside. Their fries hit the spot too. I'll be back the next time I stop in Vacaville.

We order at least Once a week with DoorDash.Today we came in store and they were super nice and greeting us as soon as we walked in. I had some questions regarding our previous orders and Marylee G was super helpful in answering our questions and gave us excellent customer service! Thank you!!!

They weren't kidding when they said it was HOT. I could barely feel what I was tasting after having a bite of the angry mac. I'll probably cry if I tried any heat higher. Great atmosphere inside with contemporary music.
