Went on a Friday night. It was busy, but still found a table. Good beer and good music. Service was friendly and prices were ok.

Google
Great local spot for craft brews. I wish they had more handles though. Despite the limited selection a nice variety. Service was attentive. We came during the mid afternoon on a Saturday not too many people here at the time. Had an enjoyable time with my stout.

Google
Wide selection of beers and great space to hang out. Caballo negrito and regal begal two great beers get them while they have them they go fast. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Order the Shoei Rice lager, light refreshing beer, with clean finish. Food and music Friday nights.

Brian Cooper

Google
Really delicious beers here, wide variety of beers and friendly staff. My favorites were the Japanese lager and the Oreo stout! I’ll be back to try the other non ipa beers.

Google
The beer at Angry Horse is great! While I was there yesterday, I had a wonderful conversation with Nathan, the manager of the brewery, and as always, he was super helpful.

Google
Good beer, decent prices. A nice selection to choose from as well as beer to go. They play the music I like (rock, progressive rock, indie, ect...) The dodger game was on, and it was cool inside while warm inside. Service was good, friendly, quick. No food that I saw but I think they sell bar snacks like chips, pretzels, and beef jerky. They have non alcoholic drinks like bottled soda. They take card. I see booths to sit at in the back almost like you see at a restaurant, but I sat at the bar today. Overall, in my experience, it seems like a nice little hangout spot to grab a drink, and try some new ones. Angry Horse Brewery also has tables outside, but I don't think you can take drinks outside. I posted the recent beer menu full of their unique crafts. I was not disappointed going here my first time, give AHB a try!

Google
Great place to kickback and relax. However they started having a DJ on Fridays that plays the music extremely loud that you can’t even make conversation at a table. Other than that it’s a great place to watch sports!

Google
Always a good time at this brewery. Great tasting beers and seltzers, great atmosphere, and friendly staff! I'll always go back!

Yelp
The beer is always on point. Lots of space and pet friendly Street parking and behind business

Yelp
The avg 4 stars to this place had to be fake. Horrible customer service, unorganized and mid level brews. This place will make You wait in line while the bartenders server their "locals" or "friends" first. They don't allow you to walk up to the bar. You must wait in line. But when it came to "friends", they made sure to attend to them first. In a sense, they did cut the line. And people were upset. Save your money and time.

Yelp
The service my family and I received yesterday was atrocious. I work in the industry myself and could not believe we were being treated so poorly, it was unbelievable. We had a reservation for a birthday celebration and we had 2 tables for the 30 guests we were expected to have only for the employee with blue hair to take the table away from us due to a mistake on their part and a band that was booked last minute. The reason we booked for last night 10/4/24 way in advance was because there were no events on the angry horse schedule. Our reservation was for 8pm and the reservation signs on the table said 6:30ish which is not at all acceptable. Her customer service was not helpful or acceptable she was rude and said "things happen". The band took our second table and let their guests take it and disrespect my family in the process. They released our balloons that we bought and brought to the location as well. My mom had to tell the rest of our party not to show up as there was no space for us like we requested in our reservation. All the girls working behind the bar had serious attitude and yelled at us while we waited for the people in front of us to move so we could order. I told them we were waiting for space so we could move up. Not okay at all. This place needs new employees or more training. Needless to say none of us will be back and our birthday celebration was ruined.

Yelp
I'm very disappointed at the experience I had last night. To preface: This brewery is walking distance from my house. My husband and I liked to grab a beer after work here, we like the beers and the "chill" ambience. So, I wanted to surprise my husband for his bday, picked last night because there were no events on calendar. request was for 8pm. Was happy to hear I'd have two tables reserved for my group. To my surprise, i walk in to a band setting up and there was a room full of people. My reservation meant nothing, within 15 minutes a member from the group grabs the "reserved sign" and tossed it. I placed it back, Only to have your blue haired associate walk over and let me know I was late & was going to accommodate the customers there. She was rude about it when I questioned the incorrect timing and accommodating my guests when they arrived her response: " things happen" My balloons were just untied and released, the crowd that was there to support the band made it uncomfortable for us to be there. I texted the rest of our family and friends that we were expecting and told them not to come. Literally ruining the celebration I had planned. The focus for your associate was catering to the demands of a group you'll probably never see again but have lost local and frequent customers due to this!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I had some business to do near here and had some time so we stopped by this brewery. The ambiance was typical of local brewing. The bartender was nice and friendly. He loves double IPA but unfortunately, they didn't have it I sipped the beer he ordered, which was good. I didn't see any parking but could do street parking in front of the brewing. They have outdoor seating, and I saw someone had a dog so you can bring dogs. Overall, the experience was good!

L. W.

Yelp
I was so glad to try this spot. It feels super local and the staff were friendly and warm. The beers were really good me they made me and my dog feel extra welcome! The vibes on the space felt down to earth and real! I will be coming back :)

Yelp
Angry Horse Brewery, LA 5 Stars, 1/7/24 Quality/Quantity - Caballo Negrito Pale Lager - My favorite, glad he recommended it. I am currently a red drinker, but this had more flavor. East LA IPA - Refreshing and smooth, especially for an IPA. My tasters - Burning Barn Red, Montebello Pale Ale, Mango Milkshake IPA, Hop It To Me IPA. Atmosphere - What a great atmosphere, both the employees and other patrons were very welcoming. These are the types of breweries/bars I like to frequent; they have the "cheers" atmosphere where everyone knows everyone. Good size brewery, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor seating - Table, booth, bar, private room, etc. Open 7 days a week. See Yelp or website for specific hours. Different food trucks, see menu for today's choice. Very small game section, see picture. Cool decor in the bathrooms, hope it minimizes graffiti. Service - 5 stars. Self service water. Events - Comedy night, trivia, dancing, DJ, bands, karaoke. Price - $15 + generous tip. Love it when the prices include the sales tax, thank you. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2012 and with this location since 2017.

Yelp
Ambiance: Angry Horse Brewing sports rustic wood. In slight eccentric contrast, walls have retro stripes. Surprisingly, there are plants and a chandelier, They play my favorite tunes, ala Of Monsters and Men. They have weekend live music. A selfie spot is available. Beer: Angry Horse Beer is fresh and tasty. The servers are clean and alert.

Manuel O.

Yelp
Great beer, cool atmosphere, friendly staff. I believe they have karaoke night sometimes. See you soon

Brian C.

Yelp
Really delicious beers here, wide variety of beers and friendly staff. My favorites were the Japanese lager and the Oreo stout! I'll be back to try the other non ipa beers.

Yelp
Walked over here after eating at the BLVD Market. Man, I wish I knew about this place sooner because this would've been my only stop of the day! The beers are fantastic and refreshing and the place has tons of seating, games and they have sports on too.

Mina L.

Yelp
I enjoy coming to the Angry horse brewing. They have the best seltzer guava to be precise. The ambience is pretty chill and dog friendly. Also, kid friendly..the service is good depending on the bartender. The Angry Horse is always my weekend. Stop.

Aaron T.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night an hour before closing and there was still a good amount of people hanging out having a good time. The beers were reasonably priced; I paid 8.50 for a pint. I thought my beer was quite tasty. They have outdoor seating that's dog friendly, as well as two indoor seating areas with an assortment of games.

Rick M.

Yelp
Absolutely great spot to have a beverage. I had a Pio Pico, my wife went for the seltzers. The beers are better than the offerings at other local breweries and I found out that the seltzers are made in house. A jewel of a spot that's clean, filled with god music and a great staff. Five stars for sure.

Alicia C.

Yelp
Came for a friend's birthday and had a great time. Solid music, chill vibes and the mango cider worked its magic. We were able to bring our yummy eats from BLVD Mrkt across the street. Not many people bring dogs or kiddos like other breweries. All in all I will for sure come back to Angry Horse.

Delia Arian N.

Yelp
This Just-In: The Brewmaster position has been filled and he is awwww-mazing! He brings the vibes, the tunes, and overall the good atmosphere. Thanks to him, Rusty, and the whole staff, we keep on coming back. Huge plus, we can bring in the babydog which deserves an A+++. They also have karaoke/live music nights and food trucks which are phenomenal! Great brewery in a great vibrant town!

Alison D.

Yelp
My first visit to Angry Horse. I saw they were serving BBQ on Saturday so we decided to check it out. The brewery is roomy and has a casual vibe. All beer is made by them . Really tasty stuff with interesting ingredients. They offer a beer flight and hard seltzer also home made. It is a tap room so not much in the way of food but luckily Zander's BBQ showed up around 3 pm. THE FOOD WAS AWESOME. Homemade brisket hot links, beef and pork ribs, rib tips and pork belly. Great sides too. I would definitely recommend Angry Horse, the beer is awesome. If you can go when Zander is manning the grill even .

Sophia B.

Yelp
My go-to brewery, I love this place. The beers are delicious, the atmosphere is always fun, and Crystal the bartender is so sweet and always provides us patrons with the best service. If you haven't stopped by, please do, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Angry Horse Brewing in Montebello, CA, had fun family vibes with cool decor when I was there on 6/18/22. The high ceilings make it echo. The kids played a giant Connect 4 game and banged a large drum. A men's softball team and their SOs were having a good time. None of this phased me as I was ready for some good brew. I sat at the bar with the food I brought in from The Chicken Koop across the street. Outside food is allowed in as Angry Horse serves only brew. Sometimes especially on weekends there is usually a pop-up taco stand, etc. set up out front. I tried Gettin' Warmer ($6 for a pint), an American stout (6.4% alc/vol). I thoroughly enjoyed it. It entailed "Hints of molasses and tobacco are balanced by notes of Meyer lemons and a smooth woodsy finish. Firm bitterness." The bartender laughed when I raised my eyebrows over the Strawberry Milkshake IPA. Lol. One of the owners came back over to me when she got busy and gave me a sample. While it wasn't something that I would personally purchase it wasn't bad. I opted to take home The Beast 4-can pack ($16.75). This Belgian Golden ale (8.5% alc/vol) was really good! The cans had a nice design. I didn't notice the "GIDDYUP!" on their glasses until I finished, but thought it was fitting. Free street parking nearby and a lot around back.

Stef G.

Yelp
Cute vibe , As someone who isn't a beer drinker I LOVE that most of them are very light tasting . Nothing over powering . & you can taste all the ingredients . Definitely put love into it

Dora C.

Yelp
This is a fun little stop if you're in the mood for a nice, cold beer. Friendly tip: no food is served here, but you can bring your own. There are a couple of places right across the street if you want something to eat. There is also a CVS close by of you want to pick up some snacks. My cousin and I decided to check out this place and we were in the mood for a cold beer. It has a warm and fun vibe as soon as you walk in. We sat at the bar, but there are other tables inside and outside. They have a decent selection of beers. We started off with the Caballo Bravo. It's a blonde ale. It was my favorite. We followed it with Purple AF which was more like an IPA and had a slight fruitiness to it. It was good, but I preferred the Caballo Bravo. They also had some live music which was nice. It set the tone for the evening. They played a wide variety of music. They had everyone singing along and some people were dancing. It was a great evening. Definitely going to come back and try some of their other beers.

Anthony R.

Yelp
Great beers great service! Star recommended great options and conversation! The white horse is fantastic! And she played great peruvian cumbias. Definitely coming back soon!

Yulissa G.

Yelp
My go-to brewery! I have been coming to Angry Horse for years, and it is absolutely filled with the best beertenders and regulars. Delicious beer and immaculate vibes, thank you guys for bringing the community together over craft beer! A special shout out to Crystal, one of the sweetest and most knowledgeable beertenders with the sweetest pup! Please continue doing what you guys are doing, much love!

Dana G.

Yelp
The drinks they have flowing are always of good quality. My favourites are the beast and purple af. The servers are great. Crystal is always on point.

Luis C.

Yelp
Met my buddies here for beers on a weekday. They didn't have food so I ordered pizza that was delivered from Domino's. The Caballo Bravo beer was very tasty and It was Karaoke night so there was a good crowd! I'll definitely be back when the boys want to meet up.

Danner S.

Yelp
Tasty selection of interesting brews. Enjoyed the interesting flavors and hue of the brews. Good stout, Caballo Negrito was very tasty. Overall very tasty. Only negative, no food.

Madeline C.

Yelp
Called to verify and even sent a message asking if they'd be showing the LAFC game last Saturday, they're meant to be a bar partner and always show the games. Around game time my party and another party of people that were going to watch the game arrived, there were showing other things on, bar pretty empty, so we asked if they could put the game. A bartender said he didn't know where to find it, then proceeded to not do anything for 10 min until we asked again. He started changing channels and ended up putting a galaxy game instead of the one we asked. After that bartender disappeared... did not say anything. We would have been fine with him saying he didn't know where it was or simply say they weren't not showing it but he simply left. At the end of the day we all left, we were like 8 people who would have consumed drinks for about 2 hrs. I don't think that's a good thing for the bar. We've been to this place before, and even though the service is slow because they only have 1 or 2 bartenders we can back many times. Maybe for the future staff should be informed of the schedule for the games IF they are going to show them, and if they're not, then let the people know. It's a shame because we're all trying to support local businesses but sometimes the attitude of the staff is just not right.

Lucas D.

Yelp
Justin was a great bartender at a great bar, this brewery has multiple beers worth the try. I'm gonna have to keep coming back until i try em all

Yelp
(Tasted 05/24/19 FR @ 2:00pm): There was no need for any horse to be angry at this brewery! I came across Angry Horse Brewing as I looked for investment properties and explored the city of Montebello. I had no idea of this brewery and instantly rounded the corner, found myself in their parking lot, and minutes later inside with a flight of beers in front of me. This impromptu visit lasted well into the evening while a friend decided to join me. Would I saddle up on this large pony again!? SERVICE Greeted by an attractive bar maiden, I told her I planned to sample all of the beers on tap and just systematically provide me with flights, which worked perfectly! She checked on me regularly and delivered my orders quickly. I stayed longer than expected for various reasons, but she made it all worthwhile; great job! There were several large TVs while Doo Wop music blared in the background. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Angry Horse Brewing was a fun find and would love to return. I generally like their beers (mostly the heavier ones), the atmosphere was alive, reasonable prices, and outstanding service. As with most breweries, you were allowed to bring your own food or purchase from a nightly food truck in their parking lot. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $59.00 BEFORE any discounts/tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

Yelp
I have to say...Cristal and Sulli are some of the best bartenders I've ever met! They took care of me for my birthday and they are the best and freakin Hot!

Diaz J.

Yelp
Super Chill and Laid back spot. The drinks are great, they have non-alcoholic options. Indoor and outdoor seating and they sometimes have live music. A Great place to hang.

Pete S.

Yelp
Neighborhood bar feel, ya know since everyone seems to be wearing plaid here. I haven't been on the main drag of Whittier blvd since the crusin' days back in high school. Now, there are cool places like Angry Horse to relive the hood life and complement those Tommy's chili fries down the street. The setup of the brewing has parking in the rear, side and front patio style bench and upright seating outside, and inside has bar like seating as well. There are beers they brew and guest beers. Some are in cans but the beers here aren't going to be high in ABV. It's more like a place to chat and enjoy the nightlife type of brewery. At least, that's the feel for me. I do dig this place but the beers to be quite honest tasted all very similar to me. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but for the brewery to grow it should bend it's boundary a bit, and explore some of the beers that they're not used to brew. Their stouts weren't what I think and for $7 a pint it wasn't terrific. But I do have to tell you though, when they have a band inside playing, it was pretty cool singing along. We had tacos from a food vendor, that was delish. Will be back for the vibe, not so much for the beer here.

Giovanna D.

Yelp
I've been wanting to come here for quite some time and have heard such great things that I can now confirm are true! The vibe here is very chill and laidback. They have plenty of seating both inside and outside - high tops, tables and booths - for both large and small parties. The tap list is a decent size and the beer is delicious! I seriously have not tried a beer that I didn't like. They host fun events from time to time and have live music on occasion. Keep in mind that it can get fairly crowded on the weekends, but worry not, you will find a seat! Located on a corner, they have their own parking lot right behind the establishment and plenty of street parking. They are right across the street from the new Blvd marketplace so it's nice to get some food at The Blvd and then walk over and grab a brew at Angry Horse. Highly recommend this local and fun brewery for the beer and the vibes! You can't go wrong!

Jessica O.

Yelp
Cool place with good vibes! Went to the Brunch they had today, really awesome idea. Yummy food, great drinks and good music! Crystal the bartender was great and super attentive! Thanks for bringing the vibes! Hope to come out to the next event!

Marco S.

Yelp
You can buy and bring your own food into the brewery. The service is always great as all the brewmasters are always helpful and knowledgeable. The ambiance is so relaxed that time passes by and you don't even feel it. They have food trucks or pop ups all the time. Now they also have special events such as bingo, karaoke and comedy night. I highly recommend this place.

Rudy R.

Yelp
We arrived here at around 3pm on Saturday. The place was about 25% full. We noticed they had some very comfortable looking bar stools. We made a B-line right for the two on the left near the water. Being exposed to typical bar service we were completely ignored by the bartender. She did not greet us or ask us what we're drinking. We looked at each other puzzled. We try to get her attention but she turned slightly so that she couldn't easily see us. I *think* they expect patrons sitting at the bar to get up from their chairs to order from a different place. This is the first time this has happened and obviously the last time we'll be visiting this brewery. We love supporting local breweries but this type of service was very bad.

Chantelle R.

Yelp
Love this place! The bartenders are great suli and crystal are awesome Great beers and great service

Dee B.

Yelp
Love this place ! Great vibes with a tasty selection of refreshing beers . Crystal is the best ! Very friendly and great customer service !

Mike M.

Yelp
This brewery is as close to perfection as you could get. Great beer, great vibes, and great service! If you every get a chance Star is always bumping the best Playlist and makes you feel at home. She's amazing!

Boniel C.

Yelp
My go to for a beer always real chill and good vibes Crystal always coming in clutch good service always real chill if you haven't been here and like beer it's a must try!

Amy L.

Yelp
What a great place! Karaoke night was amazing. Everyone is so welcoming and can't beat the selection of beer.

Michael B.

Yelp
Had East La IPA and the double IPA. Neither were good. Both were overly sweet. Overall not impressed at all with the beer. Perhaps their other offerings are better.

Jason T.

Yelp
One person working on a Saturday is pretty cringe. Beer was okay. The mixed ones are incredibly sweet so ask for it less sweet in advance since they will not be able to help you if you come back to ask for a change.

Vanessa P.

Yelp
Great Beers! Great Space! Met a few former colleagues here for a and loved this place. It's in a great location on the main drag. They have a large outside patio With tables out front and picnic tables along the side. Every beer we tried was excellent! The night we were there they had a guy playing guitar (he was great!) and a taco/burrito truck around the side. They're right across the street from a cool container food court style spot so you can grab food and bring it over to eat w your beers. Definitely recommend this place

Susan K.

Yelp
Nice little brewery, nothing special other than one beer with a "bubble gum" flavor that was really good.

Amy K.

Yelp
This place is so good, I came back a few days later. Today I tried: 1. Wit-tier blvd - attributed to its location and street full of low riders east LA represent! It's very light, crisp drinkable beer. 10/10 2. Regal beagle - blonde ale. It looks golden, tastes interesting and not common. Has a hint of spice at the end, micro bubbles and bit of bitters. This one makes me full. 6/10 3. Brussels metal - Belgian pale ale. Hmm. It looks nothing like a typical Belgian. Has a dark red color. Definitely tastes like an IPA with no extra frills, just super micro brewed IPA. It has a slightly more delicate flavor than most IPAs. 7/10 4. Rye me a river - saison. Another lighter beer with medium golden color. Very drinkable. One of my favorites cuz it's not super carbonated to make you full. 9/10 5. The maiden - milkshake IPA 6.2% - wow! There is just a hint of strawberry. It's nice and light, goes down smooth and creamy but still an IPA without that metal taste. Love! 10/10 6. Pina - milkshake IPA 6.6% - like it's sister but flavored like pineapple 10/10 7. Purple AF - hibiscus saison - oh my goodness...whoa! Ok. Hold up. This is for ppl who like crazy flavors. It's gentle and a sour. Not too crazy. If you like sour beers, this is it. 7/10 8. Hop waffle - Belgian IPA 7% - so I like it but it Fills me up. If you like medium bodied, with some sweet, some honey, some hops...it's this one. It's good, I'm just full by now. Lol 8/10

Yelp
Decent beer but lame service. At first I thought the grouchy bald beertender was having a bad day but 3rd time here and same results. If we wanted a douche bag beertender we would go to the art district. Leave this neighborhood if you're trying to make a quick buck. Also if I order a flight of beer know the difference between your Hazy IPA's. A recommendation.... crack open a beer and listen to some Eazy E !!!!! Best and cheers !!!

First time here. Lots of space to hang out with family and friends and watch the football game!
