Anime Treme X Toronto is an amazing event for anime lovers! Great energy, friendly community, and fantastic cosplay everywhere. The mix of culture, music, and creativity makes it truly unforgettable. A perfect place to meet new people and celebrate all things anime! Even better, they’re an official reseller of Tamashii items from Tokyo, so you’ll find exclusive figures you won’t see anywhere else. A must-visit for true collectors!

The experience was nothing short of amazing. The displays were beautiful and vast. The prices were fairly high though I was able to get an amazing deal on an extremely rare figure.

I had a very disappointing experience at AnimeXtreme. First, the prices are extremely high compared to other anime stores in Toronto. Many items are marked up much more than they should be. Second, the staff attitude was very poor. When I was in the store, the employees were speaking in Japanese and saying negative things about customers. It felt very unprofessional and uncomfortable. Also, the store does not allow photos, and they don’t let you bring any food or drinks inside — but there is not even a small table or place to put your drink, which makes the rule feel very unfriendly. Overall, the atmosphere was uncomfortable, and I would not recommend this store. There are many better anime shops in Toronto with fair prices and much better service

This review isn’t about the staff — it’s about the owner/manager, an old Asian man with glasses, whose behavior was shockingly rude and unprofessional. I had set my bag down and walked around the store (as per their policy); when I came back to pay, I noticed he had moved my bag without asking. When I went to check out, he smugly remarked, “Are you FINALLY done?” — completely unprovoked and unnecessary. The tone instantly changed the moment the transaction went through, as if basic politeness only applies after you’ve paid. The store wasn’t busy either, which makes the hostility even more baffling (though after reading other reviews, I can see why). A store’s attitude starts from the top, and the way this owner/manager treats customers is unacceptable. I won’t be returning — and based on how many people report similar experiences, I’d strongly suggest you take your money elsewhere.

The shop lives up to its name, the store is small so there is a a limit on how many can be I there which is appreciated because you can move around the aisles with ease. Since you need to drop your bag off at the counter, I would want to get a ticket/badge back so no one takes my bag accidentally. The store is filled to the tops with figures, build kits, manga and merchandise. They have a massive variety of characters so there is something for everyone. In terms of cost the products are on the pricey side. The staff where very nice and I would go back to treat myself to a kit sometime.

The staff in this store seem to be very arrogant. The first time I came here, a male staff member looked us up and down rudely with a strange smile. The second time I came, I was holding a milk tea and didn't see the sign at the door. After entering, a middle-aged man wearing glasses told us very rudely that we had to take the drink outside. I understand your rules, but you could have told us politely and been more friendly. Not everyone is obligated to know all your regulations. Is this store racist?? No one wants to be treated so rudely. Don't always assume that people will know all your rules in advance. You can remind me, but there's no need to order me around.

Store has a good variety of products, but the staff were strangely rude to my friends and I. They kept hovering around while we were browsing the manga, and making it pretty clear that they wanted us to leave faster than we were. I wanted to buy at least one thing since we had been there longer than they wanted, but eventually gave up and just left without buying anything because they were making us feel so uncomfortable and unwelcome. Also overheard them treating another group of customers similarly. I don’t know why you’d keep such a big stock of stuff if you don’t want people to spend at least a few minutes deciding what they want.

Why is the guy working here so rude to everyone? 😭 I thought he was rude to me and then watched as he snapped at and spoke down to several other customers, too. Not to mention how uncomfortable it is to be treated like you're going to steal something any minute by having to leave your bags all in an unmonitered area and being watched like a hawk by like 4 employees in this tiny store. Never wanted to leave a store quicker than yesterday when I visited :(
