"At Anita, you will stand in a long line in a very pink and green room behind Upper East Siders holding their goldendoodle puppies while club remixes play at a volume that is unsafe for continued exposure. It might feel like standing in line at a bar, except at the end there’s no watered-down drinks, there’s gelato. This gelato is not for purists—there are 36 flavors, including things like lemon meringue pie and banana split—but it’s a decadent way to end a fancy evening on the UES. Once you get your cone, escape the noise and head to one of the tables outside, next to a couple that probably inspired a scene or two in Succession. Media magnates, they’re just like us." - Willa Moore

This place was crowded! We waited in a line of about 15 people and then more came quickly behind us. A friend recommended this ice cream place when we were looking for dessert options. We ended up having to eat it in the car because the huge families that were there took up all of the tables both inside and out. It is a kosher establishment if that means anything to you. It is also very expensive. They have these teeny tiny cups but they pile a lot into them. Toppings are free, I was told, if you put them on top and not as a side. All of the employees were brown and all of the clients were white. Point being, not too much diversity, if that matters to you. It is gelato. It was good but not worth the money in my opinion. The service was efficient as the line moved along nicely. The smallest size allows for up to 2 different flavors and a large is for up to 4 different flavors. It was about $37 for 3 people. Two people had the smallest size and one had the largest size.

This place is super cute and really clean, with a fun mix of classic ice cream parlor charm and a chic vibe. I tried a few flavors, and the cheesecake caramel I ended up getting was delicious. We went on a Sunday evening and the line was LONG (think Disney World long) but if you’re willing to wait, the flavorful ice cream is totally worth it in my opinion.

Flavors and texture just unreal, so so delicious. If you have a large group, recommend the to go containers and you take home extras! They give you cones to take home. Service is amazing and they are always so patient and let you try any flavor you want. Pistachio with pistachio sauce is incredible, milk chocolate and hazelnuts, and pavlova with mixed berries if you like fruity flavors.

The place is gorgeous with all the sparky lights. The smallest size is still a lot, and they told me the most popular flavor was hazelnut, which tastes like kinder chocolate. Its a 6/10 for me but the price is $9 so maybe 7/10

Anita Gelato in Miami is hands down one of the best Ice cream 🍦 spots in the city! From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed into a beautiful space filled with incredible flavors and a warm, inviting atmosphere. But what truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service, especially from Stav. Stav goes above and beyond to make every visit special. Her dedication and kindness make all the difference. She doesn’t just serve gelato—she creates an experience, making everyone feel valued and welcomed. And the gelato? Absolutely phenomenal! Every flavor is rich, unique, and crafted to perfection. Whether you’re a classic vanilla lover or adventurous with your choices, there’s something for everyone. The attention to detail, from presentation to taste, is unmatched. Anita Gelato is more than just a gelato shop; it’s a place where flavors, ambiance, and outstanding service come together to create unforgettable moments. If you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out!

Second time in this beautiful place, the atmosphere is very nice, I particularly like the decoration. There is a lot of variety in ice cream flavors, they have vegan options, sugar-free, my favorite is coconut, I am a coconut lover so I recommend it 100%. I can't wait to visit them again.

Upon entering Anita Gelato, you walk into an inviting ice cream shop. The colors and decor of pastel colors and cases of colorful gelatos, make it a very unique experience. There is an extensive flavor selection. From classic favorites like dark chocolate, pistachio, white chocolate pomegranate, and salted caramel. Expect the unexpected for flavors. The gelato is displayed in a traditional Italian style. With so many choices, they were very helpful in letting you try different flavors before you make your choice. The gelato is fresh, with a smooth, creamy texture, but it is rich and a bit thicker than traditional gelato. If you are used to the traditional Italian gelato from trips to Italy, this is not exactly it. They do not have the traditional flavors. But, I would say the creative flavors and the extensive amount of choices allow for everyone to find something they will like. The staff was friendly and patient, allowing customers to sample flavors before making their final decision. The girl helping me even thought of flavors I may like and started to bring me different spoons to try. I was very appreciative of her time to make recommendations for me and be so patient. This is a great gelato spot that is not only a great dessert but a fun experience. They have indoor and outdoor seating. A parking lot in front with lots of parking.
