This gelato is such an experience! First of all, can I say it is one of the most beautiful looking Gelato shops I've seen in LA? The color theme seems like a combination of the musical Wicked with its soft pink and green, as well as Italian and mid-century charm. The presentation of each Gelato in its swirly mountain are gorgeous and mouth-watering as well. Thankfully, they taste as good as they look. There are the regular flavors like Chocolate and Mint Chocolate for the OG, and there are Italian staples like Pistachio and Limoncello. As for me, I just love the Cheesecake Caramel Cookies, Stawberry Mascarpone & Ricotta, Salted Caramel, and White Chocolate & Pistachio Cream. You really can't go wrong with the selection they have here! Just don't be surprised if the line is out the door because Anita La Mamma del Gelato is very popular! Enjoy!

Anita Gelato is an excellent ice cream shop with rich, flavorful, and perfectly crafted gelato. Weekends can get quite busy—which is a testament to its popularity—though adding a few more staff during peak hours could make the service even smoother. On the bright side, parking is generally easy to find, making it a convenient spot to enjoy some of the best gelato in town.

Totally stumbled in… and totally loved it! Came here by accident and wow—what a find! You can taste as many flavors as you like (seriously, no judgment here), and the staff is super chill and friendly. The place is clean, and the ice cream? Not just sugary sweet, but full of flavor. Perfect pick-me-up after a meal or when that afternoon slump hits. I had Chocolate Cream & Hazelnut, Mango, Pistachio, and Chocolate with Almond & Caramel. Mango was a little too shy on flavor for me, but the rest? Chef’s kiss!

06/15/2025 I've been seeing this spot for months now each time I go to Chipotle next door, but I never had the time to try it till today. I tried four flavors (water melon and mint, chocolate cookies, white chocolate pistaschio creme, and something with hazelnut and crunch in it. I would say the experience were great and I didn't expect the portion to be more than I wanted for $12. The young Israeli woman who helped me was also very nice.

I’m not someone who eats ice cream often maybe once a year, and only if it’s really worth it. The first time I tried Anita was when they opened about two and a half years ago. I had a small taste of the salted bagel gelato, and I was instantly hooked. Since then, whenever I’m in the mood for a treat, this is the only place I go to. Their gelato is on another level rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. Everyone I know raves about this place, and the lines out the door say it all. Anita truly lives up to the hype. If you’re an ice cream lover or even if you’re not this place is a must try.

Variety to pick from. Absolutely delicious. First time here, hardly waited in line. The staff was very hospitable. Plenty chairs and tables were available, inside and out. Super clean too. Great place to take your family or a date.

This gelato shop is a must-visit on Ventura Blvd! The moment you walk in, you're greeted with trendy decor and a fun, welcoming vibe. The gelato selection is huge--all homemade and absolutely delicious. They also have soft-serve options, which is a great bonus if you're in the mood for something different. Perfect spot to grab a sweet treat while strolling Ventura Blvd. Fun at night or a good treat during the day.

Oh-em-gee! This might be my new favorite dessert spot in the Valley, and it's so cute inside, too. They have so many creative and delicious flavors to choose from, it's nearly impossible. Thankfully, they allow, and even encourage, you to try several flavors before making your selection. The staff was so kind and patient. I feel like these days most places don't let you sample flavors anymore... here they do! Favorites: 1. Bueno something ...(as in Kinder Bueno) 2. Caramel Cookie Crunch (tasted just like Biscoff cookies)

Wow, what a Gelato shop! Hats off to the interior designer who designed this beautiful store! The combination of gols, green, and pink takes the best of Wicked and places it in a very decadent Gelato shop! And the rich, delicious Gelato themselves are just as satisfying as the decor. No wonder the line is out the door! I had the Mascaporne & Ricotta with Strawberry as well as the Pistachio Crème Brule. I highly recommend both of them as they are bursting with flavor and yet don't feel very heavy. Just the right amount of sweetness, richness, and texture, especially with the pistachio crumbles.

The gelato here has the perfect texture! I like the variety of flavors, and the ones I've tasted are all delicious. The only downside for me is the price, which adds up after taxes and tip. Service was okay. The staff worked pretty quickly. Finding parking in this area was pretty easy.

I love the gelato here! There are so many delicious flavors to choose. I gave a generous tip for allowing us to taste every one of those flavors.. The staff were very sweet. My favorite was the pavlova and mixed berries, cheesecake caramel, and hazelnut mousse. They were all equally delicious. The party that was with me loves mint chocolate, pavlova mixed berries and white chocolate cookies! Oh and strawberry mascarpone and ricotta. Y'all should check it out! You will not be disappointed!

this gelato spot is so beautiful and there are an abundance of flavors but i was shocked to find the ones i sampled weren't very good. even the limoncello flavor i ended up getting was extremely sour and hard to eat. the mixed berries and hazelnut flavors were good though! although the small size seems so tiny, i found that it was the perfect amount! i also like that we get to choose and enjoy 2 flavors! there are both indoor and outdoor seating. it is also open until midnight which is amazing for a late night sweet treat. park along ventura or go into the sub parking garage!

The globally-recognized Anita La Mamma Del Gelato has finally landed in California, smack dab on Ventura Blvd. in the heart of Tarzana. I remember once trying this gelato while I was traveling through Australia and thought it was amazing! Surely this cannot be the same...but it is! Taking over a newly renovated space, this location is light, bright, and very cheerful. Plenty of tall glass walls and ceilings, indoor seating and lots of deliciousness. The treats here are are 100% hand-made, and whatever flavor tickles your fancy, Anita has you covered. You can pick from over dozens of different kinds of gelato, frozen yogurt, sorbets, and organic sugar-free, fat-free, soy-based and real cream-based ice creams. Everything is also flavorless-free, so bring your taste buds and your sweet tooth, you will be enjoying yourself. On this particular visit, I decided to go with a two-flavor regular cone. After a couple of free samples (just to make sure), I decided to go with something called "Cookieman" and "Milk Chocolate Pretzel." Both of these were out of this world. Small batch, handmade and incredible. The "Cookieman" was a rich creamy light chocolate ice cream, with chocolate covered cookies with some caramel swirls, while the "Milk Chocolate Pretzel" was exactly that - a creamy vanilla with milk chocolate pretzel bits. An amazing balance of sweet and salty. The staff are friendly, the location is great, and the two regular flavor scoops for $8.25 is slightly higher-than-average value considering the quality and the size of the scoops. This is an underground garage with 90-minutes free for customers. There are also clean, well-stocked restrooms for customers.

The variety of flavors distinct from the typical shop alone are worth the visit. Couple with the fact that everything we tried was delicious, I will be willing to make the trip out to this part of town. The service was fast and friendly, and the ambiance matches the experience. Wow! Everything you ever thought you knew about ice cream or gelato forget it. This place makes you experience gelato on a whole new textural and flavor level. With so many to choose from, you really can't go wrong. I dream about their white chocolate pretzel flavor all the time!

Love this spot! Will for sure have a line through the evening on a hot day, but it's worth it. So many flavors to choose from. This is a must if you're looking for something sweet! Parking garage right behind the building but there's also metered spot right in front if you can snag one (they're always taken).

Upon arrival i was greeted by the staff and at first look i was impressed by the establishments decor. all the gelato was so beautifully displayed. such a variety of colors and flavors. i had their chocolate flavor and a strawberry. oh so good ! you can sample all the flavors if you like. there are so many to pick from. their portions are very well served. cant wait to be back for more.

Only the best Vegan flavors ever! The chocolate cookies to die for! Way better than in Italy, and I just came back from there! Caramel Cookies Mouse yum!!! The front girls and boys are always super nice and helpful. And finally, everything is very clean and you could tell, they take it seriously, because there are no contaminated flavors because of one falling into another. Everything is clean and beautiful. Even vegan waffles and beautiful bags, for take out.

Saw that this gelato place was open late on a Saturday night (Midnight) and decided to stop by. Wow I did NOT expect the line to be so long! The first thing I noticed was the cute decor! Loved all the bright round bulbs and the Gelato sign, which gave the initial impression of a very welcoming ambiance. I could also tell this place was well kept - an employee was cleaning the windows where the flavors were so we could get a better glimpse of the mounds of gelato. I absolutely loved the hazelnut crunch, which had a perfect sweetness to it and wasn't overwhelming to finish. I should have tasted the pistachio before getting it, but I thought it wasn't bad at all. They also added a little cookie on top of my two scoops. After seeing this place, I think I want to try almost every flavor here. Without a doubt, I already know I'll be coming back to this place many times.

Great little Gelato shop in the Tarzana neighborhood. Its on the corner of the shopping center next to Chipotle & LA Fitness (how convenient ha ha) Great store placement catch all the gym people & the chipotle eaters The ambiance & decorations are very inviting & for those social media influencers great content as they say these days as far as looks goes The busy hours, Ive noticed to be usually Fri-Sun after 7-8PM with Saturday being there busiest time. The lines can get a little long but usually goes along relatively quick, believe it or not They have quite a few people working behind the counter, all usually very helpful & happy to guide you on your picks. You can try small samples before you make your final decision There are a lot of choices they have also done a great job making it look like a classical Italian gelato spot from Italy. The gelato's are all piled on throughout the display setting, great eye candy. The quality is really good, you can tell that the taste and quality of their ingredients are great. They've done a great job creating a great tasting gelato I dont have a particular favorite, as Ive liked all the ones Ive tried, but the pistachio one is really great I recommend everyone to try out this place. I try to get a different flavor every time I go now. There's so many good ones!

Like this ice cream place, Anita LA Mama Del Gelato. They they serve varieties of ice creams, with cons or in cups in different sizes. The minimum of order is 2 scoops of ice creams. Customers can ask for samples to taste their own choice of ice cream. Keep in mind the line is out of the store. Some inside and outside siting areas are available. Line is moving little bit slow since everyone asksfor samples.

My friend and I got the small cup with two flavors. It is so delicious and literally two flavors goes along way. It melts pretty fast, especially with it being so hot out so that's the only negative but other than that the flavor is amazing and the service is great. The place is super beautiful. It is like, the Wonka factory but even better. Love it breaks and how I feel when I step into this place. It is a must try.

The service is amazing! I wish I had asked for the name of the person who served us she was the sweetest most patient woman ever. Even recommended her favorite flavor and it was delicious!!! It was the almond chocolate one. The line is always out the door at this place and now I know why, the flavors are so rich and delicious. Not to mention it is so beautiful inside. Maybe we should gatekeep this place because it's one of one here in LA lol. Just kidding, but this chain is famous around the world and in NY and I hope it may stay a little secret but probably not for long. All their gelato taste amazing and the interior of the place is utterly gorgeous. I'm not the biggest ice cream, gelato, etc fan...so it has to be really good to impress/satisfy me. Anita hits the target on all marks - service even with busy lines, flavors, interior design/ambiance, and I love that they have a petite size!

You walk in and it has good ax and many tables to sit after you. There are so many different type of flavors and treats to put on top of the gelato. There is also frozen yogurt and they have a good delivery system. I enjoyed it very much and they put large portions.

Anita gelato was perfect for this year hot summer day! The customer service was so welcoming and helpful offering tasting samples before deciding what my final gelato flavors would be. I ended up choosing their macadamia and pistachio flavors. With a helpful spoon to scoop if needed. Making my tastebuds super happy! Inside was a beautiful ambiance with comfortable seating and plentiful of room space. This was my first time experiencing Anita gelato and I'm happy to say I will be craving and back soon!

Wow! By far the best gelato I've had. Let me start off with the service here was amazing. The staff was friendly and extremely kind. I had to run out to get my wallet and the staff held my place in line. They gave my daughter a sample of the flavor she wanted and even transferred the small cup to a bigger one (incase things got messy). Service alone already has me wanting to come back. Ok now the gelato again the best I've had. My daughter went with a raspberry flavor and I picked vanilla (we shared because she's only 2 ) the vanilla has loads of flavor. the raspberry was also delicious and full of flavor. We will definitely be back here. Forgot to mention the shop itself is really cute and perfect for a cute picture.

What a gorgeous place with yummy ice cream! It was our first time and from the ones I tried, salted cashews were my fave. Can't wait to try more of the other flavors too. Thankfully, we beat a rush of people so there was no line when we got there. The staff were friendly. Parking was underground and free for a certain time. Good experience overall :)

Unfortunate but customer service here is awful even if gelato and ambience is great. Patiently waited in line only for this man behind the counter to ignore us and completely skip over us. He was helping the party in front of us then when they were done, he completely skipped over us and went to the party behind us when we were cleary next. His coworker who was at the register noticed this and she was nice to acknowledge us and help us as soon as she was done. Very disappointing especially for such a nice place.

Stumbled upon this place driving down Ventura Blvd at night, got attracted by the bright lights and the cool vibe of the place. This is a gelato place that was an array of different flavors, and this place seems to be pretty popular as the line was pretty long but went by fairly quickly. I let her choose the flavors and we agreed on the strawberry and coconut flavors. The strawberry was fresh, not too sweet, and smooth. She absolutely loved the coconut flavor, usually I find her not finishing the dessert. But this place, she couldn't get enough of. She really wants to come back to this gelato place. The workers were helpful and patient with us.

What incredible gelato shop. This was an old Starbucks location, but you would never know that by looking at it. From the moment you walk in, everything is aesthetically pleasing. The line of people was crowded around the case waiting for their samples and orders. Employees packaged beautiful to go containers, while others serviced the line of people. Gelato was piled high in each container, and everything looked incredible. Samples are handed out, and you don't feel rushed. I landed in the passion fruit, and strawberry combo. Only feedback on the passion fruit would be to strain the seeds out. But both the flavors packed a fresh punch, and aside from the seeds, the texture was like velvet. Tried a bit of my sister's chocolate pretzel and was blown away. I bought for 6 of us and it totaled in the $50 range and then added tip. Will definitely be returning for more. Because it's Ventura blvd, there is either street parking if you can find a meter, or the big underground parking behind the shop. You're not going to be disappointed at this stop.

Such an incredible gelato and froyo spot. It was refreshing to see all the fun and yummy options they had. Great change from the usual menu gelato spots would have. Big location with plenty of seating and a chic interior. Staff were very friendly and service was quick. This place does get busy during the weekend, expect a waiting line. Parking shouldn't be a problem with plenty public parking options around. A must visit spot which will surely get more visits from me.

The passion fruit mascarpone combination is refreshing and rich and surprise bits of passion fruit and mascarpone cheese. Also we had the Belgian chocolate is also a great treat to chocolate lover like us. Service is excellent, they didn't complain that we wanted to taste a whole bunch of flavors u til we found what we like. It's a beautiful elegant place. Black and gold luxury decor.

they were serving this at the dior pop up in early march! and honestly, our mouths dropped when we tried the gelato! i would have gotten seconds if it weren't for the long line! i was still thinking about the gelato weeks later and had to do some research to find out which company catered! hope to try other flavors when i get the chance to visit their storefront! - pistachio rose gelato

It's really good!! They have ton of flavors and they let you sample & are generous about it! The ice cream is good! It's about $12.48 with tax for a large with up to 4 flavors. The place def have a European vibe and it's super pretty. They have nice little tables outside too.

Very decadent HIGHLY RECOMMEND I've only been back twice and I LOVE that they're open til midnight I enjoy getting the green cup Pistachio was my first I did pistachio again Then last scoop was hazelnut MOUSSE Hazelnut MOUSSE is better than the hazelnut cream in my opinion Second time I got green cup again Double hazelnut MOUSSE and last scoop banana & date Literally a chocolate banana Will be coming back! Wow wow wow !!! I have never seen an ice cream place like this with so many amazing flavors to choose from in my life ! It's so difficult to choose what flavor you want because they all taste so good . The service is outstanding. They're so patient and they let you try any flavor you want. The price is a little bit expensive, but honestly, it's worth what you're paying. It's gorgeous here they have inside and outside seating. If you like music, they play nice songs inside. Don't wait run! I just have a small complaint that I think they should take to consideration . When you're going to such an expensive ice cream place, I think that they should serve cold water and not water from the sink when you ask for a cup of water.

I like to review gelato places all over Los Angeles & surrounding areas and say the good and bad things about them. Let's start by saying there are no negative things to say about this place, only the pricing is a little more expensive than other places but when you try it you'll understand why. The dark chocolate flavor here is astonishing! They let you have as many samples as you want until you found your perfect flavor. The staff is nice and the location is perfect on the corner with nice outdoor seating on Ventura Blvd. The place itself looks beautiful there's nothing like it. From the marble floors to the huge gold doors in the front.

Best Gelato I've ever had! I heard about the location in NY from a family member who couldn't stop talking about it. So when I found out there's a location nearby, I HAD TO try it. Gotta say, they were so right! You have to try this place, the long line is so worth it!

My new favorite gelato spot! My friend took me here knowing I would love to try this place. First, the whole place is so clean and gorgeous. The green and gold colors make the restaurant pop and also gives it a modern, classic feel. There were so many flavors to choose from! The staff there are so kind and had no issues with letting you taste flavors before making a decision. I got the cheesecake biscuit and the tiramisu in a small cup. Everything was amazing and delicious and the cookie they put on the side was great. The staff was really kind too and let me know I should come back for their seasonal flavors since they are adding one for Halloween. I will definitely be back!

Gellato: Good tasting Gellato; although, the Pistachio one is on a very sweet end. The coconut Gellato is very delicious on the other hand. Ambiance: Very nice ambiance inside and outside specialy in summer the inside is very cool. Very clean interior and comfortable chairs. Service: The service is acceptable, and people are polite. Price: The price is on the expensive end. Parking: There are parkometers on the street and some around the neighborhood.

Absolutely nailed chocolate flavored gelato! Their cookie based flavors were too sugary for me but the dark chocolate flavor is a must for any chocolate lover. I also got the lemon flavor which was a bit bitter but the chocolate flavor made up for it. Another star was the kinder bueno flavor which was not exactly my cup of tea but definitely the best bueno flavor I have had in LA. The workers are very helpful and patient as you try different flavors. However, the prices here are definitely high but not out of the usual LA realm. The inside is decorated very well and almost feels fancy, would definitely recommend to sit down in the store while enjoying your ice cream.

My new go-to gelato place! The inside is nice and clean. They have tons of flavors and my favorite would be their Mascarpone & Ricotta with Strawberry! The texture is great and not too sweet for me. I also really liked their cappuccino. The staff are very nice and friendly. I came here a few times at night and there were street parking available.

I worked next door while this restaurant was being built. It was definitely worth the wait. Gelato is very fresh and balanced. The presentation is spectacular, beautiful addition to the valley. This place always has a line out the door, just a friendly reminder that they have maintained their quality. Staff is friendly as well.

Really wanted to like this ice cream. Tried 3 different favors and didn't like any of them. Sad.
