Great new place! Also, the best deal in town!
I have eaten here a whole bunch-o-times morning, noon, and night and it is consistently delicious, nutritious, digestible, filling, and warming for the heart and soul, body and mind, so I find!
Delicious dishes, friendly service, pretty fabric on the tables, and a selection of flags and artwork adorning the eating area's walls and ceiling. I find this to be an easy place to go to -- so many restaurants are so much work, especially the newer ones in this same area that have icky screens instead of humans you're supposed to interact with. This restaurant, on the other hand, is 100% human! You may enjoy a QR code menu. I do not. You may like standing and ordering from a big screen on a wall. I do not. I prefer a human recognizing my face -- and in this case, I have even found that my previous orders are remembered! That's not guaranteed, of course, but when I ask about something and am told I've had it before, it does help! Magnificent! In fact, I feel like taking a break from writing this review to run out and try something new there right now! I haven't had the plain baleada yet, ha ha! I am very much looking forward to it. ( Okay, so sometimes when I write a review, I get hungry thinking about the food! This is the first time, though, that I actually went out and ate at the restaurant I was writing about before finishing the review -- to give you an idea, it's that good! The baleada simple, by the way, is excellent! Not only that, it is more than one -- and super-duper filling, so I found. Mmm .... )
Nothing I've tried has been a disappointment in any way! Oh, and the drinks are great, too. My fave is the tamarindo .... The chips are light and totally different from any I've had elsewhere -- they feel much healthier and more wholesome, not greasy and overly-filling the way so many places' chips are .... Really, nothing is amiss in this place and you can't go wrong! Highly recommended! Yay! :-D
Oh, bonus if you like travelling and feeling like you're going somewhere else, stepping into another world -- it's like that for me, at least! What a relief from the hustle and bustle of sometimes overly-electric Rockville and the D.C. area, East Coast, entire U.S., etc., ha ha! Why not take a culinary trip to Guatemala? It's here for you!
