Fun bar with a nice vibe. Food was really enjoyable, the cocktails were great and the staff were really kind. Only setbacks were they were out some flavors of soju and the seafood pancake was slightly underwhelming. The fried chicken, pork trotters with cheese and marinated pork jowl were easily my favorites. This bar is definitely a little more on the expensive side but in my opinion was worth the money. My friends all enjoyed themselves here!

Delicious food and friendly staffs! My personal favourites were bossam, jellyfish salad, beef tartare and garlic chicken! I don't normally drink but their drink menus sounds delicious! Will definitely visit again.

Went here to try their Korean raw marinated crab…. And boy was I disappointed. Overpriced for bar food/ snacks. We spent $100 on 3 items (raw crab, chilli cheese fries, Korean pancake) and 2 cans of pop. Its super dark inside and I don’t think they have AC it was quite warm. They do have onsite parking available which was nice. Upon sitting we were given warm water to drink on a hot humid day.. Service was great, they were super friendly and attentive. We ordered the raw crab half soy sauce and half spicy. It was my first time trying it and I left feeling nauseous and sick from the food. The fries were mediocre, not worth $20. Pancakes I couldn’t even finish half of it. Definitely an experimental visit and got the marinated raw crab crossed off my foodie bucket list but I will not be back.

The food was amazing here. We went on a Tuesday and it was dead inside. Maybe on weekends it gets busier? The server was super friendly and attentive! The inside was spacious and clean! There is even a parking lot in the back which is great!!

What a great hidden jam amidst the many restaurants on Yonge St! If you are looking for a place with very authentic Korean food that goes well with drinks, this is the place to be. There are two areas to this restaurant. The front part is where you can order dishes regular style, and a back part for Korean bbq with gill tables. There are some adventurous dishes, such as the beef tartare made with actual strips of beef (instead of minced), and raw marinated shrimp - both actually quite tasty if you are up to trying them. Really love the pork belly here as well. Definitely recommended! For more great eats, check out and follow me @instantonium on Instagram

I went specifically to try out raw marinated crab, and it was a very pleasant first experience! Not fishy at all, flavours were very nice and balanced. Ambiance was a vibe, definitely a good spot for casual drinking with friends. Portions are a little bit small, but expected for bar-styled food and dining!

The worst Korean food I ever tried. Taste really bad and very expensive. The soup taste really bad and priced $30. Fired garlic whole chicken is just come with garlic sauce on the side, the chicken is too salty and meat taste weird, so we remove the skin for our dog.

I’ve been here a few times. Always had a good experience. Sometimes they give you free popcorn :) the patio is fun. Had green grape soju and kimchi pancakes and my friend had deliciously crispy dumplings. Ask for the hot sauce dip - it’s truly yummy.

Yelp
Come here for late night drinks/ snacks! This is often where my friends and I hang out on weekends for cheap drinks and comforting korean bar food. Think soju, beer, tteokbokki, fries and anything else that is fried. The ambiance is that bar vibe you can typically expect at any bar. They have this extension back room that is built with wood, and you feel like you're in some sort of cabin. It's usually always decorated seasonally and feels very homey. Their raw beef with pear dish is a must get. Super fresh, cold and refreshing to the palette. It's sweet and has a nice bite to it since the beef is so cold and previously frozen. Tteokbokki is saucy and spicy and great for sharing. All other fried items are very standard (fries, onion rings etc) but a nice fried item to have on the table to go with your beer/ soju. Come here or the cheap pitchers of beer and a great time with friends! I find myself always coming back here since it's so casual, easy to get larger group tables and service is always there! Check it out!

Yelp
A really cozy and cute bar next to a busy street. Ordered pork jowl, pork belly, seafood pancake, and pork bone soup hot pot (spicy). The grilled meats - pork jowl and pork belly - were really delicious and you could taste the char even though it wasn't cooked right in front of you. I think the pork jowl wins the round if I had to choose a favorite grilled meat for this meal. I did not realize that the pork bone soup was going to be spicy. I was hoping it was the clear pork bone soup but thankfully it wasn't too spicy. Lots of large pork bones with plenty of meat was in the soup. The seafood pancake came out and I did not expect such a huge seafood pancake. I think it could probably feed 5-8 people. Was there anything overtly special about the place? Not really. But everything was cooked well and the server was really nice and attentive the whole time. I think this place would be good if there was a large group because the portions are pretty large.

Yelp
Got to check out this place on a Friday evening! They were able to accommodate us as we did a walk-in which was great. The patio is in full force however if you want kbbq, they seat you in their covered patio. We tried the seafood pancake ($28), cold noodles ($12) and their kbbq (short ribs and pork belly). The seafood pancake is a generous size however you only get small pieces of seafood in it which I find for the price, not worth it. The cold noodles were good, as it was refreshing and broth was flavourful. The bbq is average however they raw pieces they give you are thick slices and they are hard to cut yourself. The short rib is bone-in so after it's cooked, you will notice a lot of fat on it, which means the meat ratio isn't a lot especially for the price. However the great thing is they give you unlimited Banchan (side dishes) which is always a plus! Check out @ooi.eats for all food reviews and your next food adventure.

Yelp
Okay this is probably the most authentic korean restaurant I've ever been to! It has a korean grandma in the back cooking the food! And while other places tend to be either korean bbq or korean dishes.... this sports both, and does both amazingly. If you enjoy sweating garlic then the whole fried korean chicken with garlic sauce is just for you. I loved it but my mom thought I ate garlic for breakfast the next day . Their other korean fried chicken is equally good and I really enjoyed their slow braised pork belly and their jelly fish dish . I wasn't a huge fan of monk fish but their cold snail noodle dish was soooo good! And get their marinated raw shrimp in sweet soy sauce... omg that was the best! They have tons of alcohol options and their soju is great with all the food... their cocktails are pretty fancy. Their desserts are great as well... from cream puffs to creme brûlée's ... it's actually a great eatery just I wouldn't have ever guessed it looking from the outside. Seriously I drove by this place at least 100 times not realizing what a Hidden gem this was. Go get your korean food fix here...

Yelp
Absolutely speechless, came here a few weeks back with a large group of friends. I never felt inclined to write a review for any restaurant before but this place was really something special. The lady who owns this place was amazing, she always had a smile on her face and it reflected everyone who worked there. Some of my friends left their wallets at our table as we made our way out and she chased us down to return them to us. The atmosphere was super cozy, happy and fun, we felt like the music and decor really added to this. I don't know how authentic this would be to a bar in Korea but it sure felt like we were in Korea. The service was beyond expectations, the servers constantly checked up on us even though it was a busy night. Didn't pretend to not see us when we waved them down. Asked us how we liked the food. They even took some of our song requests which really made the night special for our group. They had every soju flavour you could think of and more. The food was amazing we got the Suyuk, Tteokkbokki and Deep Fried Platter. The suyuk was basically bossam but substitute the sauce and cabbage for slaw like salad. I didn't expect the salad to be so flavourful and fresh it took some spotlight off the pork. The pork was very tender, juicy and thick cut. The deep fried platter was great for a big group where everyone could find at least one thing they would enjoy. Hashbrowns and soju was surprisingly good! The tteokkbokki although pretty spicy for my taste was the most flavourful tteokkbokki i ever tried, i could really taste the different layers of flavour it wasn't just drowning in spicy sauce. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
I ordered the Kalbi Beef via UberEats and i was so shocked at the quality of the food. Even near closing the beef was cooked perfectly and fresh. I did not expect the extra rice, sides, and drink given so it was a cute surprise and very generous of them!

Yelp
I already previously made a 5 star review about this place. Id just like to add that I was calling some months back and realized they had closed & I was devastated!! I decided to give it another try last night and they picked up and I was so happy honestly. Please dont close. They are the cutest , & left me extras in the bag as gifts. Their spicy pork belly will forever be my favourite . Best korean spot

Yelp
This place is very underrated!!! I came here with one of my friends a few weeks ago and ordered 2 kinds of pork bbq, a kimchi pancake and soju. The BBQ comes with a ton of side dishes, lettuce, soup, the works. Definitely worth the money. It was also kinda cute bbqing in the outdoor area connected to the restaurant. A great place to drink soju and eat some bbq!

Yelp
This place is only good for cheap alcohol. The food, I think I can cook better. We ordered the half half chicken, the batter didn't taste good. The Jelly was too sour, and the presentation of the beef tartare was bad, the taste was okay. The spicy shrimp was too soggy. The soup of the ODEN tasted very instant noodle like. I will only come back for alcohol.

Yelp
It was a really great experience! We just moved into the neighbourhood and had never had Korean BBQ before. But after a full day of tearing up 1960s carpet, we were open it admit to the servers that we knew nothing and needed help. Everyone was great. We ordered the short ribs, pork belly and green onion chicken...and two bottles of soju. Awesome servers and great food in a chill atmosphere

Yelp
Great patio and service. Food was good overall. Staff adhered to COVID-19 regulations. I really enjoyed the sizzling beef platter and rice cake. Would come back here for drinks again.

Yelp
Great spot for Korean bar food and drinks. The beef tartar, spicy pork belly, fried chicken with green onions were delicious! Let me also add that you shouldn't leave without having some desert. We had the matcha creme brulee, mango-coconut mousse, and chocolate-passion fruit mousse were all five star in my books!

Yelp
I would give this place 3 1/2 stars. The service was great when we were there, we were the first customer since they open at 4pm. It's not so busy yet since it's new. What attracted my to go here is the amount of side dishes/banchans (around 12 kinds i think) but I was disappointed that most are lacking in flavour and some are very plain i.e. boiled broccoli. The bbq itself was ok, the fried chicken was kind of a letdown, & the gopchang was the best thing we've ordered... I don't I think I'll go back again.

Yelp
It was a little dark inside but hey, it's a bar. I've never been here and so did my friends, so we asked the staff for anju suggestions. She recommended sul gook,(white pork bone soup) and it was actually really good! Their food was pretty good I wanted to come back and try other menus. They also have very cute somac glass

Kimmy W.

Yelp
Everytime I come here I always get beer and Korean dishes. I enjoy dogani tang which is a korean style soup. It goes extremely well with soju. Sometimes the music can be a little bit too loud but overall enjoy the atmosphere.

Yelp
Very cozy environment and the price is very good. If you like fried chicken and beer, you should not miss it.

Yelp
The place was gross and I found a fly in my food. Also the workers are super rude. Especially the manager. I visited last night and the manager started fighting and arguing with me over a small request.Could not believe he was the "manager". Really this place disgusted me from the food to the interior all the way to its pathetic staff and owner, who btw stood there and didn't do anything.I have been going there for the last 3 years and I will NEVER go again, EVER. Avoid avoid avoid this place at all cost unless you want to be treated like shit.  When it was hells chicken that's when this place was always packed! Because the old owners actually gave a crap about their customers. This place is going down hill especially if they keep John the "manager" around. Go next door to bang bang where you won't be treated like scum and there food is wayyyyyy better.  Rude, gross, expensive

Chris C.

Yelp
The worst Korean bar ever!!! You have been warned. I have been coming to this bar for last 10 years before the change of new management, but I would never go there again, nor bring any of friends. The new owner is terribly rude and draft beer tastes suck. The food is also considered not edible. The color of their cooking oil is darker than your engine oil...

Yelp
Me and my close friend tried this new, cozy, hip Korean "Anju Bar" in North York--if you love Korean food, makgeolli and good times together, this spot is for you (and friends)! Pa Dak / green onion and deep fried chicken cutlets were scrumptious. Calamari, excellent. The jellyfish salad was exceptional... 5 stars, friends. Compliments to the chef. It is like I'm back in Seoul, South Korea but without the expense of a plane ticket. Ahh, seoul comfort food.

Tom M.

Yelp
They have great food!most fav is chili cheese fries!must try it! They have sake, korean soju and beers. Their draugh is fesh probably one of the best around north york! MUST TRY Delirium Tremens on draught!!!

Angelica C.

Yelp
After reading the other reviews I was skeptical to try this place but I'm glad I did! The service was actually great! Servers were very friendly and attentive. The owner Even came to see how we liked everything. Portions were decent for the price. My personal favourite was the seafood (scallops and garlic butter shrimp). Tasty and fresh. Also had the ribeye and short ribs. The meat was tender - ribeye could use a bit of seasoning but overall I liked it. Lots of free side dishes. Spicy rice cakes were really good too - I like that they actually had a kick to them. Good ventilation so my hair didn't smell like bbq after. I would definitely come back !

Yu C.

Yelp
Came to this place a couple times (alone and with friends) so I decided to leave a review. From all my visits, I was never disappointed. Anju provides great beer selections but even greater food. The tonkatsu and pork ribs are a definite must. The menu overall has great selection. Good price and really good quality. Cheers.

Yelp
Came here with a friend to try this new korean bar. I must say i was really impressed by the quality of the food and service. The waitress serving us was so sweet and helpful. We ordered a fried chicken and kalbi and really it was one of the best I ever had. The kalbi in particular had a nice charred flavor and the portions were generous as well. But my absolute favorite is the yuzu cloud. It's so unique u really have to try it for yourself.
