The restaurant is amazing! 14 points G&M. Kudos to Petra for finding us a table when arriving late and for the great service! The rooms are renovated and very comfortable. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting Appenzell! We will be back!

We were there on valentine’s day. The food was very good and they had a good choice. The service was very attentive. They always asked, if everything is fine and we received lots of extra food as greetings from the kitchen. the location was very sweet and the food was also not to pricy. All in all it was one of the best evenings we had.

Excellent service, bright, clean setting. For a small village this restaurant's standard is pretty good. Presentation of the food was good, portions were just right for me but for others, I think it would be a bit too small. There was a big choice of dessert in small glasses and that was pleasing to all who hadn't had enough to eat. My favorite was the creme brulee. This was a set dinner together with a fashion show. I would go back .

The rooms were very clean, perfectly prepared (a detail like a coffee machine, filled with water, ready to use) and very comfortable. Staff was top friendly, asking all the right questions offered a child bed for free.||||Dining||Amazingly good, all fresh prepared with a lot of handmade details and the menu was a bit shorter than usual, but it was still so rich that I had to decide between three favorites. And for its state (Michelin / Gault Millau) the bill was surprisingly low. The staff took its time to find out all the special wishes and even the child got a specific kitchen surprise.||||Altogether, woow, you did a great job! Thank you!

Went to the restaurent with colleagues. We hadn't booked and it was Saturday night on one of the busiest weekends on the teufen calendar. The restaurent was filled to capacity but they accomodated us in a separate room. The service was exemplary and the food fresh and beautifully prepared. Thank you guys. We will be back.

Very nice modern remodeled property, very comfortable bed and cutting edge bathroom. We loved it. However we stayed in the summer/August when the Restaurant (Betriebsferien) was closed and therefore very limited service.

The Anker hotel offers the perfect balance of price-quality: it's part of the British Airways suggested hotel so you end up saving some money when travelling via BA to Oslo and booking the Anker in the BA website. The hotel is minimalistic but very clean: it has a great reception with super-friendly staff (Ida was extremely helpful finding the train times for my transfer back to the airport) and a very nice communal area for reading, working or kill the time. The breakfast area is very lively and the food looks good: there are not many options for vegan (please make sure to have at least one carton of soya or almond milk) but plenty for non vegan. The area is perfect, close to the canal and to Vulkan, perfect spot for drinks and dinner

Lovely place in the heart of Teufen. Breakfast excellent. We slept well. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and modern. Only, our room was not too dark.
