Anna Maria Oyster Bar Landside

This restaurant is very popular in all of Manatee county, especially with having so many stores. When we went to this restaurant we went with a gift card, so we ordered a couple meals, but this place also has a penny an inch pricing for the kids to eat here. Joy, the kids are not necessarily free, but they're not very expensive either with some decent meals for the meat. Me and my wife's meals were pretty decent, she got the butter and Herb shrimp and scallops, and I ordered the shrimp platter. We also got a couple soups and a salad, I ordered the gumbo since I'm from New Orleans. I was a bit disappointed with the gumbo because it did not really taste like gumbo but more of a minestrone flavor and very acidic. I could not finish that. The shrimp meals however were very good. It was also very funny to have our food delivered to us by the robot that they use at this restaurant to deliver the food. We finished our meal with the key lime pies that are homemade here, which were also very delicious and put on a plate with some type of sour apple sauce on the plate. It was very tasty and delicious. I think it tastes like sour apple... Overall. It's still a key lime pie, but the green sauce that's on the plate still reminded me of a sour apple... The service was great, the atmosphere is also great. When it comes to the food portions, it seemed a little deceptively small at first, yet it was enough to fill my stomach.

I was greeted with a smile and was immediately seated. Sarah came to the table and was polite, friendly, very Knowledgeable, and professional. I ordered the lobster and Sarah recommended the brussel sprouts and the mac n cheese. Everything was delicious. If you're looking for a reasonably priced seafood diner that will exceed your expectations. I highly recommend Anna Marie's Oyster Bar. These folks will treat you better than family and you won't walk away hungry.

Great atmosphere and the kids enjoyed their robot server named “Pearl”. The prime rib was really good and the kids enjoyed their kids menu. Service was very good.

Server was not friendly or patient with my group of 10 Seniors 80+ yrs old did not offer dessert menu after we came an extra 10 miles to visit this location.Food was great.

My wife and I have been traveling the past 5 weeks and eaten at many restaurants but none have been better than this. Our waiter Ryan and the food were both top notch. Tonight's meal and service were the best in our trip. The Gulf Grouper was outstanding. We will definitely return and pass on our thoughts to anyone who will listen. This is the place to go in the Sarasota. Bradenton area. Don't miss the chance.

Service: Gilly was friendly, helpful, and professional. The food: was okay, just thought the Captains Platter would be more...substantial. The indoors: was hopping, has character, and there was a manatee benefit in the outdoor area. Everything was clean.

A nice place to eat with a median price point of $25. You're right on the beach so make a day of it.

They were packed inside and the outdoor table wer well. Imma vegetarian soon wasn't expecting too many options So I with thAlfredo penne no meat It was so good! It surpassed my expectations for a place that's mostly selfish fry type. Amazing totally impressed I ate the whole thing

This place is awesome. Certain days and times are better than others. The fish and chips take you back to Boston... big serving so be hungry. They have a Slamming Salmon special that is worth its weight in good things for our bodies. Also. The mussels provencale are delicious. But if it's more like lunchtime.... Their fish tacos are the best. That being said AMOB. ,-Has the best hamburger in Sarasota. Yep. i challenge any to show me a better one!

I had the Bang Bang Shrimp and it was fantastic. Probably my favorite shrimp dish I've ever had. I also bought two bottles of hot sauce because it was so good

Have been to almost all the locations and first time at this one. Nice newer restaurant wide open and plenty of seating. The staff is friendly and helpful and the menu is consistent from place to place. The oysters are some of then best I've had and the price is reasonable compared to a lot of others. Main meal was also done well with the cobia fish sandwich very good.

Stopped in for lunch before heading to the airport. I had a lunch special appetizer of frog legs. They didn't have a lot of flavor. I also had a grouper slider ( small version of the grouper sandwich). The slider was good but I couldn't finish the two sides. Potatoes and coleslaw. A little too much for lunch. It was a pretty good meal but not great value.

I loved this place when visiting Florida. In fact, I think we dined here 3 times in 7 days. The staff was honestly the highlight but the food was also fantastic. Ate at the bar every time and would continue to when I go back because of the great bartenders. Make sure you check out the daily specials advertised when you walk in. Really enjoyed this place and will definitely return when back in the area. This place was definitely a highlight of an amazing trip.

Went to AMI on the waterfront was $15 an hour to park (yes, insane). Fish & Chips very good. Hh grand rita was terrible too sour mix and too sweet. Our server was great, Camryn. Overall order the fish & chips and skip the rita.

I have passed this place many times and decided to stop in to see of the food could match my cravings. The food, service, and atmosphere exceeded my expectations. The restaurant has wait staff that include a robot to deliver your meals. It's cool and different. I still enjoy humans. If you need a seafood fix, this is your place.

We have now eaten here twice, even though we live out of town. We have family there so we visit often. I would recommend anyone eating at this place whenever they wished for seafood. The first time we came here was during The end of Covid and we had our puppies so we sat outside. Luckily it was a beautiful day and everything was set up perfectly for outside service. The servers were wonderful and helpful and the area to chill in was perfect. The second time we came here was just a few days ago. We were here visiting family and we sat inside near the bar. There are tons of booth seats or tables or sit at the high top bar where there is tons of stool seats. Our super server was super friendly and helpful in making our decision decisions of what to eat The first time we came, I had a strawberry daiquiri and some spicy shrimp, appetizer and fish sandwich. This time, we decided to have the mahi-mahi tacos and the grouper plate. I also drink a margarita. Everyone enjoyed their food and we would all come back here again for third try.

OMG the food here is amazing I think this is my third time here It's always packed so get here early I started off with Ahi Tuna app and garlic Parmesan oysters My main dish was the Florida lobster tail It was gigantic and awesome I really wanted some garlic bread :( Tamara was amazing!!! After a round of golf we needed beers for hydration and food for substance so we stopped here after the lunch crowd had left. Brooke took good care of us and quickly provided our refreshments in addition to Covina Reuben's. The cold beers were welcoming but the sandwiches were perfect as were the accompanying fries and Cole slaw. Good service, cold beverages and great reuben sandwiches- definitely worth a repeat visit

The fish and chips are delicious. My wife really enjoyed the grouper sandwich. We come here often.

Went there while on vacation. The food is very good. I recommend the tropical chicken bowl. The staff is very friendly and will go out of their way for the customer. There is outside sitting as well. Prices are average.

Food good, service this time was OK, always clean. I have had better service here and our server this time was horrible just a little slow for as uncrowded that it was.

Reliably good food with great service-- we had the robot deliver to our table! Hokey Smokes! The fish platter is huge! Our friend took more than half home! I had the coconut shrimp- awesome! And the salad with the berries. I didn't care for the raspberry dressing - next time I'd get a vinaigrette. Get there early, (we arrived at 4) we left around 5 with a line out the door The house happy hour margaritas we amazing and cheap!

While in the area for a soccer trip, we had an impromptu team dinner here. I was amazed that the staff was able to fit us in and make us so comfortable on the spot! We were especially happy with our waiter and his recommendations! With our large party we tried a lot of different dishes and no one was unhappy! Thank you for a wonderful evening despite our poor planning.

The day after a wedding in the family, we were all so exhausted that nobody wanted to cook or clean and everyone was looking for good sea food. After much searching, because it was also Valentine's weekend, we came across Anna Maria Oyster Bar, and boy am I glad we did! They were able to accommodate our large group of 20 day of, the service was impeccable, the food was all good, and the price couldn't be beat for the quality. I believe with everyone there, we had a very good sampling of the appetizers and main entrees. Everyone was very impressed. We will certainly be coming back! Thank you to our server, Gilly, she took great care of us!

Great service with a smile and even offered some suggestions of other places to visit while we were in town. The oysters were really good but very expensive. The other items were good but nothing special.

Food was good excellent, well balanced with the right mix and amount of condiments and therefore flavor perfect. The attention was courteous and prompt.The ambiance was festive and the restaurant was very busy with a line of costumers waiting for a table. It has been a great culinary experience.

The restaurant was very sea themed. The service was good for being a very heavy lunch rush. We were also served with a robot which was cool. I had the "old Florida basket". It was good.

The shrimp was excellent. The food was reasonably priced for a vacation area. I would eat there again.

This is my second visit to this location. The seafood has been on point both times. Current order was a Captains Platter of Flounder, scallops, and shrimp w/preparation options each. Their oysters are fresh daily from the Gulf. And they are bigger than the majority of restaurants to include other Seafood restaurants. They offer an oyster platter and can choose from about 5-6 different cooked options such as Garlic Parmesan, Tequila & Line, Rockefeller, and a few others, to include raw if desired. Great atmosphere and staff is always friendly. My server was Ashley and was fully pleasant and always checking in. They also have an adjacent "sports bar" portion separated by an entry fourier for those moments when u want this great food n watch a game as well I've tried there other location in Sarasota (UTC area) and food is just as great. Their oysters are huge as well. Enjoy!

Happy hour! Repeat happy hour! $3.99 house margaritas. Fried shrimp was a large portion! My boyfriend enjoyed the Alfredo pasta Mom had the coconut shrimp My dad had the ribs. , they came last & he devoured them! We sat at the bar. Great service from mark.

All the Ana Maria oyster bars are very good - we like the one near by in Ellenton & Mary Jo as our waitress - she is def one of ur best servers

The grouper sandwich is excellent , fries slaw and hush puppies very good as well. Wifey loved the clam chowder and we had a very pleasant lunch. Perfect service, friendly too. Will go again

Still as great as the last time we were here. The only difference is the all you can eat fish and chips is $17.95. It is still a great deal and are favorite fish and chips in the Sarasota area. We also love their fresh boiled shrimp served cold or hot. Nothing has changed inside but they do have a new awning in the outside. The fish was great as was the pineapple coleslaw. The French Fries weren't as good as I remembered them. I think we had a rookie as a server. She couldn't explain questions we had regarding the menu as the people complained about her also. We got there at 3:30 and it wasn't very busy. It took over 20 minutes to get our cold shrimps. We had to call her over for drink refills and she forgot my wife's side salad.

I love Anna Maria Oyster bar! It is my go to in this area. I've been here several times and it's always so good! The only time I was disappointed was once when they were out of oysters, which our server says rarely happens. The garlic Parmesan oysters are a must try. The oysters are HUGE! They always have a great daily fish special which comes with 2 sides. I usually gravitate to the special along with a key lime martini. You can not beat the price on the martini! I also love their citrus vinaigrette dressing. This location offers a lot of outdoor seating. If you are outside, ask for Dawn. She is great! Parking is not an issue either. This is a great local spot. Highly recommended.

The food here is outstanding--super fresh seafood, excellent drinks, and great ambience! A huge thank you to Penny for being absolutely AMAZING. Her enthusiasm, charisma, and genuine hospitality made our visit so memorable. We're visiting from Texas, and I've never met anyone with such warmth and energy. Highly recommend this place!

The tequila oyster were the bomb with spinach on it made even better we're great also fish and chips on Friday cod great like up in Wisconsin

Service was great, calamari was excellent. My Ocean Blue Mori was a bit over cooked. Sat outside on the patio which allowed my friends dogs.

It was really good actually!! simple but tasty! Every bit was perfectly delicious and prepared correctly! I have no words for the lobster bisque... exactly how it would be! And the servers tonight were attentive and friendly! Love the small town vibe for locals! Clean space and easy to get to! Noisy but in all the good ways! Will go out of my way for this!

Decided to check out Taste of UTC at Anna Maria Oyster Bar . The salad starter was passable, but lettuce was very limp. The fish and chips were undercooked and the fish was mushy. Decided to get dessert to go and I have never seen such a small portion...photo below. Won't be back.

What a gem! Located in the UTC area it has all you need to have a great time. There is inside and outside seating in addition to bar seating all offering a full menu. The drinks and the food offerings are plentiful and delicious. The service and ambiance were really good and enjoyable.

Consistently good food, and a comfortable atmosphere. Love the oysters, and the mussels were very good.

We stopped by on the way back from SRQ. First time for all of us. It was excellent service, good food, nice menu selection, and good drink menu. We tried the outside seating on a beautiful night and were not disappointed. Be sure to try the Key Lime Pie. It was outstanding! I really think a 4.5 star ranking is appropriate!

Anna Maria Oyster Bar is one of my go to spots to grab dinner and drinks. I love their fish and chips. Very kid friendly restaurant! They offer specials on kids meals during the week and provide books for the kids to read and take home. The servers are always kind and accommodating. We enjoy AMOB.

The one time there let me know never to return again. Everything was so salty it was as if the chef made a drastic error. When I informed the waitress she should let the manager know...... there was no compensation to me in any way. Regretfully I won't return.

Stay away. Don't waste your money. I was roofied while sitting at the bar by one of the bartenders.

We were a party of 8 and our waiter seemed new but very earnest. We love AMOB so I was very disappointed with my fish tacos. They had no flavor. The mango salsa added nothing in fact the mango didn't seem ripe. Sadly the waiter didn't get back to our end of the table to check on how our food was. It was actually another waitress who stopped by to clear some plates who asked and when I mentioned the flavorless meal she did immediately offer a replacement, sadly the rest of my party was finished eating. I do wish I had taken her up on her offer of taking home a key lime pie. At the time I was just so disappointed in my meal I just wanted to leave. I am very happy to report that the other seven meals were as delicious as we expected. When we go back I'll be sure to not order the tacos and I'm sure it will be a much better experience. We love coming here but sometimes the food does take awhile! The outdoor patio is great, the bar area inside is pretty big too. The servers are always friendly and they occasionally have live music. Our wait wasn't too long but be prepared for that depending on your time of visit. The food was good and the portions were pretty large! I couldn't finish my fish & chips. I like that they have local catches as well. Pricing is decent for what you're getting.
