Anna Pizza - Review - Valley Village - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Anna Pizza comes from a wood-fire pizza catering company that just opened their first brick-and-mortar in Valley Village. There’s a long menu of round and square pizzas available, with toppings like chicken pesto, barbecue chicken, and dates with brussels sprouts. They’re also doing a bunch of non-pizza items they’ve been serving at catering events for years, like wings, garlic knot sliders, pasta, and eggplant parm." - Cathy Park

Fantastic new spot! Space is small but feels good. Pizza is made with delicious housemade sourdough crust. The crust is thin and crispy, except for the fluffy chewy edges. After two slices my jaw hurt a little, but in the way that is a sign of really good dough. Pepperoni is the spicy cup variety, which is unfortunately a little oily, but you can get past that with a paper napkin. Best pizza I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend.

Listen, I'm lucky enough to know Chef Thomas and I was anticipating good food. What I wasn't anticipating was that Eggplant Parmesan at a "pizza shop" would rival the high end Italian restaurants I've been to. We were lucky enough to enjoy some extras including the Chicken Parmesan sliders, which are killer. The Brooklyn White is hands down the best white pizza I've had and trust me, I've been on the hunt. Grab a slice for $4-$6 or pop a squat in their charming green suede booths and enjoy a full meal. Either way, 10/10 recommend.

Anna Pizza is truly a gem in the neighborhood. From Chef Thomas Desantis of Fire & Wood Catering, Anna Pizza is a full service restaurant bringing that special NY flare to LA. Pizza is incredible, pastas taste just like Nonna’s. Don’t skip the mozzarella sticks, chicken cutlets, meatballs and arancini or you WILL regret it. Ending your meal with the cannoli pizza will get you hooked for life. Make sure to ask about their garlic knot sliders. This will surely become a weekly spot for me and the family. Nicely done, Tommy and team!!

I’ve been counting down the days for Anna Pizza to open, and it did not disappoint! Huge shout-out to Chef Thomas. You can taste the passion and friendship baked into every slice. The pizza is thoughtfully crafted, the ingredients feel intentional, and the whole space gives that cozy, community-gem energy Anna Pizza is already known for. I love supporting friends, but I’d recommend this place even if I didn’t…it’s just that good. If you’ve been waiting like I have for a spot that feels personal, delicious, and made with care, this is it. Welcome to the neighborhood, Anna Pizza! We needed you. Can’t wait to come back again and again. Do yourself a favor and grab a slice. You’ll be obsessed too.

Excellent pizza! You can taste the quality of every ingredient. The dough was perfect and the mozzarella was so yummy. This is my new favorite spot to grab a slice of pizza in the valley!

This place is GOOD! I absolutely loved the charm of this place. Elegant and modern, with some old-school touches. I just had a slice of cheese and a chicken parm, and it was different… In an excellent way. I don't know how they are making their bread; it's so fluffy and flavorful. Big ups to this place. I feel lucky to live right down the street.

Anna’s Pizza was fantastic. The Blanco (can’t remember name ) pizza was incredible, rich, balanced, and full of flavor. The meatballs were tender and homemade, the garlic knots warm and addictive, and both salads were fresh and well done. Everything felt high quality and made with care. We’ll definitely be back. 🍕

I’m really excited about Anna Pizza. I came in for dinner and the ambiance was everything you want in a family-style Italian restaurant. Right when I walked in, I saw a family enjoying pizza, salad, and pasta dishes that looked so good I actually asked my server what they were having. The design and aesthetic of the restaurant are beautiful—warm, cozy, and thoughtfully put together. Our server was kind and welcoming, and when I walked over to the wood-fired pizza oven, the owner greeted me with a smile. After trying several items from the menu, I can confidently say he’s a true pizza master. Do yourself a favor and order the rigatoni with vodka sauce and add the fried chicken. It was outstanding and exactly what you hope it will be. I’ll definitely be back, and if you’re looking for authentic Italian food in an upscale yet cozy environment, this is the place.

Yelp
I found out about this spot through a local IG post and a few friends and I decided to check it out. We ended up ordering a variety of dishes and took plenty home to enjoy over the next few days! This eatery is from the team behind Fire and Wood Catering so they already had a reputation before building their first brick and mortar. Here's what we tried: *Arancini-Two Sicilian Arborio rice balls served on a bed of whipped ricotta, covered in creamy vodka sauce and topped with fresh basil. *House-Made Mozzarella Sticks-Fresh mozzarella coated in their homemade sourdough breadcrumbs, fried until golden and served with their signature vodka sauce. *Caesar Salad-Romaine lettuce, shaved Parmesan, house-made crushed sourdough croutons, and handcrafted Caesar dressing. *Chopped Salad-Romaine, radicchio, garbanzo beans, cherry tomatoes, red onion, Genoa salami, provolone, pepperoncini, tossed in balsamic vinaigrette and finished with Sicilian oregano. *Rigatoni Alla Vodka-Rigatoni pasta tossed in their signature creamy vodka sauce. *Cajun Shrimp Pasta in a Bread Bowl-Pasta in a Cajun cream sauce with fire-grilled shrimp, served in a warm bread bowl. *Pepperoni Dreams Pizza-Cupping pepperoni, mozzarella, fresh garlic, and vodka sauce, finished with Calabrian chili, fresh basil, and stracciatella. *Philly Cheesesteak-Ribeye with onions and provolone on a homemade sesame roll. *Italian Meatballs-Two 3oz Wagyu beef meatballs smothered in marinara and grated Parmesan, finished with fresh basil. *Meatball Garlic Knot Sliders-House-made Wagyu beef meatballs sandwiched in jumbo garlic knots, topped with mozzarella and marinara. *Cannoli Pizza-Warm pizza dough topped with homemade chocolate chip cannoli cream, coated in cinnamon, crumbled cannoli shell, and a dusting of powdered sugar. Served warm and gooey. As I do not eat red meat, I ate everything but those items. The restaurant itself is small and cozy with only about 5-6 tables, but parking is super easy since it's located in a strip mall. I'll definitely be back to try more of their pastas soon!

Yelp
Anna Pizza is a new Italian restaurant that recently opened in the area and their menu goes beyond wood-fire pizza as you can also order pasta, sandwiches, and entrees. This is not your typical pizzeria since the chef/owner also runs Fire & Wood Catering and they now have their first brick and mortar location. Anna Pizza is located in Valley Village on Burbank Blvd and Whitsett Ave with plenty of free parking. Although they have taken over the space where Gorilla Pies (RIP) used to be, you can expect to still come here and enjoy a delicious slice. I recently did a take out order and got the Brooklyn White round pizza. When I got to the restaurant, it felt like a mom-and-pop neighborhood Italian restaurant with plenty of framed photos as decoration. The customer service was beyond kind and the pizza was cooked fresh inside a wood-fire oven. As for the pizza, my wife and I were happy we went with a Brooklyn White for our first order. It was made with shredded mozzarella, ricotta cheese, shaved Parmesan with fresh garlic , black pepper, and Graza Olive Oil. What made this pie stand out was the sesame seed crust, this was definitely a first. I do plan to come back so I can explore the menu and I hope Anna Pizza is here to stay!

Yelp
Try the pasta in a bread bowl! You won't be disappointed! And the pizza is the best in the area!

Yelp
truly one of the best places in the valley for all italian food! not only is their food equally as good to go as it is eaten there but the dining space to dine in is incredibly comfortable and warming. The ambiance makes you feel comforted and there's a familiar feel of being at home. The service is impeccable and everyone is so beyond kind and willing to accommodate most anything that you need
