The Lawndale Trail offers a lesser-known gateway into Annadel State Park, starting on the Kenwood side and winding through shaded canyons and quiet forest. Noted by the Sonoma County Regional Parks Foundation and recommended in local hiking guides, this trail is especially serene, with fewer crowds than the main entrances. It’s a favorite for birdwatchers and wildflower seekers, and showcases a different perspective on Annadel’s striking geology and plant life.
Just a dirt parking lot with pot holes. This part of the park doesn’t appear to get the same traffic or attention that the rest of this mountain park gets. There are a few trails but BEWARE of tall overgrown grass /weeds on some of the trails. Picked up a few ticks so make sure to check yourself when done.

The best trail and trail head in Annadel. Don't leave anything in your car. Windows get busted here on the regular.

My favorite place to hike! This is the best place to park to access Anadale for free. The locals are always very friendly hiking here. Another place is on Schultz road but the neighbors get upset when you park too close to their driveways. There are wild animals here so be sure to bring a walking stick or a knife. I have been hiking here for over 20 years & still love hiking all the trails. 😊

This is a great way to experience Annadel Park. It's a smaller parking lot but let's people know about this entrance. Worth the drive over

It's a remote corner of the park, but there's less congestion.
