AnnaMaya’s Comeback Story: From Ghost Town to Gourmet Glory!
Once upon a time, AnnaMaya was my go-to food heaven in India—a place I’d happily drop in solo or with family and leave fully satisfied (and maybe a little spoiled). But alas, like a hero in a drama, it went through a rough patch. The food lost its magic, service slowed to a snail’s pace, and the whole vibe felt like a ghost town. Needs a background music 🎶
But guess what? On my latest visit with my daughter, I spotted a shining light at the end of the tunnel. Could AnnaMaya be making a comeback? Spoiler alert: yes!
We kicked off with the vegetarian dumpling soup, which was pretty good (not blowing any minds, but comforting enough).
Then came the main event: dal Makhani, rice, and butter garlic naan. Now, the naan was a little chewy—probably schuld to the maida—but the dal Makhani? Absolute knockout! So authentic and delicious, it brought a tear to my eye.
Now, here’s the real plot twist: the service! It wasn’t just “good enough.” It was back to that warm, attentive vibe from the glory days. Special shout out to Shubham, who, when the kitchen was out of masala chai (the horror!), personally brewed a fresh cup just for me. And Himanshu, our server, kept everything running smoothly.
Only hitch? The food took some time to arrive. But hey, I’m choosing to believe it’s because everything was made fresh and with love.
So, cheers to AnnaMaya’s comeback! May the dal flow forever, and the service keep shining bright. Drum 🥁 rolls please 🎶
