We recently visited the Annandale Wine Estate to celebrate a birthday and had an all-round good time. The event, because of weather, was held in a small room next to the main tasting area, but if the weather was better it would have been held on their beautiful lawn area. The catering was handled by the on-site Familiér deli (reviewed separately), and everything we tasted was full of flavour. During the event we also had the opportunity to sample some of Annandale's wines. From the whites to the reds, we enjoyed all of them. The farm itself is equally impressive. From the big lawn area and kids play area, shaded by big trees, to a small petting zoo, it has everything you need for a fun day out with the family. If you haven't visited yet, I definitely recommend it.

We visited this lovely hidden gem over the weekend. It is a beautiful setting with a calm and relaxed farm house atmosphere. You can do wine tasting or enjoy a coffee and organic farm product from the farm stall. Really woeth a visit if you are looking for a quite relaxing getaway from it all. Their coffee is magnificent and the fresh produce are all arganic and amazing.

Rustic Charm and Memorable Wines Annandale Wines has been one of our favourite Stellenbosch stops ever since we first discovered it many years ago. We always make a point of visiting whenever we’re in the area, and it never disappoints. The tasting room has a wonderfully rustic charm, filled with character, photos, and memorabilia from owner and rugby legend Hempies du Toit. It’s not just a tasting, it’s an experience steeped in history and personality. On our recent visit, we were hosted by the very friendly and witty Pierre, who added a lot of warmth and humour to our tasting. It was also the first time we brought my brother and his wife along, and they were equally charmed by both the wines and the setting. The Cabernet Sauvignon is a standout, and we finished all our bottles just days after the visit - I wish we had bought more! Annandale is one of those places that stays with you. Authentic, relaxed, and truly memorable. We'll definitely be back.

We had the privilege of being hosted by Pierre this past weekend He was so friendly and it felt like being out with a friend The environment was relaxing, inviting and peaceful, not to mention the delicious wines We also got to meet the backbone of the estate, Sweet Bella and Chilled Max Thank you so much for a truly wonderful experience

Quite possibly the most entertaining and informative wine tasting I've ever done (and there have been a few!). Pierre was awesome - chatty, friendly, knowledgeable, irreverent. Wine was excellent and fascinating. Of the 4 vineyards we visited on our day trip, this the one that will stay with me. Don't go if you want a slick, commercial experience. Do go if you love wine and storytelling.

Our host waitress was very knowledgeable. The farm is in original condition and very Interesting. We even met Willem the wine maker. This one is not a tourist trap. Well worth a visit

Awesome place to recommend !!!! First of all the place is so nice. The wine is just excellent. Flagship will be the Merlot 2005. But the cabernet 2020 is gorgeous as well. We had a very very nice welcome from Jean. He is very professionnal, helpful , smiling…and he cooked for us an awesome sirloin steak. We had such a nice moment overthere . If you travel through Stellenbosch please make a stop at Annandale wines. You Will definitly enjoy it . Thank you Jean .

Ordered the 'wine tasting experience' with a group. Really poor experience. All wines served in the same glass, the food coming late after, and no information about the wine or the domain were given, just "you can go on the website if you want to know". If you propose a wine tasting experience, I expect and I'm used to have someone knowing his stuff, sharing his passion. Not an inexperienced and bored waitress. As for the wines, they were low average, except for the porto, which was excellent.
